भाहि बलंदड़ी बुझि गई रखंदड़ो प्रभु आपि ॥
Bẖāhi balanḏ▫ṛī bujẖ ga▫ī rakẖanḏ▫ṛo parabẖ āp.
The burning fire has been put out; God Himself has saved me.
जिनि उपाई मेदनी नानक सो प्रभु जापि ॥२॥
Jin upā▫ī meḏnī Nānak so parabẖ jāp. ||2||
Meditate on that God, O Nanak, who created the universe. ||2||
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:
जा प्रभ भए दइआल न बिआपै माइआ ॥
Jā parabẖ bẖa▫e ḏa▫i▫āl na bi▫āpai mā▫i▫ā.
When God becomes merciful, Maya does not cling.
कोटि अघा गए नास हरि इकु धिआइआ ॥
Kot agẖā ga▫e nās har ik ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
Millions of sins are eliminated, by meditating on the Naam, the Name of the One Lord.
निरमल भए सरीर जन धूरी नाइआ ॥
Nirmal bẖa▫e sarīr jan ḏẖūrī nā▫i▫ā.
The body is made immaculate and pure, bathing in the dust of the feet of the Lord's humble servants.
मन तन भए संतोख पूरन प्रभु पाइआ ॥
Man ṯan bẖa▫e sanṯokẖ pūran parabẖ pā▫i▫ā.
The mind and body become contented, finding the Perfect Lord God.
तरे कुट्मब संगि लोग कुल सबाइआ ॥१८॥
Ŧare kutamb sang log kul sabā▫i▫ā. ||18||
One is saved, along with his family, and all his ancestors. ||18||
सलोक ॥
Salok.
Shalok:
गुर गोबिंद गोपाल गुर गुर पूरन नाराइणह ॥
Gur gobinḏ gopāl gur gur pūran nārā▫iṇėh.
The Guru is the Lord of the Universe; the Guru is the Lord of the world; the Guru is the Perfect Pervading Lord God.
गुर दइआल समरथ गुर गुर नानक पतित उधारणह ॥१॥
Gur ḏa▫i▫āl samrath gur gur Nānak paṯiṯ uḏẖārṇėh. ||1||
The Guru is compassionate; the Guru is all-powerful; the Guru, O Nanak, is the Saving Grace of sinners. ||1||
भउजलु बिखमु असगाहु गुरि बोहिथै तारिअमु ॥
Bẖa▫ojal bikẖam asgāhu gur bohithai ṯāri▫am.
The Guru is the boat, to cross over the dangerous, treacherous, unfathomable world-ocean.
नानक पूर करम सतिगुर चरणी लगिआ ॥२॥
Nānak pūr karamm saṯgur cẖarṇī lagi▫ā. ||2||
O Nanak, by perfect good karma, one is attached to the feet of the True Guru. ||2||
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:
धंनु धंनु गुरदेव जिसु संगि हरि जपे ॥
Ḏẖan ḏẖan gurḏev jis sang har jape.
Blessed, blessed is the Divine Guru; associating with Him, one meditates on the Lord.
गुर क्रिपाल जब भए त अवगुण सभि छपे ॥
Gur kirpāl jab bẖa▫e ṯa avguṇ sabẖ cẖẖape.
When the Guru becomes merciful, then all one's demerits are dispelled.
पारब्रहम गुरदेव नीचहु उच थपे ॥
Pārbarahm gurḏev nīcẖahu ucẖ thape.
The Supreme Lord God, the Divine Guru, uplifts and exalts the lowly.
काटि सिलक दुख माइआ करि लीने अप दसे ॥
Kāt silak ḏukẖ mā▫i▫ā kar līne ap ḏase.
Cutting away the painful noose of Maya, He makes us His own slaves.
गुण गाए बेअंत रसना हरि जसे ॥१९॥
Guṇ gā▫e be▫anṯ rasnā har jase. ||19||
With my tongue, I sing the Glorious Praises of the infinite Lord God. ||19||
सलोक ॥
Salok.
Shalok:
द्रिसटंत एको सुनीअंत एको वरतंत एको नरहरह ॥
Ḏaristaʼnṯ eko sunī▫anṯ eko varṯanṯ eko narharėh.
I see only the One Lord; I hear only the One Lord; the One Lord is all-pervading.
नाम दानु जाचंति नानक दइआल पुरख क्रिपा करह ॥१॥
Nām ḏān jācẖanṯ Nānak ḏa▫i▫āl purakẖ kirpā karah. ||1||
Nanak begs for the gift of the Naam; O Merciful Lord God, please grant Your Grace. ||1||
हिकु सेवी हिकु समला हरि इकसु पहि अरदासि ॥
Hik sevī hik sammlā har ikas pėh arḏās.
I serve the One Lord, I contemplate the One Lord, and to the One Lord, I offer my prayer.
नाम वखरु धनु संचिआ नानक सची रासि ॥२॥
Nām vakẖar ḏẖan sancẖi▫ā Nānak sacẖī rās. ||2||
Nanak has gathered in the wealth, the merchandise of the Naam; this is the true capital. ||2||
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:
प्रभ दइआल बेअंत पूरन इकु एहु ॥
Parabẖ ḏa▫i▫āl be▫anṯ pūran ik ehu.
God is merciful and infinite. The One and Only is all-pervading.
सभु किछु आपे आपि दूजा कहा केहु ॥
Sabẖ kicẖẖ āpe āp ḏūjā kahā kehu.
He Himself is all-in-all. Who else can we speak of?
आपि करहु प्रभ दानु आपे आपि लेहु ॥
Āp karahu parabẖ ḏān āpe āp leho.
God Himself grants His gifts, and He Himself receives them.
आवण जाणा हुकमु सभु निहचलु तुधु थेहु ॥
Āvaṇ jāṇā hukam sabẖ nihcẖal ṯuḏẖ thehu.
Coming and going are all by the Hukam of Your Will; Your place is steady and unchanging.
नानकु मंगै दानु करि किरपा नामु देहु ॥२०॥१॥
Nānak mangai ḏān kar kirpā nām ḏeh. ||20||1||
Nanak begs for this gift; by Your Grace, Lord, please grant me Your Name. ||20||1||
जैतसरी बाणी भगता की
Jaiṯsarī baṇī bẖagṯā kī
Jaitsree, The Word Of The Devotees:
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
नाथ कछूअ न जानउ ॥
Nāth kacẖẖū▫a na jān▫o.
O my Lord and Master, I know nothing.
मनु माइआ कै हाथि बिकानउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Man mā▫i▫ā kai hāth bikāna▫o. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My mind has sold out, and is in Maya's hands. ||1||Pause||
तुम कहीअत हौ जगत गुर सुआमी ॥
Ŧum kahī▫aṯ hou jagaṯ gur su▫āmī.
You are called the Lord and Master, the Guru of the World.
हम कहीअत कलिजुग के कामी ॥१॥
Ham kahī▫aṯ kalijug ke kāmī. ||1||
I am called a lustful being of the Dark Age of Kali Yuga. ||1||
इन पंचन मेरो मनु जु बिगारिओ ॥
In pancẖan mero man jo bigāri▫o.
The five vices have corrupted my mind.
पलु पलु हरि जी ते अंतरु पारिओ ॥२॥
Pal pal har jī ṯe anṯar pāri▫o. ||2||
Moment by moment, they lead me further away from the Lord. ||2||
जत देखउ तत दुख की रासी ॥
Jaṯ ḏekẖ▫a▫u ṯaṯ ḏukẖ kī rāsī.
Wherever I look, I see loads of pain and suffering.
अजौं न पत्याइ निगम भए साखी ॥३॥
Ajouʼn na paṯ▫yā▫e nigam bẖa▫e sākẖī. ||3||
I do not have faith, even though the Vedas bear witness to the Lord. ||3||
गोतम नारि उमापति स्वामी ॥
Goṯam nār umāpaṯ savāmī.
Gautam's wife and the Lord Indra mated;
सीसु धरनि सहस भग गांमी ॥४॥
Sīs ḏẖaran sahas bẖag gāʼnmī. ||4||
Shiva cut off Brahma's head, Brahma's head got stuck to Shiva's hand, and Indra came to bear the marks of a thousand female organs. ||4||
इन दूतन खलु बधु करि मारिओ ॥
In ḏūṯan kẖal baḏẖ kar māri▫o.
These demons have fooled, bound and destroyed me.
बडो निलाजु अजहू नही हारिओ ॥५॥
Bado nilāj ajhū nahī hāri▫o. ||5||
I am very shameless - even now, I am not tired of them. ||5||
कहि रविदास कहा कैसे कीजै ॥
Kahi Raviḏās kahā kaise kījai.
Says Ravi Daas, what am I to do now?
बिनु रघुनाथ सरनि का की लीजै ॥६॥१॥
Bin ragẖunāth saran kā kī lījai. ||6||1||
Without the Sanctuary of the Lord's Protection, who else's should I seek? ||6||1||
