ਪਿਰ ਕੀ ਸਾਰ ਜਾਣਈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਿਆਰੁ
पिर की सार न जाणई दूजै भाइ पिआरु ॥
Pir kī sār na jāṇ▫ī ḏūjai bẖā▫e pi▫ār.
She does not know the value of her Husband Lord; she is attached to the love of duality.

ਸਾ ਕੁਸੁਧ ਸਾ ਕੁਲਖਣੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਰੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਕੁਨਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
सा कुसुध सा कुलखणी नानक नारी विचि कुनारि ॥२॥
Sā kusuḏẖ sā kulkẖaṇī Nānak nārī vicẖ kunār. ||2||
She is impure, and ill-mannered, O Nanak; among women, she is the most evil woman. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥

Pauree:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਪਣੀ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਬੈਣੀ
हरि हरि अपणी दइआ करि हरि बोली बैणी ॥
Har har apṇī ḏa▫i▫ā kar har bolī baiṇī.
Be kind to me, Lord, that I might chant the Word of Your Bani.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਉਚਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈਣੀ
हरि नामु धिआई हरि उचरा हरि लाहा लैणी ॥
Har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫ī har ucẖrā har lāhā laiṇī.
May I meditate on the Lord's Name, chant the Lord's Name, and obtain the profit of the Lord's Name.

ਜੋ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਹਉ ਕੁਰਬੈਣੀ
जो जपदे हरि हरि दिनसु राति तिन हउ कुरबैणी ॥
Jo japḏe har har ḏinas rāṯ ṯin ha▫o kurbaiṇī.
I am a sacrifice to those who chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, day and night.

ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਜਨ ਦੇਖਾ ਨੈਣੀ
जिना सतिगुरु मेरा पिआरा अराधिआ तिन जन देखा नैणी ॥
Jinā saṯgur merā pi▫ārā arāḏẖi▫ā ṯin jan ḏekẖā naiṇī.
May I behold with my eyes those who worship and adore my Beloved True Guru.

ਹਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਅਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਉ ਜਿਨਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣੁ ਮੇਲਿਆ ਸੈਣੀ ॥੨੪॥
हउ वारिआ अपणे गुरू कउ जिनि मेरा हरि सजणु मेलिआ सैणी ॥२४॥
Ha▫o vāri▫ā apṇe gurū ka▫o jin merā har sajaṇ meli▫ā saiṇī. ||24||
I am a sacrifice to my Guru, who has united me with my Lord, my friend, my very best friend. ||24||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ
सलोकु मः ४ ॥
Salok mėhlā 4.
Shalok, Fourth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੋ ਮਿਤੁ
हरि दासन सिउ प्रीति है हरि दासन को मितु ॥
Har ḏāsan si▫o parīṯ hai har ḏāsan ko miṯ.
The Lord loves His slaves; the Lord is the friend of His slaves.

ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਉ ਜੰਤੀ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਜੰਤੁ
हरि दासन कै वसि है जिउ जंती कै वसि जंतु ॥
Har ḏāsan kai vas hai ji▫o janṯī kai vas janṯ.
The Lord is under the control of His slaves, like the musical instrument under the control of the musician.

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹੁ
हरि के दास हरि धिआइदे करि प्रीतम सिउ नेहु ॥
Har ke ḏās har ḏẖi▫ā▫iḏe kar parīṯam si▫o nehu.
The Lord's slaves meditate on the Lord; they love their Beloved.

ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਵਰਸੈ ਮੇਹੁ
किरपा करि कै सुनहु प्रभ सभ जग महि वरसै मेहु ॥
Kirpā kar kai sunhu parabẖ sabẖ jag mėh varsai mehu.
Please, hear me, O God - let Your Grace rain over the whole world.

ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੈ ਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ
जो हरि दासन की उसतति है सा हरि की वडिआई ॥
Jo har ḏāsan kī usṯaṯ hai sā har kī vadi▫ā▫ī.
The praise of the Lord's slaves is the Glory of the Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਭਾਵਦੀ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ ਕਰਾਈ
हरि आपणी वडिआई भावदी जन का जैकारु कराई ॥
Har āpṇī vadi▫ā▫ī bẖāvḏī jan kā jaikār karā▫ī.
The Lord loves His Own Glory, and so His humble servant is celebrated and hailed.

ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਨਿ
सो हरि जनु नामु धिआइदा हरि हरि जनु इक समानि ॥
So har jan nām ḏẖi▫ā▫iḏā har har jan ik samān.
That humble servant of the Lord meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; the Lord, and the Lord's humble servant, are one and the same.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਹੁ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੧॥
जनु नानकु हरि का दासु है हरि पैज रखहु भगवान ॥१॥
Jan Nānak har kā ḏās hai har paij rakẖahu bẖagvān. ||1||
Servant Nanak is the slave of the Lord; O Lord, O God, please, preserve his honor. ||1||

ਮਃ
मः ४ ॥
Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਈ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਣੁ ਜਾਈ
नानक प्रीति लाई तिनि साचै तिसु बिनु रहणु न जाई ॥
Nānak parīṯ lā▫ī ṯin sācẖai ṯis bin rahaṇ na jā▫ī.
Nanak loves the True Lord; without Him, he cannot even survive.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਈ ॥੨॥
सतिगुरु मिलै त पूरा पाईऐ हरि रसि रसन रसाई ॥२॥
Saṯgur milai ṯa pūrā pā▫ī▫ai har ras rasan rasā▫ī. ||2||
Meeting the True Guru, one finds the Perfect Lord, and the tongue enjoys the sublime essence of the Lord. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਪਰਭਾਤਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਹੀ ਗਾਵਣਾ
रैणि दिनसु परभाति तूहै ही गावणा ॥
Raiṇ ḏinas parbẖāṯ ṯūhai hī gāvṇā.
Night and day, morning and night, I sing to You, Lord.

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਰਬਤ ਨਾਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਵਣਾ
जीअ जंत सरबत नाउ तेरा धिआवणा ॥
Jī▫a janṯ sarbaṯ nā▫o ṯerā ḏẖi▫āvaṇā.
All beings and creatures meditate on Your Name.

ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਖਾਵਣਾ
तू दाता दातारु तेरा दिता खावणा ॥
Ŧū ḏāṯā ḏāṯār ṯerā ḏiṯā kẖāvṇā.
You are the Giver, the Great Giver; we eat whatever You give us.

ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਵਣਾ
भगत जना कै संगि पाप गवावणा ॥
Bẖagaṯ janā kai sang pāp gavāvṇā.
In the congregation of the devotees, sins are eradicated.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਵਣਾ ॥੨੫॥
जन नानक सद बलिहारै बलि बलि जावणा ॥२५॥
Jan Nānak saḏ balihārai bal bal jāvṇā. ||25||
Servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, O Lord. ||25||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ
सलोकु मः ४ ॥
Salok mėhlā 4.
Shalok, Fourth Mehl:

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਭਈ ਮਤਿ ਮਧਿਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ
अंतरि अगिआनु भई मति मधिम सतिगुर की परतीति नाही ॥
Anṯar agi▫ān bẖa▫ī maṯ maḏẖim saṯgur kī parṯīṯ nāhī.
He has spiritual ignorance within, and his intellect is dull and dim; he does not place his faith in the True Guru.

ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਪਟੋ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਕਪਟੇ ਖਪਹਿ ਖਪਾਹੀ
अंदरि कपटु सभु कपटो करि जाणै कपटे खपहि खपाही ॥
Anḏar kapat sabẖ kapto kar jāṇai kapte kẖapėh kẖapāhī.
He has deceit within himself, and so he sees deception in all others; through his deceptions, he is totally ruined.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਆਪਣੈ ਸੁਆਇ ਫਿਰਾਹੀ
सतिगुर का भाणा चिति न आवै आपणै सुआइ फिराही ॥
Saṯgur kā bẖāṇā cẖiṯ na āvai āpṇai su▫ā▫e firā▫ī.
The True Guru's Will does not enter into his consciousness, and so he wanders around, pursuing his own interests.

ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
किरपा करे जे आपणी ता नानक सबदि समाही ॥१॥
Kirpā kare je āpṇī ṯā Nānak sabaḏ samāhī. ||1||
If He grants His Grace, then Nanak is absorbed into the Word of the Shabad. ||1||

ਮਃ
मः ४ ॥
Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਮਨੂਆ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਹਿ
मनमुख माइआ मोहि विआपे दूजै भाइ मनूआ थिरु नाहि ॥
Manmukẖ mā▫i▫ā mohi vi▫āpe ḏūjai bẖā▫e manū▫ā thir nāhi.
The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in emotional attachment to Maya; in the love of duality, their minds are unsteady.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਲਤ ਰਹਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਖਪਹਿ ਖਪਾਹਿ
अनदिनु जलत रहहि दिनु राती हउमै खपहि खपाहि ॥
An▫ḏin jalaṯ rahėh ḏin rāṯī ha▫umai kẖapėh kẖapāhi.
Night and day, they are burning; day and night, they are totally ruined by their egotism.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਮਹਾ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਹਿ
अंतरि लोभु महा गुबारा तिन कै निकटि न कोई जाहि ॥
Anṯar lobẖ mahā gubārā ṯin kai nikat na ko▫ī jāhi.
Within them, is the total pitch darkness of greed, and no one even approaches them.

ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਦੁਖੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਕਬਹੂ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰਹਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ
ओइ आपि दुखी सुखु कबहू न पावहि जनमि मरहि मरि जाहि ॥
O▫e āp ḏukẖī sukẖ kabhū na pāvahi janam marėh mar jāhi.
They themselves are miserable, and they never find peace; they are born, only to die, and die again.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
नानक बखसि लए प्रभु साचा जि गुर चरनी चितु लाहि ॥२॥
Nānak bakẖas la▫e parabẖ sācẖā jė gur cẖarnī cẖiṯ lāhi. ||2||
O Nanak, the True Lord God forgives those, who focus their consciousness on the Guru's feet. ||2||

ਪਉੜੀ
पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

ਸੰਤ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਭਾਇਆ
संत भगत परवाणु जो प्रभि भाइआ ॥
Sanṯ bẖagaṯ parvāṇ jo parabẖ bẖā▫i▫ā.
That Saint, that devotee, is acceptable, who is loved by God.

ਸੇਈ ਬਿਚਖਣ ਜੰਤ ਜਿਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ
सेई बिचखण जंत जिनी हरि धिआइआ ॥
Se▫ī bicẖkẖaṇ janṯ jinī har ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā.
Those beings are wise, who meditate on the Lord.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਇਆ
अम्रितु नामु निधानु भोजनु खाइआ ॥
Amriṯ nām niḏẖān bẖojan kẖā▫i▫ā.
They eat the food, the treasure of the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਾਇਆ
संत जना की धूरि मसतकि लाइआ ॥
Sanṯ janā kī ḏẖūr masṯak lā▫i▫ā.
They apply the dust of the feet of the Saints to their foreheads.
