ਨਿਹਚਲ ਆਸਨੁ ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
Nihcẖal āsan besumār. ||2||
They obtain a permanent seat in the infinite. ||2||
|
ਡਿਗਿ ਨ ਡੋਲੈ ਕਤਹੂ ਨ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
Dig na dolai kaṯhū na ḏẖāvai.
No one falls there, or wavers, or goes anywhere.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕੋ ਇਹੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
Gur parsāḏ ko ih mahal pāvai.
By Guru's Grace, some find this mansion.
|
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਮੋਹ ਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲ ॥
Bẖaram bẖai moh na mā▫i▫ā jāl.
They are not touched by doubt, fear, attachment or the traps of Maya.
|
ਸੁੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥੩॥
Sunn samāḏẖ parabẖū kirpāl. ||3||
They enter the deepest state of Samaadhi, through the kind mercy of God. ||3||
|
ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥
Ŧā kā anṯ na pārāvār.
He has no end or limitation.
|
ਆਪੇ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਸਾਰੁ ॥
Āpe gupaṯ āpe pāsār.
He Himself is unmanifest, and He Himself is manifest.
|
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਦੁ ॥
Jā kai anṯar har har su▫āḏ.
One who enjoys the taste of the Lord, Har, Har, deep within himself,
|
ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ॥੪॥੯॥੨੦॥
Kahan na jā▫ī Nānak bismāḏ. ||4||9||20||
O Nanak, his wondrous state cannot be described. ||4||9||20||

ਭੇਟਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
Bẖetaṯ sang pārbarahm cẖiṯ ā▫i▫ā.
Meeting with the Sangat, the Congregation, the Supreme Lord God has come into my consciousness.

ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਤ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਮਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Sangaṯ karaṯ sanṯokẖ man pā▫i▫ā.
In the Sangat, my mind has found contentment.
|
ਸੰਤਹ ਚਰਨ ਮਾਥਾ ਮੇਰੋ ਪਉਤ ॥
Sanṯėh cẖaran māthā mero pa▫uṯ.
I touch my forehead to the feet of the Saints.
|
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਸੰਤਹ ਡੰਡਉਤ ॥੧॥
Anik bār sanṯėh dand▫uṯ. ||1||
Countless times, I humbly bow to the Saints. ||1||
|
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
Ih man sanṯan kai balihārī.
This mind is a sacrifice to the Saints;
|
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਖੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jā kī ot gahī sukẖ pā▫i▫ā rākẖe kirpā ḏẖārī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
holding tight to their support, I have found peace, and in their mercy, they have protected me. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸੰਤਹ ਚਰਣ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੀਵਾ ॥
Sanṯėh cẖaraṇ ḏẖo▫e ḏẖo▫e pīvā.
I wash the feet of the Saints, and drink in that water.
|
ਸੰਤਹ ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ॥
Sanṯėh ḏaras pekẖ pekẖ jīvā.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Saints' Darshan, I live.
|
ਸੰਤਹ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਸ ॥
Sanṯėh kī merai man ās.
My mind rests its hopes in the Saints.
|
ਸੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੨॥
Sanṯ hamārī nirmal rās. ||2||
The Saints are my immaculate wealth. ||2||
|
ਸੰਤ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਪੜਦਾ ॥
Sanṯ hamārā rākẖi▫ā paṛ▫ḏā.
The Saints have covered my faults.
|
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਕੜਦਾ ॥
Sanṯ parsāḏ mohi kabhū na kaṛ▫ḏā.
By the Grace of the Saints, I am no longer tormented.
|
ਸੰਤਹ ਸੰਗੁ ਦੀਆ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥
Sanṯėh sang ḏī▫ā kirpāl.
The Merciful Lord has blessed me with the Saints' Congregation.
|
ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੩॥
Sanṯ sahā▫ī bẖa▫e ḏa▫i▫āl. ||3||
The Compassionate Saints have become my help and support. ||3||
|
ਸੁਰਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
Suraṯ maṯ buḏẖ pargās.
My consciousness, intellect and wisdom have been enlightened.
|
ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥
Gahir gambẖīr apār guṇṯās.
The Lord is profound, unfathomable, infinite, the treasure of virtue.
|
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਗਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥
Jī▫a janṯ sagle parṯipāl.
He cherishes all beings and creatures.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤਹ ਦੇਖਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੨੧॥
Nānak sanṯėh ḏekẖ nihāl. ||4||10||21||
Nanak is enraptured, seeing the Saints. ||4||10||21||

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Rāmkalī mėhlā 5.
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਤੇਰੈ ਕਾਜਿ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਰਾਜੁ ਮਾਲੁ ॥
Ŧerai kāj na garihu rāj māl.
Your home, power and wealth will be of no use to you.
|
ਤੇਰੈ ਕਾਜਿ ਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਜੰਜਾਲੁ ॥
Ŧerai kāj na bikẖai janjāl.
Your corrupt worldly entanglements will be of no use to you.
|
ਇਸਟ ਮੀਤ ਜਾਣੁ ਸਭ ਛਲੈ ॥
Isat mīṯ jāṇ sabẖ cẖẖalai.
Know that all your dear friends are fake.
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਚਲੈ ॥੧॥
Har har nām sang ṯerai cẖalai. ||1||
Only the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, will go along with you. ||1||
|
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਲੇ ਮੀਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਹੈ ॥
Rām nām guṇ gā▫e le mīṯā har simraṯ ṯerī lāj rahai.
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name, O friend; remembering the Lord in meditation, your honor shall be saved.

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਜਮੁ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਕਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har simraṯ jam kacẖẖ na kahai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Remembering the Lord in meditation, the Messenger of Death will not touch you. ||1||Pause||
|
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਰਾਰਥ ਕਾਮ ॥
Bin har sagal nirārath kām.
Without the Lord, all pursuits are useless.
|
ਸੁਇਨਾ ਰੁਪਾ ਮਾਟੀ ਦਾਮ ॥
Su▫inā rupā mātī ḏām.
Gold, silver and wealth are just dust.
|
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਜਾਪਿ ਮਨ ਸੁਖਾ ॥
Gur kā sabaḏ jāp man sukẖā.
Chanting the Word of the Guru's Shabad, your mind shall be at peace.
|
ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਤੇਰੋ ਊਜਲ ਮੁਖਾ ॥੨॥
Īhā ūhā ṯero ūjal mukẖā. ||2||
Here and hereafter, your face shall be radiant and bright. ||2||
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਥਾਕੇ ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇਰੇ ॥
Kar kar thāke vade vadere.
Even the greatest of the great worked and worked until they were exhausted.
|
ਕਿਨ ਹੀ ਨ ਕੀਏ ਕਾਜ ਮਾਇਆ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
Kin hī na kī▫e kāj mā▫i▫ā pūre.
None of them ever accomplished the tasks of Maya.
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
Har har nām japai jan ko▫e.
Any humble being who chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har,
|
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
Ŧā kī āsā pūran ho▫e. ||3||
will have all his hopes fulfilled. ||3||
|
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
Har bẖagṯan ko nām aḏẖār.
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the anchor and support of the Lord's devotees.
|
ਸੰਤੀ ਜੀਤਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
Sanṯī jīṯā janam apār.
The Saints are victorious in this priceless human life.
|
ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
Har sanṯ kare so▫ī parvāṇ.
Whatever the Lord's Saint does, is approved and accepted.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੨੨॥
Nānak ḏās ṯā kai kurbāṇ. ||4||11||22||
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to him. ||4||11||22||

ਸਿੰਚਹਿ ਦਰਬੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਲੋਗ ॥
Sincẖėh ḏarab ḏėh ḏukẖ log.
You gather wealth by exploiting people.
|
ਤੇਰੈ ਕਾਜਿ ਨ ਅਵਰਾ ਜੋਗ ॥
Ŧerai kāj na avrā jog.
It is of no use to you; it was meant for others.
|
ਕਰਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਅੰਧ ॥
Kar ahaʼnkār ho▫e varṯėh anḏẖ.
You practice egotism, and act like a blind man.
|
ਜਮ ਕੀ ਜੇਵੜੀ ਤੂ ਆਗੈ ਬੰਧ ॥੧॥
Jam kī jevṛī ṯū āgai banḏẖ. ||1||
In the world hereafter, you shall be tied to the leash of the Messenger of Death. ||1||
|
ਛਾਡਿ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਤਾਤਿ ਮੂੜੇ ॥
Cẖẖād vidāṇī ṯāṯ mūṛe.
Give up your envy of others, you fool!
|
ਈਹਾ ਬਸਨਾ ਰਾਤਿ ਮੂੜੇ ॥
Īhā basnā rāṯ mūṛe.
You only live here for a night, you fool!
|
ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਮਾਤੇ ਤੈ ਉਠਿ ਚਲਨਾ ॥
Mā▫i▫ā ke māṯe ṯai uṯẖ cẖalnā.
You are intoxicated with Maya, but you must soon arise and depart.
|
ਰਾਚਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਤੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Rācẖ rahi▫o ṯū sang supnā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You are totally involved in the dream. ||1||Pause||
|
ਬਾਲ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਅੰਧ ॥
Bāl bivasthā bārik anḏẖ.
In his childhood, the child is blind.
|
ਭਰਿ ਜੋਬਨਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਦੁਰਗੰਧ ॥
Bẖar joban lāgā ḏurganḏẖ.
In the fullness of youth, he is involved in foul-smelling sins.
