ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ
धनासरी महला ४ ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 4.
Dhanaasaree, Fourth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੂੰਦ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਬਿਲਲ ਬਿਲਲਾਤੀ
हरि हरि बूंद भए हरि सुआमी हम चात्रिक बिलल बिललाती ॥
Har har būnḏ bẖa▫e har su▫āmī ham cẖāṯrik bilal billāṯī.
The Lord, Har, Har, is the rain-drop; I am the song-bird, crying, crying out for it.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਮਖਾਤੀ ॥੧॥
हरि हरि क्रिपा करहु प्रभ अपनी मुखि देवहु हरि निमखाती ॥१॥
Har har kirpā karahu parabẖ apnī mukẖ ḏevhu har nimkẖāṯī. ||1||
O Lord God, please bless me with Your Mercy, and pour Your Name into my mouth, even if for only an instant. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਉ ਇਕ ਰਾਤੀ
हरि बिनु रहि न सकउ इक राती ॥
Har bin rėh na saka▫o ik rāṯī.
Without the Lord, I cannot live for even a second.

ਜਿਉ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਮਲੈ ਅਮਲੀ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਈ ਹੈ ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਮ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਤੀ ਰਹਾਉ
जिउ बिनु अमलै अमली मरि जाई है तिउ हरि बिनु हम मरि जाती ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ji▫o bin amlai amlī mar jā▫ī hai ṯi▫o har bin ham mar jāṯī. Rahā▫o.
Like the addict who dies without his drug, I die without the Lord. ||Pause||

ਤੁਮ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਵਰ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਾਹ ਹਮ ਲਹਿ ਸਕਹਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਮਾਤੀ
तुम हरि सरवर अति अगाह हम लहि न सकहि अंतु माती ॥
Ŧum har sarvar aṯ agāh ham lėh na sakahi anṯ māṯī.
You, Lord, are the deepest, most unfathomable ocean; I cannot find even a trace of Your limits.

ਤੂ ਪਰੈ ਪਰੈ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਿਤਿ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਆਪਨ ਗਾਤੀ ॥੨॥
तू परै परै अपर्मपरु सुआमी मिति जानहु आपन गाती ॥२॥
Ŧū parai parai aprampar su▫āmī miṯ jānhu āpan gāṯī. ||2||
You are the most remote of the remote, limitless and transcendent; O Lord Master, You alone know Your state and extent. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਰਾਤੀ
हरि के संत जना हरि जपिओ गुर रंगि चलूलै राती ॥
Har ke sanṯ janā har japi▫o gur rang cẖalūlai rāṯī.
The Lord's humble Saints meditate on the Lord; they are imbued with the deep crimson color of the Guru's Love.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਨੀ ਅਤਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਊਤਮ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੩॥
हरि हरि भगति बनी अति सोभा हरि जपिओ ऊतम पाती ॥३॥
Har har bẖagaṯ banī aṯ sobẖā har japi▫o ūṯam pāṯī. ||3||
Meditating on the Lord, they attain great glory, and the most sublime honor. ||3||

ਆਪੇ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਆਪਿ ਬਨਾਵੈ ਭਾਤੀ
आपे ठाकुरु आपे सेवकु आपि बनावै भाती ॥
Āpe ṯẖākur āpe sevak āp banāvai bẖāṯī.
He Himself is the Lord and Master, and He Himself is the servant; He Himself creates His environments.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਲਾਜ ਭਗਾਤੀ ॥੪॥੫॥
नानकु जनु तुमरी सरणाई हरि राखहु लाज भगाती ॥४॥५॥
Nānak jan ṯumrī sarṇā▫ī har rākẖo lāj bẖagāṯī. ||4||5||
Servant Nanak has come to Your Sanctuary, O Lord; protect and preserve the honor of Your devotee. ||4||5||

ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਕਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਕਹਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਭਾਈ ਕਿਵ ਛੂਟਹ ਹਮ ਛੁਟਕਾਕੀ
कलिजुग का धरमु कहहु तुम भाई किव छूटह हम छुटकाकी ॥
Kalijug kā ḏẖaram kahhu ṯum bẖā▫ī kiv cẖẖūtah ham cẖẖutkākī.
Tell me, O Siblings of Destiny, the religion for this Dark Age of Kali Yuga. I seek emancipation - how can I be emancipated?

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਬੇੜੀ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਲਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਤਰੈ ਤਰਾਕੀ ॥੧॥
हरि हरि जपु बेड़ी हरि तुलहा हरि जपिओ तरै तराकी ॥१॥
Har har jap beṛī har ṯulhā har japi▫o ṯarai ṯarākī. ||1||
Meditation on the Lord, Har, Har, is the boat, the raft; meditating on the Lord, the swimmer swims across. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਖਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ
हरि जी लाज रखहु हरि जन की ॥
Har jī lāj rakẖahu har jan kī.
O Dear Lord, protect and preserve the honor of Your humble servant.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨੁ ਜਪਾਵਹੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਹਮ ਮਾਗੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਇਕਾਕੀ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि हरि जपनु जपावहु अपना हम मागी भगति इकाकी ॥ रहाउ ॥
Har har japan japāvhu apnā ham māgī bẖagaṯ ikākī. Rahā▫o.
O Lord, Har, Har, please make me chant the chant of Your Name; I beg only for Your devotional worship. ||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਨ ਜਪਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਬਚਨਾਕੀ
हरि के सेवक से हरि पिआरे जिन जपिओ हरि बचनाकी ॥
Har ke sevak se har pi▫āre jin japi▫o har bacẖnākī.
The Lord's servants are very dear to the Lord; they chant the Word of the Lord's Bani.

ਲੇਖਾ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਪਤਿ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸਭ ਛੂਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਬਾਕੀ ॥੨॥
लेखा चित्र गुपति जो लिखिआ सभ छूटी जम की बाकी ॥२॥
Lekẖā cẖiṯar gupaṯ jo likẖi▫ā sabẖ cẖẖūtī jam kī bākī. ||2||
The account of the recording angels, Chitr and Gupt, and the account with the Messenger of Death is totally erased. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਪਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਗਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ
हरि के संत जपिओ मनि हरि हरि लगि संगति साध जना की ॥
Har ke sanṯ japi▫o man har har lag sangaṯ sāḏẖ janā kī.
The Saints of the Lord meditate on the Lord in their minds; they join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਦਿਨੀਅਰੁ ਸੂਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਬੁਝਾਨੀ ਸਿਵ ਚਰਿਓ ਚੰਦੁ ਚੰਦਾਕੀ ॥੩॥
दिनीअरु सूरु त्रिसना अगनि बुझानी सिव चरिओ चंदु चंदाकी ॥३॥
Ḏinī▫ar sūr ṯarisnā agan bujẖānī siv cẖari▫o cẖanḏ cẖanḏākī. ||3||
The piercing sun of desires has set, and the cool moon has risen. ||3||

ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਡ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਤੁਮ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਅਪਾਕੀ
तुम वड पुरख वड अगम अगोचर तुम आपे आपि अपाकी ॥
Ŧum vad purakẖ vad agam agocẖar ṯum āpe āp apākī.
You are the Greatest Being, absolutely unapproachable and unfathomable; You created the Universe from Your Own Being.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ਕਰਿ ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸ ਦਸਾਕੀ ॥੪॥੬॥
जन नानक कउ प्रभ किरपा कीजै करि दासनि दास दसाकी ॥४॥६॥
Jan Nānak ka▫o parabẖ kirpā kījai kar ḏāsan ḏās ḏasākī. ||4||6||
O God, take pity on servant Nanak, and make him the slave of the slave of Your slaves. ||4||6||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ਘਰੁ ਦੁਪਦੇ
धनासरी महला ४ घरु ५ दुपदे
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 4 gẖar 5 ḏupḏe
Dhanaasaree, Fourth Mehl, Fifth House, Du-Padas:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਰਮੋ ਰਮੁ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਨੇ
उर धारि बीचारि मुरारि रमो रमु मनमोहन नामु जपीने ॥
Ur ḏẖār bīcẖār murār ramo ram manmohan nām japīne.
Enshrine the Lord within your heart, and contemplate Him. Dwell upon Him, reflect upon Him, and chant the Name of the Lord, the Enticer of hearts.

ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨੇ ॥੧॥
अद्रिसटु अगोचरु अपर्मपर सुआमी गुरि पूरै प्रगट करि दीने ॥१॥
Aḏrist agocẖar aprampar su▫āmī gur pūrai pargat kar ḏīne. ||1||
The Lord Master is unseen, unfathomable and unreachable; through the Perfect Guru, He is revealed. ||1||

ਰਾਮ ਪਾਰਸ ਚੰਦਨ ਹਮ ਕਾਸਟ ਲੋਸਟ
राम पारस चंदन हम कासट लोसट ॥
Rām pāras cẖanḏan ham kāsat losat.
The Lord is the philosopher's stone, which transforms lead into gold, and sandalwood, while I am just dry wood and iron.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰੀ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਕੀਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
हरि संगि हरी सतसंगु भए हरि कंचनु चंदनु कीने ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har sang harī saṯsang bẖa▫e har kancẖan cẖanḏan kīne. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Associating with the Lord, and the Sat Sangat, the Lord's True Congregation, the Lord has transformed me into gold and sandalwood. ||1||Pause||

ਨਵ ਛਿਅ ਖਟੁ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਮੁਖ ਆਗਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਇਵ ਪਤੀਨੇ
नव छिअ खटु बोलहि मुख आगर मेरा हरि प्रभु इव न पतीने ॥
Nav cẖẖi▫a kẖat bolėh mukẖ āgar merā har parabẖ iv na paṯīne.
One may repeat, verbatim, the nine grammars and the six Shaastras, but my Lord God is not pleased by this.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਦ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਇਉ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਭੀਨੇ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥
जन नानक हरि हिरदै सद धिआवहु इउ हरि प्रभु मेरा भीने ॥२॥१॥७॥
Jan Nānak har hirḏai saḏ ḏẖi▫āvahu i▫o har parabẖ merā bẖīne. ||2||1||7||
O servant Nanak, meditate forever on the Lord in your heart; this is what pleases my Lord God. ||2||1||7||
