ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਧੰਨਿ ਓਇ ਭਵਨਾ ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਸੰਤ ਬਸਾਰੇ ॥
Ḏẖan so thān ḏẖan o▫e bẖavnā jā mėh sanṯ basāre.
Blessed is that place, and blessed is that house, in which the Saints dwell.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰਹੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੯॥੪੦॥
Jan Nānak kī sarḏẖā pūrahu ṯẖākur bẖagaṯ ṯere namaskāre. ||2||9||40||
Fulfill this desire of servant Nanak, O Lord Master, that he may bow in reverence to Your devotees. ||2||9||40||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਛਡਾਇ ਲੀਓ ਮਹਾ ਬਲੀ ਤੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤਿ ॥
Cẖẖadā▫e lī▫o mahā balī ṯe apne cẖaran parāṯ.
He has saved me from the awful power of Maya, by attaching me to His feet.

ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਮਨ ਮੰਤਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਜਾਤਿ ॥੧॥
Ėk nām ḏī▫o man mannṯā binas na kaṯhū jāṯ. ||1||
He gave my mind the Mantra of the Naam, the Name of the One Lord, which shall never perish or leave me. ||1||
|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਾਤਿ ॥
Saṯgur pūrai kīnī ḏāṯ.
The Perfect True Guru has given this gift.
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗਾਤਿ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har har nām ḏī▫o kīrṯan ka▫o bẖa▫ī hamārī gāṯ. Rahā▫o.
He has blessed me with the Kirtan of the Praises of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and I am emancipated. ||Pause||

ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਓ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਪਾਤਿ ॥
Angīkār kī▫o parabẖ apunai bẖagṯan kī rākẖī pāṯ.
My God has made me His own, and saved the honor of His devotee.

ਨਾਨਕ ਚਰਨ ਗਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤਿ ॥੨॥੧੦॥੪੧॥
Nānak cẖaran gahe parabẖ apne sukẖ pā▫i▫o ḏin rāṯ. ||2||10||41||
Nanak has grasped the feet of his God, and has found peace, day and night. ||2||10||41||

ਪਰ ਹਰਨਾ ਲੋਭੁ ਝੂਠ ਨਿੰਦ ਇਵ ਹੀ ਕਰਤ ਗੁਦਾਰੀ ॥
Par harnā lobẖ jẖūṯẖ ninḏ iv hī karaṯ guḏārī.
Stealing the property of others, acting in greed, lying and slandering - in these ways, he passes his life.

ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਆਸ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੀਠੀ ਇਹ ਟੇਕ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਾਧਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
Marig ṯarisnā ās mithi▫ā mīṯẖī ih tek manėh sāḏẖārī. ||1||
He places his hopes in false mirages, believing them to be sweet; this is the support he installs in his mind. ||1||
|
ਸਾਕਤ ਕੀ ਆਵਰਦਾ ਜਾਇ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਰੀ ॥
Sākaṯ kī āvraḏā jā▫e barithārī.
The faithless cynic passes his life uselessly.
|
ਜੈਸੇ ਕਾਗਦ ਕੇ ਭਾਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਟੂਕਿ ਗਵਾਵਤ ਕਾਮਿ ਨਹੀ ਗਾਵਾਰੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jaise kāgaḏ ke bẖār mūsā tūk gavāvaṯ kām nahī gāvārī. Rahā▫o.
He is like the mouse, gnawing away at the pile of paper, making it useless to the poor wretch. ||Pause||
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਇਹ ਬੰਧਨ ਛੁਟਕਾਰੀ ॥
Kar kirpā pārbarahm su▫āmī ih banḏẖan cẖẖutkārī.
Have mercy on me, O Supreme Lord God, and release me from these bonds.

ਬੂਡਤ ਅੰਧ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾਢਤ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਸੰਗਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੪੨॥
Būdaṯ anḏẖ Nānak parabẖ kādẖaṯ sāḏẖ janā sangārī. ||2||11||42||
The blind are sinking, O Nanak; God saves them, uniting them with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||2||11||42||

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੀਤਲ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਛਾਤੀ ॥
Simar simar su▫āmī parabẖ apnā sīṯal ṯan man cẖẖāṯī.
Remembering, remembering God, the Lord Master in meditation, my body, mind and heart are cooled and soothed.

ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਸੂਖ ਧਨੁ ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਮੋਰੈ ਜਾਤੀ ॥੧॥
Rūp rang sūkẖ ḏẖan jī▫a kā pārbarahm morai jāṯī. ||1||
The Supreme Lord God is my beauty, pleasure, peace, wealth, soul and social status. ||1||
|
ਰਸਨਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਨਿ ਮਾਤੀ ॥
Rasnā rām rasā▫in māṯī.
My tongue is intoxicated with the Lord, the source of nectar.
|
ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗੀ ਰਾਮ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੈ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਥਾਤੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Rang rangī rām apne kai cẖaran kamal niḏẖ thāṯī. Rahā▫o.
I am in love, in love with the Lord's lotus feet, the treasure of riches. ||Pause||

ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਾ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਰਖਿ ਲੀਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਭਾਤੀ ॥
Jis kā sā ṯin hī rakẖ lī▫ā pūran parabẖ kī bẖāṯī.
I am His - He has saved me; this is God's perfect way.

ਮੇਲਿ ਲੀਓ ਆਪੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੪੩॥
Mel lī▫o āpe sukẖ▫ḏāṯai Nānak har rākẖī pāṯī. ||2||12||43||
The Giver of peace has blended Nanak with Himself; the Lord has preserved his honor. ||2||12||43||

ਦੂਤ ਦੁਸਮਨ ਸਭਿ ਤੁਝ ਤੇ ਨਿਵਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ॥
Ḏūṯ ḏusman sabẖ ṯujẖ ṯe nivrahi pargat parṯāp ṯumārā.
All demons and enemies are eradicated by You, Lord; Your glory is manifest and radiant.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਦੁਖਾਏ ਓਹੁ ਤਤਕਾਲ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
Jo jo ṯere bẖagaṯ ḏukẖā▫e oh ṯaṯkāl ṯum mārā. ||1||
Whoever harms Your devotees, You destroy in an instant. ||1||
|
ਨਿਰਖਉ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਓਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨੀਤ ॥
Nirkẖa▫o ṯumrī or har nīṯ.
I look to You continually, Lord.
|
ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਸਹਾਇ ਹੋਹੁ ਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਉਧਰਹੁ ਮੀਤ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Murār sahā▫e hohu ḏās ka▫o kar gėh uḏẖrahu mīṯ. Rahā▫o.
O Lord, Destroyer of ego, please, be the helper and companion of Your slaves; take my hand, and save me, O my Friend! ||Pause||
|
ਸੁਣੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਖਸਮਾਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
Suṇī benṯī ṯẖākur merai kẖasmānā kar āp.
My Lord and Master has heard my prayer, and given me His protection.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਦ ਭਏ ਦੁਖ ਭਾਗੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੪੪॥
Nānak anaḏ bẖa▫e ḏukẖ bẖāge saḏā saḏā har jāp. ||2||13||44||
Nanak is in ecstasy, and his pains are gone; he meditates on the Lord, forever and ever. ||2||13||44||

ਚਤੁਰ ਦਿਸਾ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਲੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਕਰੁ ਧਾਰਿਓ ॥
Cẖaṯur ḏisā kīno bal apnā sir ūpar kar ḏẖāri▫o.
He has extended His power in all four directions, and placed His hand upon my head.

ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਟਾਖ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਅਵਲੋਕਨੁ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਸ ਕਾ ਦੂਖੁ ਬਿਦਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥
Kirpā katākẖ▫y avlokan kīno ḏās kā ḏūkẖ biḏāri▫o. ||1||
Gazing upon me with his Eye of Mercy, He has dispelled the pains of His slave. ||1||
|
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੇ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥
Har jan rākẖe gur govinḏ.
The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, has saved the Lord's humble servant.
|
ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਸਭਿ ਮੇਟੇ ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਖਸੰਦ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kanṯẖ lā▫e avguṇ sabẖ mete ḏa▫i▫āl purakẖ bakẖsanḏ. Rahā▫o.
Hugging me close in His embrace, the merciful, forgiving Lord has erased all my sins. ||Pause||
|
ਜੋ ਮਾਗਹਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਤੇ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਦੇਵੈ ॥
Jo māgėh ṯẖākur apune ṯe so▫ī so▫ī ḏevai.
Whatever I ask for from my Lord and Master, he gives that to me.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੋਵੈ ॥੨॥੧੪॥੪੫॥
Nānak ḏās mukẖ ṯe jo bolai īhā ūhā sacẖ hovai. ||2||14||45||
Whatever the Lord's slave Nanak utters with his mouth, proves to be true, here and hereafter. ||2||14||45||
