ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸੋਵਤ ਬੈਸਤ ਖਲਿਆ ॥
So parabẖ apunā saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai sovaṯ baisaṯ kẖali▫ā.
Meditate forever on your God, when you sleep and sit and stand.

ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸੋਈ ॥
Guṇ niḏẖān sukẖ sāgar su▫āmī jal thal mahī▫al so▫ī.
The Lord and Master is the treasure of virtue, the ocean of peace; He pervades the water, the land and the sky.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੩॥
Jan Nānak parabẖ kī sarṇā▫ī ṯis bin avar na ko▫ī. ||3||
Servant Nanak has entered God's Sanctuary; there is no other than Him. ||3||

ਮੇਰਾ ਘਰੁ ਬਨਿਆ ਬਨੁ ਤਾਲੁ ਬਨਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਰਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
Merā gẖar bani▫ā ban ṯāl bani▫ā parabẖ parse har rā▫i▫ā rām.
My home is made, the garden and pool are made, and my Sovereign Lord God has met me.

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸੋਹਿਆ ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸਰਸੇ ਗੁਣ ਮੰਗਲ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
Merā man sohi▫ā mīṯ sājan sarse guṇ mangal har gā▫i▫ā rām.
My mind is adorned, and my friends rejoice; I sing the songs of joy, and the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਗਲ ਇਛਾ ਪਾਈਆ ॥
Guṇ gā▫e parabẖū ḏẖi▫ā▫e sācẖā sagal icẖẖā pā▫ī▫ā.
Singing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord God, all desires are fulfilled.

ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਲਾਗੇ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਵਜੀਆ ਵਾਧਾਈਆ ॥
Gur cẖaraṇ lāge saḏā jāge man vajī▫ā vāḏẖā▫ī▫ā.
Those who are attached to the Guru's Feet are always awake and aware; His Praises resound and resonate through their minds.

ਕਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਖਹ ਗਾਮੀ ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥
Karī naḏar su▫āmī sukẖah gāmī halaṯ palaṯ savāri▫ā.
My Lord and Master, the bringer of peace, has blessed me with His Grace; He has arranged this world, and the world hereafter for me.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੪॥੭॥
Binvanṯ Nānak niṯ nām japī▫ai jī▫o pind jin ḏẖāri▫ā. ||4||4||7||
Prays Nanak, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord forever; He is the Support of the body and soul. ||4||4||7||

ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੋ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Bẖai sāgro bẖai sāgar ṯari▫ā har har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e rām.
The terrifying world-ocean, the terrifying world-ocean - I have crossed over it, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਬੋਹਿਥੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਅਰਾਧੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਰਿ ਲਘਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Bohithṛā har cẖaraṇ arāḏẖe mil saṯgur pār lagẖā▫e rām.
I worship and adore the Lord's Feet, the boat to carry me across. Meeting the True Guru, I am carried over.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਤਰੀਐ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਮਰੀਐ ਚੂਕੈ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥
Gur sabḏī ṯarī▫ai bahuṛ na marī▫ai cẖūkai āvaṇ jāṇā.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I cross over, and I shall not die again; my comings and goings are ended.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਉ ਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥
Jo kicẖẖ karai so▫ī bẖal mān▫o ṯā man sahj samāṇā.
Whatever He does, I accept as good, and my mind merges in celestial peace.

ਦੂਖ ਨ ਭੂਖ ਨ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਏ ॥
Ḏūkẖ na bẖūkẖ na rog na bi▫āpai sukẖ sāgar sarṇī pā▫e.
Neither pain, nor hunger, nor disease afflicts me. I have found the Sanctuary of the Lord, the ocean of peace.

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਮਿਟਾਏ ॥੧॥
Har simar simar Nānak rang rāṯā man kī cẖinṯ mitā▫e. ||1||
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord, Nanak is imbued with His Love; his mind's anxieties are dispelled. ||1||

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
Sanṯ janā har manṯar driṛ▫ā▫i▫ā har sājan vasgaṯ kīne rām.
The humble Saints have implanted the Lord's Mantra within me, and the Lord, my Best Friend, has come under my power.

ਆਪਨੜਾ ਮਨੁ ਆਗੈ ਧਰਿਆ ਸਰਬਸੁ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
Āpnaṛā man āgai ḏẖari▫ā sarbas ṯẖākur ḏīne rām.
I have dedicated my mind to my Lord and Master, and offered it to Him, and He has blessed me with everything.

ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਥਿਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
Kar apunī ḏāsī mitī uḏāsī har manḏar thiṯ pā▫ī.
He has made me His hand-maiden and slave; my sadness is dispelled, and in the Lord's Temple, I have found stability.

ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
Anaḏ binoḏ simrahu parabẖ sācẖā vicẖẖuṛ kabhū na jā▫ī.
My joy and bliss are in meditating on my True God; I shall never be separated from Him again.

ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ॥
Sā vadbẖāgaṇ saḏā sohagaṇ rām nām guṇ cẖīnĥe.
She alone is very fortunate, and a true soul-bride, who contemplates the Glorious Vision of the Lord's Name.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਵਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਹਾ ਰਸਿ ਭੀਨੇ ॥੨॥
Kaho Nānak ravėh rang rāṯe parem mahā ras bẖīne. ||2||
Says Nanak, I am imbued with His Love, drenched in the supreme, sublime essence of His Love. ||2||

ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਭਏ ਨਿਤ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੰਗਲ ਸਦਾ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
Anaḏ binoḏ bẖa▫e niṯ sakẖī▫e mangal saḏā hamārai rām.
I am in continual bliss and ecstasy, O my companions; I sing the songs of joy forever.
|
ਆਪਨੜੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
Āpnaṛai parabẖ āp sīgārī sobẖāvanṯī nāre rām.
God Himself has embellished her, and she has become His virtuous soul-bride.

ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
Sahj subẖā▫e bẖa▫e kirpālā guṇ avgaṇ na bīcẖāri▫ā.
With natural ease, He has become Merciful to her. He does not consider her merits or demerits.

ਕੰਠਿ ਲਗਾਇ ਲੀਏ ਜਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥
Kanṯẖ lagā▫e lī▫e jan apune rām nām ur ḏẖāri▫ā.
He hugs His humble servants close in His Loving Embrace; they enshrine the Lord's Name in their hearts.

ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹ ਮਦ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਆਪੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
Mān moh maḏ sagal bi▫āpī kar kirpā āp nivāre.
Everyone is engrossed in arrogant pride, attachment and intoxication; in His Mercy, He has freed me of them.
|
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਜ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
Kaho Nānak bẖai sāgar ṯari▫ā pūran kāj hamāre. ||3||
Says Nanak, I have crossed over the terrifying world-ocean, and all my affairs are perfectly resolved. ||3||
|
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਸਖੀਹੋ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Guṇ gopāl gāvhu niṯ sakẖīho sagal manorath pā▫e rām.
Continually sing the Glorious Praises of the World-Lord, O my companions; all your wishes shall be granted.

ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Safal janam ho▫ā mil sāḏẖū ekankār ḏẖi▫ā▫e rām.
Life becomes fruitful, meeting with the Holy Saints, and meditating on the One God, the Creator of the Universe.

ਜਪਿ ਏਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਨੇਕ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਰਬ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਛਾਇਆ ॥
Jap ek parabẖū anek ravi▫ā sarab mandal cẖẖā▫i▫ā.
Chant, and meditate on the One God, who permeates and pervades the many beings of the whole Universe.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
Barahmo pasārā barahm pasri▫ā sabẖ barahm ḏaristī ā▫i▫ā.
God created it, and God spreads through it everywhere. Everywhere I look, I see God.

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਏ ॥
Jal thal mahī▫al pūr pūran ṯis binā nahī jā▫e.
The Perfect Lord is perfectly pervading and permeating the water, the land and the sky; there is no place without Him.
