ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਬਸੰਤ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਹ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Ḏẖan so thān basanṯ ḏẖan jah japī▫ai nām.
Blessed is that place, and blessed are those who dwell there, where they chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਅਤਿ ਘਨਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮੁ ॥੩॥
Kathā kīrṯan har aṯ gẖanā sukẖ sahj bisrām. ||3||
The Sermon and the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung there very often; there is peace, poise and tranquility. ||3||
|
ਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਅਨਾਥ ਕੋ ਨਾਥ ॥
Man ṯe kaḏe na vīsrai anāth ko nāth.
In my mind, I never forget the Lord; He is the Master of the masterless.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹਾਥ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੫੯॥
Nānak parabẖ sarṇāgaṯī jā kai sabẖ kicẖẖ hāth. ||4||29||59||
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of God; everything is in His hands. ||4||29||59||

ਜਿਨਿ ਤੂ ਬੰਧਿ ਕਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਫੁਨਿ ਸੁਖ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Jin ṯū banḏẖ kar cẖẖodi▫ā fun sukẖ mėh pā▫i▫ā.
The One who bound you in the womb and then released you, placed you in the world of joy.

ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਚਰਣਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਸੀਤਲ ਹੋਤਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Saḏā simar cẖarṇārbinḏ sīṯal hoṯā▫i▫ā. ||1||
Contemplate His Lotus Feet forever, and you shall be cooled and soothed. ||1||
|
ਜੀਵਤਿਆ ਅਥਵਾ ਮੁਇਆ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
Jīvṯi▫ā athvā mu▫i▫ā kicẖẖ kām na āvai.
In life and in death, this Maya is of no use.

ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹੁ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਕੋਊ ਤਿਸ ਸਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jin ehu racẖan racẖā▫i▫ā ko▫ū ṯis si▫o rang lāvai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He created this creation, but rare are those who enshrine love for Him. ||1||Pause||
|
ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਉਸਨ ਸੀਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੈ ਘਾਮ ਤੇ ਕਾਢੈ ॥
Re parāṇī usan sīṯ karṯā karai gẖām ṯe kādẖai.
O mortal, the Creator Lord made summer and winter; He saves you from the heat.

ਕੀਰੀ ਤੇ ਹਸਤੀ ਕਰੈ ਟੂਟਾ ਲੇ ਗਾਢੈ ॥੨॥
Kīrī ṯe hasṯī karai tūtā le gādẖai. ||2||
From the ant, He makes an elephant; He reunites those who have been separated. ||2||
|
ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਉਤਭੁਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਕਿਰਤਿ ॥
Andaj jeraj seṯaj uṯ▫bẖujā parabẖ kī ih kiraṯ.
Eggs, wombs, sweat and earth - these are God's workshops of creation.

ਕਿਰਤ ਕਮਾਵਨ ਸਰਬ ਫਲ ਰਵੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਤਿ ॥੩॥
Kiraṯ kamāvan sarab fal ravī▫ai har niraṯ. ||3||
It is fruitful for all to practice contemplation of the Lord. ||3||
|
ਹਮ ਤੇ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਵਨਾ ਸਰਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਧ ॥
Ham ṯe kacẖẖū na hovnā saraṇ parabẖ sāḏẖ.
I cannot do anything; O God, I seek the Sanctuary of the Holy.

ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਕੂਪ ਅੰਧ ਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਕਾਢ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੬੦॥
Moh magan kūp anḏẖ ṯe Nānak gur kādẖ. ||4||30||60||
Guru Nanak pulled me up, out of the deep, dark pit, the intoxication of attachment. ||4||30||60||

ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਮੈ ਫਿਰਾ ਖੋਜਉ ਬਨ ਥਾਨ ॥
Kẖojaṯ kẖojaṯ mai firā kẖoja▫o ban thān.
Searching, searching, I wander around searching, in the woods and other places.

ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਐਸੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੧॥
Acẖẖal acẖẖeḏ abẖeḏ parabẖ aise bẖagvān. ||1||
He is undeceivable, imperishable, inscrutable; such is my Lord God. ||1||
|
ਕਬ ਦੇਖਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਨਾ ਆਤਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
Kab ḏekẖ▫a▫u parabẖ āpnā āṯam kai rang.
When shall I behold my God, and delight my soul?
|
ਜਾਗਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਭਲਾ ਬਸੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jāgan ṯe supnā bẖalā basī▫ai parabẖ sang. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Even better than being awake, is the dream in which I dwell with God. ||1||Pause||
|
ਬਰਨ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਨਉ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
Baran āsram sāsṯar sun▫o ḏarsan kī pi▫ās.
Listening to the Shaastras teaching about the four social classes and the four stages of life, I grow thirsty for the Blessed Vision of the Lord.

ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਨ ਪੰਚ ਤਤ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ ॥੨॥
Rūp na rekẖ na pancẖ ṯaṯ ṯẖākur abinās. ||2||
He has no form or outline, and He is not made of the five elements; our Lord and Master is imperishable. ||2||
|
ਓਹੁ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਹਹਿ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜੋਗੀਸੁਰ ॥
Oh sarūp sanṯan kahėh virle jogīsur.
How rare are those Saints and great Yogis, who describe the beautiful form of the Lord.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੇ ਧਨਿ ਧਨਿ ਤੇ ਈਸੁਰ ॥੩॥
Kar kirpā jā ka▫o mile ḏẖan ḏẖan ṯe īsur. ||3||
Blessed, blessed are they, whom the Lord meets in His Mercy. ||3||
|
ਸੋ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਬਾਹਰੇ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਤਹ ਭਰਮਾ ॥
So anṯar so bāhre binse ṯah bẖarmā.
They know that He is deep within, and outside as well; their doubts are dispelled.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮਾ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੬੧॥
Nānak ṯis parabẖ bẖeti▫ā jā ke pūran karmā. ||4||31||61||
O Nanak, God meets those, whose karma is perfect. ||4||31||61||

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਦੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥
Jī▫a janṯ suparsan bẖa▫e ḏekẖ parabẖ parṯāp.
All beings and creatures are totally pleased, gazing on God's glorious radiance.

ਕਰਜੁ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਿ ਆਹਰੁ ਆਪ ॥੧॥
Karaj uṯāri▫ā saṯgurū kar āhar āp. ||1||
The True Guru has paid off my debt; He Himself did it. ||1||
|
ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਨਿਬਹਤ ਰਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਖੂਟ ॥
Kẖāṯ kẖarcẖaṯ nibhaṯ rahai gur sabaḏ akẖūt.
Eating and expending it, it is always available; the Word of the Guru's Shabad is inexhaustible.

ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਸਮਗਰੀ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਤੂਟ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Pūran bẖa▫ī samagrī kabhū nahī ṯūt. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Everything is perfectly arranged; it is never exhausted. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਆਰਾਧਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਧਿ ਆਪਾਰ ॥
Sāḏẖsang ārāḏẖnā har niḏẖ āpār.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I worship and adore the Lord, the infinite treasure.

ਧਰਮ ਅਰਥ ਅਰੁ ਕਾਮ ਮੋਖ ਦੇਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਬਾਰ ॥੨॥
Ḏẖaram arath ar kām mokẖ ḏeṯe nahī bār. ||2||
He does not hesitate to bless me with Dharmic faith, wealth, sexual success and liberation. ||2||
|
ਭਗਤ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਏਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥
Bẖagaṯ arāḏẖėh ek rang gobinḏ gupāl.
The devotees worship and adore the Lord of the Universe with single-minded love.
|
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਸੁਮਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
Rām nām ḏẖan sancẖi▫ā jā kā nahī sumār. ||3||
They gather in the wealth of the Lord's Name, which cannot be estimated. ||3||
|
ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
Saran pare parabẖ ṯerī▫ā parabẖ kī vadi▫ā▫ī.
O God, I seek Your Sanctuary, the glorious greatness of God. Nanak:

ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥੪॥੩੨॥੬੨॥
Nānak anṯ na pā▫ī▫ai be▫anṯ gusā▫ī. ||4||32||62||
Your end or limitation cannot be found, O Infinite World-Lord. ||4||32||62||

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਾਰਜ ਭਏ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
Simar simar pūran parabẖū kāraj bẖa▫e rās.
Meditate, meditate in remembrance of the Perfect Lord God, and your affairs shall be perfectly resolved.

ਕਰਤਾਰ ਪੁਰਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਵਸੈ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਪਾਸਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Karṯār pur karṯā vasai sanṯan kai pās. ||1|| rahā▫o.
In Kartaarpur, the City of the Creator Lord, the Saints dwell with the Creator. ||1||Pause||
|
ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਲਾਗਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
Bigẖan na ko▫ū lāgṯā gur pėh arḏās.
No obstacles will block your way, when you offer your prayers to the Guru.

ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਾਇ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੧॥
Rakẖvālā gobinḏ rā▫e bẖagṯan kī rās. ||1||
The Sovereign Lord of the Universe is the Saving Grace, the Protector of the capital of His devotees. ||1||
|
