ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੀ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਿਆਰਿ
Sabaḏ raṯī sohāgaṇī saṯgur kai bẖā▫e pi▫ār.
The happy soul-bride is attuned to the Word of the Shabad; she is in love with the True Guru.

ਸਦਾ ਰਾਵੇ ਪਿਰੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਚੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ
Saḏā rāve pir āpṇā sacẖai parem pi▫ār.
She continually enjoys and ravishes her Beloved, with true love and affection.

ਅਤਿ ਸੁਆਲਿਉ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰਿ
Aṯ su▫āli▫o sunḏrī sobẖāvanṯī nār.
She is such a loveable, beautiful and noble woman.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਮੇਲੀ ਮੇਲਣਹਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
Nānak nām sohāgaṇī melī melaṇhār. ||2||
O Nanak, through the Naam, the happy soul-bride unites with the Lord of Union. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਭ ਕਰਹਿ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਫਾਥੇ ਕਾਢਿਆ
Har ṯerī sabẖ karahi usṯaṯ jin fāthe kādẖi▫ā.
Lord, everyone sings Your Praises. You have freed us from bondage.

ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧਨੋ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਭ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਪੈ ਤੇ ਰਾਖਿਆ
Har ṯuḏẖno karahi sabẖ namaskār jin pāpai ṯe rākẖi▫ā.
Lord, everyone bows in reverence to You. You have saved us from our sinful ways.

ਹਰਿ ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਡਾਢੀ ਹੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਡਾਢਿਆ
Har nimāṇi▫ā ṯūʼn māṇ har dādẖī hūʼn ṯūʼn dādẖi▫ā.
Lord, You are the Honor of the dishonored. Lord, You are the Strongest of the strong.

ਹਰਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀਆ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਿਵਾਏ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੂੜ ਸਾਧਿਆ
Har ahaʼnkārī▫ā mār nivā▫e manmukẖ mūṛ sāḏẖi▫ā.
The Lord beats down the egocentrics and corrects the foolish, self-willed manmukhs.

ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਗਰੀਬ ਅਨਾਥਿਆ ॥੧੭॥
Har bẖagṯā ḏe▫e vadi▫ā▫ī garīb anāthi▫ā. ||17||
The Lord bestows glorious greatness on His devotees, the poor, and the lost souls. ||17||

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ
Salok mėhlā 3.
Shalok, Third Mehl:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜੋ ਚਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਡੀ ਹੋਇ
Saṯgur kai bẖāṇai jo cẖalai ṯis vadi▫ā▫ī vadī ho▫e.
One who walks in harmony with the Will of the True Guru, obtains the greatest glory.

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਤਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਮੇਟਿ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਇ
Har kā nām uṯam man vasai met na sakai ko▫e.
The Exalted Name of the Lord abides in his mind, and no one can take it away.

ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ
Kirpā kare jis āpṇī ṯis karam parāpaṯ ho▫e.
That person, upon whom the Lord bestows His Grace, receives His Mercy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥
Nānak kāraṇ karṯe vas hai gurmukẖ būjẖai ko▫e. ||1||
O Nanak, creativity is under the control of the Creator; how rare are those who, as Gurmukh, realize this! ||1||

Third Mehl:

ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਤਾਰ
Nānak har nām jinī ārāḏẖi▫ā an▫ḏin har liv ṯār.
O Nanak, those who worship and adore the Lord's Name night and day, vibrate the String of the Lord's Love.

ਮਾਇਆ ਬੰਦੀ ਖਸਮ ਕੀ ਤਿਨ ਅਗੈ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਕਾਰ
Mā▫i▫ā banḏī kẖasam kī ṯin agai kamāvai kār.
Maya, the maid-servant of our Lord and Master, serves them.

ਪੂਰੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰ
Pūrai pūrā kar cẖẖodi▫ā hukam savāraṇhār.
The Perfect One has made them perfect; by the Hukam of His Command, they are embellished.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ
Gur parsādī jin bujẖi▫ā ṯin pā▫i▫ā mokẖ ḏu▫ār.
By Guru's Grace, they understand Him, and they find the gate of salvation.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਤਿਨ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਮ ਜੰਦਾਰੁ
Manmukẖ hukam na jāṇnī ṯin māre jam janḏār.
The self-willed manmukhs do not know the Lord's Command; they are beaten down by the Messenger of Death.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨੀ ਤਰਿਆ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ
Gurmukẖ jinī arāḏẖi▫ā ṯinī ṯari▫ā bẖa▫ojal sansār.
But the Gurmukhs, who worship and adore the Lord, cross over the terrifying world-ocean.

ਸਭਿ ਅਉਗਣ ਗੁਣੀ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
Sabẖ a▫ugaṇ guṇī mitā▫i▫ā gur āpe bakẖsaṇhār. ||2||
All their demerits are erased, and replaced with merits. The Guru Himself is their Forgiver. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਾ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ
Har kī bẖagṯā parṯīṯ har sabẖ kicẖẖ jāṇḏā.
The Lord's devotees have faith in Him. The Lord knows everything.

ਹਰਿ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਰਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਦਾ
Har jevad nāhī ko▫ī jāṇ har ḏẖaram bīcẖārḏā.
No one is as great a Knower as the Lord; the Lord administers righteous justice.

ਕਾੜਾ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ਕਿਉ ਕੀਜੈ ਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਧਰਮਿ ਮਾਰਦਾ
Kāṛā anḏesā ki▫o kījai jā nāhī aḏẖram mārḏā.
Why should we feel any burning anxiety, since the Lord does not punish without just cause?

ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਆਉ ਪਾਪੀ ਨਰੁ ਹਾਰਦਾ
Sacẖā sāhib sacẖ ni▫ā▫o pāpī nar hārḏā.
True is the Master, and True is His Justice; only the sinners are defeated.

ਸਾਲਾਹਿਹੁ ਭਗਤਹੁ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਤਾਰਦਾ ॥੧੮॥
Sālāhihu bẖagṯahu kar joṛ har bẖagaṯ jan ṯārḏā. ||18||
O devotees, praise the Lord with your palms pressed together; the Lord saves His humble devotees. ||18||

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ
Salok mėhlā 3.
Shalok, Third Mehl:

ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਖਾ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ
Āpṇe parīṯam mil rahā anṯar rakẖā ur ḏẖār.
Oh, if only I could meet my Beloved, and keep Him enshrined deep within my heart!

ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ
Sālāhī so parabẖ saḏā saḏā gur kai heṯ pi▫ār.
I praise that God forever and ever, through love and affection for the Guru.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਸਾਈ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
Nānak jis naḏar kare ṯis mel la▫e sā▫ī suhāgaṇ nār. ||1||
O Nanak, that one upon whom He bestows His Glance of Grace is united with Him; such a person is the true soul-bride of the Lord. ||1||

ਮਃ
Mėhlā 3.
Third Mehl:

ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ
Gur sevā ṯe har pā▫ī▫ai jā ka▫o naḏar kare▫i.
Serving the Guru, the Lord is obtained, when He bestows His Glance of Grace.

ਮਾਣਸ ਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਭਏ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰੇ
Māṇas ṯe ḏevṯe bẖa▫e ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā nām hare.
They are transformed from humans into angels, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰੇ
Ha▫umai mār milā▫i▫an gur kai sabaḏ ṯare.
They conquer their egotism and merge with the Lord; they are saved through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਅਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥
Nānak sahj samā▫i▫an har āpṇī kirpā kare. ||2||
O Nanak, they merge imperceptibly into the Lord, who has bestowed His Favor upon them. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖਾਲੀਅਨੁ
Har āpṇī bẖagaṯ karā▫e vadi▫ā▫ī vekẖāli▫an.
The Lord Himself inspires us to worship Him; He reveals His Glorious Greatness.

ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਘਾਲੀਅਨੁ
Āpṇī āp kare parṯīṯ āpe sev gẖālī▫an.
He Himself inspires us to place our faith in Him. Thus He performs His Own Service.
