ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਜਨਮਭੂਮਿ ਤੋਂ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਅਰਥਾਤ- ਮੁਲਤਾਨ, ਸਾਹੀਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਇ਼ਲਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ‘ਡਖਣੇ’ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੈ. ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਦ’ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ‘ਡ’ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਹੈ,{1024} ਯਥਾ:-
“ਤੂ ਚਉ ਸਜਣ ਮੈਡਿਆ ਡੇਈ ਸਿਸੁ ਉਤਾਰਿ.” ×××
“ਹਭੇ ਡੁਖ ਉਲਾਹਿਅਮੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ.” (ਵਾਰ ਮਾਰੂ ੨) ×× ਆਦਿ. Footnotes:
