ਭਾਗਠੜੇ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਘਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
भागठड़े हरि संत तुम्हारे जिन्ह घरि धनु हरि नामा ॥
Bẖāgṯẖaṛe har sanṯ ṯumĥāre jinĥ gẖar ḏẖan har nāmā.
Your Saints are very fortunate; their homes are filled with the wealth of the Lord's Name.

ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਗਣੀ ਸੇਈ ਇਹ ਆਏ ਸਫਲ ਤਿਨਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੧॥
परवाणु गणी सेई इह आए सफल तिना के कामा ॥१॥
Parvāṇ gaṇī se▫ī ih ā▫e safal ṯinā ke kāmā. ||1||
Their birth is approved, and their actions are fruitful. ||1||
|
ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
मेरे राम हरि जन कै हउ बलि जाई ॥
Mere rām har jan kai ha▫o bal jā▫ī.
O my Lord, I am a sacrifice to the humble servants of the Lord.

ਕੇਸਾ ਕਾ ਕਰਿ ਚਵਰੁ ਢੁਲਾਵਾ ਚਰਣ ਧੂੜਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
केसा का करि चवरु ढुलावा चरण धूड़ि मुखि लाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kesā kā kar cẖavar dẖulāvā cẖaraṇ ḏẖūṛ mukẖ lā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I make my hair into a fan, and wave it over them; I apply the dust of their feet to my face. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਹਹੂ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਨ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਆਏ ॥
जनम मरण दुहहू महि नाही जन परउपकारी आए ॥
Janam maraṇ ḏuhhū mėh nāhī jan par▫upkārī ā▫e.
Those generous, humble beings are above both birth and death.
|
ਜੀਅ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਇਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਲੈਨਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੨॥
जीअ दानु दे भगती लाइनि हरि सिउ लैनि मिलाए ॥२॥
Jī▫a ḏān ḏe bẖagṯī lā▫in har si▫o lain milā▫e. ||2||
They give the gift of the soul, and practice devotional worship; they inspire others to meet the Lord. ||2||
|
ਸਚਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਸਚੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ਸਚੇ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
सचा अमरु सची पातिसाही सचे सेती राते ॥
Sacẖā amar sacẖī pāṯisāhī sacẖe seṯī rāṯe.
True are their commands, and true are their empires; they are attuned to the Truth.

ਸਚਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਚੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸੇ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੩॥
सचा सुखु सची वडिआई जिस के से तिनि जाते ॥३॥
Sacẖā sukẖ sacẖī vadi▫ā▫ī jis ke se ṯin jāṯe. ||3||
True is their happiness, and true is their greatness. They know the Lord, to whom they belong. ||3||

ਪਖਾ ਫੇਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਢੋਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਪੀਸਣੁ ਪੀਸਿ ਕਮਾਵਾ ॥
पखा फेरी पाणी ढोवा हरि जन कै पीसणु पीसि कमावा ॥
Pakẖā ferī pāṇī dẖovā har jan kai pīsaṇ pīs kamāvā.
I wave the fan over them, carry water for them, and grind corn for the humble servants of the Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਸਿ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਦੇਖਣੁ ਪਾਵਾ ॥੪॥੭॥੫੪॥
नानक की प्रभ पासि बेनंती तेरे जन देखणु पावा ॥४॥७॥५४॥
Nānak kī parabẖ pās benanṯī ṯere jan ḏekẖaṇ pāvā. ||4||7||54||
Nanak offers this prayer to God - please, grant me the sight of Your humble servants. ||4||7||54||

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
पारब्रहम परमेसर सतिगुर आपे करणैहारा ॥
Pārbarahm parmesar saṯgur āpe karnaihārā.
The True Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Supreme Lord God; He Himself is the Creator Lord.

ਚਰਣ ਧੂੜਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
चरण धूड़ि तेरी सेवकु मागै तेरे दरसन कउ बलिहारा ॥१॥
Cẖaraṇ ḏẖūṛ ṯerī sevak māgai ṯere ḏarsan ka▫o balihārā. ||1||
Your servant begs for the dust of Your feet. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਜਿਉ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਰਹੀਐ ॥
मेरे राम राइ जिउ राखहि तिउ रहीऐ ॥
Mere rām rā▫e ji▫o rākẖahi ṯi▫o rahī▫ai.
O my Sovereign Lord, as You keep me, so do I remain.

ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
तुधु भावै ता नामु जपावहि सुखु तेरा दिता लहीऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧuḏẖ bẖāvai ṯā nām japāvėh sukẖ ṯerā ḏiṯā lahī▫ai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
When it pleases You, I chant Your Name. You alone can grant me peace. ||1||Pause||

ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭੁਗਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ॥
मुकति भुगति जुगति तेरी सेवा जिसु तूं आपि कराइहि ॥
Mukaṯ bẖugaṯ jugaṯ ṯerī sevā jis ṯūʼn āp karā▫ihi.
Liberation, comfort and proper lifestyle come from serving You; You alone cause us to serve You.

ਤਹਾ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੁ ਜਹ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਇਹਿ ॥੨॥
तहा बैकुंठु जह कीरतनु तेरा तूं आपे सरधा लाइहि ॥२॥
Ŧahā baikunṯẖ jah kīrṯan ṯerā ṯūʼn āpe sarḏẖā lā▫ihi. ||2||
That place is heaven, where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung. You Yourself instill faith into us. ||2||

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਵਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ॥
सिमरि सिमरि सिमरि नामु जीवा तनु मनु होइ निहाला ॥
Simar simar simar nām jīvā ṯan man ho▫e nihālā.
Meditating, meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Naam, I live; my mind and body are enraptured.

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੀਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੩॥
चरण कमल तेरे धोइ धोइ पीवा मेरे सतिगुर दीन दइआला ॥३॥
Cẖaraṇ kamal ṯere ḏẖo▫e ḏẖo▫e pīvā mere saṯgur ḏīn ḏa▫i▫ālā. ||3||
I wash Your Lotus Feet, and drink in this water, O my True Guru, O Merciful to the meek. ||3||

ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜਾਈ ਉਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਆ ॥
कुरबाणु जाई उसु वेला सुहावी जितु तुमरै दुआरै आइआ ॥
Kurbāṇ jā▫ī us velā suhāvī jiṯ ṯumrai ḏu▫ārai ā▫i▫ā.
I am a sacrifice to that most wonderful time when I came to Your Door.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੮॥੫੫॥
नानक कउ प्रभ भए क्रिपाला सतिगुरु पूरा पाइआ ॥४॥८॥५५॥
Nānak ka▫o parabẖ bẖa▫e kirpālā saṯgur pūrā pā▫i▫ā. ||4||8||55||
God has become compassionate to Nanak; I have found the Perfect True Guru. ||4||8||55||

Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਤੁਧੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਿਸਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਏ ॥
तुधु चिति आए महा अनंदा जिसु विसरहि सो मरि जाए ॥
Ŧuḏẖ cẖiṯ ā▫e mahā ananḏā jis visrahi so mar jā▫e.
When You come to mind, I am totally in bliss. One who forgets You might just as well be dead.

ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥
दइआलु होवहि जिसु ऊपरि करते सो तुधु सदा धिआए ॥१॥
Ḏa▫i▫āl hovėh jis ūpar karṯe so ṯuḏẖ saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫e. ||1||
That being, whom You bless with Your Mercy, O Creator Lord, constantly meditates on You. ||1||
|
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੂੰ ਮੈ ਮਾਣੁ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ॥
मेरे साहिब तूं मै माणु निमाणी ॥
Mere sāhib ṯūʼn mai māṇ nimāṇī.
O my Lord and Master, You are the honor of the dishonored such as me.

ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਕਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਆਗੈ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
अरदासि करी प्रभ अपने आगै सुणि सुणि जीवा तेरी बाणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Arḏās karī parabẖ apne āgai suṇ suṇ jīvā ṯerī baṇī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I offer my prayer to You, God; listening, listening to the Word of Your Bani, I live. ||1||Pause||

ਚਰਣ ਧੂੜਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਹੋਵਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
चरण धूड़ि तेरे जन की होवा तेरे दरसन कउ बलि जाई ॥
Cẖaraṇ ḏẖūṛ ṯere jan kī hovā ṯere ḏarsan ka▫o bal jā▫ī.
May I become the dust of the feet of Your humble servants. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਉ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥
अम्रित बचन रिदै उरि धारी तउ किरपा ते संगु पाई ॥२॥
Amriṯ bacẖan riḏai ur ḏẖārī ṯa▫o kirpā ṯe sang pā▫ī. ||2||
I enshrine Your Ambrosial Word within my heart. By Your Grace, I have found the Company of the Holy. ||2||
|
ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਪਹਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
अंतर की गति तुधु पहि सारी तुधु जेवडु अवरु न कोई ॥
Anṯar kī gaṯ ṯuḏẖ pėh sārī ṯuḏẖ jevad avar na ko▫ī.
I place the state of my inner being before You; there is no other as great as You.
|
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਲਾਇ ਲੈਹਿ ਸੋ ਲਾਗੈ ਭਗਤੁ ਤੁਹਾਰਾ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥
जिस नो लाइ लैहि सो लागै भगतु तुहारा सोई ॥३॥
Jis no lā▫e laihi so lāgai bẖagaṯ ṯuhārā so▫ī. ||3||
He alone is attached, whom You attach; he alone is Your devotee. ||3||
|
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਮਾਗਉ ਇਕੁ ਦਾਨਾ ਸਾਹਿਬਿ ਤੁਠੈ ਪਾਵਾ ॥
दुइ कर जोड़ि मागउ इकु दाना साहिबि तुठै पावा ॥
Ḏu▫e kar joṛ māga▫o ik ḏānā sāhib ṯuṯẖai pāvā.
With my palms pressed together, I beg for this one gift; O my Lord and Master, if it pleases You, I shall obtain it.

ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ॥੪॥੯॥੫੬॥
सासि सासि नानकु आराधे आठ पहर गुण गावा ॥४॥९॥५६॥
Sās sās Nānak ārāḏẖe āṯẖ pahar guṇ gāvā. ||4||9||56||
With each and every breath, Nanak adores You; twenty-four hours a day, I sing Your Glorious Praises. ||4||9||56||

ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋ ਦੁਖੁ ਕੈਸਾ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
जिस के सिर ऊपरि तूं सुआमी सो दुखु कैसा पावै ॥
Jis ke sir ūpar ṯūʼn su▫āmī so ḏukẖ kaisā pāvai.
When You stand over our heads, O Lord and Master, how can we suffer in pain?

ਬੋਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਰਣਾ ਚੀਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
बोलि न जाणै माइआ मदि माता मरणा चीति न आवै ॥१॥
Bol na jāṇai mā▫i▫ā maḏ māṯā marṇā cẖīṯ na āvai. ||1||
The mortal being does not know how to chant Your Name - he is intoxicated with the wine of Maya, and the thought of death does not even enter his mind. ||1||
|
ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਤੂੰ ਸੰਤਾ ਕਾ ਸੰਤ ਤੇਰੇ ॥
मेरे राम राइ तूं संता का संत तेरे ॥
Mere rām rā▫e ṯūʼn sanṯā kā sanṯ ṯere.
O my Sovereign Lord, You belong to the Saints, and the Saints belong to You.
