ਪੰਚ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਮਾਰਿ ॥
Pancẖ singẖ rākẖe parabẖ mār.
God killed the five tigers.

ਦਸ ਬਿਘਿਆੜੀ ਲਈ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥
Ḏas bigi▫āṛī la▫ī nivār.
He has driven out the ten wolves.
|
ਤੀਨਿ ਆਵਰਤ ਕੀ ਚੂਕੀ ਘੇਰ ॥
Ŧīn āvraṯ kī cẖūkī gẖer.
The three whirl-pools have stopped spinning.
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਚੂਕੇ ਭੈ ਫੇਰ ॥੧॥
Sāḏẖsang cẖūke bẖai fer. ||1||
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the fear of reincarnation is gone. ||1||
|
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥
Simar simar jīvā govinḏ.
Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord of the Universe, I live.
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਦਾਸੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਬਖਸਿੰਦ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kar kirpā rākẖi▫o ḏās apnā saḏā saḏā sācẖā bakẖsinḏ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
In His Mercy, He protects His slave; the True Lord is forever and ever the forgiver. ||1||Pause||
|
ਦਾਝਿ ਗਏ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਪਾਪ ਸੁਮੇਰ ॥
Ḏājẖ ga▫e ṯariṇ pāp sumer.
The mountain of sin is burnt down, like straw,
|
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੂਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੈਰ ॥
Jap jap nām pūje parabẖ pair.
by chanting and meditating on the Name, and worshipping God's feet.

ਅਨਦ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓ ਸਭ ਥਾਨਿ ॥
Anaḏ rūp pargati▫o sabẖ thān.
God, the embodiment of bliss, becomes manifest everywhere.
|
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਜੋਰੀ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਨਿ ॥੨॥
Parem bẖagaṯ jorī sukẖ mān. ||2||
Linked to His loving devotional worship, I enjoy peace. ||2||
|
ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਓ ਬਾਛਰ ਖੋਜ ॥
Sāgar ṯari▫o bācẖẖar kẖoj.
I have crossed over the world-ocean, as if it were no bigger than a calf's footprint on the ground.
|
ਖੇਦੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਨਹ ਫੁਨਿ ਰੋਜ ॥
Kẖeḏ na pā▫i▫o nah fun roj.
I shall never again have to endure suffering or grief.
|
ਸਿੰਧੁ ਸਮਾਇਓ ਘਟੁਕੇ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
Sinḏẖ samā▫i▫o gẖatuke māhi.
The ocean is contained in the pitcher.
|
ਕਰਣਹਾਰ ਕਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੩॥
Karanhār ka▫o kicẖẖ acẖraj nāhi. ||3||
This is not such an amazing thing for the Creator to do. ||3||
|
ਜਉ ਛੂਟਉ ਤਉ ਜਾਇ ਪਇਆਲ ॥
Ja▫o cẖẖūta▫o ṯa▫o jā▫e pa▫i▫āl.
When I am separated from Him, then I am consigned to the nether regions.
|
ਜਉ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਤਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
Ja▫o kādẖi▫o ṯa▫o naḏar nihāl.
When He lifts me up and pulls me out, then I am enraptured by His Glance of Grace.
|
ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨ ਹਮਰੈ ਵਸਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
Pāp punn hamrai vas nāhi.
Vice and virtue are not under my control.
|
ਰਸਕਿ ਰਸਕਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੪॥੪੦॥੫੧॥
Rasak rasak Nānak guṇ gāhi. ||4||40||51||
With love and affection, Nanak sings His Glorious Praises. ||4||40||51||

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Rāmkalī mėhlā 5.
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਨਾ ਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾ ਮਨੁ ਤੋਹਿ ॥
Nā ṯan ṯerā nā man ṯohi.
Neither your body nor your mind belong to you.
|
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਿਆਪਿਆ ਧੋਹਿ ॥
Mā▫i▫ā mohi bi▫āpi▫ā ḏẖohi.
Attached to Maya, you are entangled in fraud.
|
ਕੁਦਮ ਕਰੈ ਗਾਡਰ ਜਿਉ ਛੇਲ ॥
Kuḏam karai gādar ji▫o cẖẖel.
You play like a baby lamb.
|
ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਜਾਲੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਚਕ੍ਰੁ ਪੇਲ ॥੧॥
Acẖinṯ jāl kāl cẖakaro pel. ||1||
But suddenly, Death will catch you in its noose. ||1||
|
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਰਨਾਇ ਮਨਾ ॥
Har cẖaran kamal sarnā▫e manā.
Seek the Sanctuary of the Lord's lotus feet, O my mind.
|
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਧਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Rām nām jap sang sahā▫ī gurmukẖ pāvahi sācẖ ḏẖanā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Chant the Name of the Lord, which will be your help and support. As Gurmukh, you shall obtain the true wealth. ||1||Pause||
|
ਊਨੇ ਕਾਜ ਨ ਹੋਵਤ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
Ūne kāj na hovaṯ pūre.
Your unfinished worldly affairs will never be resolved.
|
ਕਾਮਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿ ਮਦਿ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਝੂਰੇ ॥
Kām kroḏẖ maḏ saḏ hī jẖūre.
You shall always regret your sexual desire, anger and pride.
|
ਕਰੈ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਜੀਅਰੇ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥
Karai bikār jī▫are kai ṯā▫ī.
You act in corruption in order to survive,
|
ਗਾਫਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਤਸੂਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
Gāfal sang na ṯasū▫ā jā▫ī. ||2||
but not even an iota will go along with you, you ignorant fool! ||2||
|
ਧਰਤ ਧੋਹ ਅਨਿਕ ਛਲ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
Ḏẖaraṯ ḏẖoh anik cẖẖal jānai.
You practice deception, and you know many tricks;
|
ਕਉਡੀ ਕਉਡੀ ਕਉ ਖਾਕੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਛਾਨੈ ॥
Ka▫udī ka▫udī ka▫o kẖāk sir cẖẖānai.
for the sake of mere shells, you throw dust upon your head.
|
ਜਿਨਿ ਦੀਆ ਤਿਸੈ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਮੂਲਿ ॥
Jin ḏī▫ā ṯisai na cẖeṯai mūl.
You never even think of the One who gave you life.
|
ਮਿਥਿਆ ਲੋਭੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਸੂਲੁ ॥੩॥
Mithi▫ā lobẖ na uṯrai sūl. ||3||
The pain of false greed never leaves you. ||3||
|
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜਬ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
Pārbarahm jab bẖa▫e ḏa▫i▫āl.
When the Supreme Lord God becomes merciful,
|
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲ ॥
Ih man ho▫ā sāḏẖ ravāl.
this mind becomes the dust of the feet of the Holy.
|
ਹਸਤ ਕਮਲ ਲੜਿ ਲੀਨੋ ਲਾਇ ॥
Hasaṯ kamal laṛ līno lā▫e.
With His lotus hands, He has attached us to the hem of His robe.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੪੧॥੫੨॥
Nānak sācẖai sācẖ samā▫e. ||4||41||52||
Nanak merges in the Truest of the True. ||4||41||52||

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Rāmkalī mėhlā 5.
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:
|
ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥
Rājā rām kī sarṇā▫e.
I seek the Sanctuary of the Sovereign Lord.
|
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Nirbẖa▫o bẖa▫e gobinḏ gun gāvaṯ sāḏẖsang ḏukẖ jā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I have become fearless, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, my pains have been taken away. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਬਸੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
Jā kai rām basai man māhī.
That person, within whose mind the Lord abides,
|
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਪੇਖਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
So jan ḏuṯar pekẖaṯ nāhī.
does not see the impassible world-ocean.
|
ਸਗਲੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਅਪਨੇ ॥
Sagle kāj savāre apne.
All one's affairs are resolved,
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਨ ਨਿਤ ਜਪਨੇ ॥੧॥
Har har nām rasan niṯ japne. ||1||
by chanting continually the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||
|
ਜਿਸ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਹਾਥੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਧਰੈ ॥
Jis kai masṯak hāth gur ḏẖarai.
The Guru places His hand upon whos forehead,
|
ਸੋ ਦਾਸੁ ਅਦੇਸਾ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਰੈ ॥
So ḏās aḏesā kāhe karai.
why should that slave of Him feel any anxiety?.
|
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ॥
Janam maraṇ kī cẖūkī kāṇ.
The fear of birth and death is dispelled;
|
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਕੁਰਬਾਣ ॥੨॥
Pūrai gur ūpar kurbāṇ. ||2||
I am a sacrifice to the Perfect Guru. ||2||
|
ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਭੇਟਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
Gur parmesar bẖet nihāl.
I am enraptured, meeting with the Guru, the Transcendent Lord.
|
ਸੋ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ ॥
So ḏarsan pā▫e jis ho▫e ḏa▫i▫āl.
He alone obtains the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, who is blessed by His Mercy.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੈ ॥
Pārbarahm jis kirpā karai.
One who is blessed by the Grace of the Supreme Lord God,
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸੋ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰੈ ॥੩॥
Sāḏẖsang so bẖavjal ṯarai. ||3||
crosses over the terrifying world-ocean in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||3||
|
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਹੁ ਸਾਧ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
Amriṯ pīvhu sāḏẖ pi▫āre.
Drink in the Ambrosial Nectar, O Beloved Holy people.
|
ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਸਾਚੈ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ॥
Mukẖ ūjal sācẖai ḏarbāre.
Your face shall be radiant and bright in the Court of the Lord.
|
ਅਨਦ ਕਰਹੁ ਤਜਿ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥
Anaḏ karahu ṯaj sagal bikār.
Celebrate and be blissful, and abandon all corruption.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਉਤਰਹੁ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੪੨॥੫੩॥
Nānak har jap uṯarahu pār. ||4||42||53||
O Nanak, meditate on the Lord and cross over. ||4||42||53||
