ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਃ
धनासरी मः ५ ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 5.
Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਸੋ ਕਤ ਡਰੈ ਜਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੈ
सो कत डरै जि खसमु सम्हारै ॥
So kaṯ darai jė kẖasam samĥārai.
One who contemplates his Lord and Master - why should he be afraid?

ਡਰਿ ਡਰਿ ਪਚੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਵੇਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
डरि डरि पचे मनमुख वेचारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Dar dar pacẖe manmukẖ vecẖāre. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The wretched self-willed manmukhs are ruined through fear and dread. ||1||Pause||

ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ
सिर ऊपरि मात पिता गुरदेव ॥
Sir ūpar māṯ piṯā gurḏev.
The Divine Guru, my mother and father, is over my head.

ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ
सफल मूरति जा की निरमल सेव ॥
Safal mūraṯ jā kī nirmal sev.
His image brings prosperity; serving Him, we become pure.

ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ
एकु निरंजनु जा की रासि ॥
Ėk niranjan jā kī rās.
The One Lord, the Immaculate Lord, is our capital.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੧॥
मिलि साधसंगति होवत परगास ॥१॥
Mil sāḏẖsangaṯ hovaṯ pargās. ||1||
Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, we are illumined and enlightened. ||1||

ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ
जीअन का दाता पूरन सभ ठाइ ॥
Jī▫an kā ḏāṯā pūran sabẖ ṯẖā▫e.
The Giver of all beings is totally pervading everywhere.

ਕੋਟਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ
कोटि कलेस मिटहि हरि नाइ ॥
Kot kales mitėh har nā▫e.
Millions of pains are removed by the Lord's Name.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸੈ
जनम मरन सगला दुखु नासै ॥
Janam maran saglā ḏukẖ nāsai.
All the pains of birth and death are taken away

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਾਸੈ ॥੨॥
गुरमुखि जा कै मनि तनि बासै ॥२॥
Gurmukẖ jā kai man ṯan bāsai. ||2||
from the Gurmukh, within whose mind and body the Lord dwells. ||2||

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ
जिस नो आपि लए लड़ि लाइ ॥
Jis no āp la▫e laṛ lā▫e.
He alone, whom the Lord has attached to the hem of His robe,

ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਹੀ ਜਾਇ
दरगह मिलै तिसै ही जाइ ॥
Ḏargėh milai ṯisai hī jā▫e.
obtains a place in the Court of the Lord.

ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ ਜਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਣੇ
सेई भगत जि साचे भाणे ॥
Se▫ī bẖagaṯ jė sācẖe bẖāṇe.
They alone are devotees, who are pleasing to the True Lord.

ਜਮਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਨਿਕਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
जमकाल ते भए निकाणे ॥३॥
Jamkāl ṯe bẖa▫e nikāṇe. ||3||
They are freed from the Messenger of Death. ||3||

ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ
साचा साहिबु सचु दरबारु ॥
Sācẖā sāhib sacẖ ḏarbār.
True is the Lord, and True is His Court.

ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ
कीमति कउणु कहै बीचारु ॥
Kīmaṯ ka▫uṇ kahai bīcẖār.
Who can contemplate and describe His value?

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਅਧਾਰੁ
घटि घटि अंतरि सगल अधारु ॥
Gẖat gẖat anṯar sagal aḏẖār.
He is within each and every heart, the Support of all.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਣਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੪॥
नानकु जाचै संत रेणारु ॥४॥३॥२४॥
Nānak jācẖai sanṯ reṇār. ||4||3||24||
Nanak begs for the dust of the Saints. ||4||3||24||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਤੂ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਹੈ ਸੰਗਿ
घरि बाहरि तेरा भरवासा तू जन कै है संगि ॥
Gẖar bāhar ṯerā bẖarvāsā ṯū jan kai hai sang.
At home, and outside, I place my trust in You; You are always with Your humble servant.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਉ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੧॥
करि किरपा प्रीतम प्रभ अपुने नामु जपउ हरि रंगि ॥१॥
Kar kirpā parīṯam parabẖ apune nām japa▫o har rang. ||1||
Bestow Your Mercy, O my Beloved God, that I may chant the Lord's Name with love. ||1||

ਜਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਾ ਤਾਣੁ
जन कउ प्रभ अपने का ताणु ॥
Jan ka▫o parabẖ apne kā ṯāṇ.
God is the strength of His humble servants.

ਜੋ ਤੂ ਕਰਹਿ ਕਰਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਾ ਮਸਲਤਿ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਰਹਾਉ
जो तू करहि करावहि सुआमी सा मसलति परवाणु ॥ रहाउ ॥
Jo ṯū karahi karāvėh su▫āmī sā maslaṯ parvāṇ. Rahā▫o.
Whatever You do, or cause to be done, O Lord and Master, that outcome is acceptable to me. ||Pause||

ਪਤਿ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਗਤਿ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਖੀ
पति परमेसरु गति नाराइणु धनु गुपाल गुण साखी ॥
Paṯ parmesar gaṯ nārā▫iṇ ḏẖan gupāl guṇ sākẖī.
The Transcendent Lord is my honor; the Lord is my emancipation; the glorious sermon of the Lord is my wealth.

ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੀ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਤੀ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੫॥
चरन सरन नानक दास हरि हरि संती इह बिधि जाती ॥२॥१॥२५॥
Cẖaran saran Nānak ḏās har har sanṯī ih biḏẖ jāṯī. ||2||1||25||
Slave Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Lord's feet; from the Saints, he has learned this way of life. ||2||1||25||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ
धनासरी महला ५ ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 5.
Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਪਾਏ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ
सगल मनोरथ प्रभ ते पाए कंठि लाइ गुरि राखे ॥
Sagal manorath parabẖ ṯe pā▫e kanṯẖ lā▫e gur rākẖe.
God has fulfilled all my desires. Holding me close in His embrace, the Guru has saved me.

ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਜਲਨਿ ਦੀਨੇ ਕਿਨੈ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਭਾਖੇ ॥੧॥
संसार सागर महि जलनि न दीने किनै न दुतरु भाखे ॥१॥
Sansār sāgar mėh jalan na ḏīne kinai na ḏuṯar bẖākẖe. ||1||
He has saved me from burning in the ocean of fire, and now, no one calls it impassible. ||1||

ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸੁ
जिन कै मनि साचा बिस्वासु ॥
Jin kai man sācẖā bisvās.
Those who have true faith in their minds,

ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਆਨਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਉਲਾਸੁ ਰਹਾਉ
पेखि पेखि सुआमी की सोभा आनदु सदा उलासु ॥ रहाउ ॥
Pekẖ pekẖ su▫āmī kī sobẖā ānaḏ saḏā ulās. Rahā▫o.
continually behold the Glory of the Lord; they are forever happy and blissful. ||Pause||

ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਸਾਖਿਓ
चरन सरनि पूरन परमेसुर अंतरजामी साखिओ ॥
Cẖaran saran pūran parmesur anṯarjāmī sākẖi▫o.
I seek the Sanctuary of the feet of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, the Searcher of hearts; I behold Him ever-present.

ਜਾਨਿ ਬੂਝਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕੀਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਅੰਕੁਰੁ ਰਾਖਿਓ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੬॥
जानि बूझि अपना कीओ नानक भगतन का अंकुरु राखिओ ॥२॥२॥२६॥
Jān būjẖ apnā kī▫o Nānak bẖagṯan kā ankur rākẖi▫o. ||2||2||26||
In His wisdom, the Lord has made Nanak His own; He has preserved the roots of His devotees. ||2||2||26||

Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਹ ਜਹ ਪੇਖਉ ਤਹ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਤਹੁ ਜਾਈ
जह जह पेखउ तह हजूरि दूरि कतहु न जाई ॥
Jah jah pekẖa▫o ṯah hajūr ḏūr kaṯahu na jā▫ī.
Wherever I look, there I see Him present; He is never far away.

ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਮੈ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥
रवि रहिआ सरबत्र मै मन सदा धिआई ॥१॥
Rav rahi▫ā sarbaṯar mai man saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫ī. ||1||
He is all-pervading, everywhere; O my mind, meditate on Him forever. ||1||

ਈਤ ਊਤ ਨਹੀ ਬੀਛੁੜੈ ਸੋ ਸੰਗੀ ਗਨੀਐ
ईत ऊत नही बीछुड़ै सो संगी गनीऐ ॥
Īṯ ūṯ nahī bīcẖẖuṛai so sangī ganī▫ai.
He alone is called your companion, who will not be separated from you, here or hereafter.

ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਜੋ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਹਿ ਸੋ ਅਲਪ ਸੁਖੁ ਭਨੀਐ ਰਹਾਉ
बिनसि जाइ जो निमख महि सो अलप सुखु भनीऐ ॥ रहाउ ॥
Binas jā▫e jo nimakẖ mėh so alap sukẖ bẖanī▫ai. Rahā▫o.
That pleasure, which passes away in an instant, is trivial. ||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ਅਪਿਆਉ ਦੇਇ ਕਛੁ ਊਨ ਹੋਈ
प्रतिपालै अपिआउ देइ कछु ऊन न होई ॥
Paraṯipālai api▫ā▫o ḏe▫e kacẖẖ ūn na ho▫ī.
He cherishes us, and gives us sustenance; He does not lack anything.

ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸੰਮਾਲਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥੨॥
सासि सासि समालता मेरा प्रभु सोई ॥२॥
Sās sās sammālṯā merā parabẖ so▫ī. ||2||
With each and every breath, my God takes care of His creatures. ||2||

ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਊਚਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਰੂਪੁ
अछल अछेद अपार प्रभ ऊचा जा का रूपु ॥
Acẖẖal acẖẖeḏ apār parabẖ ūcẖā jā kā rūp.
God is undeceiveable, impenetrable and infinite; His form is lofty and exalted.

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਜਨ ਅਚਰਜ ਆਨੂਪੁ ॥੩॥
जपि जपि करहि अनंदु जन अचरज आनूपु ॥३॥
Jap jap karahi anand jan acẖraj ānūp. ||3||
Chanting and meditating on the embodiment of wonder and beauty, His humble servants are in bliss. ||3||

ਸਾ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਅਰਾਧਾ
सा मति देहु दइआल प्रभ जितु तुमहि अराधा ॥
Sā maṯ ḏeh ḏa▫i▫āl parabẖ jiṯ ṯumėh arāḏẖā.
Bless me with such understanding, O Merciful Lord God, that I might remember You.
