ਹਰਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਾ ॥੨॥
हरि मंगल रसि रसन रसाए नानक नामु प्रगासा ॥२॥
Har mangal ras rasan rasā▫e Nānak nām pargāsā. ||2||
My tongue tastes the taste of the Lord's joyous song; O Nanak, the Naam shines forth brightly. ||2||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਤਨੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
अंतरि रतनु बीचारे ॥
Anṯar raṯan bīcẖāre.
One who, deep within, contemplates the jewel of the Naam,
|
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
गुरमुखि नामु पिआरे ॥
Gurmukẖ nām pi▫āre.
that Gurmukh loves the Name of the Lord.
|
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅਧੇਰੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
हरि नामु पिआरे सबदि निसतारे अगिआनु अधेरु गवाइआ ॥
Har nām pi▫āre sabaḏ nisṯāre agi▫ān aḏẖer gavā▫i▫ā.
Those who love the Lord's Name are emancipated through the Word of the Shabad. The darkness of ignorance is dispelled.

ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਿਆ ਘਟਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਸੋਹਾਇਆ ॥
गिआनु प्रचंडु बलिआ घटि चानणु घर मंदर सोहाइआ ॥
Gi▫ān parcẖand bali▫ā gẖat cẖānaṇ gẖar manḏar sohā▫i▫ā.
Spiritual wisdom burns brilliantly, illuminating the heart; their homes and temples are embellished and blessed.

ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
तनु मनु अरपि सीगार बणाए हरि प्रभ साचे भाइआ ॥
Ŧan man arap sīgār baṇā▫e har parabẖ sācẖe bẖā▫i▫ā.
I have made my body and mind into adornments, and dedicated them to the True Lord God, pleasing Him.

ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਪਰੁ ਕੀਜੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
जो प्रभु कहै सोई परु कीजै नानक अंकि समाइआ ॥३॥
Jo parabẖ kahai so▫ī par kījai Nānak ank samā▫i▫ā. ||3||
Whatever God says, I gladly do. O Nanak, I have merged into the fiber of His Being. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਾਜੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥
हरि प्रभि काजु रचाइआ ॥
Har parabẖ kāj racẖā▫i▫ā.
The Lord God has arranged the marriage ceremony;

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੀਆਹਣਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
गुरमुखि वीआहणि आइआ ॥
Gurmukẖ vī▫āhaṇ ā▫i▫ā.
He has come to marry the Gurmukh.

ਵੀਆਹਣਿ ਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
वीआहणि आइआ गुरमुखि हरि पाइआ सा धन कंत पिआरी ॥
vī▫āhaṇ ā▫i▫ā gurmukẖ har pā▫i▫ā sā ḏẖan kanṯ pi▫ārī.
He has come to marry the Gurmukh, who has found the Lord. That bride is very dear to her Lord.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
संत जना मिलि मंगल गाए हरि जीउ आपि सवारी ॥
Sanṯ janā mil mangal gā▫e har jī▫o āp savārī.
The humble Saints join together and sing the songs of joy; the Dear Lord Himself has adorned the soul-bride.

ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਗਣ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਮਿਲਿ ਆਏ ਅਪੂਰਬ ਜੰਞ ਬਣਾਈ ॥
सुरि नर गण गंधरब मिलि आए अपूरब जंञ बणाई ॥
Sur nar gaṇ ganḏẖarab mil ā▫e apūrab jañ baṇā▫ī.
The angels and mortal beings, the heavenly heralds and celestial singers, have come together and formed a wondrous wedding party.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੈ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥
नानक प्रभु पाइआ मै साचा ना कदे मरै न जाई ॥४॥१॥३॥
Nānak parabẖ pā▫i▫ā mai sācẖā nā kaḏe marai na jā▫ī. ||4||1||3||
O Nanak, I have found my True Lord God, who never dies, and is not born. ||4||1||3||

ਆਵਹੋ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
आवहो संत जनहु गुण गावह गोविंद केरे राम ॥
Āvho sanṯ janhu guṇ gāvah govinḏ kere rām.
Come, humble Saints, and sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਸਬਦ ਘਨੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुरमुखि मिलि रहीऐ घरि वाजहि सबद घनेरे राम ॥
Gurmukẖ mil rahī▫ai gẖar vājėh sabaḏ gẖanere rām.
Let us gather together as Gurmukh; within the home of our own heart, the Shabad vibrates and resonates.

ਸਬਦ ਘਨੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ॥
सबद घनेरे हरि प्रभ तेरे तू करता सभ थाई ॥
Sabaḏ gẖanere har parabẖ ṯere ṯū karṯā sabẖ thā▫ī.
The many melodies of the Shabad are Yours, O Lord God; O Creator Lord, You are everywhere.

ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਜਪੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥
अहिनिसि जपी सदा सालाही साच सबदि लिव लाई ॥
Ahinis japī saḏā sālāhī sācẖ sabaḏ liv lā▫ī.
Day and night, I chant His Praises forever, lovingly focusing on the True Word of the Shabad.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਰਹੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਪੂਜਾ ॥
अनदिनु सहजि रहै रंगि राता राम नामु रिद पूजा ॥
An▫ḏin sahj rahai rang rāṯā rām nām riḏ pūjā.
Night and day, I remain intuitively attuned to the Lord's Love; in my heart, I worship the Lord's Name.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥
नानक गुरमुखि एकु पछाणै अवरु न जाणै दूजा ॥१॥
Nānak gurmukẖ ek pacẖẖāṇai avar na jāṇai ḏūjā. ||1||
O Nanak, as Gurmukh, I have realized the One Lord; I do not know any other. ||1||

ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
सभ महि रवि रहिआ सो प्रभु अंतरजामी राम ॥
Sabẖ mėh rav rahi▫ā so parabẖ anṯarjāmī rām.
He is contained amongst all; He is God, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਵੈ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुर सबदि रवै रवि रहिआ सो प्रभु मेरा सुआमी राम ॥
Gur sabaḏ ravai rav rahi▫ā so parabẖ merā su▫āmī rām.
One who meditates and dwells upon God, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, knows that God, my Lord and Master, is pervading everywhere.

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸੋਈ ॥
प्रभु मेरा सुआमी अंतरजामी घटि घटि रविआ सोई ॥
Parabẖ merā su▫āmī anṯarjāmī gẖat gẖat ravi▫ā so▫ī.
God, my Lord and Master, is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; He pervades and permeates each and every heart.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਈਐ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
गुरमति सचु पाईऐ सहजि समाईऐ तिसु बिनु अवरु न कोई ॥
Gurmaṯ sacẖ pā▫ī▫ai sahj samā▫ī▫ai ṯis bin avar na ko▫ī.
Through the Guru's Teachings, Truth is obtained, and then, one merges in celestial bliss. There is no other than Him.

ਸਹਜੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਾ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
सहजे गुण गावा जे प्रभ भावा आपे लए मिलाए ॥
Sėhje guṇ gāvā je parabẖ bẖāvā āpe la▫e milā▫e.
I sing His Praises with intuitive ease. If it pleases God, He shall unite me with Himself.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਬਦੇ ਜਾਪੈ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੨॥
नानक सो प्रभु सबदे जापै अहिनिसि नामु धिआए ॥२॥
Nānak so parabẖ sabḏe jāpai ahinis nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, through the Shabad, God is known; meditate on the Naam, day and night. ||2||

ਇਹੁ ਜਗੋ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਨ ਪਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
इहु जगो दुतरु मनमुखु पारि न पाई राम ॥
Ih jago ḏuṯar manmukẖ pār na pā▫ī rām.
This world is treacherous and impassable; the self-willed manmukh cannot cross over.

ਅੰਤਰੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਮਤਾ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
अंतरे हउमै ममता कामु क्रोधु चतुराई राम ॥
Anṯre ha▫umai mamṯā kām kroḏẖ cẖaṯurā▫ī rām.
Within him is egotism, self-conceit, sexual desire, anger and cleverness.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਥਾਇ ਨ ਪਾਈ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
अंतरि चतुराई थाइ न पाई बिरथा जनमु गवाइआ ॥
Anṯar cẖaṯurā▫ī thā▫e na pā▫ī birthā janam gavā▫i▫ā.
Within him is cleverness; he is not approved, and his life is uselessly wasted and lost.

ਜਮ ਮਗਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਵੈ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਇਆ ॥
जम मगि दुखु पावै चोटा खावै अंति गइआ पछुताइआ ॥
Jam mag ḏukẖ pāvai cẖotā kẖāvai anṯ ga▫i▫ā pacẖẖuṯā▫i▫ā.
On the Path of Death, he suffers in pain, and must endure abuse; in the end, he departs regretfully.

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਬੇਲੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੁਤੁ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਸੁਤੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
बिनु नावै को बेली नाही पुतु कुट्मबु सुतु भाई ॥
Bin nāvai ko belī nāhī puṯ kutamb suṯ bẖā▫ī.
Without the Name, he has no friends, no children, family or relatives.

ਨਾਨਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਆਗੈ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
नानक माइआ मोहु पसारा आगै साथि न जाई ॥३॥
Nānak mā▫i▫ā moh pasārā āgai sāth na jā▫ī. ||3||
O Nanak, the wealth of Maya, attachment and ostentatious shows - none of them shall go along with him to the world hereafter. ||3||

ਹਉ ਪੂਛਉ ਅਪਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਕਿਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਤਰੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
हउ पूछउ अपना सतिगुरु दाता किन बिधि दुतरु तरीऐ राम ॥
Ha▫o pūcẖẖa▫o apnā saṯgur ḏāṯā kin biḏẖ ḏuṯar ṯarī▫ai rām.
I ask my True Guru, the Giver, how to cross over the treacherous and difficult world-ocean.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਇ ਚਲਹੁ ਜੀਵਤਿਆ ਇਵ ਮਰੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
सतिगुर भाइ चलहु जीवतिआ इव मरीऐ राम ॥
Saṯgur bẖā▫e cẖalhu jīvṯi▫ā iv marī▫ai rām.
Walk in harmony with the True Guru's Will, and remain dead while yet alive.

ਜੀਵਤਿਆ ਮਰੀਐ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰੀਐ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥
जीवतिआ मरीऐ भउजलु तरीऐ गुरमुखि नामि समावै ॥
Jīvṯi▫ā marī▫ai bẖa▫ojal ṯarī▫ai gurmukẖ nām samāvai.
Remaining dead while yet alive, cross over the terrifying world-ocean; as Gurmukh, merge in the Naam.
