ਹਰਿ ਭਰਿਪੁਰੇ ਰਹਿਆ ॥
हरि भरिपुरे रहिआ ॥
Har bẖaripure rahi▫ā.
The Lord is totally permeating and pervading everywhere;
|
ਜਲਿ ਥਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
जलि थले राम नामु ॥
Jal thale rām nām.
the Name of the Lord is pervading the water and the land.
|
ਨਿਤ ਗਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਨੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
नित गाईऐ हरि दूख बिसारनो ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Niṯ gā▫ī▫ai har ḏūkẖ bisārno. ||1|| rahā▫o.
So sing continuously of the Lord, the Dispeller of pain. ||1||Pause||
|
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
हरि कीआ है सफल जनमु हमारा ॥
Har kī▫ā hai safal janam hamārā.
The Lord has made my life fruitful and rewarding.
|
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
हरि जपिआ हरि दूख बिसारनहारा ॥
Har japi▫ā har ḏūkẖ bisāranhārā.
I meditate on the Lord, the Dispeller of pain.

ਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਹੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
गुरु भेटिआ है मुकति दाता ॥
Gur bẖeti▫ā hai mukaṯ ḏāṯā.
I have met the Guru, the Giver of liberation.
|
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਸਫਲ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
हरि कीई हमारी सफल जाता ॥
Har kī▫ī hamārī safal jāṯā.
The Lord has made my life's journey fruitful and rewarding.
|
ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਨੋ ॥੧॥
मिलि संगती गुन गावनो ॥१॥
Mil sangṯī gun gāvno. ||1||
Joining the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||
|
ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕਰਿ ਆਸਾ ॥
मन राम नाम करि आसा ॥
Man rām nām kar āsā.
O mortal, place your hopes in the Name of the Lord,
|
ਭਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਬਿਨਾਸਾ ॥
भाउ दूजा बिनसि बिनासा ॥
Bẖā▫o ḏūjā binas bināsā.
and your love of duality shall simply vanish.
|
ਵਿਚਿ ਆਸਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਾਸੀ ॥
विचि आसा होइ निरासी ॥
vicẖ āsā ho▫e nirāsī.
One who, in hope, remains unattached to hope,
|
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸੀ ॥
सो जनु मिलिआ हरि पासी ॥
So jan mili▫ā har pāsī.
such a humble being meets with his Lord.
|
ਕੋਈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਨੋ ॥
कोई राम नाम गुन गावनो ॥
Ko▫ī rām nām gun gāvno.
And one who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name -
|
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਗਿ ਲਾਵਨੋ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥੪॥੬॥੭॥੧੭॥
जनु नानकु तिसु पगि लावनो ॥२॥१॥७॥४॥६॥७॥१७॥
Jan Nānak ṯis pag lāvno. ||2||1||7||4||6||7||17||
servant Nanak falls at his feet. ||2||1||7||4||6||7||17||

ਨਦਰੀ ਆਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਮੋਹੁ ॥
नदरी आवै तिसु सिउ मोहु ॥
Naḏrī āvai ṯis si▫o moh.
He is attached to what he sees.
|
ਕਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਤੋਹਿ ॥
किउ मिलीऐ प्रभ अबिनासी तोहि ॥
Ki▫o milī▫ai parabẖ abẖināsī ṯohi.
How can I meet You, O Imperishable God?
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥
करि किरपा मोहि मारगि पावहु ॥
Kar kirpā mohi mārag pāvhu.
Have Mercy upon me, and place me upon the Path;
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਚਲਿ ਲਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥
साधसंगति कै अंचलि लावहु ॥१॥
Sāḏẖsangaṯ kai ancẖal lāvhu. ||1||
let me be attached to the hem of the robe of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
|
ਕਿਉ ਤਰੀਐ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
किउ तरीऐ बिखिआ संसारु ॥
Ki▫o ṯarī▫ai bikẖi▫ā sansār.
How can I cross over the poisonous world-ocean?

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सतिगुरु बोहिथु पावै पारि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Saṯgur bohith pāvai pār. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The True Guru is the boat to carry us across. ||1||Pause||
|
ਪਵਨ ਝੁਲਾਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਇ ॥
पवन झुलारे माइआ देइ ॥
Pavan jẖulāre mā▫i▫ā ḏe▫e.
The wind of Maya blows and shakes us,
|
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੇਇ ॥
हरि के भगत सदा थिरु सेइ ॥
Har ke bẖagaṯ saḏā thir se▫e.
but the Lord's devotees remain ever-stable.
|
ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਤੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਨਿਰਾਰਾ ॥
हरख सोग ते रहहि निरारा ॥
Harakẖ sog ṯe rahėh nirārā.
They remain unaffected by pleasure and pain.
|
ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਖਵਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
सिर ऊपरि आपि गुरू रखवारा ॥२॥
Sir ūpar āp gurū rakẖvārā. ||2||
The Guru Himself is the Savior above their heads. ||2||
|
ਪਾਇਆ ਵੇੜੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਰਬ ਭੁਇਅੰਗਾ ॥
पाइआ वेड़ु माइआ सरब भुइअंगा ॥
Pā▫i▫ā veṛ mā▫i▫ā sarab bẖu▫i▫angā.
Maya, the snake, holds all in her coils.
|
ਹਉਮੈ ਪਚੇ ਦੀਪਕ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਤੰਗਾ ॥
हउमै पचे दीपक देखि पतंगा ॥
Ha▫umai pacẖe ḏīpak ḏekẖ paṯangā.
They burn to death in egotism, like the moth lured by seeing the flame.
|
ਸਗਲ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
सगल सीगार करे नही पावै ॥
Sagal sīgār kare nahī pāvai.
They make all sorts of decorations, but they do not find the Lord.
|
ਜਾ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਤਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
जा होइ क्रिपालु ता गुरू मिलावै ॥३॥
Jā ho▫e kirpāl ṯā gurū milāvai. ||3||
When the Guru becomes Merciful, He leads them to meet the Lord. ||3||
|
ਹਉ ਫਿਰਉ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਮੈ ਇਕੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਦਸਾਇਆ ॥
हउ फिरउ उदासी मै इकु रतनु दसाइआ ॥
Ha▫o fira▫o uḏāsī mai ik raṯan ḏasā▫i▫ā.
I wander around, sad and depressed, seeking the jewel of the One Lord.
|
ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੁ ਹੀਰਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਨ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
निरमोलकु हीरा मिलै न उपाइआ ॥
Nirmolak hīrā milai na upā▫i▫ā.
This priceless jewel is not obtained by any efforts.
|
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਲਾਲੁ ॥
हरि का मंदरु तिसु महि लालु ॥
Har kā manḏar ṯis mėh lāl.
That jewel is within the body, the Temple of the Lord.
|
ਗੁਰਿ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਪੜਦਾ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਈ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥੪॥
गुरि खोलिआ पड़दा देखि भई निहालु ॥४॥
Gur kẖoli▫ā paṛ▫ḏā ḏekẖ bẖa▫ī nihāl. ||4||
The Guru has torn away the veil of illusion, and beholding the jewel, I am delighted. ||4||
|
ਜਿਨਿ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਇਆ ਸਾਦੁ ॥
जिनि चाखिआ तिसु आइआ सादु ॥
Jin cẖākẖi▫ā ṯis ā▫i▫ā sāḏ.
One who has tasted it, comes to know its flavor;
|
ਜਿਉ ਗੂੰਗਾ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ॥
जिउ गूंगा मन महि बिसमादु ॥
Ji▫o gūngā man mėh bismāḏ.
he is like the mute, whose mind is filled with wonder.
|
ਆਨਦ ਰੂਪੁ ਸਭੁ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
आनद रूपु सभु नदरी आइआ ॥
Ānaḏ rūp sabẖ naḏrī ā▫i▫ā.
I see the Lord, the source of bliss, everywhere.
|
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਆਖਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੫॥੧॥
जन नानक हरि गुण आखि समाइआ ॥५॥१॥
Jan Nānak har guṇ ākẖ samā▫i▫ā. ||5||1||
Servant Nanak speaks the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and merges in Him. ||5||1||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
बिलावलु महला ५ ॥
Bilāval mėhlā 5.
Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਕੀਏ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
सरब कलिआण कीए गुरदेव ॥
Sarab kali▫āṇ kī▫e gurḏev.
The Divine Guru has blessed me with total happiness.
|
ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਲਾਇਓ ਸੇਵ ॥
सेवकु अपनी लाइओ सेव ॥
Sevak apnī lā▫i▫o sev.
He has linked His servant to His service.
|
ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥
बिघनु न लागै जपि अलख अभेव ॥१॥
Bigẖan na lāgai jap alakẖ abẖev. ||1||
No obstacles block my path, meditating on the incomprehensible, inscrutable Lord. ||1||
|
ਧਰਤਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥
धरति पुनीत भई गुन गाए ॥
Ḏẖaraṯ punīṯ bẖa▫ī gun gā▫e.
The soil has been sanctified, singing the Glories of His Praises.
|
ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
दुरतु गइआ हरि नामु धिआए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḏuraṯ ga▫i▫ā har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The sins are eradicated, meditating on the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਂਈ ਰਵਿਆ ਆਪਿ ॥
सभनी थांई रविआ आपि ॥
Sabẖnī thāʼn▫ī ravi▫ā āp.
He Himself is pervading everywhere;
|
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥
आदि जुगादि जा का वड परतापु ॥
Āḏ jugāḏ jā kā vad parṯāp.
from the very beginning, and throughout the ages, His Glory has been radiantly manifest.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥੨॥
गुर परसादि न होइ संतापु ॥२॥
Gur parsāḏ na ho▫e sanṯāp. ||2||
By Guru's Grace, sorrow does not touch me. ||2||
|
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਮੀਠੇ ॥
गुर के चरन लगे मनि मीठे ॥
Gur ke cẖaran lage man mīṯẖe.
The Guru's Feet seem so sweet to my mind.
|
ਨਿਰਬਿਘਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਥਾਂਈ ਵੂਠੇ ॥
निरबिघन होइ सभ थांई वूठे ॥
Nirbigẖan ho▫e sabẖ thāʼn▫ī vūṯẖe.
He is unobstructed, dwelling everywhere.
|
ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੩॥
सभि सुख पाए सतिगुर तूठे ॥३॥
Sabẖ sukẖ pā▫e saṯgur ṯūṯẖe. ||3||
I found total peace, when the Guru was pleased. ||3||
|
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥
पारब्रहम प्रभ भए रखवाले ॥
Pārbarahm parabẖ bẖa▫e rakẖvāle.
The Supreme Lord God has become my Savior.
|
ਜਿਥੈ ਕਿਥੈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
जिथै किथै दीसहि नाले ॥
Jithai kithai ḏīsėh nāle.
Wherever I look, I see Him there with me.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਖਸਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
नानक दास खसमि प्रतिपाले ॥४॥२॥
Nānak ḏās kẖasam parṯipāle. ||4||2||
O Nanak, the Lord and Master protects and cherishes His slaves. ||4||2||

ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
सुख निधान प्रीतम प्रभ मेरे ॥
Sukẖ niḏẖān parīṯam parabẖ mere.
You are the treasure of peace, O my Beloved God.
