ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
नानक जि गुरमुखि करहि सो परवाणु है जो नामि रहे लिव लाइ ॥२॥
Nānak jė gurmukẖ karahi so parvāṇ hai jo nām rahe liv lā▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, whatever the Gurmukhs do is acceptable; they remain lovingly absorbed in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||

ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਕੰਉ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਿਖਾ ॥
हउ बलिहारी तिंन कंउ जो गुरमुखि सिखा ॥
Ha▫o balihārī ṯinn kaʼn▫u jo gurmukẖ sikẖā.
I am a sacrifice to those Sikhs who are Gurmukhs.

ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਿਖਾ ॥
जो हरि नामु धिआइदे तिन दरसनु पिखा ॥
Jo har nām ḏẖi▫ā▫iḏe ṯin ḏarsan pikẖā.
I behold the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of those who meditate on the Lord's Name.

ਸੁਣਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਲਿਖਾ ॥
सुणि कीरतनु हरि गुण रवा हरि जसु मनि लिखा ॥
Suṇ kīrṯan har guṇ ravā har jas man likẖā.
Listening to the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, I contemplate His virtues; I write His Praises on the fabric of my mind.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹੀ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਕ੍ਰਿਖਾ ॥
हरि नामु सलाही रंग सिउ सभि किलविख क्रिखा ॥
Har nām salāhī rang si▫o sabẖ kilvikẖ krikẖā.
I praise the Lord's Name with love, and eradicate all my sins.

ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਸੋ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਧਰੇ ਵਿਖਾ ॥੧੯॥
धनु धंनु सुहावा सो सरीरु थानु है जिथै मेरा गुरु धरे विखा ॥१९॥
Ḏẖan ḏẖan suhāvā so sarīr thān hai jithai merā gur ḏẖare vikẖā. ||19||
Blessed, blessed and beauteous is that body and place, where my Guru places His feet. ||19||

ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਨਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
गुर बिनु गिआनु न होवई ना सुखु वसै मनि आइ ॥
Gur bin gi▫ān na hova▫ī nā sukẖ vasai man ā▫e.
Without the Guru, spiritual wisdom is not obtained, and peace does not come to abide in the mind.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਮਨਮੁਖੀ ਜਾਸਨਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥੧॥
नानक नाम विहूणे मनमुखी जासनि जनमु गवाइ ॥१॥
Nānak nām vihūṇe manmukẖī jāsan janam gavā▫e. ||1||
O Nanak, without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the self-willed manmukhs depart, after having wasted their lives. ||1||

ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਨਾਵੈ ਨੋ ਸਭਿ ਖੋਜਦੇ ਥਕਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
सिध साधिक नावै नो सभि खोजदे थकि रहे लिव लाइ ॥
Siḏẖ sāḏẖik nāvai no sabẖ kẖojḏe thak rahe liv lā▫e.
All the Siddhas, spiritual masters and seekers search for the Name; they have grown weary of concentrating and focusing their attention.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
बिनु सतिगुर किनै न पाइओ गुरमुखि मिलै मिलाइ ॥
Bin saṯgur kinai na pā▫i▫o gurmukẖ milai milā▫e.
Without the True Guru, no one finds the Name; the Gurmukhs unite in Union with the Lord.

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਖਾਣੁ ਸਭੁ ਬਾਦਿ ਹੈ ਧਿਗੁ ਸਿਧੀ ਧਿਗੁ ਕਰਮਾਤਿ ॥
बिनु नावै पैनणु खाणु सभु बादि है धिगु सिधी धिगु करमाति ॥
Bin nāvai painaṇ kẖāṇ sabẖ bāḏ hai ḏẖig siḏẖī ḏẖig karmāṯ.
Without the Name, all food and clothes are worthless; cursed is such spirituality, and cursed are such miraculous powers.

ਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਸਾ ਕਰਮਾਤਿ ਹੈ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਦਾਤਿ ॥
सा सिधि सा करमाति है अचिंतु करे जिसु दाति ॥
Sā siḏẖ sā karmāṯ hai acẖinṯ kare jis ḏāṯ.
That alone is spirituality, and that alone is miraculous power, which the Carefree Lord spontaneously bestows.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਏਹਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਏਹਾ ਕਰਮਾਤਿ ॥੨॥
नानक गुरमुखि हरि नामु मनि वसै एहा सिधि एहा करमाति ॥२॥
Nānak gurmukẖ har nām man vasai ehā siḏẖ ehā karmāṯ. ||2||
O Nanak, the Lord's Name abides in the mind of the Gurmukh; this is spirituality, and this is miraculous power. ||2||

ਹਮ ਢਾਢੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਖਸਮ ਕੇ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਵਹ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਛੰਤਾ ॥
हम ढाढी हरि प्रभ खसम के नित गावह हरि गुण छंता ॥
Ham dẖādẖī har parabẖ kẖasam ke niṯ gāvah har guṇ cẖẖanṯā.
I am a minstrel of God, my Lord and Master; every day, I sing the songs of the Lord's Glorious Praises.

ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਕਰਹ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਣਹ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਵਲਾ ਕੰਤਾ ॥
हरि कीरतनु करह हरि जसु सुणह तिसु कवला कंता ॥
Har kīrṯan karah har jas suṇah ṯis kavlā kanṯā.
I sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, and I listen to the Praises of the Lord, the Master of wealth and Maya.

ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਭਿਖਾਰੀਆ ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨ ਜੰਤਾ ॥
हरि दाता सभु जगतु भिखारीआ मंगत जन जंता ॥
Har ḏāṯā sabẖ jagaṯ bẖikẖārī▫ā mangaṯ jan janṯā.
The Lord is the Great Giver; all the world is begging; all beings and creatures are beggars.

ਹਰਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੋਇ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਾਥਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਮ ਜੰਤਾ ॥
हरि देवहु दानु दइआल होइ विचि पाथर क्रिम जंता ॥
Har ḏevhu ḏān ḏa▫i▫āl ho▫e vicẖ pāthar kiram janṯā.
O Lord, You are kind and compassionate; You give Your gifts to even worms and insects among the rocks.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ॥੨੦॥
जन नानक नामु धिआइआ गुरमुखि धनवंता ॥२०॥
Jan Nānak nām ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā gurmukẖ ḏẖanvanṯā. ||20||
Servant Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; as Gurmukh, he has become truly wealthy. ||20||

ਪੜਣਾ ਗੁੜਣਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ॥
पड़णा गुड़णा संसार की कार है अंदरि त्रिसना विकारु ॥
Paṛ▫ṇā guṛ▫ṇā sansār kī kār hai anḏar ṯarisnā vikār.
Reading and studying are just worldly pursuits, if there is thirst and corruption within.

ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਭਿ ਪੜਿ ਥਕੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥
हउमै विचि सभि पड़ि थके दूजै भाइ खुआरु ॥
Ha▫umai vicẖ sabẖ paṛ thake ḏūjai bẖā▫e kẖu▫ār.
Reading in egotism, all have grown weary; through the love of duality, they are ruined.

ਸੋ ਪੜਿਆ ਸੋ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਬੀਨਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
सो पड़िआ सो पंडितु बीना गुर सबदि करे वीचारु ॥
So paṛi▫ā so pandiṯ bīnā gur sabaḏ kare vīcẖār.
He alone is educated, and he alone is a wise Pandit, who contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

ਅੰਦਰੁ ਖੋਜੈ ਤਤੁ ਲਹੈ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥
अंदरु खोजै ततु लहै पाए मोख दुआरु ॥
Anḏar kẖojai ṯaṯ lahai pā▫e mokẖ ḏu▫ār.
He searches within himself, and finds the true essence; he finds the Door of Salvation.

ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
गुण निधानु हरि पाइआ सहजि करे वीचारु ॥
Guṇ niḏẖān har pā▫i▫ā sahj kare vīcẖār.
He finds the Lord, the treasure of excellence, and peacefully contemplates Him.

ਧੰਨੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
धंनु वापारी नानका जिसु गुरमुखि नामु अधारु ॥१॥
Ḏẖan vāpārī nānkā jis gurmukẖ nām aḏẖār. ||1||
Blessed is the trader, O Nanak, who, as Gurmukh, takes the Name as his only Support. ||1||

ਵਿਣੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਿਝਈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕੋ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
विणु मनु मारे कोइ न सिझई वेखहु को लिव लाइ ॥
viṇ man māre ko▫e na sijẖ▫ī vekẖhu ko liv lā▫e.
Without conquering his mind, no one can be successful. See this, and concentrate on it.

ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ਤੀਰਥੀ ਭਵਿ ਥਕੇ ਨਾ ਏਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
भेखधारी तीरथी भवि थके ना एहु मनु मारिआ जाइ ॥
Bẖekẖ▫ḏẖārī ṯīrthī bẖav thake nā ehu man māri▫ā jā▫e.
The wandering holy men are tired of making pilgrimages to sacred shrines; they have not been able to conquer their minds.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ ਸਚਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
गुरमुखि एहु मनु जीवतु मरै सचि रहै लिव लाइ ॥
Gurmukẖ ehu man jīvaṯ marai sacẖ rahai liv lā▫e.
The Gurmukh has conquered his mind, and he remains lovingly absorbed in the True Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮਲੁ ਇਉ ਉਤਰੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
नानक इसु मन की मलु इउ उतरै हउमै सबदि जलाइ ॥२॥
Nānak is man kī mal i▫o uṯrai ha▫umai sabaḏ jalā▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, this is how the filth of the mind is removed; the Word of the Shabad burns away the ego. ||2||

हरि हरि संत मिलहु मेरे भाई हरि नामु द्रिड़ावहु इक किनका ॥
Har har sanṯ milhu mere bẖā▫ī har nām ḏariṛāvahu ik kinkā.
O Saints of the Lord, O my Siblings of Destiny, please meet with me, and implant the Name of the One Lord within me.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਨਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਪੜੁ ਪਹਿਰਹੁ ਖਿਮ ਕਾ ॥
हरि हरि सीगारु बनावहु हरि जन हरि कापड़ु पहिरहु खिम का ॥
Har har sīgār banāvahu har jan har kāpaṛ pahirahu kẖim kā.
O humble servants of the Lord, adorn me with the decorations of the Lord, Har, Har; let me wear the robes of the Lord's forgiveness.

ਐਸਾ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਮ ਕਾ ॥
ऐसा सीगारु मेरे प्रभ भावै हरि लागै पिआरा प्रिम का ॥
Aisā sīgār mere parabẖ bẖāvai har lāgai pi▫ārā parim kā.
Such decorations are pleasing to my God; such love is dear to the Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟੈ ਇਕ ਪਲਕਾ ॥
हरि हरि नामु बोलहु दिनु राती सभि किलबिख काटै इक पलका ॥
Har har nām bolhu ḏin rāṯī sabẖ kilbikẖ kātai ik palkā.
I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, day and night; in an instant, all sins are eradicated.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਉਪਰਿ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਿਣਕਾ ॥੨੧॥
हरि हरि दइआलु होवै जिसु उपरि सो गुरमुखि हरि जपि जिणका ॥२१॥
Har har ḏa▫i▫āl hovai jis upar so gurmukẖ har jap jiṇkā. ||21||
That Gurmukh, unto whom the Lord becomes merciful, chants the Lord's Name, and wins the game of life. ||21||
