ਨਾਮ/n. ਚੰਦ੍ਰ (ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ) ਦਾ ਬਹੁਵਚਨ. “ਜੇ ਸਉ ਚੰਦਾ ਉਗਵਹਿ.” (ਵਾਰ ਆਸਾ) 2. ਰਜਾਈ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰਲਾ ਵਸਤ੍ਰ, ਜਿਸ ਪੁਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਆਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਛਪਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ। 3. ਫ਼ਾ. [چنّدہ] ਉਗਰਾਹੀ। 4. ਕਿਸੇ ਸਭਾ ਅਥਵਾ- ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਅਖ਼ਬਾਰ ਆਦਿ ਦਾ ਮਾਹਵਾਰੀ ਚੰਦਾ (subscription). 5. ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਆਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਧਾਤੁ ਅਥਵਾ- ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ ਆਦਿ ਦਾ ਟੁਕੜਾ. “ਚੰਦਾ ਡੋਰ ਮੇ ਪਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਗੁੱਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਇ ਪਹੁਚਤਾ ਹੈ.” (ਜਸਭਾਮ).
