ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਮਰੁ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੭॥
Jo ṯuḏẖ bẖāvai so bẖalā pi▫āre ṯerī amar rajā▫e. ||7||
Whatever pleases You is good, O Beloved; Your Will is Eternal. ||7||

ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਾਤੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥੪॥
Nānak rang raṯe nārā▫iṇai pi▫āre māṯe sahj subẖā▫e. ||8||2||4||
Nanak, those who are imbued with the Love of the All-Pervading Lord, O Beloved, remain intoxicated with His Love, in natural ease. ||8||2||4||

ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨਤੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਕਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਕਹਉ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥੧॥
Sabẖ biḏẖ ṯum hī jānṯe pi▫āre kis pėh kaha▫o sunā▫e. ||1||
You know all about my condition, O Beloved; who can I speak to about it? ||1||
|
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਪਹਿਰਹਿ ਖਾਇ ॥੨॥
Ŧūʼn ḏāṯā jī▫ā sabẖnā kā ṯerā ḏiṯā pahirahi kẖā▫e. ||2||
You are the Giver of all beings; they eat and wear what You give them. ||2||
|
ਸੁਖੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
Sukẖ ḏukẖ ṯerī āgi▫ā pi▫āre ḏūjī nāhī jā▫e. ||3||
Pleasure and pain come by Your Will, O Beloved; they do not come from any other. ||3||
|
ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਾਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਕਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥
Jo ṯūʼn karāvėh so karī pi▫āre avar kicẖẖ karaṇ na jā▫e. ||4||
Whatever You cause me to do, that I do, O Beloved; I cannot do anything else. ||4||
|
ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਸਭ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਤੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥੫॥
Ḏin raiṇ sabẖ suhāvaṇe pi▫āre jiṯ japī▫ai har nā▫o. ||5||
All my days and nights are blessed, O Beloved, when I chant and meditate on the Lord's Name. ||5||

ਸਾਈ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਣੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਾਇ ॥੬॥
Sā▫ī kār kamāvṇī pi▫āre ḏẖur masṯak lekẖ likẖā▫e. ||6||
He does the deeds, O Beloved, which are pre-ordained, and inscribed upon his forehead. ||6||

ਏਕੋ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੭॥
Ėko āp varaṯḏā pi▫āre gẖat gẖat rahi▫ā samā▫e. ||7||
The One is Himself prevailing everywhere, O Beloved; He is pervading in each and every heart. ||7||

ਸੰਸਾਰ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਉਧਰਿ ਲੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥੮॥੩॥੨੨॥੧੫॥੨॥੪੨॥
Sansār kūp ṯe uḏẖar lai pi▫āre Nānak har sarṇā▫e. ||8||3||22||15||2||42||
Lift me up out of the deep pit of the world, O Beloved; Nanak has taken to Your Sanctuary. ||8||3||22||15||2||42||

ਸਸੈ ਸੋਇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜੀ ਸਭਨਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਏਕੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
Sasai so▫e sarisat jin sājī sabẖnā sāhib ek bẖa▫i▫ā.
Sassa: He who created the world, is the One Lord and Master of all.

ਸੇਵਤ ਰਹੇ ਚਿਤੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਾ ਲਾਗਾ ਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਾ ਸਫਲੁ ਭਇਆ ॥੧॥
Sevaṯ rahe cẖiṯ jinĥ kā lāgā ā▫i▫ā ṯinĥ kā safal bẖa▫i▫ā. ||1||
Those whose consciousness remains committed to His Service - blessed is their birth and their coming into the world. ||1||
|
ਮਨ ਕਾਹੇ ਭੂਲੇ ਮੂੜ ਮਨਾ ॥
Man kāhe bẖūle mūṛ manā.
O mind, why forget Him? You foolish mind!
|
ਜਬ ਲੇਖਾ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਬੀਰਾ ਤਉ ਪੜਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jab lekẖā ḏevėh bīrā ṯa▫o paṛi▫ā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
When your account is adjusted, O brother, only then shall you be judged wise. ||1||Pause||

ਈਵੜੀ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਈ ॥
Īvṛī āḏ purakẖ hai ḏāṯā āpe sacẖā so▫ī.
Eevree: The Primal Lord is the Giver; He alone is True.

ਏਨਾ ਅਖਰਾ ਮਹਿ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥
Ėnā akẖrā mėh jo gurmukẖ būjẖai ṯis sir lekẖ na ho▫ī. ||2||
No accounting is due from the Gurmukh who understands the Lord through these letters. ||2||

ਊੜੈ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਜੈ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Ūṛai upmā ṯā kī kījai jā kā anṯ na pā▫i▫ā.
Ooraa: Sing the Praises of the One whose limit cannot be found.

ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Sevā karahi se▫ī fal pāvahi jinĥī sacẖ kamā▫i▫ā. ||3||
Those who perform service and practice truth, obtain the fruits of their rewards. ||3||

ਙੰਙੈ ਙਿਆਨੁ ਬੂਝੈ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਪੜਿਆ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
Ńańai ńi▫ān būjẖai je ko▫ī paṛi▫ā pandiṯ so▫ī.
Nganga: One who understands spiritual wisdom becomes a Pandit, a religious scholar.

ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਤਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਹੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੪॥
Sarab jī▫ā mėh eko jāṇai ṯā ha▫umai kahai na ko▫ī. ||4||
One who recognizes the One Lord among all beings does not talk of ego. ||4||

ਕਕੈ ਕੇਸ ਪੁੰਡਰ ਜਬ ਹੂਏ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਾਬੂਣੈ ਉਜਲਿਆ ॥
Kakai kes pundar jab hū▫e viṇ sābūṇai ujli▫ā.
Kakka: When the hair grows grey, then it shines without shampoo.

ਜਮ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੇ ਹੇਰੂ ਆਏ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਲਿ ਬੰਧਿ ਲਇਆ ॥੫॥
Jam rāje ke herū ā▫e mā▫i▫ā kai sangal banḏẖ la▫i▫ā. ||5||
The hunters of the King of Death come, and bind him in the chains of Maya. ||5||

ਖਖੈ ਖੁੰਦਕਾਰੁ ਸਾਹ ਆਲਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਖਰੀਦਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਖਰਚੁ ਦੀਆ ॥
Kẖakẖai kẖunḏkār sāh ālam kar kẖarīḏ jin kẖaracẖ ḏī▫ā.
Khakha: The Creator is the King of the world; He enslaves by giving nourishment.

ਬੰਧਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਬਾਧਿਆ ਅਵਰੀ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਇਆ ॥੬॥
Banḏẖan jā kai sabẖ jag bāḏẖi▫ā avrī kā nahī hukam pa▫i▫ā. ||6||
By His Binding, all the world is bound; no other Command prevails. ||6||
|
ਗਗੈ ਗੋਇ ਗਾਇ ਜਿਨਿ ਛੋਡੀ ਗਲੀ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗਰਬਿ ਭਇਆ ॥
Gagai go▫e gā▫e jin cẖẖodī galī gobiḏ garab bẖa▫i▫ā.
Gagga: One who renounces the singing of the songs of the Lord of the Universe, becomes arrogant in his speech.

ਘੜਿ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਆਵੀ ਸਾਜੀ ਚਾੜਣ ਵਾਹੈ ਤਈ ਕੀਆ ॥੭॥
Gẖaṛ bẖāʼnde jin āvī sājī cẖāṛaṇ vāhai ṯa▫ī kī▫ā. ||7||
One who has shaped the pots, and made the world the kiln, decides when to put them in it. ||7||
|
ਘਘੈ ਘਾਲ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜੇ ਘਾਲੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹੈ ॥
Gẖagẖai gẖāl sevak je gẖālai sabaḏ gurū kai lāg rahai.
Ghagha: The servant who performs service, remains attached to the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਜੇ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਮਤੁ ਰਹੈ ॥੮॥
Burā bẖalā je sam kar jāṇai in biḏẖ sāhib ramaṯ rahai. ||8||
One who recognizes bad and good as one and the same - in this way he is absorbed into the Lord and Master. ||8||
|
ਚਚੈ ਚਾਰਿ ਵੇਦ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਖਾਣੀ ਚਾਰਿ ਜੁਗਾ ॥
Cẖacẖai cẖār veḏ jin sāje cẖāre kẖāṇī cẖār jugā.
Chacha: He created the four Vedas, the four sources of creation, and the four ages -

ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੋਗੀ ਖਾਣੀ ਭੋਗੀ ਪੜਿਆ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਆਪਿ ਥੀਆ ॥੯॥
Jug jug jogī kẖāṇī bẖogī paṛi▫ā pandiṯ āp thī▫ā. ||9||
through each and every age, He Himself has been the Yogi, the enjoyer, the Pandit and the scholar. ||9||
