ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੁਏ ਅਪਣਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਖੋਇ
मनमुख मुए अपणा जनमु खोइ ॥
Manmukẖ mu▫e apṇā janam kẖo▫e.
The self-willed manmukhs waste away their lives, and die.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ
सतिगुरु सेवे भरमु चुकाए ॥
Saṯgur seve bẖaram cẖukā▫e.
Serving the True Guru, doubt is driven away.

ਘਰ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੯॥
घर ही अंदरि सचु महलु पाए ॥९॥
Gẖar hī anḏar sacẖ mahal pā▫e. ||9||
Deep within the home of the heart, one finds the Mansion of the True Lord's Presence. ||9||

ਆਪੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ
आपे पूरा करे सु होइ ॥
Āpe pūrā kare so ho▫e.
Whatever the Perfect Lord does, that alone happens.

ਏਹਿ ਥਿਤੀ ਵਾਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੋਇ
एहि थिती वार दूजा दोइ ॥
Ėhi thiṯī vār ḏūjā ḏo▫e.
Concern with these omens and days leads only to duality.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਗੁਬਾਰੁ
सतिगुर बाझहु अंधु गुबारु ॥
Saṯgur bājẖahu anḏẖ gubār.
Without the True Guru, there is only pitch darkness.

ਥਿਤੀ ਵਾਰ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਮੁਗਧ ਗਵਾਰ
थिती वार सेवहि मुगध गवार ॥
Thiṯī vār sevėh mugaḏẖ gavār.
Only idiots and fools worry about these omens and days.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ
नानक गुरमुखि बूझै सोझी पाइ ॥
Nānak gurmukẖ būjẖai sojẖī pā▫e.
O Nanak, the Gurmukh obtains understanding and realization;

ਇਕਤੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧੦॥੨॥
इकतु नामि सदा रहिआ समाइ ॥१०॥२॥
Ikaṯ nām saḏā rahi▫ā samā▫e. ||10||2||
he remains forever merged in the Name of the One Lord. ||10||2||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ਛੰਤ ਦਖਣੀ
बिलावलु महला १ छंत दखणी
Bilāval mėhlā 1 cẖẖanṯ ḏakẖ▫ṇī
Bilaaval, First Mehl, Chhant, Dakhnee:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮੁੰਧ ਨਵੇਲੜੀਆ ਗੋਇਲਿ ਆਈ ਰਾਮ
मुंध नवेलड़ीआ गोइलि आई राम ॥
Munḏẖ navelṛī▫ā go▫il ā▫ī rām.
The young, innocent soul-bride has come to the pasture lands of the world.

ਮਟੁਕੀ ਡਾਰਿ ਧਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ਰਾਮ
मटुकी डारि धरी हरि लिव लाई राम ॥
Matukī dār ḏẖarī har liv lā▫ī rām.
Laying aside her pitcher of worldly concern, she lovingly attunes herself to her Lord.

ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਹੀ ਗੋਇਲਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀਆ
लिव लाइ हरि सिउ रही गोइलि सहजि सबदि सीगारीआ ॥
Liv lā▫e har si▫o rahī go▫il sahj sabaḏ sīgārī▫ā.
She remains lovingly absorbed in the pasture of the Lord, automatically embellished with the Word of the Shabad.

ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸਾਚਿ ਪਿਆਰੀਆ
कर जोड़ि गुर पहि करि बिनंती मिलहु साचि पिआरीआ ॥
Kar joṛ gur pėh kar binanṯī milhu sācẖ pi▫ārī▫ā.
With her palms pressed together, she prays to the Guru, to unite her with her True Beloved Lord.

ਧਨ ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿਆ
धन भाइ भगती देखि प्रीतम काम क्रोधु निवारिआ ॥
Ḏẖan bẖā▫e bẖagṯī ḏekẖ parīṯam kām kroḏẖ nivāri▫ā.
Seeing His bride's loving devotion, the Beloved Lord eradicates unfulfilled sexual desire and unresolved anger.

ਨਾਨਕ ਮੁੰਧ ਨਵੇਲ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਾਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
नानक मुंध नवेल सुंदरि देखि पिरु साधारिआ ॥१॥
Nānak munḏẖ navel sunḏar ḏekẖ pir sāḏẖāri▫ā. ||1||
O Nanak, the young, innocent bride is so beautiful; seeing her Husband Lord, she is comforted. ||1||

ਸਚਿ ਨਵੇਲੜੀਏ ਜੋਬਨਿ ਬਾਲੀ ਰਾਮ
सचि नवेलड़ीए जोबनि बाली राम ॥
Sacẖ navelṛī▫e joban bālī rām.
Truthfully, O young soul-bride, your youth keeps you innocent.

ਆਉ ਜਾਉ ਕਹੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਸਹ ਨਾਲੀ ਰਾਮ
आउ न जाउ कही अपने सह नाली राम ॥
Ā▫o na jā▫o kahī apne sah nālī rām.
Do not come and go anywhere; stay with your Husband Lord.

ਨਾਹ ਅਪਨੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਦਾਸੀ ਮੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਾਵਏ
नाह अपने संगि दासी मै भगति हरि की भावए ॥
Nāh apne sang ḏāsī mai bẖagaṯ har kī bẖāv▫e.
I will stay with my Husband Lord; I am His hand-maiden. Devotional worship to the Lord is pleasing to me.

ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥੀਐ ਸਹਜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਏ
अगाधि बोधि अकथु कथीऐ सहजि प्रभ गुण गावए ॥
Agāḏẖ boḏẖ akath kathī▫ai sahj parabẖ guṇ gāv▫e.
I know the unknowable, and speak the unspoken; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Celestial Lord God.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਾਲ ਰਸੀਆ ਰਵੈ ਸਾਚਿ ਪਿਆਰੀਆ
राम नाम रसाल रसीआ रवै साचि पिआरीआ ॥
Rām nām rasāl rasī▫ā ravai sācẖ pi▫ārī▫ā.
She who chants and savors the taste of the Lord's Name is loved by the True Lord.

ਗੁਰਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਦੀਆ ਦਾਨੁ ਕੀਆ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਆ ॥੨॥
गुरि सबदु दीआ दानु कीआ नानका वीचारीआ ॥२॥
Gur sabaḏ ḏī▫ā ḏān kī▫ā nānkā vīcẖārī▫ā. ||2||
The Guru grants her the gift of the Shabad; O Nanak, she contemplates and reflects upon it. ||2||

ਸ੍ਰੀਧਰ ਮੋਹਿਅੜੀ ਪਿਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੂਤੀ ਰਾਮ
स्रीधर मोहिअड़ी पिर संगि सूती राम ॥
Sarīḏẖar mohi▫aṛī pir sang sūṯī rām.
She who is fascinated by the Supreme Lord, sleeps with her Husband Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ਚਲੋ ਸਾਚਿ ਸੰਗੂਤੀ ਰਾਮ
गुर कै भाइ चलो साचि संगूती राम ॥
Gur kai bẖā▫e cẖalo sācẖ sangūṯī rām.
She walks in harmony with the Guru's Will, attuned to the Lord.

ਧਨ ਸਾਚਿ ਸੰਗੂਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੂਤੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ
धन साचि संगूती हरि संगि सूती संगि सखी सहेलीआ ॥
Ḏẖan sācẖ sangūṯī har sang sūṯī sang sakẖī sahelī▫ā.
The soul-bride is attuned to the Truth, and sleeps with the Lord, along with her companions and sister soul-brides.

ਇਕ ਭਾਇ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਮ ਮੇਲੀਆ
इक भाइ इक मनि नामु वसिआ सतिगुरू हम मेलीआ ॥
Ik bẖā▫e ik man nām vasi▫ā saṯgurū ham melī▫ā.
Loving the One Lord, with one-pointed mind, the Naam dwells within; I am united with the True Guru.

ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਘੜੀ ਚਸਾ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੋ
दिनु रैणि घड़ी न चसा विसरै सासि सासि निरंजनो ॥
Ḏin raiṇ gẖaṛī na cẖasā visrai sās sās niranjano.
Day and night, with each and every breath, I do not forget the Immaculate Lord, for a moment, even for an instant.

ਸਬਦਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗਾਇ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਭਉ ਭੰਜਨੋ ॥੩॥
सबदि जोति जगाइ दीपकु नानका भउ भंजनो ॥३॥
Sabaḏ joṯ jagā▫e ḏīpak nānkā bẖa▫o bẖanjno. ||3||
So light the lamp of the Shabad, O Nanak, and burn away your fear. ||3||

ਜੋਤਿ ਸਬਾਇੜੀਏ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ
जोति सबाइड़ीए त्रिभवण सारे राम ॥
Joṯ sabā▫iṛī▫e ṯaribẖavaṇ sāre rām.
O soul-bride, the Lord's Light pervades all the three worlds.

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ
घटि घटि रवि रहिआ अलख अपारे राम ॥
Gẖat gẖat rav rahi▫ā alakẖ apāre rām.
He is pervading each and every heart, the Invisible and Infinite Lord.

ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਆਪੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਈਐ
अलख अपार अपारु साचा आपु मारि मिलाईऐ ॥
Alakẖ apār apār sācẖā āp mār milā▫ī▫ai.
He is Invisible and Infinite, Infinite and True; subduing his self-conceit, one meets Him.

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਮਤਾ ਲੋਭੁ ਜਾਲਹੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਚੁਕਾਈਐ
हउमै ममता लोभु जालहु सबदि मैलु चुकाईऐ ॥
Ha▫umai mamṯā lobẖ jālahu sabaḏ mail cẖukẖā▫ī▫ai.
So burn away your egotistical pride, attachment and greed, with the Word of the Shabad; wash away your filth.

ਦਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਕਰੀ ਭਾਣੈ ਤਾਰਿ ਤਾਰਣਹਾਰਿਆ
दरि जाइ दरसनु करी भाणै तारि तारणहारिआ ॥
Ḏar jā▫e ḏarsan karī bẖāṇai ṯār ṯāraṇhāri▫ā.
When you go to the Lord's Door, you shall receive the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; by His Will, the Savior will carry you across and save you.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਚਾਖਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
हरि नामु अम्रितु चाखि त्रिपती नानका उर धारिआ ॥४॥१॥
Har nām amriṯ cẖākẖ ṯaripṯī nānkā ur ḏẖāri▫ā. ||4||1||
Tasting the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name, the soul-bride is satisfied; O Nanak, she enshrines Him in her heart. ||4||1||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बिलावलु महला १ ॥
Bilāval mėhlā 1.
Bilaaval, First Mehl:

ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਘਣਾ ਸਾਚਿ ਵਿਗਾਸੀ ਰਾਮ
मै मनि चाउ घणा साचि विगासी राम ॥
Mai man cẖā▫o gẖaṇā sācẖ vigāsī rām.
My mind is filled with such a great joy; I have blossomed forth in Truth.

ਮੋਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਰਾਮ
मोही प्रेम पिरे प्रभि अबिनासी राम ॥
Mohī parem pire parabẖ abẖināsī rām.
I am enticed by the love of my Husband Lord, the Eternal, Imperishable Lord God.

ਅਵਿਗਤੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਥੁ ਨਾਥਹ ਤਿਸੈ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਥੀਐ
अविगतो हरि नाथु नाथह तिसै भावै सो थीऐ ॥
Avigaṯo har nāth nāthah ṯisai bẖāvai so thī▫ai.
The Lord is everlasting, the Master of masters. Whatever He wills, happens.

ਕਿਰਪਾਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਐ
किरपालु सदा दइआलु दाता जीआ अंदरि तूं जीऐ ॥
Kirpāl saḏā ḏa▫i▫āl ḏāṯā jī▫ā anḏar ṯūʼn jī▫ai.
O Great Giver, You are always kind and compassionate. You infuse life into all living beings.
