ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
हरि हरि चरन रिदै उर धारे ॥
Har har cẖaran riḏai ur ḏẖāre.
The Lord God's feet, I have enshrined within my mind and heart.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਫਲ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सिमरि सुआमी सतिगुरु अपुना कारज सफल हमारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Simar su▫āmī saṯgur apunā kāraj safal hamāre. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Contemplating my Master, the True Guru, mine affairs have been adjusted. Pause.

ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਪੂਜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
पुंन दान पूजा परमेसुर हरि कीरति ततु बीचारे ॥
Punn ḏān pūjā parmesur har kīraṯ ṯaṯ bīcẖāre.
Alms, charity and worship lie in the praise of the Supreme Lord Master. This is the essence of wisdom.

ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਤੁਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
गुन गावत अतुल सुखु पाइआ ठाकुर अगम अपारे ॥१॥
Gun gāvaṯ aṯul sukẖ pā▫i▫ā ṯẖākur agam apāre. ||1||
Singing the praise of the Unapproachable and Infinite Lord, I have obtained immeasurable peace.

ਜੋ ਜਨ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੀਨੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਬਾਹੁਰਿ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
जो जन पारब्रहमि अपने कीने तिन का बाहुरि कछु न बीचारे ॥
Jo jan pārbarahm apne kīne ṯin kā bāhur kacẖẖ na bīcẖāre.
The persons, whom the Transcendent Lord, once, makes His own, their merits and demerits He, again, considers not.

ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਨਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੰਠ ਮਝਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੩੦॥
नाम रतनु सुनि जपि जपि जीवा हरि नानक कंठ मझारे ॥२॥११॥३०॥
Nām raṯan sun jap jap jīvā har Nānak kanṯẖ majẖāre. ||2||11||30||
Hearing remembering and contemplating the Name jewel, live I Nanak wears the Lord around his neck.

|
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
There is but One God. By True Guru's grace is He obtained.
|
ਕਹਉ ਕਹਾ ਅਪਨੀ ਅਧਮਾਈ ॥
कहउ कहा अपनी अधमाई ॥
Kaha▫o kahā apnī aḏẖmā▫ī.
What should I say regarding my baseness?
|
ਉਰਝਿਓ ਕਨਕ ਕਾਮਨੀ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਨਹ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
उरझिओ कनक कामनी के रस नह कीरति प्रभ गाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Urjẖi▫o kanak kāmnī ke ras nah kīraṯ parabẖ gā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I am entangled in the love of gold and woman and have not sung the Lord's praise. Pause.
|
ਜਗ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਉ ਸਾਚੁ ਜਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਰੁਚ ਉਪਜਾਈ ॥
जग झूठे कउ साचु जानि कै ता सिउ रुच उपजाई ॥
Jag jẖūṯẖe ka▫o sācẖ jān kai ṯā si▫o rucẖ upjā▫ī.
Deeming the false world to be true, I have contracted love with that.

ਦੀਨ ਬੰਧ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਕਬਹੂ ਹੋਤ ਜੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥
दीन बंध सिमरिओ नही कबहू होत जु संगि सहाई ॥१॥
Ḏīn banḏẖ simri▫o nahī kabhū hoṯ jo sang sahā▫ī. ||1||
I have not, ever, remembered the Friend of the poor, who shall be my companion and helper.

ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿਓ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੈ ਨਿਸ ਦਿਨਿ ਛੁਟੀ ਨ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਕਾਈ ॥
मगन रहिओ माइआ मै निस दिनि छुटी न मन की काई ॥
Magan rahi▫o mā▫i▫ā mai nis ḏin cẖẖutī na man kī kā▫ī.
Night and day, I remain absorbed in the worldly valuables and my mind's filth forsakes me not.

ਕਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਬ ਨਾਹਿ ਅਨਤ ਗਤਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾਈ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੧॥
कहि नानक अब नाहि अनत गति बिनु हरि की सरनाई ॥२॥१॥३१॥
Kahi Nānak ab nāhi anaṯ gaṯ bin har kī sarnā▫ī. ||2||1||31||
Says Nanak, without seeking the Lord's refuge I cannot now obtain salvation in any other way.

ਟੋਡੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਕੀ
टोडी बाणी भगतां की
Todī baṇī bẖagṯāʼn kī
Todi Hymns of the saints.
|
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
There is but One God. By True Guru's grace is He obtained.
|
ਕੋਈ ਬੋਲੈ ਨਿਰਵਾ ਕੋਈ ਬੋਲੈ ਦੂਰਿ ॥
कोई बोलै निरवा कोई बोलै दूरि ॥
Ko▫ī bolai nirvā ko▫ī bolai ḏūr.
Some say the Lord is near and some say He is afar.
|
ਜਲ ਕੀ ਮਾਛੁਲੀ ਚਰੈ ਖਜੂਰਿ ॥੧॥
जल की माछुली चरै खजूरि ॥१॥
Jal kī mācẖẖulī cẖarai kẖajūr. ||1||
This amounts to saying that the fish of water is up climbing a date-tree.
|
ਕਾਂਇ ਰੇ ਬਕਬਾਦੁ ਲਾਇਓ ॥
कांइ रे बकबादु लाइओ ॥
Kāʼn▫e re bakbāḏ lā▫i▫o.
O man, why talkest thou nonsense?
|
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਛਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जिनि हरि पाइओ तिनहि छपाइओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jin har pā▫i▫o ṯinėh cẖẖapā▫i▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He, who finds the Lord, conceals he this fact. Pause.
|
ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਬੇਦੁ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥
पंडितु होइ कै बेदु बखानै ॥
Pandiṯ ho▫e kai beḏ bakẖānai.
Becoming a Pandit thou utterest the Vedas,
|
ਮੂਰਖੁ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੨॥੧॥
मूरखु नामदेउ रामहि जानै ॥२॥१॥
Mūrakẖ nāmḏe▫o rāmėh jānai. ||2||1||
but, ignorant Namdev knows only the Lord.
|
ਕਉਨ ਕੋ ਕਲੰਕੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੇਤ ਹੀ ॥
कउन को कलंकु रहिओ राम नामु लेत ही ॥
Ka▫un ko kalank rahi▫o rām nām leṯ hī.
Whose stain of sin, pray, ever lingers, who uttereth the Lord's Name?

ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਿਤ ਭਏ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਹਤ ਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
पतित पवित भए रामु कहत ही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Paṯiṯ paviṯ bẖa▫e rām kahaṯ hī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The sinners become pure by uttering the Lord's Name. Pause.
|
ਰਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਤਗਿਆ ਆਈ ॥
राम संगि नामदेव जन कउ प्रतगिआ आई ॥
Rām sang Nāmḏev jan ka▫o parṯagi▫ā ā▫ī.
In the company of the Lord's slave Namdev has acquired faith.
|
ਏਕਾਦਸੀ ਬ੍ਰਤੁ ਰਹੈ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਤੀਰਥ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
एकादसी ब्रतु रहै काहे कउ तीरथ जाईं ॥१॥
Ėkāḏasī baraṯ rahai kāhe ka▫o ṯirath jā▫īʼn. ||1||
He has ceased to fast on the eleventh lunar day. Why should he go no pilgrimage to shrines.
|
ਭਨਤਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਭਏ ॥
भनति नामदेउ सुक्रित सुमति भए ॥
Bẖanaṯ nāmḏe▫o sukariṯ sumaṯ bẖa▫e.
Says Namdev, I have now become a man of good deeds and good thoughts.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਹਿ ਕੋ ਕੋ ਨ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਗਏ ॥੨॥੨॥
गुरमति रामु कहि को को न बैकुंठि गए ॥२॥२॥
Gurmaṯ rām kahi ko ko na baikunṯẖ ga▫e. ||2||2||
Who has ever not gone to heaven by uttering the Lord's Name, under Guru's instruction?
|
ਤੀਨਿ ਛੰਦੇ ਖੇਲੁ ਆਛੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
तीनि छंदे खेलु आछै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧīn cẖẖanḏe kẖel ācẖẖai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
This verse narrates the play of three good illustration. Pause.
|
ਕੁੰਭਾਰ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਹਾਂਡੀ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਸਾਂਡੀ ਗੋ ॥
कु्मभार के घर हांडी आछै राजा के घर सांडी गो ॥
Kumbẖār ke gẖar hāʼndī ācẖẖai rājā ke gẖar sāʼndī go.
In the potter's home are pots and in the King home, the she-camels.

ਬਾਮਨ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਰਾਂਡੀ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਂਡੀ ਸਾਂਡੀ ਹਾਂਡੀ ਗੋ ॥੧॥
बामन के घर रांडी आछै रांडी सांडी हांडी गो ॥१॥
Bāman ke gẖar rāʼndī ācẖẖai rāʼndī sāʼndī hāʼndī go. ||1||
In a Brahman's house are widows. Say thou the widows, she-camels and pots.
|
ਬਾਣੀਏ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਹੀਂਗੁ ਆਛੈ ਭੈਸਰ ਮਾਥੈ ਸੀਂਗੁ ਗੋ ॥
बाणीए के घर हींगु आछै भैसर माथै सींगु गो ॥
Bāṇī▫e ke gẖar hīʼng ācẖẖai bẖaisar māthai sīʼng go.
A grocer's home has asafoetida and the he-buffaloe has horn on the forehead.

ਦੇਵਲ ਮਧੇ ਲੀਗੁ ਆਛੈ ਲੀਗੁ ਸੀਗੁ ਹੀਗੁ ਗੋ ॥੨॥
देवल मधे लीगु आछै लीगु सीगु हीगु गो ॥२॥
Ḏeval maḏẖe līg ācẖẖai līg sīg hīg go. ||2||
In Shiva's temple is a lingam, Yea, say thou the lingam, the horn and asafetida.
|
ਤੇਲੀ ਕੈ ਘਰ ਤੇਲੁ ਆਛੈ ਜੰਗਲ ਮਧੇ ਬੇਲ ਗੋ ॥
तेली कै घर तेलु आछै जंगल मधे बेल गो ॥
Ŧelī kai gẖar ṯel ācẖẖai jangal maḏẖe bel go.
Oil is in an oilman's house and there is creeper in the forest.
|
ਮਾਲੀ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਕੇਲ ਆਛੈ ਕੇਲ ਬੇਲ ਤੇਲ ਗੋ ॥੩॥
माली के घर केल आछै केल बेल तेल गो ॥३॥
Mālī ke gẖar kel ācẖẖai kel bel ṯel go. ||3||
Plantain is in the gardener's home. Say thou plantain, creeper and oil.
|
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਮਧੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਆਛੈ ਗੋਕਲ ਮਧੇ ਸਿਆਮ ਗੋ ॥
संतां मधे गोबिंदु आछै गोकल मधे सिआम गो ॥
Sanṯāʼn maḏẖe gobinḏ ācẖẖai gokal maḏẖe si▫ām go.
The Lord is within the saints mind and Krishna in Gokal.
|
ਨਾਮੇ ਮਧੇ ਰਾਮੁ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਆਮ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋ ॥੪॥੩॥
नामे मधे रामु आछै राम सिआम गोबिंद गो ॥४॥३॥
Nāme maḏẖe rām ācẖẖai rām si▫ām gobinḏ go. ||4||3||
God is in Namdev, Say thou the Lord, Krishna and God.
