ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਜਿਸੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਵੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥
सतिगुर दीन दइआल जिसु संगि हरि गावीऐ जीउ ॥
Saṯgur ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl jis sang har gāvī▫ai jī▫o.
The True Guru is merciful to the meek; in His Presence, the Lord's Praises are sung.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਵੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥
अम्रितु हरि का नामु साधसंगि रावीऐ जीउ ॥
Amriṯ har kā nām sāḏẖsang rāvī▫ai jī▫o.
The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is chanted in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਭਜੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਇਕੁ ਅਰਾਧੂ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਸਏ ॥
भजु संगि साधू इकु अराधू जनम मरन दुख नासए ॥
Bẖaj sang sāḏẖū ik arāḏẖū janam maran ḏukẖ nās▫e.
Vibrating, and worshipping the One Lord in the Company of the Holy, the pains of birth and death are removed.

ਧੁਰਿ ਕਰਮੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸਾਚੁ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਕਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸਏ ॥
धुरि करमु लिखिआ साचु सिखिआ कटी जम की फासए ॥
Ḏẖur karam likẖi▫ā sācẖ sikẖi▫ā katī jam kī fās▫e.
Those who have such karma pre-ordained, study and learn the Truth; the noose of Death is removed from their necks.

ਭੈ ਭਰਮ ਨਾਠੇ ਛੁਟੀ ਗਾਠੇ ਜਮ ਪੰਥਿ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਆਵੀਐ ॥
भै भरम नाठे छुटी गाठे जम पंथि मूलि न आवीऐ ॥
Bẖai bẖaram nāṯẖe cẖẖutī gāṯẖe jam panth mūl na āvī▫ai.
Their fears and doubts are dispelled, the knot of death is untied, and they never have to walk on Death's path.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੀਐ ॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक धारि किरपा सदा हरि गुण गावीऐ ॥१॥
Binvanṯ Nānak ḏẖār kirpā saḏā har guṇ gāvī▫ai. ||1||
Prays Nanak, shower me with Your Mercy, Lord; let me sing Your Glorious Praises forever. ||1||

ਨਿਧਰਿਆ ਧਰ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੋ ਜੀਉ ॥
निधरिआ धर एकु नामु निरंजनो जीउ ॥
Niḏẖri▫ā ḏẖar ek nām niranjano jī▫o.
The Name of the One, Immaculate Lord is the Support of the unsupported.

ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੋ ਜੀਉ ॥
तू दाता दातारु सरब दुख भंजनो जीउ ॥
Ŧū ḏāṯā ḏāṯār sarab ḏukẖ bẖanjno jī▫o.
You are the Giver, the Great Giver, the Dispeller of all sorrow.

ਦੁਖ ਹਰਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਸੁਖਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਆਇਆ ॥
दुख हरत करता सुखह सुआमी सरणि साधू आइआ ॥
Ḏukẖ haraṯ karṯā sukẖah su▫āmī saraṇ sāḏẖū ā▫i▫ā.
O Destroyer of pain, Creator Lord, Master of peace and bliss, I have come seeking the Sanctuary of the Holy;

ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖੜਾ ਪਲ ਏਕ ਮਾਹਿ ਤਰਾਇਆ ॥
संसारु सागरु महा बिखड़ा पल एक माहि तराइआ ॥
Sansār sāgar mahā bikẖ▫ṛā pal ek māhi ṯarā▫i▫ā.
please, help me to cross over the terrifying and difficult world-ocean in an instant.

ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਰਬ ਥਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨੇਤ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਜਨੋ ॥
पूरि रहिआ सरब थाई गुर गिआनु नेत्री अंजनो ॥
Pūr rahi▫ā sarab thā▫ī gur gi▫ān neṯrī anjno.
I saw the Lord pervading and permeating everywhere, when the healing ointment of the Guru's wisdom was applied to my eyes.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰੀ ਸਰਬ ਦੁਖ ਭੈ ਭੰਜਨੋ ॥੨॥
बिनवंति नानक सदा सिमरी सरब दुख भै भंजनो ॥२॥
Binvanṯ Nānak saḏā simrī sarab ḏukẖ bẖai bẖanjno. ||2||
Prays Nanak, remember Him forever in meditation, the Destroyer of all sorrow and fear. ||2||

ਆਪਿ ਲੀਏ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
आपि लीए लड़ि लाइ किरपा धारीआ जीउ ॥
Āp lī▫e laṛ lā▫e kirpā ḏẖārī▫ā jī▫o.
He Himself has attached me to the hem of His robe; He has showered me with His Mercy.

ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਅਨਾਥੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੀਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
मोहि निरगुणु नीचु अनाथु प्रभ अगम अपारीआ जीउ ॥
Mohi nirguṇ nīcẖ anāth parabẖ agam āpārī▫ā jī▫o.
I am worthless, lowly and helpless; God is unfathomable and infinite.

ਦਇਆਲ ਸਦਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੀਚ ਥਾਪਣਹਾਰਿਆ ॥
दइआल सदा क्रिपाल सुआमी नीच थापणहारिआ ॥
Ḏa▫i▫āl saḏā kirpāl su▫āmī nīcẖ thāpaṇhāri▫ā.
My Lord and Master is always merciful, kind and compassionate; He uplifts and establishes the lowly.

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਵਸਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਸਗਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਰਿਆ ॥
जीअ जंत सभि वसि तेरै सगल तेरी सारिआ ॥
Jī▫a janṯ sabẖ vas ṯerai sagal ṯerī sāri▫ā.
All beings and creatures are under Your power; You take care of all.
|
ਆਪਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਭੁਗਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਸਗਲ ਬੀਚਾਰੀਆ ॥
आपि करता आपि भुगता आपि सगल बीचारीआ ॥
Āp karṯā āp bẖugṯā āp sagal bīcẖārī▫ā.
He Himself is the Creator, and He Himself is the Enjoyer; He Himself is the Contemplator of all.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਜੀਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਉ ਬਨਵਾਰੀਆ ॥੩॥
बिनवंत नानक गुण गाइ जीवा हरि जपु जपउ बनवारीआ ॥३॥
Binvanṯ Nānak guṇ gā▫e jīvā har jap japa▫o banvārī▫ā. ||3||
Prays Nanak, singing Your Glorious Praises, I live, chanting the Chant of the Lord, the Lord of the world-forest. ||3||

ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਮੋਲਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
तेरा दरसु अपारु नामु अमोलई जीउ ॥
Ŧerā ḏaras apār nām amola▫ī jī▫o.
The Blessed Vision of Your Darshan is incomparable; Your Name is utterly priceless.

ਨਿਤਿ ਜਪਹਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਤੋਲਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
निति जपहि तेरे दास पुरख अतोलई जीउ ॥
Niṯ jāpėh ṯere ḏās purakẖ aṯola▫ī jī▫o.
O my Incomputable Lord, Your humble servants ever meditate on You.
|
ਸੰਤ ਰਸਨ ਵੂਠਾ ਆਪਿ ਤੂਠਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਮਾਤਿਆ ॥
संत रसन वूठा आपि तूठा हरि रसहि सेई मातिआ ॥
Sanṯ rasan vūṯẖā āp ṯūṯẖā har rasėh se▫ī māṯi▫ā.
You dwell on the tongues of the Saints, by Your own pleasure; they are intoxicated with Your sublime essence, O Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਲਾਗੇ ਮਹਾ ਭਾਗੇ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗਿਆ ॥
गुर चरन लागे महा भागे सदा अनदिनु जागिआ ॥
Gur cẖaran lāge mahā bẖāge saḏā an▫ḏin jāgi▫ā.
Those who are attached to Your feet are very blessed; night and day, they remain always awake and aware.

ਸਦ ਸਦਾ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਤਬ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਗੁਣ ਬੋਲਈ ॥
सद सदा सिम्रतब्य सुआमी सासि सासि गुण बोलई ॥
Saḏ saḏā simarṯab▫y su▫āmī sās sās guṇ bol▫ī.
Forever and ever, meditate in remembrance on the Lord and Master; with each and every breath, speak His Glorious Praises.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧੂਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਮੋਲਈ ॥੪॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक धूरि साधू नामु प्रभू अमोलई ॥४॥१॥
Binvanṯ Nānak ḏẖūr sāḏẖū nām parabẖū amola▫ī. ||4||1||
Prays Nanak, let me become the dust of the feet of the Saints. God's Name is invaluable. ||4||1||

Sanak sanand mahes samānāʼn.
Beings like Sanak, Sanand, Shiva,
|
ਸੇਖਨਾਗਿ ਤੇਰੋ ਮਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੧॥
सेखनागि तेरो मरमु न जानां ॥१॥
Sekẖnāg ṯero maram na jānāʼn. ||1||
and Shaysh-naaga - none of them know Your mystery, Lord. ||1||
|
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
संतसंगति रामु रिदै बसाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sanṯsangaṯ rām riḏai basā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
In the Society of the Saints, the Lord dwells within the heart. ||1||Pause||
|
ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਸਰਿ ਗਰੁੜ ਸਮਾਨਾਂ ॥
हनूमान सरि गरुड़ समानां ॥
Hanūmān sar garuṛ samānāʼn.
Beings like Hanumaan, Garura,
|
ਸੁਰਪਤਿ ਨਰਪਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਗੁਨ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੨॥
सुरपति नरपति नही गुन जानां ॥२॥
Surpaṯ narpaṯ nahī gun jānāʼn. ||2||
Indra the King of the gods and the rulers of humans - none of them know Your Glories, Lord. ||2||
|
ਚਾਰਿ ਬੇਦ ਅਰੁ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪੁਰਾਨਾਂ ॥
चारि बेद अरु सिम्रिति पुरानां ॥
Cẖār beḏ ar simriṯ purānāʼn.
The four Vedas, the Simritees and the Puraanas,
|
ਕਮਲਾਪਤਿ ਕਵਲਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੩॥
कमलापति कवला नही जानां ॥३॥
Kamlāpaṯ kavlā nahī jānāʼn. ||3||
Vishnu the Lord of Lakshmi and Lakshmi herself - none of them know the Lord. ||3||
|
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਸੋ ਭਰਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
कहि कबीर सो भरमै नाही ॥
Kahi Kabīr so bẖarmai nāhī.
Says Kabeer, one does not wander around lost,
|
ਪਗ ਲਗਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਹੈ ਸਰਨਾਂਹੀ ॥੪॥੧॥
पग लगि राम रहै सरनांही ॥४॥१॥
Pag lag rām rahai sarnāʼnhī. ||4||1||
who falls at the Lord's feet and remains in His Sanctuary. ||4||1||
