ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਤੂੰ ਡਿਠਾ ॥
धंनु सु तेरे भगत जिन्ही सचु तूं डिठा ॥
Ḏẖan so ṯere bẖagaṯ jinĥī sacẖ ṯūʼn diṯẖā.
Blessed are the saints of Thine, who see Thee, O my True Lord.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਸੋਇ ਤੁਧੁ ॥
जिस नो तेरी दइआ सलाहे सोइ तुधु ॥
Jis no ṯerī ḏa▫i▫ā salāhe so▫e ṯuḏẖ.
He alone praises Thee, O God, on whom is Thy grace.

ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਧੁ ॥੨੦॥
जिसु गुर भेटे नानक निरमल सोई सुधु ॥२०॥
Jis gur bẖete Nānak nirmal so▫ī suḏẖ. ||20||
Filthless and immaculate is he, O Nanak, whom the Guru meets.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਭੂਮਿ ਰੰਗਾਵਲੀ ਮੰਝਿ ਵਿਸੂਲਾ ਬਾਗੁ ॥
फरीदा भूमि रंगावली मंझि विसूला बागु ॥
Farīḏā bẖūm rangāvalī manjẖ visūlā bāg.
O Farid, beauteous is this world. Within it is a thorny garden.

ਜੋ ਨਰ ਪੀਰਿ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਅੰਚ ਨ ਲਾਗ ॥੧॥
जो नर पीरि निवाजिआ तिन्हा अंच न लाग ॥१॥
Jo nar pīr nivāji▫ā ṯinĥā ancẖ na lāg. ||1||
The persons, who are blessed by the Guru; they suffer not even a scratch.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਉਮਰ ਸੁਹਾਵੜੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਵੰਨੜੀ ਦੇਹ ॥
फरीदा उमर सुहावड़ी संगि सुवंनड़ी देह ॥
Farīḏā umar suhāvaṛī sang suvannṛī ḏeh.
Farid, graceful is the age together with the beautifully coloured body.

ਵਿਰਲੇ ਕੇਈ ਪਾਈਅਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੇਹ ॥੨॥
विरले केई पाईअन्हि जिन्हा पिआरे नेह ॥२॥
virle ke▫ī pā▫ī▫aniĥ jinĥā pi▫āre neh. ||2||
A few are found to be such persons, who bear love to their Beloved.

ਜਪੁ ਤਪੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
जपु तपु संजमु दइआ धरमु जिसु देहि सु पाए ॥
Jap ṯap sanjam ḏa▫i▫ā ḏẖaram jis ḏėh so pā▫e.
He alone obtains meditation, hard service, self-control, compassion and faith, whom the Lord gives.

ਜਿਸੁ ਬੁਝਾਇਹਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਆਪਿ ਸੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥
जिसु बुझाइहि अगनि आपि सो नामु धिआए ॥
Jis bujẖā▫ihi agan āp so nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e.
He, whose fire the Lord Himself quenches, contemplates the Name.

ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਅਗਮ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਇਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦਿਖਾਏ ॥
अंतरजामी अगम पुरखु इक द्रिसटि दिखाए ॥
Anṯarjāmī agam purakẖ ik ḏarisat ḏikẖā▫e.
My Inaccessible Lord, the Inner-knower, makes man see with an empartial eye.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਆਸਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
साधसंगति कै आसरै प्रभ सिउ रंगु लाए ॥
Sāḏẖsangaṯ kai āsrai parabẖ si▫o rang lā▫e.
With the support of the society of saints, one embraces affection for the Lord.

ਅਉਗਣ ਕਟਿ ਮੁਖੁ ਉਜਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਤਰਾਏ ॥
अउगण कटि मुखु उजला हरि नामि तराए ॥
A▫ugaṇ kat mukẖ ujlā har nām ṯarā▫e.
Effacing demerits, man's countenance becomes bright and through God's Name he ferries across the world-ocean.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭਉ ਕਟਿਓਨੁ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥
जनम मरण भउ कटिओनु फिरि जोनि न पाए ॥
Janam maraṇ bẖa▫o kati▫on fir jon na pā▫e.
His fear of birth and death is removed and he enters not existence again.
|
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿਅਨੁ ਲੜੁ ਆਪਿ ਫੜਾਏ ॥
अंध कूप ते काढिअनु लड़ु आपि फड़ाए ॥
Anḏẖ kūp ṯe kādẖi▫an laṛ āp faṛā▫e.
Making him cling to His skirt, the Lord pulls him out of the blind well.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਰਖੇ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਏ ॥੨੧॥
नानक बखसि मिलाइअनु रखे गलि लाए ॥२१॥
Nānak bakẖas milā▫i▫an rakẖe gal lā▫e. ||21||
The Lord forgives and unites him with Himself and keeps him hugged to His bosom.

ਮੁਹਬਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਦੀ ਰਤਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲਿ ॥
मुहबति जिसु खुदाइ दी रता रंगि चलूलि ॥
Muhabaṯ jis kẖuḏā▫e ḏī raṯā rang cẖalūl.
He, who loves the Lord, is imbued with the deep red dye.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਮੂਲਿ ॥੧॥
नानक विरले पाईअहि तिसु जन कीम न मूलि ॥१॥
Nānak virle pā▫ī▫ah ṯis jan kīm na mūl. ||1||
Such a person is rarely found, one cannot ever appraise the worth of that man.

ਅੰਦਰੁ ਵਿਧਾ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਡਿਠੋਮਿ ॥
अंदरु विधा सचि नाइ बाहरि भी सचु डिठोमि ॥
Anḏar viḏẖā sacẖ nā▫e bāhar bẖī sacẖ diṯẖom.
The True Name has pierced my within. Without, too, I see the True Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਰਵਿਆ ਹਭ ਥਾਇ ਵਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਰੋਮਿ ॥੨॥
नानक रविआ हभ थाइ वणि त्रिणि त्रिभवणि रोमि ॥२॥
Nānak ravi▫ā habẖ thā▫e vaṇ ṯariṇ ṯaribẖavaṇ rom. ||2||
Nanak, the Lord is contained in all the places, forestas, vegetation, three worlds an d every hair.

ਆਪੇ ਕੀਤੋ ਰਚਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਰਤਿਆ ॥
आपे कीतो रचनु आपे ही रतिआ ॥
Āpe kīṯo racẖan āpe hī raṯi▫ā.
Himself the Lord has created the creartion and Himself is imbued with it.
|
ਆਪੇ ਹੋਇਓ ਇਕੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਭਤਿਆ ॥
आपे होइओ इकु आपे बहु भतिआ ॥
Āpe ho▫i▫o ik āpe baho bẖaṯi▫ā.
Himself to Lord becomes one and Himself of many varieties.
|
ਆਪੇ ਸਭਨਾ ਮੰਝਿ ਆਪੇ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥
आपे सभना मंझि आपे बाहरा ॥
Āpe sabẖnā manjẖ āpe bāhrā.
He Himself is within all and He Himself without them.
|
ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਹਰਾ ॥
आपे जाणहि दूरि आपे ही जाहरा ॥
Āpe jāṇėh ḏūr āpe hī jāhrā.
God Himself makes man know Him far and Himself just present.
|
ਆਪੇ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਆਪੇ ਪਰਗਟੀਐ ॥
आपे होवहि गुपतु आपे परगटीऐ ॥
Āpe hovėh gupaṯ āpe pargatī▫ai.
Thou Thyself, O Lord, becomest unmanifest and Thyself manifest.
|
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਪਾਇ ਤੇਰੀ ਥਟੀਐ ॥
कीमति किसै न पाइ तेरी थटीऐ ॥
Kīmaṯ kisai na pā▫e ṯerī thatī▫ai.
None can evaluate the worth of Thy creation, O my Master.
|
ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੁ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਅਗਣਤੁ ਤੂੰ ॥
गहिर ग्मभीरु अथाहु अपारु अगणतु तूं ॥
Gahir gambẖīr athāhu apār agṇaṯ ṯūʼn.
Thou, O Lord, art Deep, Profound Unfathomable, Infinite and Incomputable.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਰਤੈ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਇਕੁ ਤੂੰ ॥੨੨॥੧॥੨॥ ਸੁਧੁ ॥
नानक वरतै इकु इको इकु तूं ॥२२॥१॥२॥ सुधु ॥
Nānak varṯai ik iko ik ṯūʼn. ||22||1||2|| suḏẖ.
Nanak; the one Lord is pervading all, Thou, O my Lord, art but One.

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਕੀ ਵਾਰ ਰਾਇ ਬਲਵੰਡਿ ਤਥਾ ਸਤੈ ਡੂਮਿ ਆਖੀ
रामकली की वार राइ बलवंडि तथा सतै डूमि आखी
Rāmkalī kī vār rā▫e Balvand ṯathā Saṯai dūm ākẖī
Var of Ramkali. Uttered by Rai Balwand and Satta, the drummer.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
There is but One God, By True Guru's grace, He is obtained.
|
ਨਾਉ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਾਦਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਉ ਬੋਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੋਖੀਵਦੈ ॥
नाउ करता कादरु करे किउ बोलु होवै जोखीवदै ॥
Nā▫o karṯā kāḏar kare ki▫o bol hovai jokẖīvaḏai.
How can the words of him, who utters the Name of the omnipotent Creator be weighed?
|
ਦੇ ਗੁਨਾ ਸਤਿ ਭੈਣ ਭਰਾਵ ਹੈ ਪਾਰੰਗਤਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਪੜੀਵਦੈ ॥
दे गुना सति भैण भराव है पारंगति दानु पड़ीवदै ॥
Ḏe gunā saṯ bẖaiṇ bẖarāv hai pārangaṯ ḏān paṛīvaḏai.
The angelic virtues are the true sisters and brothers Through them the gift of salvation is obtained.

ਨਾਨਕਿ ਰਾਜੁ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਸਚੁ ਕੋਟੁ ਸਤਾਣੀ ਨੀਵ ਦੈ ॥
नानकि राजु चलाइआ सचु कोटु सताणी नीव दै ॥
Nānak rāj cẖalā▫i▫ā sacẖ kot saṯāṇī nīv ḏai.
Nanak established the Lord's empire and laid a very strong foundation of the fortress of truth.

ਲਹਣੇ ਧਰਿਓਨੁ ਛਤੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਿਫਤੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਦੈ ॥
लहणे धरिओनु छतु सिरि करि सिफती अम्रितु पीवदै ॥
Lahṇe ḏẖari▫on cẖẖaṯ sir kar sifṯī amriṯ pīvḏai.
Nanak placed the Royal crown, over Angad's head and hymning Lord's praise, he quaffed Nectar.

ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਆਤਮ ਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਖੜਗਿ ਜੋਰਿ ਪਰਾਕੁਇ ਜੀਅ ਦੈ ॥
मति गुर आतम देव दी खड़गि जोरि पराकुइ जीअ दै ॥
Maṯ gur āṯam ḏev ḏī kẖaṛag jor purāku▫e jī▫a ḏai.
Guru Nanak placed the soul illuminating, supremely powerful sword of his instruction in Lahna's mind.

ਗੁਰਿ ਚੇਲੇ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਕੀਈ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਥੀਵਦੈ ॥
गुरि चेले रहरासि कीई नानकि सलामति थीवदै ॥
Gur cẖele rahrās kī▫ī Nānak salāmaṯ thīvḏai.
During his very life-time Guru Nanak made obeisance unto Angad, his disciple.
|
ਸਹਿ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿਤੋਸੁ ਜੀਵਦੈ ॥੧॥
सहि टिका दितोसु जीवदै ॥१॥
Sėh tikā ḏiṯos jīvḏai. ||1||
Guru Nanak, the King, whilst alive gave the apostolic mark to Angad.
|
ਲਹਣੇ ਦੀ ਫੇਰਾਈਐ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਦੋਹੀ ਖਟੀਐ ॥
लहणे दी फेराईऐ नानका दोही खटीऐ ॥
Lahṇe ḏī ferā▫ī▫ai nānkā ḏohī kẖatī▫ai.
As the reward of his service, Nanak got announced the proclamation of Lahna's accession.

ਜੋਤਿ ਓਹਾ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸਾਇ ਸਹਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਫੇਰਿ ਪਲਟੀਐ ॥
जोति ओहा जुगति साइ सहि काइआ फेरि पलटीऐ ॥
Joṯ ohā jugaṯ sā▫e sėh kā▫i▫ā fer paltī▫ai.
The same is the Divine light and same the life department. The king (Nanak)has again merely changed his body.

ਝੁਲੈ ਸੁ ਛਤੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੀ ਮਲਿ ਤਖਤੁ ਬੈਠਾ ਗੁਰ ਹਟੀਐ ॥
झुलै सु छतु निरंजनी मलि तखतु बैठा गुर हटीऐ ॥
Jẖulai so cẖẖaṯ niranjanī mal ṯakẖaṯ baiṯẖā gur hatī▫ai.
The beauteous Divine umbrella waves over him(Angad) and he has occupied Guru Nanak's shop and sits on his throne.

ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਸਿਲ ਜੋਗੁ ਅਲੂਣੀ ਚਟੀਐ ॥
करहि जि गुर फुरमाइआ सिल जोगु अलूणी चटीऐ ॥
Karahi jė gur furmā▫i▫ā sil jog alūṇī cẖatī▫ai.
He does that what Guru Nanak ordered him and tastes the insipid stone, leading to the union with the Lord.
