ਆਗਿਆ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਮੀਠੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਕੀਓ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਭਾਵਉ ॥
Āgi▫ā ṯumrī mīṯẖī lāga▫o kī▫o ṯuhāro bẖāva▫o.
Your Will seems so sweet to me; whatever You do, is pleasing to me.

ਜੋ ਤੂ ਦੇਹਿ ਤਹੀ ਇਹੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ ਆਨ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਧਾਵਉ ॥੨॥
Jo ṯū ḏėh ṯahī ih ṯaripṯai ān na kaṯhū ḏẖāva▫o. ||2||
Whatever You give me, with that I am satisfied; I shall chase after no one else. ||2||
|
ਸਦ ਹੀ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਜਾਨਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਗਲ ਰੇਣ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੀਐ ॥
Saḏ hī nikat jān▫o parabẖ su▫āmī sagal reṇ ho▫e rahī▫ai.
I know that my Lord and Master God is always with me; I am the dust of all men's feet.

ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੩॥
Sāḏẖū sangaṯ ho▫e parāpaṯ ṯā parabẖ apunā lahī▫ai. ||3||
If I find the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I shall obtain God. ||3||
|
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਮ ਛੋਹਰੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਤੂ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਮਰੋ ਮੀਰਾ ॥
Saḏā saḏā ham cẖẖohre ṯumre ṯū parabẖ hamro mīrā.
Forever and ever, I am Your child; You are my God, my King.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰੋ ਖੀਰਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੫॥
Nānak bārik ṯum māṯ piṯā mukẖ nām ṯumāro kẖīrā. ||4||3||5||
Nanak is Your child; You are my mother and father; please, give me Your Name, like milk in my mouth. ||4||3||5||

ਮਾਗਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨਾਮ ॥
Māga▫o ḏān ṯẖākur nām.
I beg for the Gift of Your Name, O my Lord and Master.

ਅਵਰੁ ਕਛੂ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਮਿਲੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Avar kacẖẖū merai sang na cẖālai milai kirpā guṇ gām. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Nothing else shall go along with me in the end; by Your Grace, please allow me to sing Your Glorious Praises. ||1||Pause||

ਰਾਜੁ ਮਾਲੁ ਅਨੇਕ ਭੋਗ ਰਸ ਸਗਲ ਤਰਵਰ ਕੀ ਛਾਮ ॥
Rāj māl anek bẖog ras sagal ṯarvar kī cẖẖām.
Power, wealth, various pleasures and enjoyments, all are just like the shadow of a tree.

ਧਾਇ ਧਾਇ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਉ ਧਾਵੈ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਰਾਰਥ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥
Ḏẖā▫e ḏẖā▫e baho biḏẖ ka▫o ḏẖāvai sagal nirārath kām. ||1||
He runs, runs, runs around in many directions, but all of his pursuits are useless. ||1||
|
ਬਿਨੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਵਰੁ ਜੇ ਚਾਹਉ ਦੀਸੈ ਸਗਲ ਬਾਤ ਹੈ ਖਾਮ ॥
Bin govinḏ avar je cẖāha▫o ḏīsai sagal bāṯ hai kẖām.
Except for the Lord of the Universe, everything he desires appears transitory.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਨ ਮਾਗਉ ਮੇਰੋ ਮਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥੧॥੬॥
Kaho Nānak sanṯ ren māga▫o mero man pāvai bisrām. ||2||1||6||
Says Nanak, I beg for the dust of the feet of the Saints, so that my mind may find peace and tranquility. ||2||1||6||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਾਧਾਰੈ ॥
Parabẖ jī ko nām manėh saḏẖārai.
The Naam, the Name of the Dear Lord, is the Support of my mind.
|
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੂਖ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਬਰਤਨਿ ਏਹ ਹਮਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jī▫a parān sūkẖ is man ka▫o barṯan eh hamārai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
It is my life, my breath of life, my peace of mind; for me, it is an article of daily use. ||1||Pause||

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਪਰਵਾਰੈ ॥
Nām jāṯ nām merī paṯ hai nām merai parvārai.
The Naam is my social status, the Naam is my honor; the Naam is my family.

ਨਾਮੁ ਸਖਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
Nām sakẖā▫ī saḏā merai sang har nām mo ka▫o nisṯārai. ||1||
The Naam is my companion; it is always with me. The Lord's Name is my emancipation. ||1||
|
ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਕਹੀਅਤ ਬਹੁਤੇਰੇ ਚਲਤ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਸੰਗਾਰੈ ॥
Bikẖai bilās kahī▫aṯ bahuṯere cẖalaṯ na kacẖẖū sangāre.
Sensual pleasures are talked about a lot, but none of them goes along with anyone in the end.

ਇਸਟੁ ਮੀਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਭੰਡਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੭॥
Isat mīṯ nām Nānak ko har nām merai bẖandārai. ||2||2||7||
The Naam is Nanak's dearest friend; the Lord's Name is my treasure. ||2||2||7||

Todee, Fifth Mehl:

ਨੀਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ਮਿਟਹੀ ਰੋਗ ॥
Nīke guṇ gā▫o mithī rog.
Sing the sublime Praises of the Lord, and your disease shall be eradicated.
|
ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੋ ਰਹੈ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਲੋਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Mukẖ ūjal man nirmal ho▫ī hai ṯero rahai īhā ūhā log. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Your face shall become radiant and bright, and your mind shall be immaculately pure. You shall be saved here and hereafter. ||1||Pause||

ਚਰਨ ਪਖਾਰਿ ਕਰਉ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਚਰਾਵਉ ਭੋਗ ॥
Cẖaran pakẖār kara▫o gur sevā manėh cẖarāva▫o bẖog.
I wash the Guru's feet and serve Him; I dedicate my mind as an offering to Him.

ਛੋਡਿ ਆਪਤੁ ਬਾਦੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਜੋ ਹੋਗੁ ॥੧॥
Cẖẖod āpaṯ bāḏ ahaʼnkārā mān so▫ī jo hog. ||1||
Renounce self-conceit, negativity and egotism, and accept what comes to pass. ||1||
|
ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲ ਸੋਈ ਹੈ ਲਾਗਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਲਿਖੋਗੁ ॥
Sanṯ tahal so▫ī hai lāgā jis masṯak likẖi▫ā likẖog.
He alone commits himself to the service of the Saints, upon whose forehead such destiny is inscribed.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਏਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਰਣੈ ਜੋਗੁ ॥੨॥੩॥੮॥
Kaho Nānak ek bin ḏūjā avar na karṇai jog. ||2||3||8||
Says Nanak, other than the One Lord, there is not any other able to act. ||2||3||8||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਇਓ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ॥
Saṯgur ā▫i▫o saraṇ ṯuhārī.
O True Guru, I have come to Your Sanctuary.

ਮਿਲੈ ਸੂਖੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਲਾਹਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Milai sūkẖ nām har sobẖā cẖinṯā lāhi hamārī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Grant me the peace and glory of the Lord's Name, and remove my anxiety. ||1||Pause||

ਅਵਰ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਦੂਜੀ ਠਾਹਰ ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਤਉ ਦੁਆਰੀ ॥
Avar na sūjẖai ḏūjī ṯẖāhar hār pari▫o ṯa▫o ḏu▫ārī.
I cannot see any other place of shelter; I have grown weary, and collapsed at Your door.

ਲੇਖਾ ਛੋਡਿ ਅਲੇਖੈ ਛੂਟਹ ਹਮ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਲੇਹੁ ਉਬਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
Lekẖā cẖẖod alekẖai cẖẖūtah ham nirgun leho ubārī. ||1||
Please ignore my account; only then may I be saved. I am worthless - please, save me! ||1||
|
ਸਦ ਬਖਸਿੰਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਦੇਇ ਅਧਾਰੀ ॥
Saḏ bakẖsinḏ saḏā miharvānā sabẖnā ḏe▫e aḏẖārī.
You are always forgiving, and always merciful; You give support to all.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਛੈ ਪਰਿਓ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਇਹ ਬਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੪॥੯॥
Nānak ḏās sanṯ pācẖẖai pari▫o rākẖ leho ih bārī. ||2||4||9||
Slave Nanak follows the Path of the Saints; save him, O Lord, this time. ||2||4||9||

My tongue sings the Praises of the Lord of the world, the ocean of virtue.

ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜੁ ਰਹਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੂਖ ਪਲਾਇਣ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sāʼnṯ sahj rahas man upji▫o sagle ḏūkẖ palā▫iṇ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Peace, tranquility, poise and delight well up in my mind, and all sorrows run away. ||1||Pause||
