ਮਿਲੁ ਮਿਲੁ ਸਖੀ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਲੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਧੀਰ ॥੩॥
मिलु मिलु सखी गुण कहु मेरे प्रभ के ले सतिगुर की मति धीर ॥३॥
Mil mil sakẖī guṇ kaho mere parabẖ ke le saṯgur kī maṯ ḏẖīr. ||3||
Come, and join together, O my companions; let's sing the Glorious Praises of my God, and follow the comforting advice of the True Guru.. ||3||

ਸਭੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਭੁਗਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सभु करता सभु भुगता ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sabẖ karṯā sabẖ bẖugṯā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He is the Creator of all, He is the Enjoyer of all. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸੁਨਤੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੇਖਤ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
सुनतो करता पेखत करता ॥
Sunṯo karṯā pekẖaṯ karṯā.
The Creator listens, and the Creator sees.
|
ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੋ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
अद्रिसटो करता द्रिसटो करता ॥
Aḏristo karṯā ḏaristo karṯā.
The Creator is unseen, and the Creator is seen.

ਓਪਤਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਪਰਲਉ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
ओपति करता परलउ करता ॥
Opaṯ karṯā parla▫o karṯā.
The Creator forms, and the Creator destroys.
|
ਬਿਆਪਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਅਲਿਪਤੋ ਕਰਤਾ ॥੧॥
बिआपत करता अलिपतो करता ॥१॥
Bi▫āpaṯ karṯā alipaṯo karṯā. ||1||
The Creator touches, and the Creator is detached. ||1||
|
ਬਕਤੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਬੂਝਤ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
बकतो करता बूझत करता ॥
Bakṯo karṯā būjẖaṯ karṯā.
The Creator is the One who speaks, and the Creator is the One who understands.
|
ਆਵਤੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਜਾਤੁ ਭੀ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
आवतु करता जातु भी करता ॥
Āvaṯ karṯā jāṯ bẖī karṯā.
The Creator comes, and the Creator also goes.
|
ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਰਗੁਨ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
निरगुन करता सरगुन करता ॥
Nirgun karṯā sargun karṯā.
The Creator is absolute and without qualities; the Creator is related, with the most excellent qualities.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਮਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾ ॥੨॥੧॥
गुर प्रसादि नानक समद्रिसटा ॥२॥१॥
Gur parsāḏ Nānak samḏristā. ||2||1||
By Guru's Grace, Nanak looks upon all the same. ||2||1||

ਫਾਕਿਓ ਮੀਨ ਕਪਿਕ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਤੂ ਉਰਝਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਕੁਸੰਭਾਇਲੇ ॥
फाकिओ मीन कपिक की निआई तू उरझि रहिओ कुस्मभाइले ॥
Fāki▫o mīn kapik kī ni▫ā▫ī ṯū urajẖ rahi▫o kasumbẖā▫ile.
You are caught, like the fish and the monkey; you are entangled in the transitory world.

ਪਗ ਧਾਰਹਿ ਸਾਸੁ ਲੇਖੈ ਲੈ ਤਉ ਉਧਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਲੇ ॥੧॥
पग धारहि सासु लेखै लै तउ उधरहि हरि गुण गाइले ॥१॥
Pag ḏẖārėh sās lekẖai lai ṯa▫o uḏẖrahi har guṇ gā▫ile. ||1||
Your foot-steps and your breaths are numbered; only by singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord will you be saved. ||1||
|
ਮਨ ਸਮਝੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਆਵਾਇਲੇ ॥
मन समझु छोडि आवाइले ॥
Man samajẖ cẖẖod āvā▫ile.
O mind, reform yourself, and forsake your aimless wandering.
|
ਅਪਨੇ ਰਹਨ ਕਉ ਠਉਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਕਾਏ ਪਰ ਕੈ ਜਾਇਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
अपने रहन कउ ठउरु न पावहि काए पर कै जाइले ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Apne rahan ka▫o ṯẖa▫ur na pāvahi kā▫e par kai jā▫ile. ||1|| rahā▫o.
You have found no place of rest for yourself; so why do you try to teach others? ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਉ ਮੈਗਲੁ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਰਸਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਓ ਤੂ ਲਾਗਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਕੁਟੰਬਾਇਲੇ ॥
जिउ मैगलु इंद्री रसि प्रेरिओ तू लागि परिओ कुट्मबाइले ॥
Ji▫o maigal inḏrī ras pareri▫o ṯū lāg pari▫o kutambā▫ile.
Like the elephant, driven by sexual desire, you are attached to your family.

ਜਿਉ ਪੰਖੀ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਇ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਿਛੁਰੈ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਲੇ ॥੨॥
जिउ पंखी इकत्र होइ फिरि बिछुरै थिरु संगति हरि हरि धिआइले ॥२॥
Ji▫o pankẖī ikaṯar ho▫e fir bicẖẖurai thir sangaṯ har har ḏẖi▫ā▫ile. ||2||
People are like birds that come together, and fly apart again; you shall become stable and steady, only when you meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, in the Company of the Holy. ||2||

ਜੈਸੇ ਮੀਨੁ ਰਸਨ ਸਾਦਿ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਓਹੁ ਮੂਠੌ ਮੂੜ ਲੋਭਾਇਲੇ ॥
जैसे मीनु रसन सादि बिनसिओ ओहु मूठौ मूड़ लोभाइले ॥
Jaise mīn rasan sāḏ binsi▫o oh mūṯẖou mūṛ lobẖā▫ile.
Like the fish, which perishes because of its desire to taste, the fool is ruined by his greed.

ਤੂ ਹੋਆ ਪੰਚ ਵਾਸਿ ਵੈਰੀ ਕੈ ਛੂਟਹਿ ਪਰੁ ਸਰਨਾਇਲੇ ॥੩॥
तू होआ पंच वासि वैरी कै छूटहि परु सरनाइले ॥३॥
Ŧū ho▫ā pancẖ vās vairī kai cẖẖūtėh par sarnā▫ile. ||3||
You have fallen under the power of the five thieves; escape is only possible in the Sanctuary of the Lord. ||3||
|
ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਸਭਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤਾਇਲੇ ॥
होहु क्रिपाल दीन दुख भंजन सभि तुम्हरे जीअ जंताइले ॥
Hohu kirpāl ḏīn ḏukẖ bẖanjan sabẖ ṯumĥre jī▫a janṯā▫ile.
Be Merciful to me, O Destroyer of the pains of the meek; all beings and creatures belong to You.

ਪਾਵਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖਾ ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਦਸਾਇਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
पावउ दानु सदा दरसु पेखा मिलु नानक दास दसाइले ॥४॥२॥
Pāva▫o ḏān saḏā ḏaras pekẖā mil Nānak ḏās ḏasā▫ile. ||4||2||
May I obtain the gift of always seeing the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; meeting with You, Nanak is the slave of Your slaves. ||4||2||

Jī▫a parān kī▫e jin sāj.
He fashioned the soul and the breath of life,
|
ਮਾਟੀ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਖੀ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ॥
माटी महि जोति रखी निवाजि ॥
Mātī mėh joṯ rakẖī nivāj.
and infused His Light into the dust;
|
ਬਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਭੋਜਨ ਭੋਗਾਇ ॥
बरतन कउ सभु किछु भोजन भोगाइ ॥
Barṯan ka▫o sabẖ kicẖẖ bẖojan bẖogā▫e.
He exalted you and gave you everything to use, and food to eat and enjoy -
|
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਜਿ ਮੂੜੇ ਕਤ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
सो प्रभु तजि मूड़े कत जाइ ॥१॥
So parabẖ ṯaj mūṛe kaṯ jā▫e. ||1||
how can you forsake that God, you fool! Where else will you go? ||1||
|
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਸੇਵ ॥
पारब्रहम की लागउ सेव ॥
Pārbarahm kī lāga▫o sev.
Commit yourself to the service of the Transcendent Lord.
|
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਝੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
गुर ते सुझै निरंजन देव ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur ṯe sujẖai niranjan ḏev. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Through the Guru, one understands the Immaculate, Divine Lord. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਰੰਗ ਅਨਿਕ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥
जिनि कीए रंग अनिक परकार ॥
Jin kī▫e rang anik parkār.
He created plays and dramas of all sorts;
|
ਓਪਤਿ ਪਰਲਉ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਝਾਰ ॥
ओपति परलउ निमख मझार ॥
Opaṯ parla▫o nimakẖ majẖār.
He creates and destroys in an instant;
|
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
जा की गति मिति कही न जाइ ॥
Jā kī gaṯ miṯ kahī na jā▫e.
His state and condition cannot be described.
|
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥
सो प्रभु मन मेरे सदा धिआइ ॥२॥
So parabẖ man mere saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫e. ||2||
Meditate forever on that God, O my mind. ||2||
|
ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਧਨੀ ॥
आइ न जावै निहचलु धनी ॥
Ā▫e na jāvai nihcẖal ḏẖanī.
The unchanging Lord does not come or go.
|
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਨਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਕੇਤਕ ਗਨੀ ॥
बेअंत गुना ता के केतक गनी ॥
Be▫anṯ gunā ṯā ke keṯak ganī.
His Glorious Virtues are infinite; how many of them can I count?
