ਪੰਡਿਤ ਮੁਲਾਂ ਛਾਡੇ ਦੋਊ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
पंडित मुलां छाडे दोऊ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pandiṯ mulāʼn cẖẖāde ḏo▫ū. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I have abandoned both the Pandits, the Hindu religious scholars, and the Mullahs, the Muslim priests. ||1||Pause||

ਬੁਨਿ ਬੁਨਿ ਆਪ ਆਪੁ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਉ
बुनि बुनि आप आपु पहिरावउ ॥
Bun bun āp āp pahirāva▫o.
I weave and weave, and wear what I weave.

ਜਹ ਨਹੀ ਆਪੁ ਤਹਾ ਹੋਇ ਗਾਵਉ ॥੨॥
जह नही आपु तहा होइ गावउ ॥२॥
Jah nahī āp ṯahā ho▫e gāva▫o. ||2||
Where egotism does not exist, there I sing God's Praises. ||2||

ਪੰਡਿਤ ਮੁਲਾਂ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿ ਦੀਆ
पंडित मुलां जो लिखि दीआ ॥
Pandiṯ mulāʼn jo likẖ ḏī▫ā.
Whatever the Pandits and Mullahs have written,

ਛਾਡਿ ਚਲੇ ਹਮ ਕਛੂ ਲੀਆ ॥੩॥
छाडि चले हम कछू न लीआ ॥३॥
Cẖẖād cẖale ham kacẖẖū na lī▫ā. ||3||
I reject; I do not accept any of it. ||3||

ਰਿਦੈ ਇਖਲਾਸੁ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਲੇ ਮੀਰਾ
रिदै इखलासु निरखि ले मीरा ॥
Riḏai ikẖlās nirakẖ le mīrā.
My heart is pure, and so I have seen the Lord within.

ਆਪੁ ਖੋਜਿ ਖੋਜਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥੪॥੭॥
आपु खोजि खोजि मिले कबीरा ॥४॥७॥
Āp kẖoj kẖoj mile kabīrā. ||4||7||
Searching, searching within the self, Kabeer has met the Lord. ||4||7||

ਨਿਰਧਨ ਆਦਰੁ ਕੋਈ ਦੇਇ
निरधन आदरु कोई न देइ ॥
Nirḏẖan āḏar ko▫ī na ḏe▫e.
No one respects the poor man.

ਲਾਖ ਜਤਨ ਕਰੈ ਓਹੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਧਰੇਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
लाख जतन करै ओहु चिति न धरेइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Lākẖ jaṯan karai oh cẖiṯ na ḏẖare▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He may make thousands of efforts, but no one pays any attention to him. ||1||Pause||

ਜਉ ਨਿਰਧਨੁ ਸਰਧਨ ਕੈ ਜਾਇ
जउ निरधनु सरधन कै जाइ ॥
Ja▫o nirḏẖan sarḏẖan kai jā▫e.
When the poor man goes to the rich man,

ਆਗੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਪੀਠਿ ਫਿਰਾਇ ॥੧॥
आगे बैठा पीठि फिराइ ॥१॥
Āge baiṯẖā pīṯẖ firā▫e. ||1||
and sits right in front of him, the rich man turns his back on him. ||1||

ਜਉ ਸਰਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਕੈ ਜਾਇ
जउ सरधनु निरधन कै जाइ ॥
Ja▫o sarḏẖan nirḏẖan kai jā▫e.
But when the rich man goes to the poor man,

ਦੀਆ ਆਦਰੁ ਲੀਆ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
दीआ आदरु लीआ बुलाइ ॥२॥
Ḏī▫ā āḏar lī▫ā bulā▫e. ||2||
the poor man welcomes him with respect. ||2||

ਨਿਰਧਨੁ ਸਰਧਨੁ ਦੋਨਉ ਭਾਈ
निरधनु सरधनु दोनउ भाई ॥
Nirḏẖan sarḏẖan don▫o bẖā▫ī.
The poor man and the rich man are both brothers.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਕਲਾ ਮੇਟੀ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
प्रभ की कला न मेटी जाई ॥३॥
Parabẖ kī kalā na metī jā▫ī. ||3||
God's pre-ordained plan cannot be erased. ||3||

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਿਰਧਨੁ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ
कहि कबीर निरधनु है सोई ॥
Kahi Kabīr nirḏẖan hai so▫ī.
Says Kabeer, he alone is poor,

ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੪॥੮॥
जा के हिरदै नामु न होई ॥४॥८॥
Jā ke hirḏai nām na ho▫ī. ||4||8||
who does not have the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in his heart. ||4||8||

ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਮਾਈ
गुर सेवा ते भगति कमाई ॥
Gur sevā ṯe bẖagaṯ kamā▫ī.
Serving the Guru, devotional worship is practiced.

ਤਬ ਇਹ ਮਾਨਸ ਦੇਹੀ ਪਾਈ
तब इह मानस देही पाई ॥
Ŧab ih mānas ḏehī pā▫ī.
Then, this human body is obtained.

ਇਸ ਦੇਹੀ ਕਉ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਦੇਵ
इस देही कउ सिमरहि देव ॥
Is ḏehī ka▫o simrahi ḏev.
Even the gods long for this human body.

ਸੋ ਦੇਹੀ ਭਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥
सो देही भजु हरि की सेव ॥१॥
So ḏehī bẖaj har kī sev. ||1||
So vibrate that human body, and think of serving the Lord. ||1||

ਭਜਹੁ ਗੋੁਬਿੰਦ ਭੂਲਿ ਮਤ ਜਾਹੁ
भजहु गोबिंद भूलि मत जाहु ॥
Bẖajahu gobinḏ bẖūl maṯ jāhu.
Vibrate, and meditate on the Lord of the Universe, and never forget Him.

ਮਾਨਸ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਏਹੀ ਲਾਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
मानस जनम का एही लाहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Mānas janam kā ehī lāhu. ||1|| rahā▫o.
This is the blessed opportunity of this human incarnation. ||1||Pause||

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਜਰਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਨਹੀ ਆਇਆ
जब लगु जरा रोगु नही आइआ ॥
Jab lag jarā rog nahī ā▫i▫ā.
As long as the disease of old age has not come to the body,

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਕਾਲਿ ਗ੍ਰਸੀ ਨਹੀ ਕਾਇਆ
जब लगु कालि ग्रसी नही काइआ ॥
Jab lag kāl garsī nahī kā▫i▫ā.
and as long as death has not come and seized the body,

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਬਿਕਲ ਭਈ ਨਹੀ ਬਾਨੀ
जब लगु बिकल भई नही बानी ॥
Jab lag bikal bẖa▫ī nahī bānī.
and as long as your voice has not lost its power,

ਭਜਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
भजि लेहि रे मन सारिगपानी ॥२॥
Bẖaj lehi re man sārigpānī. ||2||
O mortal being, vibrate and meditate on the Lord of the World. ||2||

ਅਬ ਭਜਸਿ ਭਜਸਿ ਕਬ ਭਾਈ
अब न भजसि भजसि कब भाई ॥
Ab na bẖajas bẖajas kab bẖā▫ī.
If you do not vibrate and meditate on Him now, when will you, O Sibling of Destiny?

ਆਵੈ ਅੰਤੁ ਭਜਿਆ ਜਾਈ
आवै अंतु न भजिआ जाई ॥
Āvai anṯ na bẖaji▫ā jā▫ī.
When the end comes, you will not be able to vibrate and meditate on Him.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਅਬ ਸਾਰੁ
जो किछु करहि सोई अब सारु ॥
Jo kicẖẖ karahi so▫ī ab sār.
Whatever you have to do - now is the best time to do it.

ਫਿਰਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਹੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
फिरि पछुताहु न पावहु पारु ॥३॥
Fir pathuṯāhu na pāvhu pār. ||3||
Otherwise, you shall regret and repent afterwards, and you shall not be carried across to the other side. ||3||

ਸੋ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜੋ ਲਾਇਆ ਸੇਵ
सो सेवकु जो लाइआ सेव ॥
So sevak jo lā▫i▫ā sev.
He alone is a servant, whom the Lord enjoins to His service.

ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਪਾਏ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੇਵ
तिन ही पाए निरंजन देव ॥
Ŧin hī pā▫e niranjan ḏev.
He alone attains the Immaculate Divine Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਕਪਾਟ
गुर मिलि ता के खुल्हे कपाट ॥
Gur mil ṯā ke kẖulĥe kapāt.
Meeting with the Guru, his doors are opened wide,

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਜੋਨੀ ਬਾਟ ॥੪॥
बहुरि न आवै जोनी बाट ॥४॥
Bahur na āvai jonī bāt. ||4||
and he does not have to journey again on the path of reincarnation. ||4||

ਇਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਉਸਰੁ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਰ
इही तेरा अउसरु इह तेरी बार ॥
Ihī ṯerā a▫osar ih ṯerī bār.
This is your chance, and this is your time.

ਘਟ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਤੂ ਦੇਖੁ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ
घट भीतरि तू देखु बिचारि ॥
Gẖat bẖīṯar ṯū ḏekẖ bicẖār.
Look deep into your own heart, and reflect on this.

ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਕੈ ਹਾਰਿ
कहत कबीरु जीति कै हारि ॥
Kahaṯ Kabīr jīṯ kai hār.
Says Kabeer, you can win or lose.

ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਹਿਓ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ॥੫॥੧॥੯॥
बहु बिधि कहिओ पुकारि पुकारि ॥५॥१॥९॥
Baho biḏẖ kahi▫o pukār pukār. ||5||1||9||
In so many ways, I have proclaimed this out loud. ||5||1||9||

ਸਿਵ ਕੀ ਪੁਰੀ ਬਸੈ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਾਰੁ
सिव की पुरी बसै बुधि सारु ॥
Siv kī purī basai buḏẖ sār.
In the City of God, sublime understanding prevails.

ਤਹ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਕਰਹੁ ਬਿਚਾਰੁ
तह तुम्ह मिलि कै करहु बिचारु ॥
Ŧah ṯumĥ mil kai karahu bicẖār.
There, you shall meet with the Lord, and reflect on Him.

ਈਤ ਊਤ ਕੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਰੈ
ईत ऊत की सोझी परै ॥
Īṯ ūṯ kī sojẖī parai.
Thus, you shall understand this world and the next.

ਕਉਨੁ ਕਰਮ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਰੈ ॥੧॥
कउनु करम मेरा करि करि मरै ॥१॥
Ka▫un karam merā kar kar marai. ||1||
What is the use of claiming that you own everything, if you only die in the end? ||1||

ਨਿਜ ਪਦ ਊਪਰਿ ਲਾਗੋ ਧਿਆਨੁ
निज पद ऊपरि लागो धिआनु ॥
Nij paḏ ūpar lāgo ḏẖi▫ān.
I focus my meditation on my inner self, deep within.

ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੋਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
राजा राम नामु मोरा ब्रहम गिआनु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Rājā rām nām morā barahm gi▫ān. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Name of the Sovereign Lord is my spiritual wisdom. ||1||Pause||

ਮੂਲ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਬੰਧਿਆ ਬੰਧੁ
मूल दुआरै बंधिआ बंधु ॥
Mūl ḏu▫ārai banḏẖi▫ā banḏẖ.
In the first chakra, the root chakra, I have grasped the reins and tied them.

ਰਵਿ ਊਪਰਿ ਗਹਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਚੰਦੁ
रवि ऊपरि गहि राखिआ चंदु ॥
Rav ūpar gėh rākẖi▫ā cẖanḏ.
I have firmly placed the moon above the sun.

ਪਛਮ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਤਪੈ
पछम दुआरै सूरजु तपै ॥
Pacẖẖam ḏu▫ārai sūraj ṯapai.
The sun blazes forth at the western gate.

ਮੇਰ ਡੰਡ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਬਸੈ ॥੨॥
मेर डंड सिर ऊपरि बसै ॥२॥
Mer dand sir ūpar basai. ||2||
Through the central channel of the Shushmanaa, it rises up above my head. ||2||

ਪਸਚਮ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਿਲ ਓੜ
पसचम दुआरे की सिल ओड़ ॥
Pascẖam ḏu▫āre kī sil oṛ.
There is a stone at that western gate,

ਤਿਹ ਸਿਲ ਊਪਰਿ ਖਿੜਕੀ ਅਉਰ
तिह सिल ऊपरि खिड़की अउर ॥
Ŧih sil ūpar kẖiṛkī a▫or.
and above that stone, is another window.

ਖਿੜਕੀ ਊਪਰਿ ਦਸਵਾ ਦੁਆਰੁ
खिड़की ऊपरि दसवा दुआरु ॥
Kẖiṛkī ūpar ḏasvā ḏu▫ār.
Above that window is the Tenth Gate.

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੩॥੨॥੧੦॥
कहि कबीर ता का अंतु न पारु ॥३॥२॥१०॥
Kahi Kabīr ṯā kā anṯ na pār. ||3||2||10||
Says Kabeer, it has no end or limitation. ||3||2||10||

ਸੋ ਮੁਲਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਲਰੈ
सो मुलां जो मन सिउ लरै ॥
So mulāʼn jo man si▫o larai.
He alone is a Mullah, who struggles with his mind,

ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਕਾਲ ਸਿਉ ਜੁਰੈ
गुर उपदेसि काल सिउ जुरै ॥
Gur upḏes kāl si▫o jurai.
and through the Guru's Teachings, fights with death.

ਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਾ ਮਰਦੈ ਮਾਨੁ
काल पुरख का मरदै मानु ॥
Kāl purakẖ kā marḏai mān.
He crushes the pride of the Messenger of Death.

ਤਿਸੁ ਮੁਲਾ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਮੁ ॥੧॥
तिसु मुला कउ सदा सलामु ॥१॥
Ŧis mulā ka▫o saḏā salām. ||1||
Unto that Mullah, I ever offer greetings of respect. ||1||
