ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਜੌ ਰਾਜੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਤ ਕਵਨ ਬਡਾਈ ॥
Jou rāj ḏėh ṯa kavan badā▫ī.
If You gave me an empire, then what glory would be in it for me?
|
ਜੌ ਭੀਖ ਮੰਗਾਵਹਿ ਤ ਕਿਆ ਘਟਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
Jou bẖīkẖ mangāvėh ṯa ki▫ā gẖat jā▫ī. ||1||
If You made me beg for charity, what would it take away from me? ||1||
|
ਤੂੰ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਨੁ ॥
Ŧūʼn har bẖaj man mere paḏ nirbān.
Meditate and vibrate upon the Lord, O my mind, and you shall obtain the state of Nirvaanaa.

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Bahur na ho▫e ṯerā āvan jān. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You shall not have to come and go in reincarnation any longer. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸਭ ਤੈ ਉਪਾਈ ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲਾਈ ॥
Sabẖ ṯai upā▫ī bẖaram bẖulā▫ī.
You created all, and You lead them astray in doubt.
|
ਜਿਸ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੨॥
Jis ṯūʼn ḏevėh ṯisėh bujẖā▫ī. ||2||
They alone understand, unto whom You give understanding. ||2||
|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਸਹਸਾ ਜਾਈ ॥
Saṯgur milai ṯa sahsā jā▫ī.
Meeting the True Guru, doubt is dispelled.
|
ਕਿਸੁ ਹਉ ਪੂਜਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਈ ॥੩॥
Kis ha▫o pūja▫o ḏūjā naḏar na ā▫ī. ||3||
Who else should I worship? I can see no other. ||3||
|
ਏਕੈ ਪਾਥਰ ਕੀਜੈ ਭਾਉ ॥
Ėkai pāthar kījai bẖā▫o.
One stone is lovingly decorated,
|
ਦੂਜੈ ਪਾਥਰ ਧਰੀਐ ਪਾਉ ॥
Ḏūjai pāthar ḏẖarī▫ai pā▫o.
while another stone is walked upon.
|
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਦੇਉ ਤ ਓਹੁ ਭੀ ਦੇਵਾ ॥
Je oh ḏe▫o ṯa oh bẖī ḏevā.
If one is a god, then the other must also be a god.
|
ਕਹਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
Kahi nāmḏe▫o ham har kī sevā. ||4||1||
Says Naam Dayv, I serve the Lord. ||4||1||

Goojaree, First House:
|
ਮਲੈ ਨ ਲਾਛੈ ਪਾਰ ਮਲੋ ਪਰਮਲੀਓ ਬੈਠੋ ਰੀ ਆਈ ॥
Malai na lācẖẖai pār malo paramlī▫o baiṯẖo rī ā▫ī.
He does not have even a trace of impurity - He is beyond impurity. He is fragrantly scented - He has come to take His Seat in my mind.

ਆਵਤ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪੇਖਿਓ ਕਵਨੈ ਜਾਣੈ ਰੀ ਬਾਈ ॥੧॥
Āvaṯ kinai na pekẖi▫o kavnai jāṇai rī bā▫ī. ||1||
No one saw Him come - who can know Him, O Siblings of Destiny? ||1||
|
ਕਉਣੁ ਕਹੈ ਕਿਣਿ ਬੂਝੀਐ ਰਮਈਆ ਆਕੁਲੁ ਰੀ ਬਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ka▫uṇ kahai kiṇ būjẖī▫ai rama▫ī▫ā ākul rī bā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Who can describe Him? Who can understand Him? The all-pervading Lord has no ancestors, O Siblings of Destiny. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਿਉ ਆਕਾਸੈ ਪੰਖੀਅਲੋ ਖੋਜੁ ਨਿਰਖਿਓ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
Ji▫o ākāsai pankẖī▫alo kẖoj nirkẖi▫o na jā▫ī.
As the path of a bird's flight across the sky cannot be seen,
|
ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਮਾਝੈ ਮਾਛਲੋ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪੇਖਣੋ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
Ji▫o jal mājẖai mācẖẖlo mārag pekẖ▫ṇo na jā▫ī. ||2||
and the path of a fish through the water cannot be seen;||2||
|
ਜਿਉ ਆਕਾਸੈ ਘੜੂਅਲੋ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭਰਿਆ ॥
Ji▫o ākāsai gẖaṛū▫alo marig ṯarisnā bẖari▫ā.
As the mirage leads one to mistake the sky for a pitcher filled with water -

ਨਾਮੇ ਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬੀਠਲੋ ਜਿਨਿ ਤੀਨੈ ਜਰਿਆ ॥੩॥੨॥
Nāme cẖe su▫āmī bīṯẖlo jin ṯīnai jari▫ā. ||3||2||
so is God, the Lord and Master of Naam Dayv, who fits these three comparisons. ||3||2||

ਦੂਧੁ ਤ ਬਛਰੈ ਥਨਹੁ ਬਿਟਾਰਿਓ ॥
Ḏūḏẖ ṯa bacẖẖrai thanhu bitāri▫o.
The calf has contaminated the milk in the teats.
|
ਫੂਲੁ ਭਵਰਿ ਜਲੁ ਮੀਨਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥
Fūl bẖavar jal mīn bigāri▫o. ||1||
The bumble bee has contaminated the flower, and the fish the water. ||1||
|
ਮਾਈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਹਾ ਲੈ ਚਰਾਵਉ ॥
Mā▫ī gobinḏ pūjā kahā lai cẖarāva▫o.
O mother, where shall I find any offering for the Lord's worship?
|
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਫੂਲੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Avar na fūl anūp na pāva▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I cannot find any other flowers worthy of the incomparable Lord. ||1||Pause||
|
ਮੈਲਾਗਰ ਬੇਰ੍ਹੇ ਹੈ ਭੁਇਅੰਗਾ ॥
Mailāgar berĥe hai bẖu▫i▫angā.
The snakes encircle the sandalwood trees.
|
ਬਿਖੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬਸਹਿ ਇਕ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੨॥
Bikẖ amriṯ basėh ik sangā. ||2||
Poison and nectar dwell there together. ||2||
|
ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਨਈਬੇਦਹਿ ਬਾਸਾ ॥
Ḏẖūp ḏīp na▫ībeḏėh bāsā.
Even with incense, lamps, offerings of food and fragrant flowers,
|
ਕੈਸੇ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਸਾ ॥੩॥
Kaise pūj karahi ṯerī ḏāsā. ||3||
how are Your slaves to worship You? ||3||
|
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਉ ਪੂਜ ਚਰਾਵਉ ॥
Ŧan man arpa▫o pūj cẖarāva▫o.
I dedicate and offer my body and mind to You.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੪॥
Gur parsāḏ niranjan pāva▫o. ||4||
By Guru's Grace, I attain the immaculate Lord. ||4||
|
ਪੂਜਾ ਅਰਚਾ ਆਹਿ ਨ ਤੋਰੀ ॥
Pūjā arcẖā āhi na ṯorī.
I cannot worship You, nor offer You flowers.
|
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਕਵਨ ਗਤਿ ਮੋਰੀ ॥੫॥੧॥
Kahi Raviḏās kavan gaṯ morī. ||5||1||
Says Ravi Daas, what shall my condition be hereafter? ||5||1||

ਅੰਤਰੁ ਮਲਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਨਾ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੇਖ ਉਦਾਸੀ ॥
Anṯar mal nirmal nahī kīnā bāhar bẖekẖ uḏāsī.
You have not cleansed the filth from within yourself, although outwardly, you wear the dress of a renunciate.

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਮਲੁ ਘਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਹੇ ਭਇਆ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ॥੧॥
Hirḏai kamal gẖat barahm na cẖīnĥā kāhe bẖa▫i▫ā sani▫āsī. ||1||
In the heart-lotus of your self, you have not recognized God - why have you become a Sannyaasee? ||1||
