ਕਹਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਏ ਚੂਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ॥
Kahaṯ Nānak sacẖe si▫o parīṯ lā▫e cẖūkai man abẖimānā.
Says Nanak, loving the True Lord, the mind's egotism and self-conceit is eradicated.

ਕਹਤ ਸੁਣਤ ਸਭੇ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨਤ ਪਾਹਿ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੪॥
Kahaṯ suṇaṯ sabẖe sukẖ pāvahi mānaṯ pāhi niḏẖānā. ||4||4||
Those who speak and listen to the Lord's Name, all find peace. Those who believe in it, obtain the supreme treasure. ||4||4||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

Bilaaval, Third Mehl:

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪੇ ਲਾਏ ॥
Gurmukẖ parīṯ jis no āpe lā▫e.
The Lord Himself attaches the Gurmukh to His Love;
|
ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
Ŧiṯ gẖar bilāval gur sabaḏ suhā▫e.
joyful melodies permeate his home, and he is embellished with the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਮੰਗਲੁ ਨਾਰੀ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਆਏ ॥
Mangal nārī gāvahi ā▫e.
The women come and sing the songs of joy.
|
ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥
Mil parīṯam saḏā sukẖ pā▫e. ||1||
Meeting with their Beloved, lasting peace is obtained. ||1||
|
ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
Ha▫o ṯin balihārai jinĥ har man vasā▫e.
I am a sacrifice to those, whose minds are filled with the Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har jan ka▫o mili▫ā sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai har guṇ gāvai sahj subẖā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Meeting with the humble servant of the Lord, peace is obtained, and one intuitively sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਤੇਰੈ ਚਾਏ ॥
Saḏā rang rāṯe ṯerai cẖā▫e.
They are always imbued with Your Joyful Love;
|
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਪਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥
Har jī▫o āp vasai man ā▫e.
O Dear Lord, You Yourself come to dwell in their minds.
|
ਆਪੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਪਾਏ ॥
Āpe sobẖā saḏ hī pā▫e.
They obtain eternal glory.
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੈ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੨॥
Gurmukẖ melai mel milā▫e. ||2||
The Gurmukhs are united in the Lord's Union. ||2||
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਰੰਗਾਏ ॥
Gurmukẖ rāṯe sabaḏ rangā▫e.
The Gurmukhs are imbued with the love of the Word of the Shabad.
|
ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
Nij gẖar vāsā har guṇ gā▫e.
They abide in the home of their own being, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
|
ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਭਾਏ ॥
Rang cẖalūlai har ras bẖā▫e.
They are dyed in the deep crimson color of the Lord's Love; they look so beautiful.
|
ਇਹੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੩॥
Ih rang kaḏe na uṯrai sācẖ samā▫e. ||3||
This dye never fades away; they are absorbed in the True Lord. ||3||
|
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ॥
Anṯar sabaḏ miti▫ā agi▫ān anḏẖerā.
The Shabad deep within the nucleus of the self dispels the darkness of ignorance.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
Saṯgur gi▫ān mili▫ā parīṯam merā.
Meeting with my Friend, the True Guru, I have obtained spiritual wisdom.

ਜੋ ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਫੇਰਾ ॥
Jo sacẖ rāṯe ṯin bahuṛ na ferā.
Those who are attuned to the True Lord, do not have to enter the cycle of reincarnation again.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੫॥
Nānak nām driṛ▫ā▫e pūrā gur merā. ||4||5||
O Nanak, my Perfect Guru implants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, deep within. ||4||5||

Bilaaval, Third Mehl:

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪਾਈ ॥
Pūre gur ṯe vadi▫ā▫ī pā▫ī.
From the Perfect Guru, I have obtained glorious greatness.
|
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
Acẖinṯ nām vasi▫ā man ā▫ī.
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, has spontaneously come to abide in my mind.
|
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਈ ॥
Ha▫umai mā▫i▫ā sabaḏ jalā▫ī.
Through the Word of the Shabad, I have burnt away egotism and Maya.
|
ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥
Ḏar sācẖai gur ṯe sobẖā pā▫ī. ||1||
Through the Guru, I have obtained honor in the Court of the True Lord. ||1||
|
ਜਗਦੀਸ ਸੇਵਉ ਮੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਾਜਾ ॥
Jagḏīs seva▫o mai avar na kājā.
I serve the Lord of the Universe; I have no other work to do.
|
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਮਨਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਗਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਵਾਜਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
An▫ḏin anaḏ hovai man merai gurmukẖ māga▫o ṯerā nām nivājā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Night and day, my mind is in ecstasy; as Gurmukh, I beg for the bliss-giving Naam. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥
Man kī parṯīṯ man ṯe pā▫ī.
From the mind itself, mental faith is obtained.
|
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥
Pūre gur ṯe sabaḏ bujẖā▫ī.
Through the Guru, I have realized the Shabad.
|
ਜੀਵਣ ਮਰਣੁ ਕੋ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ॥
Jīvaṇ maraṇ ko samsar vekẖai.
How rare is that person, who looks upon life and death alike.
|
ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਮਰੈ ਨਾ ਜਮੁ ਪੇਖੈ ॥੨॥
Bahuṛ na marai nā jam pekẖai. ||2||
She shall never die again, and shall not have to see the Messenger of Death. ||2||
|
ਘਰ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਕੋਟ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
Gẖar hī mėh sabẖ kot niḏẖān.
Within the home of the self are all the millions of treasures.
|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਗਇਆ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥
Saṯgur ḏikẖā▫e ga▫i▫ā abẖimān.
The True Guru has revealed them, and my egotistical pride is gone.
|
ਸਦ ਹੀ ਲਾਗਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨ ॥
Saḏ hī lāgā sahj ḏẖi▫ān.
I keep my meditation always focused on the Cosmic Lord.
|
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮ ॥੩॥
An▫ḏin gāvai eko nām. ||3||
Night and day, I sing the One Name. ||3||
|
ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪਾਈ ॥
Is jug mėh vadi▫ā▫ī pā▫ī.
I have obtained glorious greatness in this age,
|
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
Pūre gur ṯe nām ḏẖi▫ā▫ī.
from the Perfect Guru, meditating on the Naam.
|
ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥
Jah ḏekẖā ṯah rahi▫ā samā▫ī.
Wherever I look, I see the Lord permeating and pervading.
|
ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈ ॥੪॥
Saḏā sukẖ▫ḏāṯa kīmaṯ nahī pā▫ī. ||4||
He is forever the Giver of peace; His worth cannot be estimated. ||4||
|
ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Pūrai bẖāg gur pūrā pā▫i▫ā.
By perfect destiny, I have found the Perfect Guru.
|
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
Anṯar nām niḏẖān ḏikẖā▫i▫ā.
He has revealed to me the treasure of the Naam, deep within the nucleus of my self.
|
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਤਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
Gur kā sabaḏ aṯ mīṯẖā lā▫i▫ā.
The Word of the Guru's Shabad is so very sweet.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਬੁਝੀ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੫॥੬॥੪॥੬॥੧੦॥
Nānak ṯarisan bujẖī man ṯan sukẖ pā▫i▫ā. ||5||6||4||6||10||
O Nanak, my thirst is quenched, and my mind and body have found peace. ||5||6||4||6||10||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਉਦਮ ਮਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੇਰੇ ਤਿਉ ਕਰਨਾ ॥
Uḏam maṯ parabẖ anṯarjāmī ji▫o parere ṯi▫o karnā.
Effort and intelligence come from God, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; as He wills, they act.

ਜਿਉ ਨਟੂਆ ਤੰਤੁ ਵਜਾਏ ਤੰਤੀ ਤਿਉ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਜੰਤ ਜਨਾ ॥੧॥
Ji▫o natū▫ā ṯanṯ vajā▫e ṯanṯī ṯi▫o vājėh janṯ janā. ||1||
As the violinist plays upon the strings of the violin, so does the Lord play the living beings. ||1||
