ਤੰਤੁ ਮੰਤੁ ਨਹ ਜੋਹਈ ਤਿਤੁ ਚਾਖੁ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
तंतु मंतु नह जोहई तितु चाखु न लागै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧanṯ manṯ nah joh▫ī ṯiṯ cẖākẖ na lāgai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He is not affected by charms and spells, nor is he harmed by the evil eye. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਦ ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਅਨਰਾਗੈ
काम क्रोध मद मान मोह बिनसे अनरागै ॥
Kām kroḏẖ maḏ mān moh binse anrāgai.
Sexual desire, anger, the intoxication of egotism and emotional attachment are dispelled, by loving devotion.

ਆਨੰਦ ਮਗਨ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਾਗੈ ॥੨॥੪॥੬੮॥
आनंद मगन रसि राम रंगि नानक सरनागै ॥२॥४॥६८॥
Ānanḏ magan ras rām rang Nānak sarnāgai. ||2||4||68||
One who enters the Lord's Sanctuary, O Nanak, remains merged in ecstasy in the subtle essence of the Lord's Love. ||2||4||68||

बिलावलु महला ५ ॥
Bilāval mėhlā 5.
Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਜੀਅ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਵਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੈ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਕਰਨਾ
जीअ जुगति वसि प्रभू कै जो कहै सु करना ॥
Jī▫a jugaṯ vas parabẖū kai jo kahai so karnā.
The living creatures and their ways are in God's power. Whatever He says, they do.

ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰਾਇ ਭਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
भए प्रसंन गोपाल राइ भउ किछु नही करना ॥१॥
Bẖa▫e parsann gopāl rā▫e bẖa▫o kicẖẖ nahī karnā. ||1||
When the Sovereign Lord of the Universe is pleased, there is nothing at all to fear. ||1||

ਦੂਖੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਕਦੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ
दूखु न लागै कदे तुधु पारब्रहमु चितारे ॥
Ḏūkẖ na lāgai kaḏe ṯuḏẖ pārbarahm cẖiṯāre.
Pain shall never afflict you, if you remember the Supreme Lord God.

ਜਮਕੰਕਰੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਆਵਈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जमकंकरु नेड़ि न आवई गुरसिख पिआरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jamkankar neṛ na āvī gursikẖ pi▫āre. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Messenger of Death does not even approach the beloved Sikhs of the Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ
करण कारण समरथु है तिसु बिनु नही होरु ॥
Karaṇ kāraṇ samrath hai ṯis bin nahī hor.
The All-powerful Lord is the Cause of causes; there is no other than Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੨॥੫॥੬੯॥
नानक प्रभ सरणागती साचा मनि जोरु ॥२॥५॥६९॥
Nānak parabẖ sarṇāgaṯī sācẖā man jor. ||2||5||69||
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of God; the True Lord has given strength to the mind. ||2||5||69||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बिलावलु महला ५ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਨਾ ਨਾਠਾ ਦੁਖ ਠਾਉ
सिमरि सिमरि प्रभु आपना नाठा दुख ठाउ ॥
Simar simar parabẖ āpnā nāṯẖā ḏukẖ ṯẖā▫o.
Remembering, remembering my God in meditation, the house of pain is removed.

ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਪਾਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਧਾਉ ॥੧॥
बिस्राम पाए मिलि साधसंगि ता ते बहुड़ि न धाउ ॥१॥
Bisrām pā▫e mil sāḏẖsang ṯā ṯe bahuṛ na ḏẖā▫o. ||1||
Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have found peace and tranquility; I shall not wander away from there again. ||1||

ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਨੇ ਚਰਨਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ
बलिहारी गुर आपने चरनन्ह बलि जाउ ॥
Balihārī gur āpne cẖarnanĥ bal jā▫o.
I am devoted to my Guru; I am a sacrifice to His Feet.

ਅਨਦ ਸੂਖ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਨੇ ਪੇਖਤ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
अनद सूख मंगल बने पेखत गुन गाउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Anaḏ sūkẖ mangal bane pekẖaṯ gun gā▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I am blessed with ecstasy, peace and happiness, gazing upon the Guru, and singing the Lord's Glorious Praises. ||1||Pause||

ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਰਾਗ ਨਾਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਬਨਿਓ ਸੁਆਉ
कथा कीरतनु राग नाद धुनि इहु बनिओ सुआउ ॥
Kathā kīrṯan rāg nāḏ ḏẖun ih bani▫o su▫ā▫o.
This is my life's purpose, to sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, and listen to the vibrations of the sound current of the Naad.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਉ ॥੨॥੬॥੭੦॥
नानक प्रभ सुप्रसंन भए बांछत फल पाउ ॥२॥६॥७०॥
Nānak parabẖ suparsan bẖa▫e bāʼncẖẖaṯ fal pā▫o. ||2||6||70||
O Nanak, God is totally pleased with me; I have obtained the fruits of my desires. ||2||6||70||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बिलावलु महला ५ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਰਿਦ ਕਰਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ
दास तेरे की बेनती रिद करि परगासु ॥
Ḏās ṯere kī benṯī riḏ kar pargās.
This is the prayer of Your slave: please enlighten my heart.

ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦੋਖਨ ਕੋ ਨਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
तुम्हरी क्रिपा ते पारब्रहम दोखन को नासु ॥१॥
Ŧumĥrī kirpā ṯe pārbarahm ḏokẖan ko nās. ||1||
By Your Mercy, O Supreme Lord God, please erase my sins. ||1||

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੁਰਖ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ
चरन कमल का आसरा प्रभ पुरख गुणतासु ॥
Cẖaran kamal kā āsrā parabẖ purakẖ guṇṯās.
I take the Support of Your Lotus Feet, O God, Primal Lord, treasure of virtue.

ਕੀਰਤਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਰਹਉ ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਘਟਿ ਸਾਸੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
कीरतन नामु सिमरत रहउ जब लगु घटि सासु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kīrṯan nām simraṯ raha▫o jab lag gẖat sās. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I shall meditate in remembrance on the Praises of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, as long as there is breath in my body. ||1||Pause||

ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੰਧਪ ਤੂਹੈ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ
मात पिता बंधप तूहै तू सरब निवासु ॥
Māṯ piṯā banḏẖap ṯūhai ṯū sarab nivās.
You are my mother, father and relative; You are abiding within all.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਾਸੁ ॥੨॥੭॥੭੧॥
नानक प्रभ सरणागती जा को निरमल जासु ॥२॥७॥७१॥
Nānak parabẖ sarṇāgaṯī jā ko nirmal jās. ||2||7||71||
Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of God; His Praise is immaculate and pure. ||2||7||71||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बिलावलु महला ५ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਰਬ ਸਿਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਈਐ ਸਭਿ ਭਲਾ ਮਨਾਵਹਿ
सरब सिधि हरि गाईऐ सभि भला मनावहि ॥
Sarab siḏẖ har gā▫ī▫ai sabẖ bẖalā manāvėh.
All perfect spiritual powers are obtained, when one sings the Lord's Praises; everyone wishes him well.

ਸਾਧੁ ਸਾਧੁ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਹਹਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਦਾਸ ਮਿਲਾਵਹਿ ॥੧॥
साधु साधु मुख ते कहहि सुणि दास मिलावहि ॥१॥
Sāḏẖ sāḏẖ mukẖ ṯe kahėh suṇ ḏās milāvėh. ||1||
Everyone calls him holy and spiritual; hearing of him, the Lord's slaves come to meet him. ||1||

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਰਸ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ
सूख सहज कलिआण रस पूरै गुरि कीन्ह ॥
Sūkẖ sahj kali▫āṇ ras pūrai gur kīnĥ.
The Perfect Guru blesses him with peace, poise, salvation and happiness.

ਜੀਅ ਸਗਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जीअ सगल दइआल भए हरि हरि नामु चीन्ह ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jī▫a sagal ḏa▫i▫āl bẖa▫e har har nām cẖīnĥ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
All living beings become compassionate to him; he remembers the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||

ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰ
पूरि रहिओ सरबत्र महि प्रभ गुणी गहीर ॥
Pūr rahi▫o sarbaṯar mėh parabẖ guṇī gahīr.
He is permeating and pervading everywhere; God is the ocean of virtue.

ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੈ ਪੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਧੀਰ ॥੨॥੮॥੭੨॥
नानक भगत आनंद मै पेखि प्रभ की धीर ॥२॥८॥७२॥
Nānak bẖagaṯ ānanḏ mai pekẖ parabẖ kī ḏẖīr. ||2||8||72||
O Nanak, the devotees are in bliss, gazing upon God's abiding stability. ||2||8||72||

ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਦਾਤਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ
अरदासि सुणी दातारि प्रभि होए किरपाल ॥
Arḏās suṇī ḏāṯār parabẖ ho▫e kirpāl.
God, the Great Giver, has become merciful; He has listened to my prayer.

ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਆ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
राखि लीआ अपना सेवको मुखि निंदक छारु ॥१॥
Rākẖ lī▫ā apnā sevko mukẖ ninḏak cẖẖār. ||1||
He has saved His servant, and put ashes into the mouth of the slanderer. ||1||

ਤੁਝਹਿ ਜੋਹੈ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ਜਨ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਦਾਸ
तुझहि न जोहै को मीत जन तूं गुर का दास ॥
Ŧujẖėh na johai ko mīṯ jan ṯūʼn gur kā ḏās.
No one can threaten you now, O my humble friend, for you are the slave of the Guru.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
पारब्रहमि तू राखिआ दे अपने हाथ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Pārbarahm ṯū rākẖi▫ā ḏe apne hāth. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Supreme Lord God reached out with His Hand and saved you. ||1||Pause||

ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਬੀਆ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ
जीअन का दाता एकु है बीआ नही होरु ॥
Jī▫an kā ḏāṯā ek hai bī▫ā nahī hor.
The One Lord is the Giver of all beings; there is no other at all.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਮੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੨॥੯॥੭੩॥
नानक की बेनंतीआ मै तेरा जोरु ॥२॥९॥७३॥
Nānak kī bananṯī▫ā mai ṯerā jor. ||2||9||73||
Nanak prays, You are my only strength, God. ||2||9||73||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ

ਮੀਤ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਰਾਖੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ
मीत हमारे साजना राखे गोविंद ॥
Mīṯ hamāre sājnā rākẖe govinḏ.
The Lord of the Universe has saved my friends and companions.

ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਿਰਤਕ ਹੋਇ ਗਏ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਹੋਹੁ ਨਿਚਿੰਦ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
निंदक मिरतक होइ गए तुम्ह होहु निचिंद ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ninḏak mirṯak ho▫e ga▫e ṯumĥ hohu nicẖinḏ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The slanderers have died, so do not worry. ||1||Pause||

ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਏ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ
सगल मनोरथ प्रभि कीए भेटे गुरदेव ॥
Sagal manorath parabẖ kī▫e bẖete gurḏev.
God has fulfilled all hopes and desires; I have met the Divine Guru.
