ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ
आवणु जाणा रहि गए मनि वुठा निरंकारु जीउ ॥
Āvaṇ jāṇā rėh ga▫e man vuṯẖā nirankār jī▫o.
My comings and goings have ended; the Formless Lord now dwells within my mind.

ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਊਚਾ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ
ता का अंतु न पाईऐ ऊचा अगम अपारु जीउ ॥
Ŧā kā anṯ na pā▫ī▫ai ūcẖā agam apār jī▫o.
His limits cannot be found; He is lofty and exalted, inaccessible and infinite.

ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਣਾ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸੋ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਲਖ ਵਾਰ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥
जिसु प्रभु अपणा विसरै सो मरि जमै लख वार जीउ ॥६॥
Jis parabẖ apṇā visrai so mar jammai lakẖ vār jī▫o. ||6||
One who forgets His God, shall die and be reincarnated, hundreds of thousands of times. ||6||

ਸਾਚੁ ਨੇਹੁ ਤਿਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਾ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਆਪਿ ਜੀਉ
साचु नेहु तिन प्रीतमा जिन मनि वुठा आपि जीउ ॥
Sācẖ nehu ṯin parīṯamā jin man vuṯẖā āp jī▫o.
They alone bear true love for their God, within whose minds He Himself dwells.

ਗੁਣ ਸਾਝੀ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸੇ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਪਿ ਜੀਉ
गुण साझी तिन संगि बसे आठ पहर प्रभ जापि जीउ ॥
Guṇ sājẖī ṯin sang base āṯẖ pahar parabẖ jāp jī▫o.
So dwell only with those who share their virtues; chant and meditate on God, twenty-four hours a day.

ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਜੀਉ ॥੭॥
रंगि रते परमेसरै बिनसे सगल संताप जीउ ॥७॥
Rang raṯe parmesrai binse sagal sanṯāp jī▫o. ||7||
They are attuned to the Love of the Transcendent Lord; all their sorrows and afflictions are dispelled. ||7||

ਤੂੰ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਣਹਾਰੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਏਕੁ ਅਨੇਕ ਜੀਉ
तूं करता तूं करणहारु तूहै एकु अनेक जीउ ॥
Ŧūʼn karṯā ṯūʼn karanhār ṯūhai ek anek jī▫o.
You are the Creator, You are the Cause of causes; You are the One and the many.

ਤੂ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਮੈ ਤੂਹੈ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਜੀਉ
तू समरथु तू सरब मै तूहै बुधि बिबेक जीउ ॥
Ŧū samrath ṯū sarab mai ṯūhai buḏẖ bibek jī▫o.
You are All-powerful, You are present everywhere; You are the subtle intellect, the clear wisdom.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਜੀਉ ॥੮॥੧॥੩॥
नानक नामु सदा जपी भगत जना की टेक जीउ ॥८॥१॥३॥
Nānak nām saḏā japī bẖagaṯ janā kī tek jī▫o. ||8||1||3||
Nanak chants and meditates forever on the Naam, the Support of the humble devotees. ||8||1||3||

ਰਾਗੁ ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ਅਸਟਪਦੀਆ ਘਰੁ ੧੦ ਕਾਫੀ
रागु सूही महला ५ असटपदीआ घरु १० काफी
Rāg sūhī mėhlā 5 asatpaḏī▫ā gẖar 10 kāfī
Raag Soohee, Fifth Mehl, Ashtapadees, Tenth House, Kaafee:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਜੇ ਭੁਲੀ ਜੇ ਚੁਕੀ ਸਾਈ ਭੀ ਤਹਿੰਜੀ ਕਾਢੀਆ
जे भुली जे चुकी साईं भी तहिंजी काढीआ ॥
Je bẖulī je cẖukī sā▫īʼn bẖī ṯahinjī kādẖī▫ā.
Even though I have made mistakes, and even though I have been wrong, I am still called Yours, O my Lord and Master.

ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਦੂਜਾਣੇ ਲਗਾ ਝੂਰਿ ਮਰਹੁ ਸੇ ਵਾਢੀਆ ॥੧॥
जिन्हा नेहु दूजाणे लगा झूरि मरहु से वाढीआ ॥१॥
Jinĥā nehu ḏūjāṇe lagā jẖūr marahu se vādẖī▫ā. ||1||
Those who enshrine love for another, die regretting and repenting. ||1||

ਹਉ ਨਾ ਛੋਡਉ ਕੰਤ ਪਾਸਰਾ
हउ ना छोडउ कंत पासरा ॥
Ha▫o nā cẖẖoda▫o kanṯ pāsrā.
I shall never leave my Husband Lord's side.

ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗੀਲਾ ਲਾਲੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਏਹੁ ਮਹਿੰਜਾ ਆਸਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
सदा रंगीला लालु पिआरा एहु महिंजा आसरा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Saḏā rangīlā lāl pi▫ārā ehu mahinjā āsrā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My Beloved Lover is always and forever beautiful. He is my hope and inspiration. ||1||Pause||

ਸਜਣੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਸੈਣੁ ਤੂ ਮੈ ਤੁਝ ਉਪਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਮਾਣੀਆ
सजणु तूहै सैणु तू मै तुझ उपरि बहु माणीआ ॥
Sajaṇ ṯūhai saiṇ ṯū mai ṯujẖ upar baho māṇī▫ā.
You are my Best Friend; You are my relative. I am so proud of You.

ਜਾ ਤੂ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਤਾ ਸੁਖੇ ਤੂੰ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਮਾਣੀਆ ॥੨॥
जा तू अंदरि ता सुखे तूं निमाणी माणीआ ॥२॥
Jā ṯū anḏar ṯā sukẖe ṯūʼn nimāṇī māṇī▫ā. ||2||
And when You dwell within me, I am at peace. I am without honor - You are my honor. ||2||

ਜੇ ਤੂ ਤੁਠਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਵੇਖਾਲਿ
जे तू तुठा क्रिपा निधान ना दूजा वेखालि ॥
Je ṯū ṯuṯẖā kirpā niḏẖān nā ḏūjā vekẖāl.
And when You are pleased with me, O treasure of mercy, then I do not see any other.

ਏਹਾ ਪਾਈ ਮੂ ਦਾਤੜੀ ਨਿਤ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਖਾ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੩॥
एहा पाई मू दातड़ी नित हिरदै रखा समालि ॥३॥
Ėhā pā▫ī mū ḏāṯ▫ṛī niṯ hirḏai rakẖā samāl. ||3||
Please grant me this blessing, that that I may forever dwell upon You and cherish You within my heart. ||3||

ਪਾਵ ਜੁਲਾਈ ਪੰਧ ਤਉ ਨੈਣੀ ਦਰਸੁ ਦਿਖਾਲਿ
पाव जुलाई पंध तउ नैणी दरसु दिखालि ॥
Pāv julā▫ī panḏẖ ṯa▫o naiṇī ḏaras ḏikẖāl.
Let my feet walk on Your Path, and let my eyes behold the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.

ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ ਜੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਥੀਵੈ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਿ ॥੪॥
स्रवणी सुणी कहाणीआ जे गुरु थीवै किरपालि ॥४॥
Sarvaṇī suṇī kahāṇī▫ā je gur thīvai kirpāl. ||4||
With my ears, I will listen to Your Sermon, if the Guru becomes merciful to me. ||4||

ਕਿਤੀ ਲਖ ਕਰੋੜਿ ਪਿਰੀਏ ਰੋਮ ਪੁਜਨਿ ਤੇਰਿਆ
किती लख करोड़ि पिरीए रोम न पुजनि तेरिआ ॥
Kiṯī lakẖ karoṛ pirī▫e rom na pujan ṯeri▫ā.
Hundreds of thousands and millions do not equal even one hair of Yours, O my Beloved.

ਤੂ ਸਾਹੀ ਹੂ ਸਾਹੁ ਹਉ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਾ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰਿਆ ॥੫॥
तू साही हू साहु हउ कहि न सका गुण तेरिआ ॥५॥
Ŧū sāhī hū sāhu ha▫o kahi na sakā guṇ ṯeri▫ā. ||5||
You are the King of kings; I cannot even describe Your Glorious Praises. ||5||

ਸਹੀਆ ਤਊ ਅਸੰਖ ਮੰਞਹੁ ਹਭਿ ਵਧਾਣੀਆ
सहीआ तऊ असंख मंञहु हभि वधाणीआ ॥
Sahī▫ā ṯa▫ū asaʼnkẖ mañahu habẖ vaḏẖāṇī▫ā.
Your brides are countless; they are all greater than I am.

ਹਿਕ ਭੋਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਰਸੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀਆ ॥੬॥
हिक भोरी नदरि निहालि देहि दरसु रंगु माणीआ ॥६॥
Hik bẖorī naḏar nihāl ḏėh ḏaras rang māṇī▫ā. ||6||
Please bless me with Your Glance of Grace, even for an instant; please bless me with Your Darshan, that I may revel in Your Love. ||6||

ਜੈ ਡਿਠੇ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰੀਐ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਵੰਞਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਦੂਰੇ
जै डिठे मनु धीरीऐ किलविख वंञन्हि दूरे ॥
Jai diṯẖe man ḏẖīrī▫ai kilvikẖ vaʼnñniĥ ḏūre.
Seeing Him, my mind is comforted and consoled, and my sins and mistakes are far removed.

ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਮਾਉ ਮੈ ਜੋ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥੭॥
सो किउ विसरै माउ मै जो रहिआ भरपूरे ॥७॥
So ki▫o visrai mā▫o mai jo rahi▫ā bẖarpūre. ||7||
How could I ever forget Him, O my mother? He is permeating and pervading everywhere. ||7||

ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਢਹਿ ਪਈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ
होइ निमाणी ढहि पई मिलिआ सहजि सुभाइ ॥
Ho▫e nimāṇī dẖėh pa▫ī mili▫ā sahj subẖā▫e.
In humility, I bowed down in surrender to Him, and He naturally met me.

ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਇ ॥੮॥੧॥੪॥
पूरबि लिखिआ पाइआ नानक संत सहाइ ॥८॥१॥४॥
Pūrab likẖi▫ā pā▫i▫ā Nānak sanṯ sahā▫e. ||8||1||4||
I have received what was pre-ordained for me, O Nanak, with the help and assistance of the Saints. ||8||1||4||

ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ
सूही महला ५ ॥
Sūhī mėhlā 5.
Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਪੁਕਾਰਨਿ ਪੋਥੀਆ
सिम्रिति बेद पुराण पुकारनि पोथीआ ॥
Simriṯ beḏ purāṇ pukāran pothī▫ā.
The Simritees, the Vedas, the Puraanas and the other holy scriptures proclaim

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਭਿ ਕੂੜੁ ਗਾਲ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਛੀਆ ॥੧॥
नाम बिना सभि कूड़ु गाल्ही होछीआ ॥१॥
Nām binā sabẖ kūṛ gālĥī hocẖẖī▫ā. ||1||
that without the Naam, everything is false and worthless. ||1||

ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਭਗਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ
नामु निधानु अपारु भगता मनि वसै ॥
Nām niḏẖān apār bẖagṯā man vasai.
The infinite treasure of the Naam abides within the minds of the devotees.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਮੋਹੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जनम मरण मोहु दुखु साधू संगि नसै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Janam maraṇ moh ḏukẖ sāḏẖū sang nasai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Birth and death, attachment and suffering, are erased in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||Pause||

ਮੋਹਿ ਬਾਦਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਿ ਸਰਪਰ ਰੁੰਨਿਆ
मोहि बादि अहंकारि सरपर रुंनिआ ॥
Mohi bāḏ ahaʼnkār sarpar runni▫ā.
Those who indulge in attachment, conflict and egotism shall surely weep and cry.

ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਮੂਲਿ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥੨॥
सुखु न पाइन्हि मूलि नाम विछुंनिआ ॥२॥
Sukẖ na pā▫iniĥ mūl nām vicẖẖunni▫ā. ||2||
Those who are separated from the Naam shall never find any peace. ||2||

ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਧਾਰਿ ਬੰਧਨਿ ਬੰਧਿਆ
मेरी मेरी धारि बंधनि बंधिआ ॥
Merī merī ḏẖār banḏẖan banḏẖi▫ā.
Crying out, "Mine! Mine!", he is bound in bondage.

ਨਰਕਿ ਸੁਰਗਿ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੰਧਿਆ ॥੩॥
नरकि सुरगि अवतार माइआ धंधिआ ॥३॥
Narak surag avṯār mā▫i▫ā ḏẖanḏẖi▫ā. ||3||
Entangled in Maya, he is reincarnated in heaven and hell. ||3||

ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ
सोधत सोधत सोधि ततु बीचारिआ ॥
Soḏẖaṯ soḏẖaṯ soḏẖ ṯaṯ bīcẖāri▫ā.
Searching, searching, searching, I have come to understand the essence of reality.

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਸਰਪਰ ਹਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥
नाम बिना सुखु नाहि सरपर हारिआ ॥४॥
Nām binā sukẖ nāhi sarpar hāri▫ā. ||4||
Without the Naam, there is no peace at all, and the mortal will surely fail. ||4||
