ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ ਬਿਸਥਾਰਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਧਾਤੂ ਪੰਚ ਆਪਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
हरि आपे पंच ततु बिसथारा विचि धातू पंच आपि पावै ॥
Har āpe pancẖ ṯaṯ bisthārā vicẖ ḏẖāṯū pancẖ āp pāvai.
God Himself evolves the world of five elements and Himself He infuses the five senses therein.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਝਗਰੁ ਚੁਕਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੩॥
जन नानक सतिगुरु मेले आपे हरि आपे झगरु चुकावै ॥२॥३॥
Jan Nānak saṯgur mele āpe har āpe jẖagar cẖukẖāvai. ||2||3||
O slave Nanak, the Lord Himself unites man with the True Guru and Himself He settles the strifes.

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥
जपि मन राम नामु निसतारा ॥
Jap man rām nām nisṯārā.
O my soul, contemplating the Lord's Name, emancipation is obtained.

ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟੰਤਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਿ ਖੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
कोट कोटंतर के पाप सभि खोवै हरि भवजलु पारि उतारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kot kotanṯar ke pāp sabẖ kẖovai har bẖavjal pār uṯārā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
God destroys all the sins of millions man across the fearful world ocean. Pause.

ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰਿ ਬਸਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ ॥
काइआ नगरि बसत हरि सुआमी हरि निरभउ निरवैरु निरंकारा ॥
Kā▫i▫ā nagar basaṯ har su▫āmī har nirbẖa▫o nirvair nirankārā.
The Fear-free Uninimical and Formless God, the Lord Master abides in the body village.

ਹਰਿ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬਸਤ ਕਛੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਧਾ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
हरि निकटि बसत कछु नदरि न आवै हरि लाधा गुर वीचारा ॥१॥
Har nikat basaṯ kacẖẖ naḏar na āvai har lāḏẖā gur vīcẖārā. ||1||
God live near, but is seen not. By the Guru's counsel the Lord is obtained.

ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਰਾਫੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹੀਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ॥
हरि आपे साहु सराफु रतनु हीरा हरि आपि कीआ पासारा ॥
Har āpe sāhu sarāf raṯan hīrā har āp kī▫ā pāsārā.
God Himself is the Banker, Jeweler, jewel and gem and He Himself has make the entire expanse.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਹਾਝੇ ਸੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਚਾ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੪॥
नानक जिसु क्रिपा करे सु हरि नामु विहाझे सो साहु सचा वणजारा ॥२॥४॥
Nānak jis kirpā kare so har nām vihājẖe so sāhu sacẖā vaṇjārā. ||2||4||
Nanak, he to whom God shows mercy deals in His Name, He alone is the true banker and the true trader.

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ ॥

Jap man har niranjan nirankārā.
O man, meditate thou on the Immaculate, Formless Lord.

ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सदा सदा हरि धिआईऐ सुखदाता जा का अंतु न पारावारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Saḏā saḏā har ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai sukẖ▫ḏāṯa jā kā anṯ na pārāvārā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Ever and at all times, dwell, whose extent and limit are not know. Pause.

ਅਗਨਿ ਕੁੰਟ ਮਹਿ ਉਰਧ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਉਦਰ ਮੰਝਾਰਾ ॥
अगनि कुंट महि उरध लिव लागा हरि राखै उदर मंझारा ॥
Agan kunt mėh uraḏẖ liv lāgā har rākẖai uḏar manjẖārā.
When hanging upside down, thou wert absorbed in the Lord's love in the pit of fire, He preserved thee in the womb.

ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਛਡਾਵਣਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
सो ऐसा हरि सेवहु मेरे मन हरि अंति छडावणहारा ॥१॥
So aisā har sevhu mere man har anṯ cẖẖadāvaṇhārā. ||1||
O my soul, serve thou such Lord God, who shall be thy Deliverer in the end.

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਬਸਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਾ ॥
जा कै हिरदै बसिआ मेरा हरि हरि तिसु जन कउ करहु नमसकारा ॥
Jā kai hirḏai basi▫ā merā har har ṯis jan ka▫o karahu namaskārā.
He, within whose mind my Lord Master abides, make thou obeisance unto that person.

ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੫॥
हरि किरपा ते पाईऐ हरि जपु नानक नामु अधारा ॥२॥५॥
Har kirpā ṯe pā▫ī▫ai har jap Nānak nām aḏẖārā. ||2||5||
By God's grace alone, the Lord's meditation and the support of His Name are obtained, O Nanak.

Jap man har har nām niṯ ḏẖi▫ā▫e.
O my soul day repeat and remember thou the Lord Master's Name.

ਜੋ ਇਛਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जो इछहि सोई फलु पावहि फिरि दूखु न लागै आइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jo icẖẖėh so▫ī fal pāvahi fir ḏūkẖ na lāgai ā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Thou shalt obtain the fruits which thou desires and pain shall touch thee not, again. Pause.
|
ਸੋ ਜਪੁ ਸੋ ਤਪੁ ਸਾ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਪੂਜਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਇ ॥
सो जपु सो तपु सा ब्रत पूजा जितु हरि सिउ प्रीति लगाइ ॥
So jap so ṯap sā baraṯ pūjā jiṯ har si▫o parīṯ lagā▫e.
That is the true meditation, true austerity, true fasting and true worship, whereby affection with the Lord's is contracted.

ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਭ ਝੂਠੀ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
बिनु हरि प्रीति होर प्रीति सभ झूठी इक खिन महि बिसरि सभ जाइ ॥१॥
Bin har parīṯ hor parīṯ sabẖ jẖūṯẖī ik kẖin mėh bisar sabẖ jā▫e. ||1||
Without Lord's love every other love is false, in an instant, it is all forgotten.

ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
तू बेअंतु सरब कल पूरा किछु कीमति कही न जाइ ॥
Ŧū be▫anṯ sarab kal pūrā kicẖẖ kīmaṯ kahī na jā▫e.
Thou art Infinite and Master of all the powers. Thy worth cannot even be slightly described.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੨॥੬॥
नानक सरणि तुम्हारी हरि जीउ भावै तिवै छडाइ ॥२॥६॥
Nānak saraṇ ṯumĥārī har jī▫o bẖāvai ṯivai cẖẖadā▫e. ||2||6||
O reverend Lord, Nanak has entered Thine sanctuary. As Thou likest, so Thou unite him with Thee.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
There is One God. By True Guru's grace is He obtained.
|
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਇਓ ॥
संत जना मिलि हरि जसु गाइओ ॥
Sanṯ janā mil har jas gā▫i▫o.
Associating with the pious persons, sing thou the Lord's praise.
|
ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੂਖ ਗਵਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
कोटि जनम के दूख गवाइओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kot janam ke ḏūkẖ gavā▫i▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Thus shalt thou be rid of the pain of millions of births. Pause.
|
ਜੋ ਚਾਹਤ ਸੋਈ ਮਨਿ ਪਾਇਓ ॥
जो चाहत सोई मनि पाइओ ॥
Jo cẖāhaṯ so▫ī man pā▫i▫o.
What thy heart desires, that is like-wise obtained.
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿਵਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
करि किरपा हरि नामु दिवाइओ ॥१॥
Kar kirpā har nām divā▫i▫o. ||1||
In their mercy, the saints bless me with the God's Name.
|
ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਾਈ ॥
सरब सूख हरि नामि वडाई ॥
Sarab sūkẖ har nām vadā▫ī.
All happiness and greatness abide in the Lord's Name.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥
गुर प्रसादि नानक मति पाई ॥२॥१॥७॥
Gur parsāḏ Nānak maṯ pā▫ī. ||2||1||7||
By Guru's grace, Nanak, has obtained this understanding.
