ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਣੇ ਸਿ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਨਾ ਉਰਵਾਰਿ ਪਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
भरमि भुलाणे सि मनमुख कहीअहि ना उरवारि न पारे ॥३॥
Bẖaram bẖulāṇe sė manmukẖ kahī▫ahi nā urvār na pāre. ||3||
Those who wander around, deluded by doubt, are called manmukhs; they are neither on this side, nor on the other side. ||3||

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲੇ
जिस नो नदरि करे सोई जनु पाए गुर का सबदु सम्हाले ॥
Jis no naḏar kare so▫ī jan pā▫e gur kā sabaḏ samĥāle.
That humble being, who is blessed by the Lord's Glance of Grace obtains Him, and contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ
हरि जन माइआ माहि निसतारे ॥
Har jan mā▫i▫ā māhi nisṯāre.
In the midst of Maya, the Lord's servant is emancipated.

ਨਾਨਕ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਕਾਲਹਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥
नानक भागु होवै जिसु मसतकि कालहि मारि बिदारे ॥४॥१॥
Nānak bẖāg hovai jis masṯak kālėh mār biḏāre. ||4||1||
O Nanak, one who has such destiny inscribed upon his forehead, conquers and destroys death. ||4||1||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बिलावलु महला ३ ॥
Bilāval mėhlā 3.
Bilaaval, Third Mehl:

ਅਤੁਲੁ ਕਿਉ ਤੋਲਿਆ ਜਾਇ
अतुलु किउ तोलिआ जाइ ॥
Aṯul ki▫o ṯoli▫ā jā▫e.
How can the unweighable be weighed?

ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ
दूजा होइ त सोझी पाइ ॥
Ḏūjā ho▫e ṯa sojẖī pā▫e.
If there is anyone else as great, then he alone could understand the Lord.

ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ
तिस ते दूजा नाही कोइ ॥
Ŧis ṯe ḏūjā nāhī ko▫e.
There is no other than Him.

ਤਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਕੂ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
तिस दी कीमति किकू होइ ॥१॥
Ŧis ḏī kīmaṯ kikū ho▫e. ||1||
How can His value be estimated? ||1||

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ
गुर परसादि वसै मनि आइ ॥
Gur parsāḏ vasai man ā▫e.
By Guru's Grace, He comes to dwell in the mind.

ਤਾ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
ता को जाणै दुबिधा जाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧā ko jāṇai ḏubiḏẖā jā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
One comes to know Him, when duality departs. ||1||Pause||

ਆਪਿ ਸਰਾਫੁ ਕਸਵਟੀ ਲਾਏ
आपि सराफु कसवटी लाए ॥
Āp sarāf kasvatī lā▫e.
He Himself is the Assayer, applying the touch-stone to test it.

ਆਪੇ ਪਰਖੇ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਏ
आपे परखे आपि चलाए ॥
Āpe parkẖe āp cẖalā▫e.
He Himself analyzes the coin, and He Himself approves it as currency.

ਆਪੇ ਤੋਲੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਇ
आपे तोले पूरा होइ ॥
Āpe ṯole pūrā ho▫e.
He Himself weights it perfectly.

ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
आपे जाणै एको सोइ ॥२॥
Āpe jāṇai eko so▫e. ||2||
He alone knows; He is the One and Only Lord. ||2||

ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ
माइआ का रूपु सभु तिस ते होइ ॥
Mā▫i▫ā kā rūp sabẖ ṯis ṯe ho▫e.
All the forms of Maya emanate from Him.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੇਲੇ ਸੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ
जिस नो मेले सु निरमलु होइ ॥
Jis no mele so nirmal ho▫e.
He alone becomes pure and immaculate, who is united with the Lord.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਲਾਏ ਲਗੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਇ
जिस नो लाए लगै तिसु आइ ॥
Jis no lā▫e lagai ṯis ā▫e.
He alone is attached, whom the Lord attaches.

ਸਭੁ ਸਚੁ ਦਿਖਾਲੇ ਤਾ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥
सभु सचु दिखाले ता सचि समाइ ॥३॥
Sabẖ sacẖ ḏikẖāle ṯā sacẖ samā▫e. ||3||
All Truth is revealed to him, and then, he merges in the True Lord. ||3||

ਆਪੇ ਲਿਵ ਧਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ
आपे लिव धातु है आपे ॥
Āpe liv ḏẖāṯ hai āpe.
He Himself leads the mortals to focus on Him, and He Himself causes them to chase after Maya.

ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਪੇ
आपि बुझाए आपे जापे ॥
Āp bujẖā▫e āpe jāpe.
He Himself imparts understanding, and He reveals Himself.

ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ
आपे सतिगुरु सबदु है आपे ॥
Āpe saṯgur sabaḏ hai āpe.
He Himself is the True Guru, and He Himself is the Word of the Shabad.

ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਆਪੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
नानक आखि सुणाए आपे ॥४॥२॥
Nānak ākẖ suṇā▫e āpe. ||4||2||
O Nanak, He Himself speaks and teaches. ||4||2||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बिलावलु महला ३ ॥
Bilāval mėhlā 3.
Bilaaval, Third Mehl:

ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਸੇਵ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਕਿਆ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਬਹਾਨਾ
साहिब ते सेवकु सेव साहिब ते किआ को कहै बहाना ॥
Sāhib ṯe sevak sev sāhib ṯe ki▫ā ko kahai bahānā.
My Lord and Master has made me His servant, and blessed me with His service; how can anyone argue about this?

ਐਸਾ ਇਕੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਬਨਿਆ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਸਮਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
ऐसा इकु तेरा खेलु बनिआ है सभ महि एकु समाना ॥१॥
Aisā ik ṯerā kẖel bani▫ā hai sabẖ mėh ek samānā. ||1||
Such is Your play, One and Only Lord; You are the One, contained among all. ||1||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪਰਚੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ
सतिगुरि परचै हरि नामि समाना ॥
Saṯgur parcẖai har nām samānā.
When the True Guru is pleased and appeased, one is absorbed in the Lord's Name.

ਜਿਸੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਹਜ ਧਿਆਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जिसु करमु होवै सो सतिगुरु पाए अनदिनु लागै सहज धिआना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jis karam hovai so saṯgur pā▫e an▫ḏin lāgai sahj ḏẖi▫ānā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
One who is blessed by the Lord's Mercy, finds the True Guru; night and day, he automatically remains focused on the Lord's meditation. ||1||Pause||

ਕਿਆ ਕੋਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਆ ਕੋ ਕਰੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ
किआ कोई तेरी सेवा करे किआ को करे अभिमाना ॥
Ki▫ā ko▫ī ṯerī sevā kare ki▫ā ko kare abẖimānā.
How can I serve You? How can I be proud of this?

ਜਬ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਖਿੰਚਹਿ ਤੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਬ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਉ ਦਿਖਾ ਵਖਿਆਨਾ ॥੨॥
जब अपुनी जोति खिंचहि तू सुआमी तब कोई करउ दिखा वखिआना ॥२॥
Jab apunī joṯ kẖincẖėh ṯū su▫āmī ṯab ko▫ī kara▫o ḏikẖā vakẖi▫ānā. ||2||
When You withdraw Your Light, O Lord and Master, then who can speak and teach? ||2||

ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਚੇਲਾ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ
आपे गुरु चेला है आपे आपे गुणी निधाना ॥
Āpe gur cẖelā hai āpe āpe guṇī niḏẖānā.
You Yourself are the Guru, and You Yourself are the chaylaa, the humble disciple; You Yourself are the treasure of virtue.

ਜਿਉ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਏ ਤਿਵੈ ਕੋਈ ਚਾਲੈ ਜਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਭਗਵਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
जिउ आपि चलाए तिवै कोई चालै जिउ हरि भावै भगवाना ॥३॥
Ji▫o āp cẖalā▫e ṯivai ko▫ī cẖālai ji▫o har bẖāvai bẖagvānā. ||3||
As You cause us to move, so do we move, according to the Pleasure of Your Will, O Lord God. ||3||

ਕਹਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤੂ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਕਉਣੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਾਮਾਂ
कहत नानकु तू साचा साहिबु कउणु जाणै तेरे कामां ॥
Kahaṯ Nānak ṯū sācẖā sāhib ka▫uṇ jāṇai ṯere kāmāʼn.
Says Nanak, You are the True Lord and Master; who can know Your actions?

ਇਕਨਾ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਇਕਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭਵਹਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੩॥
इकना घर महि दे वडिआई इकि भरमि भवहि अभिमाना ॥४॥३॥
Iknā gẖar mėh ḏe vadi▫ā▫ī ik bẖaram bẖavėh abẖimānā. ||4||3||
Some are blessed with glory in their own homes, while others wander in doubt and pride. ||4||3||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ
बिलावलु महला ३ ॥
Bilāval mėhlā 3.
Bilaaval, Third Mehl:

ਪੂਰਾ ਥਾਟੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਪੂਰੈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਏਕ ਸਮਾਨਾ
पूरा थाटु बणाइआ पूरै वेखहु एक समाना ॥
Pūrā thāt baṇā▫i▫ā pūrai vekẖhu ek samānā.
The perfect Lord has fashioned the Perfect Creation. Behold the Lord pervading everywhere.

ਇਸੁ ਪਰਪੰਚ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਮਤੁ ਕੋ ਧਰਹੁ ਗੁਮਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
इसु परपंच महि साचे नाम की वडिआई मतु को धरहु गुमाना ॥१॥
Is parpancẖ mėh sācẖe nām kī vadi▫ā▫ī maṯ ko ḏẖarahu gumānā. ||1||
In this play of the world, is the glorious greatness of the True Name. No one should take pride in himself. ||1||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ
सतिगुर की जिस नो मति आवै सो सतिगुर माहि समाना ॥
Saṯgur kī jis no maṯ āvai so saṯgur māhi samānā.
One who accepts the wisdom of the True Guru's Teachings, is absorbed into the True Guru.

ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋ ਜੀਅਹੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
इह बाणी जो जीअहु जाणै तिसु अंतरि रवै हरि नामा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ih baṇī jo jī▫ahu jāṇai ṯis anṯar ravai har nāmā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Lord's Name abides deep within the nucleus of one who realizes the Bani of the Guru's Word within his soul. ||1||Pause||

ਚਹੁ ਜੁਗਾ ਕਾ ਹੁਣਿ ਨਿਬੇੜਾ ਨਰ ਮਨੁਖਾ ਨੋ ਏਕੁ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ
चहु जुगा का हुणि निबेड़ा नर मनुखा नो एकु निधाना ॥
Cẖahu jugā kā huṇ nibeṛā nar manukẖā no ek niḏẖānā.
Now, this is the essence of the teachings of the four ages: for the human race, the Name of the One Lord is the greatest treasure.

ਜਤੁ ਸੰਜਮ ਤੀਰਥ ਓਨਾ ਜੁਗਾ ਕਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਹੈ ਕਲਿ ਮਹਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
जतु संजम तीरथ ओना जुगा का धरमु है कलि महि कीरति हरि नामा ॥२॥
Jaṯ sanjam ṯirath onā jugā kā ḏẖaram hai kal mėh kīraṯ har nāmā. ||2||
Celibacy, self-discipline and pilgrimages were the essence of Dharma in those past ages; but in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Praise of the Lord's Name is the essence of Dharma. ||2||

ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਹੈ ਸੋਧਿ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨਾ
जुगि जुगि आपो आपणा धरमु है सोधि देखहु बेद पुराना ॥
Jug jug āpo āpṇā ḏẖaram hai soḏẖ ḏekẖhu beḏ purānā.
Each and every age has its own essence of Dharma; study the Vedas and the Puraanas, and see this as true.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਗਿ ਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
गुरमुखि जिनी धिआइआ हरि हरि जगि ते पूरे परवाना ॥३॥
Gurmukẖ jinī ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā har har jag ṯe pūre parvānā. ||3||
They are Gurmukh, who meditate on the Lord, Har, Har; in this world, they are perfect and approved. ||3||
