(ਜਠਰਾਨਲ) ਨਾਮ/n. ਪੇਟ ਦਾ ਅਗ੍ਨਿ. ਮੇਦੇ (ਭਾਵ- ਸ਼ਰੀਰ) ਦੀ ਉਹ ਗਰਮੀ (blood heat), ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਚਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਹਰੂਪ ਕਲ ਚਲਦੀ ਹੈ. ਇਹ ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਹਰਕਤ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਹਰਾਰਤ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ੯੮-੪ ਦਰਜੇ ਫਾਰਨਹਾਈਟ (Fahren-heit){944} ਥਰਮਾਮੀਟਰ (Thermometer) ਦੀ ਹੈ.{945}. Footnotes:
{944} ਇਹ French scale of measuring temperature ਹੈ. ਬਰਫ ਜੰਮਣ ਦੀ ਹਰਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ੩੨ ਨੰਬਰ ਦੀ ਮੰਨਕੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਬਲਣ ਦੀ ਗਰਮੀ ੨੧੨ ਦਰਜੇ ਮੰਨੀ ਹੈ. ਇਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਵੰਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ. ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਅੰਗ੍ਰੇਜ਼ੀ Centigrade ਜ਼ੀਰੋ (ਸਿਫ਼ਰ) ਤੋਂ ੧੦੦ (0-100) ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਰੂਸੀ Reaumur ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਤੋਂ ੮੦ (0-80) ਹੈ.
