ਬਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
बडै भागि साधसंगु पाइओ ॥१॥
Badai bẖāg sāḏẖsang pā▫i▫o. ||1||
By the highest destiny, you found the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਉਧਾਰੁ
बिनु गुर पूरे नाही उधारु ॥
Bin gur pūre nāhī uḏẖār.
Without the Perfect Guru, no one is saved.

ਬਾਬਾ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖੈ ਏਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥੨॥੧੧॥
बाबा नानकु आखै एहु बीचारु ॥२॥११॥
Bābā Nānak ākẖai ehu bīcẖār. ||2||11||
This is what Baba Nanak says, after deep reflection. ||2||11||

Rāg rāmkalī mėhlā 5 gẖar 2
Raag Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl, Second House:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਚਾਰਿ ਪੁਕਾਰਹਿ ਨਾ ਤੂ ਮਾਨਹਿ
चारि पुकारहि ना तू मानहि ॥
Cẖār pukārėh nā ṯū mānėh.
The four Vedas proclaim it, but you don't believe them.

ਖਟੁ ਭੀ ਏਕਾ ਬਾਤ ਵਖਾਨਹਿ
खटु भी एका बात वखानहि ॥
Kẖat bẖī ekā bāṯ vakẖānėh.
The six Shaastras also say one thing.

ਦਸ ਅਸਟੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਏਕੋ ਕਹਿਆ
दस असटी मिलि एको कहिआ ॥
Ḏas astī mil eko kahi▫ā.
The eighteen Puraanas all speak of the One God.

ਤਾ ਭੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਭੇਦੁ ਲਹਿਆ ॥੧॥
ता भी जोगी भेदु न लहिआ ॥१॥
Ŧā bẖī jogī bẖeḏ na lahi▫ā. ||1||
Even so, Yogi, you do not understand this mystery. ||1||

ਕਿੰਕੁਰੀ ਅਨੂਪ ਵਾਜੈ
किंकुरी अनूप वाजै ॥
Kinkurī anūp vājai.
The celestial harp plays the incomparable melody,

ਜੋਗੀਆ ਮਤਵਾਰੋ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जोगीआ मतवारो रे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jogī▫ā maṯvāro re. ||1|| rahā▫o.
but in your intoxication, you do not hear it, O Yogi. ||1||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਤ ਕਾ ਖੇੜਾ
प्रथमे वसिआ सत का खेड़ा ॥
Parathme vasi▫ā saṯ kā kẖeṛā.
In the first age, the Golden Age, the village of truth was inhabited.

ਤ੍ਰਿਤੀਏ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਭਇਆ ਦੁਤੇੜਾ
त्रितीए महि किछु भइआ दुतेड़ा ॥
Ŧariṯī▫e mėh kicẖẖ bẖa▫i▫ā ḏuṯeṛā.
In the Silver Age of Traytaa Yuga, things began to decline.

ਦੁਤੀਆ ਅਰਧੋ ਅਰਧਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ
दुतीआ अरधो अरधि समाइआ ॥
Ḏuṯī▫ā arḏẖo araḏẖ samā▫i▫ā.
In the Brass Age of Dwaapur Yuga, half of it was gone.

ਏਕੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
एकु रहिआ ता एकु दिखाइआ ॥२॥
Ėk rahi▫ā ṯā ek ḏikẖā▫i▫ā. ||2||
Now, only one leg of Truth remains, and the One Lord is revealed. ||2||

ਏਕੈ ਸੂਤਿ ਪਰੋਏ ਮਣੀਏ
एकै सूति परोए मणीए ॥
Ėkai sūṯ paro▫e maṇī▫e.
The beads are strung upon the one thread.

ਗਾਠੀ ਭਿਨਿ ਭਿਨਿ ਭਿਨਿ ਭਿਨਿ ਤਣੀਏ
गाठी भिनि भिनि भिनि भिनि तणीए ॥
Gāṯẖī bẖin bẖin bẖin bẖin ṯaṇī▫e.
By means of many, various, diverse knots, they are tied, and kept separate on the string.

ਫਿਰਤੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਾਇ
फिरती माला बहु बिधि भाइ ॥
Firṯī mālā baho biḏẖ bẖā▫e.
The beads of the mala are lovingly chanted upon in many ways.

ਖਿੰਚਿਆ ਸੂਤੁ ਆਈ ਥਾਇ ॥੩॥
खिंचिआ सूतु त आई थाइ ॥३॥
Kẖincẖi▫ā sūṯ ṯa ā▫ī thā▫e. ||3||
When the thread is pulled out, the beads come together in one place. ||3||

ਚਹੁ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੈ ਮਟੁ ਹੈ ਕੀਆ
चहु महि एकै मटु है कीआ ॥
Cẖahu mėh ekai mat hai kī▫ā.
Throughout the four ages, the One Lord made the body His temple.

ਤਹ ਬਿਖੜੇ ਥਾਨ ਅਨਿਕ ਖਿੜਕੀਆ
तह बिखड़े थान अनिक खिड़कीआ ॥
Ŧah bikẖ▫ṛe thān anik kẖiṛkī▫ā.
It is a treacherous place, with several windows.

ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਆਇਆ
खोजत खोजत दुआरे आइआ ॥
Kẖojaṯ kẖojaṯ ḏu▫āre ā▫i▫ā.
Searching and searching, one comes to the Lord's door.

ਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋਗੀ ਮਹਲੁ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥
ता नानक जोगी महलु घरु पाइआ ॥४॥
Ŧā Nānak jogī mahal gẖar pā▫i▫ā. ||4||
Then, O Nanak, the Yogi attains a home in the Mansion of the Lord's Presence. ||4||

ਇਉ ਕਿੰਕੁਰੀ ਆਨੂਪ ਵਾਜੈ
इउ किंकुरी आनूप वाजै ॥
I▫o kinkurī ānūp vājai.
Thus, the celestial harp plays the incomparable melody;

ਸੁਣਿ ਜੋਗੀ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਮੀਠੀ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥੧੨॥
सुणि जोगी कै मनि मीठी लागै ॥१॥ रहाउ दूजा ॥१॥१२॥
Suṇ jogī kai man mīṯẖī lāgai. ||1|| rahā▫o ḏūjā. ||1||12||
hearing it, the Yogi's mind finds it sweet. ||1||Second Pause||1||12||

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ
रामकली महला ५ ॥
Rāmkalī mėhlā 5.
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਤਾਗਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਾਈ ਥਿਗਲੀ
तागा करि कै लाई थिगली ॥
Ŧāgā kar kai lā▫ī thiglī.
The body is a patch-work of threads.

ਲਉ ਨਾੜੀ ਸੂਆ ਹੈ ਅਸਤੀ
लउ नाड़ी सूआ है असती ॥
La▫o nāṛī sū▫ā hai asṯī.
The muscles are stitched together with the needles of the bones.

ਅੰਭੈ ਕਾ ਕਰਿ ਡੰਡਾ ਧਰਿਆ
अम्भै का करि डंडा धरिआ ॥
Ambẖai kā kar dandā ḏẖari▫ā.
The Lord has erected a pillar of water.

ਕਿਆ ਤੂ ਜੋਗੀ ਗਰਬਹਿ ਪਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
किआ तू जोगी गरबहि परिआ ॥१॥
Ki▫ā ṯū jogī garbėh pari▫ā. ||1||
O Yogi, why are you so proud? ||1||

ਜਪਿ ਨਾਥੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਾਈ
जपि नाथु दिनु रैनाई ॥
Jap nāth ḏin rainā▫ī.
Meditate on your Lord Master, day and night.

ਤੇਰੀ ਖਿੰਥਾ ਦੋ ਦਿਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
तेरी खिंथा दो दिहाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧerī kẖinthā ḏo ḏihā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The patched coat of the body shall last for only a few days. ||1||Pause||

ਗਹਰੀ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਲਾਇ ਬੈਠਾ ਤਾੜੀ
गहरी बिभूत लाइ बैठा ताड़ी ॥
Gahrī bibẖūṯ lā▫e baiṯẖā ṯāṛī.
Smearing ashes on your body, you sit in a deep meditative trance.

ਮੇਰੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਾ ਧਾਰੀ
मेरी तेरी मुंद्रा धारी ॥
Merī ṯerī munḏrā ḏẖārī.
You wear the ear-rings of 'mine and yours'.

ਮਾਗਹਿ ਟੂਕਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਪਾਵੈ
मागहि टूका त्रिपति न पावै ॥
Māgėh tūkā ṯaripaṯ na pāvai.
You beg for bread, but you are not satisfied.

ਨਾਥੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਲਾਜ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥
नाथु छोडि जाचहि लाज न आवै ॥२॥
Nāth cẖẖod jācẖėh lāj na āvai. ||2||
Abandoning your Lord Master, you beg from others; you should feel ashamed. ||2||

ਚਲ ਚਿਤ ਜੋਗੀ ਆਸਣੁ ਤੇਰਾ
चल चित जोगी आसणु तेरा ॥
Cẖal cẖiṯ jogī āsaṇ ṯerā.
Your consciousness is restless, Yogi, as you sit in your Yogic postures.

ਸਿੰਙੀ ਵਾਜੈ ਨਿਤ ਉਦਾਸੇਰਾ
सिंङी वाजै नित उदासेरा ॥
Sińī vājai niṯ uḏāserā.
You blow your horn, but still feel sad.

ਗੁਰ ਗੋਰਖ ਕੀ ਤੈ ਬੂਝ ਪਾਈ
गुर गोरख की तै बूझ न पाई ॥
Gur gorakẖ kī ṯai būjẖ na pā▫ī.
You do not understand Gorakh, your guru.

ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਗੀ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
फिरि फिरि जोगी आवै जाई ॥३॥
Fir fir jogī āvai jā▫ī. ||3||
Again and again, Yogi, you come and go. ||3||

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹੋਆ ਨਾਥੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ
जिस नो होआ नाथु क्रिपाला ॥
Jis no ho▫ā nāth kirpālā.
He, unto whom the Master shows Mercy -

ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ
रहरासि हमारी गुर गोपाला ॥
Rahrās hamārī gur gopālā.
unto Him, the Guru, the Lord of the World, I offer my prayer.

ਨਾਮੈ ਖਿੰਥਾ ਨਾਮੈ ਬਸਤਰੁ
नामै खिंथा नामै बसतरु ॥
Nāmai kẖinthā nāmai basṯar.
One who has the Name as his patched coat, and the Name as his robe,

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋਗੀ ਹੋਆ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ॥੪॥
जन नानक जोगी होआ असथिरु ॥४॥
Jan Nānak jogī ho▫ā asthir. ||4||
O servant Nanak, such a Yogi is steady and stable. ||4||

ਇਉ ਜਪਿਆ ਨਾਥੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਾਈ
इउ जपिआ नाथु दिनु रैनाई ॥
I▫o japi▫ā nāth ḏin rainā▫ī.
One who meditates on the Master in this way, night and day,

ਹੁਣਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਸਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੨॥੧੩॥
हुणि पाइआ गुरु गोसाई ॥१॥ रहाउ दूजा ॥२॥१३॥
Huṇ pā▫i▫ā gur gosā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o ḏūjā. ||2||13||
finds the Guru, the Lord of the World, in this life. ||1||Second Pause||2||13||

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ
रामकली महला ५ ॥
Rāmkalī mėhlā 5.
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸੋਈ
करन करावन सोई ॥
Karan karāvan so▫ī.
He is the Creator, the Cause of causes;

ਆਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਕੋਈ
आन न दीसै कोई ॥
Ān na ḏīsai ko▫ī.
I do not see any other at all.

ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ
ठाकुरु मेरा सुघड़ु सुजाना ॥
Ŧẖākur merā sugẖaṛ sujānā.
My Lord and Master is wise and all-knowing.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
गुरमुखि मिलिआ रंगु माना ॥१॥
Gurmukẖ mili▫ā rang mānā. ||1||
Meeting with the Gurmukh, I enjoy His Love. ||1||

ਐਸੋ ਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ
ऐसो रे हरि रसु मीठा ॥
Aiso re har ras mīṯẖā.
Such is the sweet, subtle essence of the Lord.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
गुरमुखि किनै विरलै डीठा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gurmukẖ kinai virlai dīṯẖā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
How rare are those who, as Gurmukh, taste it. ||1||Pause||

ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੋਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ
निरमल जोति अम्रितु हरि नाम ॥
Nirmal joṯ amriṯ har nām.
The Light of the Ambrosial Name of the Lord is immaculate and pure.
