ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
नानक नामु मिलै मनु मानिआ ॥४॥१॥
Nānak nām milai man māni▫ā. ||4||1||
O Nanak, obtains the Naam; his mind is pleased and appeased. ||4||1||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ
धनासरी महला ३ ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 3.
Dhanaasaree, Third Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਅਤਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ
हरि नामु धनु निरमलु अति अपारा ॥
Har nām ḏẖan nirmal aṯ apārā.
The wealth of the Lord's Name is immaculate, and absolutely infinite.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ
गुर कै सबदि भरे भंडारा ॥
Gur kai sabaḏ bẖare bẖandārā.
The Word of the Guru's Shabad is over-flowing with treasure.

ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੋਰ ਸਭ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਣੁ
नाम धन बिनु होर सभ बिखु जाणु ॥
Nām ḏẖan bin hor sabẖ bikẖ jāṇ.
Know that, except for the wealth of the Name, all other wealth is poison.

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਜਲੈ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
माइआ मोहि जलै अभिमानु ॥१॥
Mā▫i▫ā mohi jalai abẖimān. ||1||
The egotistical people are burning in their attachment to Maya. ||1||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੈ ਕੋਇ
गुरमुखि हरि रसु चाखै कोइ ॥
Gurmukẖ har ras cẖākẖai ko▫e.
How rare is that Gurmukh who tastes the sublime essence of the Lord.

ਤਿਸੁ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਰਹਾਉ
तिसु सदा अनंदु होवै दिनु राती पूरै भागि परापति होइ ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧis saḏā anand hovai ḏin rāṯī pūrai bẖāg parāpaṯ ho▫e. Rahā▫o.
He is always in bliss, day and night; through perfect good destiny, he obtains the Name. ||Pause||

ਸਬਦੁ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਇ
सबदु दीपकु वरतै तिहु लोइ ॥
Sabaḏ ḏīpak varṯai ṯihu lo▫e.
The Word of the Shabad is a lamp, illuminating the three worlds.

ਜੋ ਚਾਖੈ ਸੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ
जो चाखै सो निरमलु होइ ॥
Jo cẖākẖai so nirmal ho▫e.
One who tastes it, becomes immaculate.

ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਲੁ ਧੋਇ
निरमल नामि हउमै मलु धोइ ॥
Nirmal nām ha▫umai mal ḏẖo▫e.
The immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord, washes off the filth of ego.

ਸਾਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
साची भगति सदा सुखु होइ ॥२॥
Sācẖī bẖagaṯ saḏā sukẖ ho▫e. ||2||
True devotional worship brings lasting peace. ||2||

ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਲੋਗੁ
जिनि हरि रसु चाखिआ सो हरि जनु लोगु ॥
Jin har ras cẖākẖi▫ā so har jan log.
One who tastes the sublime essence of the Lord is the Lord's humble servant.

ਤਿਸੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਖੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਦੇ ਸੋਗੁ
तिसु सदा हरखु नाही कदे सोगु ॥
Ŧis saḏā harakẖ nāhī kaḏe sog.
He is forever happy; he is never sad.

ਆਪਿ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਅਵਰਾ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ
आपि मुकतु अवरा मुकतु करावै ॥
Āp mukaṯ avrā mukaṯ karāvai.
He himself is liberated, and he liberates others as well.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
हरि नामु जपै हरि ते सुखु पावै ॥३॥
Har nām japai har ṯe sukẖ pāvai. ||3||
He chants the Lord's Name, and through the Lord, he finds peace. ||3||

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਭ ਮੁਈ ਬਿਲਲਾਇ
बिनु सतिगुर सभ मुई बिललाइ ॥
Bin saṯgur sabẖ mu▫ī billā▫e.
Without the True Guru, everyone dies, crying out in pain.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਦਾਝਹਿ ਸਾਤਿ ਪਾਇ
अनदिनु दाझहि साति न पाइ ॥
An▫ḏin ḏājẖėh sāṯ na pā▫e.
Night and day, they burn, and find no peace.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਭੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਬੁਝਾਏ
सतिगुरु मिलै सभु त्रिसन बुझाए ॥
Saṯgur milai sabẖ ṯarisan bujẖā▫e.
But meeting the True Guru, all thirst is quenched.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੨॥
नानक नामि सांति सुखु पाए ॥४॥२॥
Nānak nām sāʼnṯ sukẖ pā▫e. ||4||2||
O Nanak, through the Naam, one finds peace and tranquility. ||4||2||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ
धनासरी महला ३ ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 3.
Dhanaasaree, Third Mehl:

ਸਦਾ ਧਨੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ
सदा धनु अंतरि नामु समाले ॥
Saḏā ḏẖan anṯar nām samāle.
Gather in and cherish forever the wealth of the Lord's Name, deep within;

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਜਿਨਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ
जीअ जंत जिनहि प्रतिपाले ॥
Jī▫a janṯ jinėh parṯipāle.
He cherishes and nurtures all beings and creatures.

ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਪਾਏ
मुकति पदारथु तिन कउ पाए ॥
Mukaṯ paḏārath ṯin ka▫o pā▫e.
They alone obtain the treasure of Liberation,

ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥੧॥
हरि कै नामि रते लिव लाए ॥१॥
Har kai nām raṯe liv lā▫e. ||1||
who are lovingly imbued with, and focused on the Lord's Name. ||1||

ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ
गुर सेवा ते हरि नामु धनु पावै ॥
Gur sevā ṯe har nām ḏẖan pāvai.
Serving the Guru, one obtains the wealth of the Lord's Name.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਰਹਾਉ
अंतरि परगासु हरि नामु धिआवै ॥ रहाउ ॥
Anṯar pargās har nām ḏẖi▫āvai. Rahā▫o.
He is illumined and enlightened within, and he meditates on the Lord's Name. ||Pause||

ਇਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਗੂੜਾ ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਹੋਇ
इहु हरि रंगु गूड़ा धन पिर होइ ॥
Ih har rang gūṛā ḏẖan pir ho▫e.
This love for the Lord is like the love of the bride for her husband.

ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ
सांति सीगारु रावे प्रभु सोइ ॥
Sāʼnṯ sīgār rāve parabẖ so▫e.
God ravishes and enjoys the soul-bride who is adorned with peace and tranquility.

ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕੋਇ ਪਾਏ
हउमै विचि प्रभु कोइ न पाए ॥
Ha▫umai vicẖ parabẖ ko▫e na pā▫e.
No one finds God through egotism.

ਮੂਲਹੁ ਭੁਲਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥੨॥
मूलहु भुला जनमु गवाए ॥२॥
Mūlhu bẖulā janam gavā▫e. ||2||
Wandering away from the Primal Lord, the root of all, one wastes his life in vain. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਾਣੀ
गुर ते साति सहज सुखु बाणी ॥
Gur ṯe sāṯ sahj sukẖ baṇī.
Tranquility, celestial peace, pleasure and the Word of His Bani come from the Guru.

ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾਚੀ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ
सेवा साची नामि समाणी ॥
Sevā sācẖī nām samāṇī.
True is that service, which leads one to merge in the Naam.

ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਏ
सबदि मिलै प्रीतमु सदा धिआए ॥
Sabaḏ milai parīṯam saḏā ḏẖi▫ā▫e.
Blessed with the Word of the Shabad, he meditates forever on the Lord, the Beloved.

ਸਾਚ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
साच नामि वडिआई पाए ॥३॥
Sācẖ nām vadi▫ā▫ī pā▫e. ||3||
Through the True Name, glorious greatness is obtained. ||3||

ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਸੋਇ
आपे करता जुगि जुगि सोइ ॥
Āpe karṯā jug jug so▫e.
The Creator Himself abides throughout the ages.

ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ
नदरि करे मेलावा होइ ॥
Naḏar kare melāvā ho▫e.
If He casts His Glance of Grace, then we meet Him.

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ
गुरबाणी ते हरि मंनि वसाए ॥
Gurbāṇī ṯe har man vasā▫e.
Through the Word of Gurbani, the Lord comes to dwell in the mind.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੪॥੩॥
नानक साचि रते प्रभि आपि मिलाए ॥४॥३॥
Nānak sācẖ raṯe parabẖ āp milā▫e. ||4||3||
O Nanak, God unites with Himself those who are imbued with Truth. ||4||3||

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ਤੀਜਾ
धनासरी महला ३ तीजा ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 3 ṯījā.
Dhanaasaree, Third Mehl:

ਜਗੁ ਮੈਲਾ ਮੈਲੋ ਹੋਇ ਜਾਇ
जगु मैला मैलो होइ जाइ ॥
Jag mailā mailo ho▫e jā▫e.
The world is polluted, and those in the world become polluted as well.

ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ਦੂਜੈ ਲੋਭਾਇ
आवै जाइ दूजै लोभाइ ॥
Āvai jā▫e ḏūjai lobẖā▫e.
In attachment to duality, it comes and goes.

ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਸਭ ਪਰਜ ਵਿਗੋਈ
दूजै भाइ सभ परज विगोई ॥
Ḏūjai bẖā▫e sabẖ paraj vigo▫ī.
This love of duality has ruined the entire world.

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਇ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਈ ॥੧॥
मनमुखि चोटा खाइ अपुनी पति खोई ॥१॥
Manmukẖ cẖotā kẖā▫e apunī paṯ kẖo▫ī. ||1||
The self-willed manmukh suffers punishment, and forfeits his honor. ||1||

ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ
गुर सेवा ते जनु निरमलु होइ ॥
Gur sevā ṯe jan nirmal ho▫e.
Serving the Guru, one becomes immaculate.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਪਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਇ ਰਹਾਉ
अंतरि नामु वसै पति ऊतम होइ ॥ रहाउ ॥
Anṯar nām vasai paṯ ūṯam ho▫e. Rahā▫o.
He enshrines the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within, and his state becomes exalted. ||Pause||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਉਬਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਈ
गुरमुखि उबरे हरि सरणाई ॥
Gurmukẖ ubre har sarṇā▫ī.
The Gurmukhs are saved, taking to the Lord's Sanctuary.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਈ
राम नामि राते भगति द्रिड़ाई ॥
Rām nām rāṯe bẖagaṯ ḏariṛā▫ī.
Attuned to the Lord's Name, they commit themselves to devotional worship.

ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਜਨੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪਾਏ
भगति करे जनु वडिआई पाए ॥
Bẖagaṯ kare jan vadi▫ā▫ī pā▫e.
The Lord's humble servant performs devotional worship, and is blessed with greatness.

ਸਾਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੨॥
साचि रते सुख सहजि समाए ॥२॥
Sācẖ raṯe sukẖ sahj samā▫e. ||2||
Attuned to Truth, he is absorbed in celestial peace. ||2||

ਸਾਚੇ ਕਾ ਗਾਹਕੁ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੁ
साचे का गाहकु विरला को जाणु ॥
Sācẖe kā gāhak virlā ko jāṇ.
Know that one who purchases the True Name is very rare.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੁ
गुर कै सबदि आपु पछाणु ॥
Gur kai sabaḏ āp pacẖẖāṇ.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, he comes to understand himself.

ਸਾਚੀ ਰਾਸਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਵਾਪਾਰੁ
साची रासि साचा वापारु ॥
Sācẖī rās sācẖā vāpār.
True is his capital, and true is his trade.

ਸੋ ਧੰਨੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੩॥
सो धंनु पुरखु जिसु नामि पिआरु ॥३॥
So ḏẖan purakẖ jis nām pi▫ār. ||3||
Blessed is that person, who loves the Naam. ||3||

ਤਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਇਕਿ ਸਚਿ ਲਾਏ
तिनि प्रभि साचै इकि सचि लाए ॥
Ŧin parabẖ sācẖai ik sacẖ lā▫e.
God, the True Lord, has attached some to His True Name.

ਊਤਮ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਾਏ
ऊतम बाणी सबदु सुणाए ॥
Ūṯam baṇī sabaḏ suṇā▫e.
They listen to the most sublime Word of His Bani, and the Word of His Shabad.
