ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾ ਮਨਿ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥੧॥
गुरमुखा मनि परतीति है गुरि पूरै नामि समाणी ॥१॥
Gurmukẖā man parṯīṯ hai gur pūrai nām samāṇī. ||1||
The minds of the Gurmukhs are filled with faith; through the Perfect Guru, they merge in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||

ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥
मन मेरे मै हरि हरि कथा मनि भाणी ॥
Man mere mai har har kathā man bẖāṇī.
O my mind, the sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, is pleasing to my mind.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਨਿਤ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि हरि कथा नित सदा करि गुरमुखि अकथ कहाणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har har kathā niṯ saḏā kar gurmukẖ akath kahāṇī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Continually and forever, speak the sermon of the Lord, Har, Har; as Gurmukh, speak the Unspoken Speech. ||1||Pause||

ਮੈ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਖੋਜਿ ਢੰਢੋਲਿਆ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥
मै मनु तनु खोजि ढंढोलिआ किउ पाईऐ अकथ कहाणी ॥
Mai man ṯan kẖoj dẖandẖoli▫ā ki▫o pā▫ī▫ai akath kahāṇī.
I have searched through and through my mind and body; how can I attain this Unspoken Speech?

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁਣਿ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥
संत जना मिलि पाइआ सुणि अकथ कथा मनि भाणी ॥
Sanṯ janā mil pā▫i▫ā suṇ akath kathā man bẖāṇī.
Meeting with the humble Saints, I have found it; listening to the Unspoken Speech, my mind is pleased.

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੈ ਮੇਲੇ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੀ ॥੨॥
मेरै मनि तनि नामु अधारु हरि मै मेले पुरखु सुजाणी ॥२॥
Merai man ṯan nām aḏẖār har mai mele purakẖ sujāṇī. ||2||
The Lord's Name is the Support of my mind and body; I am united with the all-knowing Primal Lord God. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖੈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥
गुर पुरखै पुरखु मिलाइ प्रभ मिलि सुरती सुरति समाणी ॥
Gur purkẖai purakẖ milā▫e parabẖ mil surṯī suraṯ samāṇī.
The Guru, the Primal Being, has united me with the Primal Lord God. My consciousness has merged into the supreme consciousness.

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਣੀ ॥
वडभागी गुरु सेविआ हरि पाइआ सुघड़ सुजाणी ॥
vadbẖāgī gur sevi▫ā har pā▫i▫ā sugẖaṛ sujāṇī.
By great good fortune, I serve the Guru, and I have found my Lord, all-wise and all-knowing.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭਾਗ ਵਿਹੂਣਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਦੁਖੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
मनमुख भाग विहूणिआ तिन दुखी रैणि विहाणी ॥३॥
Manmukẖ bẖāg vihūṇi▫ā ṯin ḏukẖī raiṇ vihāṇī. ||3||
The self-willed manmukhs are very unfortunate; they pass their life-night in misery and pain. ||3||

ਹਮ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਦੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਿਆ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੀਜੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
हम जाचिक दीन प्रभ तेरिआ मुखि दीजै अम्रित बाणी ॥
Ham jācẖik ḏīn parabẖ ṯeri▫ā mukẖ ḏījai amriṯ baṇī.
I am just a meek beggar at Your Door, God; please, place the Ambrosial Word of Your Bani in my mouth.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਣੀ ॥
सतिगुरु मेरा मित्रु प्रभ हरि मेलहु सुघड़ सुजाणी ॥
Saṯgur merā miṯar parabẖ har melhu sugẖaṛ sujāṇī.
The True Guru is my friend; He unites me with my all-wise, all-knowing Lord God.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੩॥੫॥
जन नानक सरणागती करि किरपा नामि समाणी ॥४॥३॥५॥
Jan Nānak sarṇāgaṯī kar kirpā nām samāṇī. ||4||3||5||
Servant Nanak has entered Your Sanctuary; grant Your Grace, and merge me into Your Name. ||4||3||5||

ਹਰਿ ਭਾਉ ਲਗਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੀਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਰਾਖੁ ॥
हरि भाउ लगा बैरागीआ वडभागी हरि मनि राखु ॥
Har bẖā▫o lagā bairāgī▫ā vadbẖāgī har man rākẖ.
Detached from the world, I am in love with the Lord; by great good fortune, I have enshrined the Lord within my mind.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਰਧਾ ਊਪਜੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੁ ॥
मिलि संगति सरधा ऊपजै गुर सबदी हरि रसु चाखु ॥
Mil sangaṯ sarḏẖā ūpjai gur sabḏī har ras cẖākẖ.
Joining the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, faith has welled up within me; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I taste the sublime essence of the Lord.

ਸਭੁ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਭਾਖੁ ॥੧॥
सभु मनु तनु हरिआ होइआ गुरबाणी हरि गुण भाखु ॥१॥
Sabẖ man ṯan hari▫ā ho▫i▫ā gurbāṇī har guṇ bẖākẖ. ||1||
My mind and body have totally blossomed forth; through the Word of the Guru's Bani, I chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||

ਮਨ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੁ ॥
मन पिआरिआ मित्रा हरि हरि नाम रसु चाखु ॥
Man pi▫āri▫ā miṯrā har har nām ras cẖākẖ.
O my beloved mind, my friend, taste the sublime essence of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
गुरि पूरै हरि पाइआ हलति पलति पति राखु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur pūrai har pā▫i▫ā halaṯ palaṯ paṯ rākẖ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Through the Perfect Guru, I have found the Lord, who saves my honor, here and hereafter. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਚਾਖੁ ॥
हरि हरि नामु धिआईऐ हरि कीरति गुरमुखि चाखु ॥
Har har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai har kīraṯ gurmukẖ cẖākẖ.
Meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; as Gurmukh, taste the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises.

ਤਨੁ ਧਰਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਬੀਜੀਐ ਵਿਚਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖੁ ॥
तनु धरती हरि बीजीऐ विचि संगति हरि प्रभ राखु ॥
Ŧan ḏẖarṯī har bījī▫ai vicẖ sangaṯ har parabẖ rākẖ.
Plant the seed of the Lord in the body-farm. The Lord God is enshrined within the Sangat, the Holy Congregation.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੁ ॥੨॥
अम्रितु हरि हरि नामु है गुरि पूरै हरि रसु चाखु ॥२॥
Amriṯ har har nām hai gur pūrai har ras cẖākẖ. ||2||
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is Ambrosial Nectar. Through the Perfect Guru, taste the sublime essence of the Lord. ||2||

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਮਨਿ ਆਸਾ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਬਹੁ ਲਾਖੁ ॥
मनमुख त्रिसना भरि रहे मनि आसा दह दिस बहु लाखु ॥
Manmukẖ ṯarisnā bẖar rahe man āsā ḏah ḏis baho lākẖ.
The self-willed manmukhs are filled with hunger and thirst; their minds run around in the ten directions, hoping for great wealth.

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਦੇ ਵਿਚਿ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਰਾਖੁ ॥
बिनु नावै ध्रिगु जीवदे विचि बिसटा मनमुख राखु ॥
Bin nāvai ḏẖarig jīvḏe vicẖ bistā manmukẖ rākẖ.
Without the Name of the Lord, their life is cursed; the manmukhs are stuck in manure.

ਓਇ ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਭਵਾਈਅਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨੀ ਦੁਰਗੰਧ ਭਾਖੁ ॥੩॥
ओइ आवहि जाहि भवाईअहि बहु जोनी दुरगंध भाखु ॥३॥
O▫e āvahi jāhi bẖavā▫ī▫ah baho jonī ḏurganḏẖ bẖākẖ. ||3||
They come and go, and are consigned to wander through uncounted incarnations, eating stinking rot. ||3||

ਤ੍ਰਾਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਹਿ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖੁ ॥
त्राहि त्राहि सरणागती हरि दइआ धारि प्रभ राखु ॥
Ŧarāhi ṯarāhi sarṇāgaṯī har ḏa▫i▫ā ḏẖār parabẖ rākẖ.
Begging, imploring, I seek Your Sanctuary; Lord, shower me with Your Mercy, and save me, God.

ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਾਪੁ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਪਤਿ ਸਾਖੁ ॥
संतसंगति मेलापु करि हरि नामु मिलै पति साखु ॥
Sanṯsangaṯ melāp kar har nām milai paṯ sākẖ.
Lead me to join the Society of the Saints, and bless me with the honor and glory of the Lord's Name.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਭਾਖੁ ॥੪॥੪॥੬॥
हरि हरि नामु धनु पाइआ जन नानक गुरमति भाखु ॥४॥४॥६॥
Har har nām ḏẖan pā▫i▫ā jan Nānak gurmaṯ bẖākẖ. ||4||4||6||
I have obtained the wealth of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; servant Nanak chants the Lord's Name, through the Guru's Teachings. ||4||4||6||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥
हरि हरि भगति भरे भंडारा ॥
Har har bẖagaṯ bẖare bẖandārā.
Devotional worship to the Lord, Har, Har, is an overflowing treasure.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥
गुरमुखि रामु करे निसतारा ॥
Gurmukẖ rām kare nisṯārā.
The Gurmukh is emancipated by the Lord.
|
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
जिस नो क्रिपा करे मेरा सुआमी सो हरि के गुण गावै जीउ ॥१॥
Jis no kirpā kare merā su▫āmī so har ke guṇ gāvai jī▫o. ||1||
One who is blessed by the Mercy of my Lord and Master sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਬਨਵਾਲੀ ॥
हरि हरि क्रिपा करे बनवाली ॥
Har har kirpā kare banvālī.
O Lord, Har, Har, take pity on me,
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੀ ॥
हरि हिरदै सदा सदा समाली ॥
Har hirḏai saḏā saḏā samālī.
that within my heart, I may dwell upon You, Lord, forever and ever.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਅੜੇ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਛਡਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि हरि नामु जपहु मेरे जीअड़े जपि हरि हरि नामु छडावै जीउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har har nām japahu mere jī▫aṛe jap har har nām cẖẖadāvai jī▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my soul; chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, you shall be emancipated. ||1||Pause||
