ਸਾਧ ਪਠਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਦੂਰਿ ॥
साध पठाए आपि हरि हम तुम ते नाही दूरि ॥
Sāḏẖ paṯẖā▫e āp har ham ṯum ṯe nāhī ḏūr.
God himself sends the saints to the world saying. "I am not far from ye".

ਨਾਨਕ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਰਮਣ ਰਾਮ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੨॥
नानक भ्रम भै मिटि गए रमण राम भरपूरि ॥२॥
Nānak bẖaram bẖai mit ga▫e ramaṇ rām bẖarpūr. ||2||
Nanak, uttering the Name of the All-pervading Lord, my doubt and dread are dispelled.

ਰੁਤਿ ਸਿਸੀਅਰ ਸੀਤਲ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਮੰਘਰ ਪੋਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
रुति सिसीअर सीतल हरि प्रगटे मंघर पोहि जीउ ॥
Ruṯ sisī▫ar sīṯal har pargate mangẖar pohi jī▫o.
In the moon-cool season of the months of Maghar and Poh, God has become manifest unto me.

ਜਲਨਿ ਬੁਝੀ ਦਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਧ੍ਰੋਹ ਜੀਉ ॥
जलनि बुझी दरसु पाइआ बिनसे माइआ ध्रोह जीउ ॥
Jalan bujẖī ḏaras pā▫i▫ā binse mā▫i▫ā ḏẖaroh jī▫o.
Seeing the Lord's vision my heart-burning is stopped and the fraud of mammon is ended

ਸਭਿ ਕਾਮ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਜੂਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਸੇਵਕਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ॥
सभि काम पूरे मिलि हजूरे हरि चरण सेवकि सेविआ ॥
Sabẖ kām pūre mil hajūre har cẖaraṇ sevak sevi▫ā.
Meeting with my God, face to face, all my desires are fulfilled and I serve His feet like a bond-slave.

ਹਾਰ ਡੋਰ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਸਭਿ ਰਸ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵਿਆ ॥
हार डोर सीगार सभि रस गुण गाउ अलख अभेविआ ॥
Hār dor sīgār sabẖ ras guṇ gā▫o alakẖ abẖevi▫ā.
My Necklace, hair-string decorations and all the dainties consist in singing the praise of the Invisible and Inscrutable Lord.

ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਜਮੁ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਜੋਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
भाउ भगति गोविंद बांछत जमु न साकै जोहि जीउ ॥
Bẖā▫o bẖagaṯ govinḏ bāʼncẖẖaṯ jam na sākai johi jī▫o.
Death's courier can spy not those, who long for the love and service of the world-Lord.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਤਹ ਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥
बिनवंति नानक प्रभि आपि मेली तह न प्रेम बिछोह जीउ ॥६॥
Binvanṯ Nānak parabẖ āp melī ṯah na parem bicẖẖoh jī▫o. ||6||
Supplicates Nanak, she, whom the Lord has united with Himself; she suffers not separation of love from her Beloved.

ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਡੋਲਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਚੀਤ ॥
हरि धनु पाइआ सोहागणी डोलत नाही चीत ॥
Har ḏẖan pā▫i▫ā sohāgaṇī dolaṯ nāhī cẖīṯ.
The chaste bride has obtained the wealth of God's and her mind now wavers not.

ਸੰਤ ਸੰਜੋਗੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੀਤ ॥੧॥
संत संजोगी नानका ग्रिहि प्रगटे प्रभ मीत ॥१॥
Sanṯ sanjogī nānkā garihi pargate parabẖ mīṯ. ||1||
O Nanak, meeting with the saints, the Lord, my Friend, has become manifest in my very home.

ਨਾਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਅਨੰਦ ਕੋਡ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਨੇ ॥
नाद बिनोद अनंद कोड प्रिअ प्रीतम संगि बने ॥
Nāḏ binoḏ anand kod pari▫a parīṯam sang bane.
With her loved spouse the bride enjoys millions of melodies, merriments and joys.

ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਭਨੇ ॥੨॥
मन बांछत फल पाइआ हरि नानक नाम भने ॥२॥
Man bāʼncẖẖaṯ fal pā▫i▫ā har Nānak nām bẖane. ||2||
Uttering the Lord's Name, O Nanak, the mortal obtains the fruits of his heart's desire

ਹਿਮਕਰ ਰੁਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਤੀ ਮਾਘੁ ਫਗਣੁ ਗੁਣਵੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥
हिमकर रुति मनि भावती माघु फगणु गुणवंत जीउ ॥
Himkar ruṯ man bẖāvṯī māgẖ fagaṇ guṇvanṯ jī▫o.
The autumnal or snow-bound season of the months of Maghand Phagan is pleasing to my mind and is very meritorious.

ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀ ਗਾਉ ਮੰਗਲੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਆਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥
सखी सहेली गाउ मंगलो ग्रिहि आए हरि कंत जीउ ॥
Sakẖī sahelī gā▫o manglo garihi ā▫e har kanṯ jī▫o.
O my mates and companions, sing ye the songs of rejoicing, God, my Groom, has entered into my home.

ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਲਾਲ ਆਏ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਏ ਸੇਜ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਸੋਹੀਆ ॥
ग्रिहि लाल आए मनि धिआए सेज सुंदरि सोहीआ ॥
Garihi lāl ā▫e man ḏẖi▫ā▫e sej sunḏar sohī▫ā.
My Beloved has come home, in my mind meditate I on Him and my hearty beauteous couch is bedecked,

ਵਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਭਏ ਹਰਿਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਮੋਹੀਆ ॥
वणु त्रिणु त्रिभवण भए हरिआ देखि दरसन मोहीआ ॥
vaṇ ṯariṇ ṯaribẖavaṇ bẖa▫e hari▫ā ḏekẖ ḏarsan mohī▫ā.
The woods, the grass-blades and the three worlds have become green and on seeing my Love's vision, I am bewitched.

ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਇਛ ਪੁੰਨੀ ਮਨਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥
मिले सुआमी इछ पुंनी मनि जपिआ निरमल मंत जीउ ॥
Mile su▫āmī icẖẖ punnī man japi▫ā nirmal manṯ jī▫o.
Meeting with my Master, my desire is fulfilled and my mind repeats the Immaculate Name-spell.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਤ ਕਰਹੁ ਰਲੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸ੍ਰੀਧਰ ਕੰਤ ਜੀਉ ॥੭॥
बिनवंति नानक नित करहु रलीआ हरि मिले स्रीधर कंत जीउ ॥७॥
Binvanṯ Nānak niṯ karahu ralī▫ā har mile sarīḏẖar kanṯ jī▫o. ||7||
Prays Nanak I have met God, my Groom who is the Lord of excellence and I now ever make merry.

ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ਜੀਅ ਕੇ ਭਵਜਲ ਤਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥
संत सहाई जीअ के भवजल तारणहार ॥
Sanṯ sahā▫ī jī▫a ke bẖavjal ṯāraṇhār.
The saints are the succourers of the soul and are the ferry-men to cross the terrible world-ocean.

ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚੇ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰ ॥੧॥
सभ ते ऊचे जाणीअहि नानक नाम पिआर ॥१॥
Sabẖ ṯe ūcẖe jāṇī▫ahi Nānak nām pi▫ār. ||1||
O Nanak, know them to be the highest of all, as they cherish love for the Lord's Name.

ਜਿਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਤਰੇ ਸੇ ਸੂਰੇ ਸੇ ਬੀਰ ॥
जिन जानिआ सेई तरे से सूरे से बीर ॥
Jin jāni▫ā se▫ī ṯare se sūre se bīr.
They, who know the Lord, swim across. They are the heroes and they alone, the warriors.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਉਤਰੇ ਤੀਰ ॥੨॥
नानक तिन बलिहारणै हरि जपि उतरे तीर ॥२॥
Nānak ṯin balihārṇai har jap uṯre ṯīr. ||2||
Nanak is a sacrifice, unto those, who by uttering God's Name land on the shore.

ਚਰਣ ਬਿਰਾਜਿਤ ਸਭ ਊਪਰੇ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਸਗਲ ਕਲੇਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
चरण बिराजित सभ ऊपरे मिटिआ सगल कलेसु जीउ ॥
Cẖaraṇ birājiṯ sabẖ ūpre miti▫ā sagal kales jī▫o.
The Lord's feet abide over the head of all, Enshrining them in the mind all the woes are erased.

ਆਵਣ ਜਾਵਣ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕੀਆ ਪਰਵੇਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
आवण जावण दुख हरे हरि भगति कीआ परवेसु जीउ ॥
Āvaṇ jāvaṇ ḏukẖ hare har bẖagaṯ kī▫ā parves jī▫o.
They dispel the agony of coming and going and the Lord's meditation enters into the man's mind.

ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਾਤੇ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਬੀਸਰੈ ॥
हरि रंगि राते सहजि माते तिलु न मन ते बीसरै ॥
Har rang rāṯe sahj māṯe ṯil na man ṯe bīsrai.
Inebriated with Divine knowledge, one is imbued with God's love, and within his mind forgets not the Lord, even for an instant.

ਤਜਿ ਆਪੁ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਰੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣ ਜਗਦੀਸਰੈ ॥
तजि आपु सरणी परे चरनी सरब गुण जगदीसरै ॥
Ŧaj āp sarṇī pare cẖarnī sarab guṇ jagḏīsrai.
Shedding my self-conceit, I have fallen under the protection of God's feet, All the virtues abide in the Lord of the Universe.

ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਸ੍ਰੀਰੰਗ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਦਿ ਕਉ ਆਦੇਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
गोविंद गुण निधि स्रीरंग सुआमी आदि कउ आदेसु जीउ ॥
Govinḏ guṇ niḏẖ sarīrang su▫āmī āḏ ka▫o āḏes jī▫o.
I make obeisance unto the Primal Lord, the Lord of the World, the Treasure of virtues and the lover of eminence.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਇਆ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੋ ਇਕ ਵੇਸੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੮॥੧॥੬॥੮॥
बिनवंति नानक मइआ धारहु जुगु जुगो इक वेसु जीउ ॥८॥१॥६॥८॥
Binvanṯ Nānak ma▫i▫ā ḏẖārahu jug jugo ik ves jī▫o. ||8||1||6||8||
Prays Nanak, show Thou mercy unto me, O Lord, Thou art of the same form in every age.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
There is but One True God. By Guru's grace, he is obtained.

ਓਅੰਕਾਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਉਤਪਤਿ ॥
ओअंकारि ब्रहमा उतपति ॥
O▫ankār barahmā uṯpaṯ.
Brahma was created through the One Lord.
|
ਓਅੰਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ॥
ओअंकारु कीआ जिनि चिति ॥
O▫ankār kī▫ā jin cẖiṯ.
That Brahma cherished the one Lord in the mind.
|
ਓਅੰਕਾਰਿ ਸੈਲ ਜੁਗ ਭਏ ॥
ओअंकारि सैल जुग भए ॥
O▫ankār sail jug bẖa▫e.
It is from the One Lord, that mountains and ages have emanated.
|
ਓਅੰਕਾਰਿ ਬੇਦ ਨਿਰਮਏ ॥
ओअंकारि बेद निरमए ॥
O▫ankār beḏ nirma▫e.
It is the Lord who created the Vedas.
