ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਨਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥੨॥
करि किरपा अपुनो करि लीना मनि वसिआ अबिनासी ॥२॥
Kar kirpā apuno kar līnā man vasi▫ā abẖināsī. ||2||
By His Mercy, He has made me His own, and the imperishable Lord has come to dwell within my mind. ||2||

ਤਾ ਕਉ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਕੋਊ ਲਾਗੈ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਰਾਖੇ
ता कउ बिघनु न कोऊ लागै जो सतिगुरि अपुनै राखे ॥
Ŧā ka▫o bigẖan na ko▫ū lāgai jo saṯgur apunai rākẖe.
No misfortune afflicts one who is protected by the True Guru.

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਬਸੇ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੇ ॥੩॥
चरन कमल बसे रिद अंतरि अम्रित हरि रसु चाखे ॥३॥
Cẖaran kamal base riḏ anṯar amriṯ har ras cẖākẖe. ||3||
The Lotus Feet of God come to abide within his heart, and he savors the sublime essence of the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar. ||3||

ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਈ
करि सेवा सेवक प्रभ अपुने जिनि मन की इछ पुजाई ॥
Kar sevā sevak parabẖ apune jin man kī icẖẖ pujā▫ī.
So, as a servant, serve your God, who fulfills your mind's desires.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੨੫॥
नानक दास ता कै बलिहारै जिनि पूरन पैज रखाई ॥४॥१४॥२५॥
Nānak ḏās ṯā kai balihārai jin pūran paij rakẖā▫ī. ||4||14||25||
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to the Perfect Lord, who has protected and preserved his honor. ||4||14||25||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ
सोरठि महला ५ ॥
Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5.
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨੁ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੈ ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰੁ ਜਾਨੈ
माइआ मोह मगनु अंधिआरै देवनहारु न जानै ॥
Mā▫i▫ā moh magan anḏẖi▫ārai ḏevanhār na jānai.
Infatuated with the darkness of emotional attachment to Maya, he does not know the Lord, the Great Giver.

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਾਜਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਚਿਆ ਬਲੁ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੈ ॥੧॥
जीउ पिंडु साजि जिनि रचिआ बलु अपुनो करि मानै ॥१॥
Jī▫o pind sāj jin racẖi▫ā bal apuno kar mānai. ||1||
The Lord created his body and fashioned his soul, but he claims that his power is his own. ||1||

ਮਨ ਮੂੜੇ ਦੇਖਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ
मन मूड़े देखि रहिओ प्रभ सुआमी ॥
Man mūṛe ḏekẖ rahi▫o parabẖ su▫āmī.
O foolish mind, God, your Lord and Master is watching over you.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਰਹੈ ਕਛੂਐ ਛਾਨੀ ਰਹਾਉ
जो किछु करहि सोई सोई जाणै रहै न कछूऐ छानी ॥ रहाउ ॥
Jo kicẖẖ karahi so▫ī so▫ī jāṇai rahai na kacẖẖū▫ai cẖẖānī. Rahā▫o.
Whatever you do, He knows; nothing can remain concealed from Him. ||Pause||

ਜਿਹਵਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਲੋਭ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤੋ ਉਪਜੇ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ
जिहवा सुआद लोभ मदि मातो उपजे अनिक बिकारा ॥
Jihvā su▫āḏ lobẖ maḏ māṯo upje anik bikārā.
You are intoxicated with the tastes of the tongue, with greed and pride; countless sins spring from these.

ਬਹੁਤੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਭਰਮਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਬੰਧਨ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
बहुतु जोनि भरमत दुखु पाइआ हउमै बंधन के भारा ॥२॥
Bahuṯ jon bẖarmaṯ ḏukẖ pā▫i▫ā ha▫umai banḏẖan ke bẖārā. ||2||
You wandered in pain through countless incarnations, weighed down by the chains of egotism. ||2||

ਦੇਇ ਕਿਵਾੜ ਅਨਿਕ ਪੜਦੇ ਮਹਿ ਪਰ ਦਾਰਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਫਾਕੈ
देइ किवाड़ अनिक पड़दे महि पर दारा संगि फाकै ॥
Ḏe▫e kivāṛ anik paṛ▫ḏe mėh par ḏārā sang fākai.
Behind closed doors, hidden by many screens, the man takes his pleasure with another man's wife.

ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਜਬ ਲੇਖਾ ਮਾਗਹਿ ਤਬ ਕਉਣੁ ਪੜਦਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਢਾਕੈ ॥੩॥
चित्र गुपतु जब लेखा मागहि तब कउणु पड़दा तेरा ढाकै ॥३॥
Cẖiṯar gupaṯ jab lekẖā māgėh ṯab ka▫uṇ paṛ▫ḏā ṯerā dẖākai. ||3||
When Chitr and Gupt, the celestial accountants of the conscious and subconscious, call for your account, who will screen you then? ||3||

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਤੁਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਓਟ ਕਾਈ
दीन दइआल पूरन दुख भंजन तुम बिनु ओट न काई ॥
Ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl pūran ḏukẖ bẖanjan ṯum bin ot na kā▫ī.
O Perfect Lord, Merciful to the meek, Destroyer of pain, without You, I have no shelter at all.

ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੨੬॥
काढि लेहु संसार सागर महि नानक प्रभ सरणाई ॥४॥१५॥२६॥
Kādẖ leho sansār sāgar mėh Nānak parabẖ sarṇā▫ī. ||4||15||26||
Please, lift me up out of the world-ocean; O God, I have come to Your Sanctuary. ||4||15||26||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ
सोरठि महला ५ ॥
Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5.
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਹਾਈ ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ
पारब्रहमु होआ सहाई कथा कीरतनु सुखदाई ॥
Pārbarahm ho▫ā sahā▫ī kathā kīrṯan sukẖ▫ḏā▫ī.
The Supreme Lord God has become my helper and friend; His sermon and the Kirtan of His Praises have brought me peace.

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਪਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥
गुर पूरे की बाणी जपि अनदु करहु नित प्राणी ॥१॥
Gur pūre kī baṇī jap anaḏ karahu niṯ parāṇī. ||1||
Chant the Word of the Perfect Guru's Bani, and be ever in bliss, O mortal. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਭਾਈ
हरि साचा सिमरहु भाई ॥
Har sācẖā simrahu bẖā▫ī.
Remember the True Lord in meditation, O Siblings of Destiny.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਜਾਈ ਰਹਾਉ
साधसंगि सदा सुखु पाईऐ हरि बिसरि न कबहू जाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Sāḏẖsang saḏā sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai har bisar na kabhū jā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, eternal peace is obtained, and the Lord is never forgotten. ||Pause||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਸੋ ਜੀਵੈ
अम्रित नामु परमेसरु तेरा जो सिमरै सो जीवै ॥
Amriṯ nām parmesar ṯerā jo simrai so jīvai.
Your Name, O Transcendent Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar; whoever meditates on it, lives.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਥੀਵੈ ॥੨॥
जिस नो करमि परापति होवै सो जनु निरमलु थीवै ॥२॥
Jis no karam parāpaṯ hovai so jan nirmal thīvai. ||2||
One who is blessed with God's Grace - that humble servant becomes immaculate and pure. ||2||

ਬਿਘਨ ਬਿਨਾਸਨ ਸਭਿ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਸਨ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ
बिघन बिनासन सभि दुख नासन गुर चरणी मनु लागा ॥
Bigẖan bināsan sabẖ ḏukẖ nāsan gur cẖarṇī man lāgā.
Obstacles are removed, and all pains are eliminated; my mind is attached to the Guru's feet.

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਜਾਗਾ ॥੩॥
गुण गावत अचुत अबिनासी अनदिनु हरि रंगि जागा ॥३॥
Guṇ gāvaṯ acẖuṯ abẖināsī an▫ḏin har rang jāgā. ||3||
Singing the Glorious Praises of the immovable and imperishable Lord, one remains awake to the Lord's Love, day and night. ||3||

ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਸੇਈ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ
मन इछे सेई फल पाए हरि की कथा सुहेली ॥
Man icẖẖe se▫ī fal pā▫e har kī kathā suhelī.
He obtains the fruits of his mind's desires, listening to the comforting sermon of the Lord.

ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਮਧਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਆ ਬੇਲੀ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੨੭॥
आदि अंति मधि नानक कउ सो प्रभु होआ बेली ॥४॥१६॥२७॥
Āḏ anṯ maḏẖ Nānak ka▫o so parabẖ ho▫ā belī. ||4||16||27||
In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, God is Nanak's best friend. ||4||16||27||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ਪੰਚਪਦਾ
सोरठि महला ५ पंचपदा ॥
Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5 pancẖpaḏā.
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl, Panch-Padas:

ਬਿਨਸੈ ਮੋਹੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਅਪਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
बिनसै मोहु मेरा अरु तेरा बिनसै अपनी धारी ॥१॥
Binsai moh merā ar ṯerā binsai apnī ḏẖārī. ||1||
May my emotional attachment, my sense of mine and yours, and my self-conceit be dispelled. ||1||

ਸੰਤਹੁ ਇਹਾ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ਕਾਰੀ
संतहु इहा बतावहु कारी ॥
Sanṯahu ihā baṯāvhu kārī.
O Saints, show me such a way,

ਜਿਤੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जितु हउमै गरबु निवारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jiṯ ha▫umai garab nivārī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
by which my egotism and pride might be eliminated. ||1||Pause||

ਸਰਬ ਭੂਤ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਹੋਵਾਂ ਸਗਲ ਰੇਨਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
सरब भूत पारब्रहमु करि मानिआ होवां सगल रेनारी ॥२॥
Sarab bẖūṯ pārbarahm kar māni▫ā hovāʼn sagal renārī. ||2||
I see the Supreme Lord God in all beings, and I am the dust of all. ||2||

ਪੇਖਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਸੰਗੇ ਚੂਕੈ ਭੀਤਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
पेखिओ प्रभ जीउ अपुनै संगे चूकै भीति भ्रमारी ॥३॥
Pekẖi▫o parabẖ jī▫o apunai sange cẖūkai bẖīṯ bẖarmārī. ||3||
I see God always with me, and the wall of doubt has been shattered. ||3||

ਅਉਖਧੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਲੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੀ ॥੪॥
अउखधु नामु निरमल जलु अम्रितु पाईऐ गुरू दुआरी ॥४॥
A▫ukẖaḏẖ nām nirmal jal amriṯ pā▫ī▫ai gurū ḏu▫ārī. ||4||
The medicine of the Naam, and the Immaculate Water of Ambrosial Nectar, are obtained through the Guru's Gate. ||4||

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਰੋਗ ਬਿਦਾਰੀ ॥੫॥੧੭॥੨੮॥
कहु नानक जिसु मसतकि लिखिआ तिसु गुर मिलि रोग बिदारी ॥५॥१७॥२८॥
Kaho Nānak jis masṯak likẖi▫ā ṯis gur mil rog biḏārī. ||5||17||28||
Says Nanak, one who has such pre-ordained destiny inscribed upon his forehead, meets with the Guru, and his diseases are cured. ||5||17||28||
