ਨਾਨਕ ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹਰਿ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਇਆ ॥੨੬॥
नानक भए पुनीत हरि तीरथि नाइआ ॥२६॥
Nānak bẖa▫e punīṯ har ṯirath nā▫i▫ā. ||26||
O Nanak, they are purified, bathing in the sacred shrine of the Lord. ||26||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ
सलोकु मः ४ ॥
Salok mėhlā 4.
Shalok, Fourth Mehl:

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਹੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ
गुरमुखि अंतरि सांति है मनि तनि नामि समाइ ॥
Gurmukẖ anṯar sāʼnṯ hai man ṯan nām samā▫e.
Within the Gurmukh is peace and tranquility; his mind and body are absorbed in the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਨਾਮੋ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੜੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ
नामो चितवै नामु पड़ै नामि रहै लिव लाइ ॥
Nāmo cẖiṯvai nām paṛai nām rahai liv lā▫e.
He contemplates the Naam, he studies the Naam, and he remains lovingly absorbed in the Naam.

ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਗਈ ਬਿਲਾਇ
नामु पदारथु पाइआ चिंता गई बिलाइ ॥
Nām paḏārath pā▫i▫ā cẖinṯā ga▫ī bilā▫e.
He obtains the treasure of the Naam, and his anxiety is dispelled.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਨਾਮੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਤਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ
सतिगुरि मिलिऐ नामु ऊपजै तिसना भुख सभ जाइ ॥
Saṯgur mili▫ai nām ūpjai ṯisnā bẖukẖ sabẖ jā▫e.
Meeting with the Guru, the Naam wells up, and his thirst and hunger are completely relieved.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਤਿਆ ਨਾਮੋ ਪਲੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
नानक नामे रतिआ नामो पलै पाइ ॥१॥
Nānak nāme raṯi▫ā nāmo palai pā▫e. ||1||
O Nanak, imbued with the Naam, he gathers in the Naam. ||1||

Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਜਿ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਆ ਘਰੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਗਇਆ
सतिगुर पुरखि जि मारिआ भ्रमि भ्रमिआ घरु छोडि गइआ ॥
Saṯgur purakẖ jė māri▫ā bẖaram bẖarmi▫ā gẖar cẖẖod ga▫i▫ā.
One who is cursed by the True Guru, abandons his home, and wanders around aimlessly.

ਓਸੁ ਪਿਛੈ ਵਜੈ ਫਕੜੀ ਮੁਹੁ ਕਾਲਾ ਆਗੈ ਭਇਆ
ओसु पिछै वजै फकड़ी मुहु काला आगै भइआ ॥
Os picẖẖai vajai fakṛī muhu kālā āgai bẖa▫i▫ā.
He is jeered at, and his face is blackened in the world hereafter.

ਓਸੁ ਅਰਲੁ ਬਰਲੁ ਮੁਹਹੁ ਨਿਕਲੈ ਨਿਤ ਝਗੂ ਸੁਟਦਾ ਮੁਆ
ओसु अरलु बरलु मुहहु निकलै नित झगू सुटदा मुआ ॥
Os aral baral muhhu niklai niṯ jẖagū sutḏā mu▫ā.
He babbles incoherently, and foaming at the mouth, he dies.

ਕਿਆ ਹੋਵੈ ਕਿਸੈ ਹੀ ਦੈ ਕੀਤੈ ਜਾਂ ਧੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਓਸ ਦਾ ਏਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਪਇਆ
किआ होवै किसै ही दै कीतै जां धुरि किरतु ओस दा एहो जेहा पइआ ॥
Ki▫ā hovai kisai hī ḏai kīṯai jāʼn ḏẖur kiraṯ os ḏā eho jehā pa▫i▫ā.
What can anyone do? Such is his destiny, according to his past deeds.

ਜਿਥੈ ਓਹੁ ਜਾਇ ਤਿਥੈ ਓਹੁ ਝੂਠਾ ਕੂੜੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਕਿਸੈ ਭਾਵੈ
जिथै ओहु जाइ तिथै ओहु झूठा कूड़ु बोले किसै न भावै ॥
Jithai oh jā▫e ṯithai oh jẖūṯẖā kūṛ bole kisai na bẖāvai.
Wherever he goes, he is a liar, and by telling lies, he not liked by anyone.

ਵੇਖਹੁ ਭਾਈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਜੈਸਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਰੈ ਤੈਸਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਵੈ
वेखहु भाई वडिआई हरि संतहु सुआमी अपुने की जैसा कोई करै तैसा कोई पावै ॥
vekẖhu bẖā▫ī vadi▫ā▫ī har sanṯahu su▫āmī apune kī jaisā ko▫ī karai ṯaisā ko▫ī pāvai.
O Siblings of Destiny, behold this, the glorious greatness of our Lord and Master, O Saints; as one behaves, so does he receive.

ਏਹੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਅਗੋ ਦੇ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
एहु ब्रहम बीचारु होवै दरि साचै अगो दे जनु नानकु आखि सुणावै ॥२॥
Ėhu barahm bīcẖār hovai ḏar sācẖai ago ḏe jan Nānak ākẖ suṇāvai. ||2||
This shall be God's determination in His True Court; servant Nanak predicts and proclaims this. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਗੁਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਬਧਾ ਥੇਹੁ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤੇ
गुरि सचै बधा थेहु रखवाले गुरि दिते ॥
Gur sacẖai baḏẖā thehu rakẖvāle gur ḏiṯe.
The True Guru has established the village; the Guru has appointed its guards and protectors.

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਆਸ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨ ਰਤੇ
पूरन होई आस गुर चरणी मन रते ॥
Pūran ho▫ī ās gur cẖarṇī man raṯe.
My hopes are fulfilled, and my mind is imbued with the love of the Guru's Feet.

ਗੁਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਬੇਅੰਤਿ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਸਭਿ ਹਤੇ
गुरि क्रिपालि बेअंति अवगुण सभि हते ॥
Gur kirpāl be▫anṯ avguṇ sabẖ haṯe.
The Guru is infinitely merciful; He has erased all my sins.

ਗੁਰਿ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਅਪਣੇ ਕਰਿ ਲਿਤੇ
गुरि अपणी किरपा धारि अपणे करि लिते ॥
Gur apṇī kirpā ḏẖār apṇe kar liṯe.
The Guru has showered me with His Mercy, and He has made me His own.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਇਤੇ ॥੨੭॥
नानक सद बलिहार जिसु गुर के गुण इते ॥२७॥
Nānak saḏ balihār jis gur ke guṇ iṯe. ||27||
Nanak is forever a sacrifice to the Guru, who has countless virtues. ||27||

ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ
सलोक मः १ ॥
Salok mėhlā 1.
Shalok, First Mehl:

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਰਜਾਇ ਲੇਖਿਆ ਪਾਇ ਅਬ ਕਿਆ ਕੀਜੈ ਪਾਂਡੇ
ता की रजाइ लेखिआ पाइ अब किआ कीजै पांडे ॥
Ŧā kī rajā▫e lekẖi▫ā pā▫e ab ki▫ā kījai pāʼnde.
By His Command, we receive our pre-ordained rewards; so what can we do now, O Pandit?

ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਹਾਸਲੁ ਤਦੇ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਬੜਿਆ ਹੰਢਹਿ ਜੀਅ ਕਮਾਂਦੇ ॥੧॥
हुकमु होआ हासलु तदे होइ निबड़िआ हंढहि जीअ कमांदे ॥१॥
Hukam ho▫ā hāsal ṯaḏe ho▫e nibṛi▫ā handẖėh jī▫a kamāʼnḏe. ||1||
When His Command is received, then it is decided; all beings move and act accordingly. ||1||

ਮਃ
मः २ ॥
Mėhlā 2.
Second Mehl:

ਨਕਿ ਨਥ ਖਸਮ ਹਥ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਧਕੇ ਦੇ
नकि नथ खसम हथ किरतु धके दे ॥
Nak nath kẖasam hath kiraṯ ḏẖake ḏe.
The string through the nose is in the hands of the Lord Master; one's own actions drive him on.

ਜਹਾ ਦਾਣੇ ਤਹਾਂ ਖਾਣੇ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
जहा दाणे तहां खाणे नानका सचु हे ॥२॥
Jahā ḏāṇe ṯahāʼn kẖāṇe nānkā sacẖ he. ||2||
Wherever his food is, there he eats it; O Nanak, this is the Truth. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਸਭੇ ਗਲਾ ਆਪਿ ਥਾਟਿ ਬਹਾਲੀਓਨੁ
सभे गला आपि थाटि बहालीओनु ॥
Sabẖe galā āp thāt bahālī▫on.
The Lord Himself puts everything in its proper place.

ਆਪੇ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਘਾਲਿਓਨੁ
आपे रचनु रचाइ आपे ही घालिओनु ॥
Āpe racẖan racẖā▫e āpe hī gẖāli▫on.
He Himself created the creation, and He Himself destroys it.

ਆਪੇ ਜੰਤ ਉਪਾਇ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਿਓਨੁ
आपे जंत उपाइ आपि प्रतिपालिओनु ॥
Āpe janṯ upā▫e āp parṯipāli▫on.
He Himself fashions His creatures, and He Himself nourishes them.

ਦਾਸ ਰਖੇ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਓਨੁ
दास रखे कंठि लाइ नदरि निहालिओनु ॥
Ḏās rakẖe kanṯẖ lā▫e naḏar nihāli▫on.
He hugs His slaves close in His embrace, and blesses them with His Glance of Grace.

ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਭਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਜਾਲਿਓਨੁ ॥੨੮॥
नानक भगता सदा अनंदु भाउ दूजा जालिओनु ॥२८॥
Nānak bẖagṯā saḏā anand bẖā▫o ḏūjā jāli▫on. ||28||
O Nanak, His devotees are forever in bliss; they have burnt away the love of duality. ||28||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ

ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਇਕ ਚਿਤਿ ਭਾਇ
ए मन हरि जी धिआइ तू इक मनि इक चिति भाइ ॥
Ė man har jī ḏẖi▫ā▫e ṯū ik man ik cẖiṯ bẖā▫e.
O mind, meditate on the Dear Lord, with single-minded conscious concentration.

ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਦੇਇ ਪਛੋਤਾਇ
हरि कीआ सदा सदा वडिआईआ देइ न पछोताइ ॥
Har kī▫ā saḏā saḏā vaḏi▫ā▫ī▫ā ḏe▫e na pacẖẖoṯā▫e.
The glorious greatness of the Lord shall last forever and ever; He never regrets what He gives.

ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ
हउ हरि कै सद बलिहारणै जितु सेविऐ सुखु पाइ ॥
Ha▫o har kai saḏ balihārṇai jiṯ sevi▫ai sukẖ pā▫e.
I am forever a sacrifice to the Lord; serving Him, peace is obtained.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
नानक गुरमुखि मिलि रहै हउमै सबदि जलाइ ॥१॥
Nānak gurmukẖ mil rahai ha▫umai sabaḏ jalā▫e. ||1||
O Nanak, the Gurmukh remains merged with the Lord; he burns away his ego through the Word of the Shabad. ||1||

ਮਃ
मः ३ ॥

Third Mehl:

ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੇਇ
आपे सेवा लाइअनु आपे बखस करेइ ॥
Āpe sevā lā▫i▫an āpe bakẖas kare▫i.
He Himself enjoins us to serve Him, and He Himself blesses us with forgiveness.

ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਮਾ ਪਿਉ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਸਾਰ ਕਰੇਇ
सभना का मा पिउ आपि है आपे सार करेइ ॥
Sabẖnā kā mā pi▫o āp hai āpe sār kare▫i.
He Himself is the father and mother of all; He Himself cares for us.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਨਿ ਤਿਨ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
नानक नामु धिआइनि तिन निज घरि वासु है जुगु जुगु सोभा होइ ॥२॥
Nānak nām ḏẖi▫ā▫in ṯin nij gẖar vās hai jug jug sobẖā ho▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, those who meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abide in the home of their inner being; they are honored throughout the ages. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ

Pauree:

ਤੂ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਹਹਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਮੈ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਕੋਈ
तू करण कारण समरथु हहि करते मै तुझ बिनु अवरु न कोई ॥
Ŧū karaṇ kāraṇ samrath hėh karṯe mai ṯujẖ bin avar na ko▫ī.
You are the Creator, all-powerful, able to do anything. Without You, there is no other at all.
