ਸ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਦਮ ਆਢ ਕਉ ਤੇ ਗਨੀ ਧਨੀਤਾ ॥੩॥
स्रमु करते दम आढ कउ ते गनी धनीता ॥३॥
Saram karṯe ḏam ādẖ ka▫o ṯe ganī ḏẖanīṯā. ||3||
Those who worked for half a shell, will be judged very wealthy. ||3||

ਕਵਨ ਵਡਾਈ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਉ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਨੀਤਾ ॥
कवन वडाई कहि सकउ बेअंत गुनीता ॥
Kavan vadā▫ī kahi saka▫o be▫anṯ gunīṯā.
What glorious greatness of Yours can I describe, O Lord of infinite excellences?

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰ ਸਰੀਤਾ ॥੪॥੭॥੩੭॥
करि किरपा मोहि नामु देहु नानक दर सरीता ॥४॥७॥३७॥
Kar kirpā mohi nām ḏeh Nānak ḏar sarīṯā. ||4||7||37||
Please bless me with Your Mercy, and grant me Your Name; O Nanak, I am lost without the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||4||7||37||

ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਪਰਬਾਦ ਨੀਤ ਲੋਭ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਾਦਿ ॥
अह्मबुधि परबाद नीत लोभ रसना सादि ॥
Ahaʼn▫buḏẖ parbāḏ nīṯ lobẖ rasnā sāḏ.
He is constantly entangled in pride, conflict, greed and tasty flavors.

ਲਪਟਿ ਕਪਟਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਬਿਖਿਆਦਿ ॥੧॥
लपटि कपटि ग्रिहि बेधिआ मिथिआ बिखिआदि ॥१॥
Lapat kapat garihi beḏẖi▫ā mithi▫ā bikẖi▫āḏ. ||1||
He is involved in deception, fraud, household affairs and corruption. ||1||
|
ਐਸੀ ਪੇਖੀ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ऐसी पेखी नेत्र महि पूरे गुर परसादि ॥
Aisī pekẖī neṯar mėh pūre gur parsāḏ.
I have seen this with my eyes, by the Grace of the Perfect Guru.

ਰਾਜ ਮਿਲਖ ਧਨ ਜੋਬਨਾ ਨਾਮੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਾਦਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
राज मिलख धन जोबना नामै बिनु बादि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Rāj milakẖ ḏẖan jobnā nāmai bin bāḏ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Power, property, wealth and youth are useless, without the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਰੂਪ ਧੂਪ ਸੋਗੰਧਤਾ ਕਾਪਰ ਭੋਗਾਦਿ ॥
रूप धूप सोगंधता कापर भोगादि ॥
Rūp ḏẖūp soganḏẖ▫ṯā kāpar bẖogāḏ.
Beauty, incense, scented oils, beautiful clothes and foods -

ਮਿਲਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਪਿਸਟ ਤਨ ਹੋਏ ਦੁਰਗਾਦਿ ॥੨॥
मिलत संगि पापिसट तन होए दुरगादि ॥२॥
Milaṯ sang pāpisat ṯan ho▫e ḏurgāḏ. ||2||
when they come into contact with the body of the sinner, they stink. ||2||
|
ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਮਾਨੁਖੁ ਭਇਆ ਖਿਨ ਭੰਗਨ ਦੇਹਾਦਿ ॥
फिरत फिरत मानुखु भइआ खिन भंगन देहादि ॥
Firaṯ firaṯ mānukẖ bẖa▫i▫ā kẖin bẖangan ḏehāḏ.
Wandering, wandering around, the soul is reincarnated as a human, but this body lasts only for an instant.

ਇਹ ਅਉਸਰ ਤੇ ਚੂਕਿਆ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਦਿ ॥੩॥
इह अउसर ते चूकिआ बहु जोनि भ्रमादि ॥३॥
Ih a▫osar ṯe cẖūki▫ā baho jon bẖarmāḏ. ||3||
Losing this opportunity, he must wander again through countless incarnations. ||3||
|
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥
प्रभ किरपा ते गुर मिले हरि हरि बिसमाद ॥
Parabẖ kirpā ṯe gur mile har har bismāḏ.
By God's Grace, he meets the Guru; contemplating the Lord, Har, Har, he is wonderstruck.

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨੰਦ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਨਾਦ ॥੪॥੮॥੩੮॥
सूख सहज नानक अनंद ता कै पूरन नाद ॥४॥८॥३८॥
Sūkẖ sahj Nānak anand ṯā kai pūran nāḏ. ||4||8||38||
He is blessed with peace, poise and bliss, O Nanak, through the perfect sound current of the Naad. ||4||8||38||

ਚਰਨ ਭਏ ਸੰਤ ਬੋਹਿਥਾ ਤਰੇ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਜੇਤ ॥
चरन भए संत बोहिथा तरे सागरु जेत ॥
Cẖaran bẖa▫e sanṯ bohithā ṯare sāgar jeṯ.
The feet of the Saints are the boat, to cross over the world-ocean.

ਮਾਰਗ ਪਾਏ ਉਦਿਆਨ ਮਹਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਸੇ ਭੇਤ ॥੧॥
मारग पाए उदिआन महि गुरि दसे भेत ॥१॥
Mārag pā▫e uḏi▫ān mėh gur ḏase bẖeṯ. ||1||
In the wilderness, the Guru places them on the Path, and reveals the secrets of the Lord's Mystery. ||1||
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੇਤ ॥
हरि हरि हरि हरि हरि हरे हरि हरि हरि हेत ॥
Har har har har har hare har har har heṯ.
O Lord, Har Har Har, Har Har Haray, Har Har Har, I love You.

ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ऊठत बैठत सोवते हरि हरि हरि चेत ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ūṯẖaṯ baiṯẖaṯ sovṯe har har har cẖeṯ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
While standing up, sitting down and sleeping, think of the Lord, Har Har Har. ||1||Pause||

ਪੰਚ ਚੋਰ ਆਗੈ ਭਗੇ ਜਬ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇਤ ॥
पंच चोर आगै भगे जब साधसंगेत ॥
Pancẖ cẖor āgai bẖage jab sāḏẖsangeṯ.
The five thieves run away, when one joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਾਬਤੁ ਘਣੋ ਲਾਭੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੇਤ ॥੨॥
पूंजी साबतु घणो लाभु ग्रिहि सोभा सेत ॥२॥
Pūnjī sābaṯ gẖaṇo lābẖ garihi sobẖā seṯ. ||2||
His investment is intact, and he earns great profits; his household is blessed with honor. ||2||
|
ਨਿਹਚਲ ਆਸਣੁ ਮਿਟੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਡੋਲੇਤ ॥
निहचल आसणु मिटी चिंत नाही डोलेत ॥
Nihcẖal āsaṇ mitī cẖinṯ nāhī doleṯ.
His position is unmoving and eternal, his anxiety is ended, and he wavers no more.

ਭਰਮੁ ਭੁਲਾਵਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੇਖਤ ਨੇਤ ॥੩॥
भरमु भुलावा मिटि गइआ प्रभ पेखत नेत ॥३॥
Bẖaram bẖulāvā mit ga▫i▫ā parabẖ pekẖaṯ neṯ. ||3||
His doubts and misgivings are dispelled, and he sees God everywhere. ||3||
|
ਗੁਣ ਗਭੀਰ ਗੁਨ ਨਾਇਕਾ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਕੇਤ ॥
गुण गभीर गुन नाइका गुण कहीअहि केत ॥
Guṇ gabẖīr gun nā▫ikā guṇ kahī▫ahi keṯ.
The Virtues of our Virtuous Lord and Master are so profound; how many of His Glorious Virtues should I speak?

ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰੇਤ ॥੪॥੯॥੩੯॥
नानक पाइआ साधसंगि हरि हरि अम्रेत ॥४॥९॥३९॥
Nānak pā▫i▫ā sāḏẖsang har har amreṯ. ||4||9||39||
Nanak has obtained the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord, Har, Har, in the Company of the Holy. ||4||9||39||

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਜੋ ਜੀਵਨਾ ਤੇਤੋ ਬਿਰਥਾਰੀ ॥
बिनु साधू जो जीवना तेतो बिरथारी ॥
Bin sāḏẖū jo jīvnā ṯeṯo birthārī.
That life, which has no contact with the Holy, is useless.
|
ਮਿਲਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਭਿ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਮਿਟੇ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
मिलत संगि सभि भ्रम मिटे गति भई हमारी ॥१॥
Milaṯ sang sabẖ bẖaram mite gaṯ bẖa▫ī hamārī. ||1||
Joining their congregation, all doubts are dispelled, and I am emancipated. ||1||
|
ਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਭੇਟੇ ਸਾਧ ਮੋਹਿ ਉਆ ਦਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
जा दिन भेटे साध मोहि उआ दिन बलिहारी ॥
Jā ḏin bẖete sāḏẖ mohi u▫ā ḏin balihārī.
That day, when I meet with the Holy - I am a sacrifice to that day.
|
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਪਨੋ ਜੀਅਰਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
तनु मनु अपनो जीअरा फिरि फिरि हउ वारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧan man apno jī▫arā fir fir ha▫o vārī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Again and again, I sacrifice my body, mind and soul to them. ||1||Pause||
|
ਏਤ ਛਡਾਈ ਮੋਹਿ ਤੇ ਇਤਨੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾਰੀ ॥
एत छडाई मोहि ते इतनी द्रिड़तारी ॥
Ėṯ cẖẖadā▫ī mohi ṯe iṯnī ḏariṛ▫ṯārī.
They have helped me renounce this ego, and implant this humility within myself.

ਸਗਲ ਰੇਨ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਅਪਧਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
सगल रेन इहु मनु भइआ बिनसी अपधारी ॥२॥
Sagal ren ih man bẖa▫i▫ā binsī apḏẖārī. ||2||
This mind has become the dust of all men's feet, and my self-conceit has been dispelled. ||2||
|
ਨਿੰਦ ਚਿੰਦ ਪਰ ਦੂਖਨਾ ਏ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਰੀ ॥
निंद चिंद पर दूखना ए खिन महि जारी ॥
Ninḏ cẖinḏ par ḏūkẖnā e kẖin mėh jārī.
In an instant, I burnt away the ideas of slander and ill-will towards others.

ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਅਰੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਪੇਖੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਦੂਰਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
दइआ मइआ अरु निकटि पेखु नाही दूरारी ॥३॥
Ḏa▫i▫ā ma▫i▫ā ar nikat pekẖ nāhī ḏūrārī. ||3||
I see close at hand, the Lord of mercy and compassion; He is not far away at all. ||3||
|
ਤਨ ਮਨ ਸੀਤਲ ਭਏ ਅਬ ਮੁਕਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ॥
तन मन सीतल भए अब मुकते संसारी ॥
Ŧan man sīṯal bẖa▫e ab mukṯe sansārī.
My body and mind are cooled and soothed, and now, I am liberated from the world.

ਹੀਤ ਚੀਤ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੪੦॥
हीत चीत सभ प्रान धन नानक दरसारी ॥४॥१०॥४०॥
Hīṯ cẖīṯ sabẖ parān ḏẖan Nānak ḏarsārī. ||4||10||40||
Love, consciousness, the breath of life, wealth and everything, O Nanak, are in the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||4||10||40||

ਟਹਲ ਕਰਉ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਪਗ ਝਾਰਉ ਬਾਲ ॥
टहल करउ तेरे दास की पग झारउ बाल ॥
Tahal kara▫o ṯere ḏās kī pag jẖāra▫o bāl.
I perform service for Your slave, O Lord, and wipe his feet with my hair.

ਮਸਤਕੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਭੇਟ ਦੇਉ ਗੁਨ ਸੁਨਉ ਰਸਾਲ ॥੧॥
मसतकु अपना भेट देउ गुन सुनउ रसाल ॥१॥
Masṯak apnā bẖet ḏe▫o gun sun▫o rasāl. ||1||
I offer my head to him, and listen to the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the source of bliss. ||1||
|
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਿਲਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਓ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
तुम्ह मिलते मेरा मनु जीओ तुम्ह मिलहु दइआल ॥
Ŧumĥ milṯe merā man jī▫o ṯumĥ milhu ḏa▫i▫āl.
Meeting You, my mind is rejuvenated, so please meet me, O Merciful Lord.

ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੋਤ ਚਿਤਵਤ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
निसि बासुर मनि अनदु होत चितवत किरपाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Nis bāsur man anaḏ hoṯ cẖiṯvaṯ kirpāl. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Night and day, my mind enjoys bliss, contemplating the Lord of Compassion. ||1||Pause||
