ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਉ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਓ ਤਉ ਸੁਨੀ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ
साधसंगि जउ तुमहि मिलाइओ तउ सुनी तुमारी बाणी ॥
Sāḏẖsang ja▫o ṯumėh milā▫i▫o ṯa▫o sunī ṯumārī baṇī.
When You brought me to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, then I heard the Bani of Your Word.

ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਪੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੮॥
अनदु भइआ पेखत ही नानक प्रताप पुरख निरबाणी ॥४॥७॥१८॥
Anaḏ bẖa▫i▫ā pekẖaṯ hī Nānak parṯāp purakẖ nirbāṇī. ||4||7||18||
Nanak is in ecstasy, beholding the Glory of the Primal Lord of Nirvaanaa. ||4||7||18||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ
सोरठि महला ५ ॥
Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5.
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਮ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਰੇਨੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਮ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾ
हम संतन की रेनु पिआरे हम संतन की सरणा ॥
Ham sanṯan kī ren pi▫āre ham sanṯan kī sarṇā.
I am the dust of the feet of the Beloved Saints; I seek the Protection of their Sanctuary.

ਸੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਓਟ ਸਤਾਣੀ ਸੰਤ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਗਹਣਾ ॥੧॥
संत हमारी ओट सताणी संत हमारा गहणा ॥१॥
Sanṯ hamārī ot saṯāṇī sanṯ hamārā gahṇā. ||1||
The Saints are my all-powerful Support; the Saints are my ornament and decoration. ||1||

ਹਮ ਸੰਤਨ ਸਿਉ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ
हम संतन सिउ बणि आई ॥
Ham sanṯan si▫o baṇ ā▫ī.
I am hand and glove with the Saints.

ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਈ
पूरबि लिखिआ पाई ॥
Pūrab likẖi▫ā pā▫ī.
I have realized my pre-ordained destiny.

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਈ ਰਹਾਉ
इहु मनु तेरा भाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ih man ṯerā bẖā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
This mind is yours, O Siblings of Destiny. ||Pause||

ਸੰਤਨ ਸਿਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਲੇਵਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਸੰਤਨ ਸਿਉ ਬਿਉਹਾਰਾ
संतन सिउ मेरी लेवा देवी संतन सिउ बिउहारा ॥
Sanṯan si▫o merī levā ḏevī sanṯan si▫o bi▫uhārā.
My dealings are with the Saints, and my business is with the Saints.

ਸੰਤਨ ਸਿਉ ਹਮ ਲਾਹਾ ਖਾਟਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
संतन सिउ हम लाहा खाटिआ हरि भगति भरे भंडारा ॥२॥
Sanṯan si▫o ham lāhā kẖāti▫ā har bẖagaṯ bẖare bẖandārā. ||2||
I have earned the profit with the Saints, and the treasure filled to over-flowing with devotion to the Lord. ||2||

ਸੰਤਨ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਉਪੀ ਤਉ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਧੋਖਾ
संतन मो कउ पूंजी सउपी तउ उतरिआ मन का धोखा ॥
Sanṯan mo ka▫o pūnjī sa▫upī ṯa▫o uṯri▫ā man kā ḏẖokẖā.
The Saints entrusted to me the capital, and my mind's delusion was dispelled.

ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਅਬ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈਗੋ ਜਉ ਫਾਟਿਓ ਸਗਲੋ ਲੇਖਾ ॥੩॥
धरम राइ अब कहा करैगो जउ फाटिओ सगलो लेखा ॥३॥
Ḏẖaram rā▫e ab kahā karaigo ja▫o fāti▫o saglo lekẖā. ||3||
What can the Righteous Judge of Dharma do now? All my accounts have been torn up. ||3||

ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਭਏ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਪਰਸਾਦੇ
महा अनंद भए सुखु पाइआ संतन कै परसादे ॥
Mahā anand bẖa▫e sukẖ pā▫i▫ā sanṯan kai parsāḏe.
I have found the greatest bliss, and I am at peace, by the Grace of the Saints.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੇ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੯॥
कहु नानक हरि सिउ मनु मानिआ रंगि रते बिसमादे ॥४॥८॥१९॥
Kaho Nānak har si▫o man māni▫ā rang raṯe bismāḏe. ||4||8||19||
Says Nanak, my mind is reconciled with the Lord; it is imbued with the wondrous Love of the Lord. ||4||8||19||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਃ
सोरठि मः ५ ॥
Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5.
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਜੇਤੀ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰੇ ਨਰ ਤੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਛਡਿ ਜਾਨੀ
जेती समग्री देखहु रे नर तेती ही छडि जानी ॥
Jeṯī samagrī ḏekẖhu re nar ṯeṯī hī cẖẖad jānī.
All the things that you see, O man, you shall have to leave behind.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਉਹਾਰਾ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
राम नाम संगि करि बिउहारा पावहि पदु निरबानी ॥१॥
Rām nām sang kar bi▫uhārā pāvahi paḏ nirbānī. ||1||
Let your dealings be with the Lord's Name, and you shall attain the state of Nirvaanaa. ||1||

ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੋ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ
पिआरे तू मेरो सुखदाता ॥
Pi▫āre ṯū mero sukẖ▫ḏāṯa.
O my Beloved, You are the Giver of peace.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦੀਆ ਉਪਦੇਸਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਰਾਤਾ ਰਹਾਉ
गुरि पूरै दीआ उपदेसा तुम ही संगि पराता ॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur pūrai ḏī▫ā upḏesā ṯum hī sang parāṯā. Rahā▫o.
The Perfect Guru has given me these Teachings, and I am attuned to You. ||Pause||

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ
काम क्रोध लोभ मोह अभिमाना ता महि सुखु नही पाईऐ ॥
Kām kroḏẖ lobẖ moh abẖimānā ṯā mėh sukẖ nahī pā▫ī▫ai.
In sexual desire, anger, greed, emotional attachment and self-conceit, peace is not to be found.

ਹੋਹੁ ਰੇਨ ਤੂ ਸਗਲ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤਉ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੨॥
होहु रेन तू सगल की मेरे मन तउ अनद मंगल सुखु पाईऐ ॥२॥
Hohu ren ṯū sagal kī mere man ṯa▫o anaḏ mangal sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai. ||2||
So be the dust of the feet of all, O my mind, and then you shall find bliss, joy and peace. ||2||

ਘਾਲ ਭਾਨੈ ਅੰਤਰ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਰਿ ਮਨ ਸੇਵਾ
घाल न भानै अंतर बिधि जानै ता की करि मन सेवा ॥
Gẖāl na bẖānai anṯar biḏẖ jānai ṯā kī kar man sevā.
He knows the condition of your inner self, and He will not let your work go in vain - serve Him, O mind.

ਕਰਿ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੋਮਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੂਆ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਵਾ ॥੩॥
करि पूजा होमि इहु मनूआ अकाल मूरति गुरदेवा ॥३॥
Kar pūjā hom ih manū▫ā akāl mūraṯ gurḏevā. ||3||
Worship Him, and dedicate this mind unto Him, the Image of the Undying Lord, the Divine Guru. ||3||

ਗੋਬਿਦ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਦਇਆਲ ਮਾਧਵੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ
गोबिद दामोदर दइआल माधवे पारब्रहम निरंकारा ॥
Gobiḏ ḏāmoḏar ḏa▫i▫āl māḏẖve pārbarahm nirankārā.
He is the Lord of the Universe, the Compassionate Lord, the Supreme Lord God, the Formless Lord.

ਨਾਮੁ ਵਰਤਣਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਵਾਲੇਵਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੪॥੯॥੨੦॥
नामु वरतणि नामो वालेवा नामु नानक प्रान अधारा ॥४॥९॥२०॥
Nām varṯaṇ nāmo vālevā nām Nānak parān aḏẖārā. ||4||9||20||
The Naam is my merchandise, the Naam is my nourishment; the Naam, O Nanak, is the Support of my breath of life. ||4||9||20||

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ
सोरठि महला ५ ॥
Soraṯẖ mėhlā 5.
Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਿਰਤਕ ਕਉ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਨਿ ਸਾਸਾ ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਆਨਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ
मिरतक कउ पाइओ तनि सासा बिछुरत आनि मिलाइआ ॥
Mirṯak ka▫o pā▫i▫o ṯan sāsā bicẖẖuraṯ ān milā▫i▫ā.
He infuses the breath into the dead bodies, and he reunited the separated ones.

ਪਸੂ ਪਰੇਤ ਮੁਗਧ ਭਏ ਸ੍ਰੋਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
पसू परेत मुगध भए स्रोते हरि नामा मुखि गाइआ ॥१॥
Pasū pareṯ mugaḏẖ bẖa▫e saroṯe har nāmā mukẖ gā▫i▫ā. ||1||
Even beasts, demons and fools become attentive listeners, when He sings the Praises of the Lord's Name. ||1||

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਦੇਖੁ ਵਡਾਈ
पूरे गुर की देखु वडाई ॥
Pūre gur kī ḏekẖ vadā▫ī.
Behold the glorious greatness of the Perfect Guru.

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਜਾਈ ਰਹਾਉ
ता की कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ŧā kī kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
His worth cannot be described. ||Pause||

ਦੂਖ ਸੋਗ ਕਾ ਢਾਹਿਓ ਡੇਰਾ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਿਸਰਾਮਾ
दूख सोग का ढाहिओ डेरा अनद मंगल बिसरामा ॥
Ḏūkẖ sog kā ḏẖāhi▫o derā anaḏ mangal bisrāmā.
He has demolished the abode of sorrow and disease, and brought bliss, joy and happiness.

ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
मन बांछत फल मिले अचिंता पूरन होए कामा ॥२॥
Man bāʼncẖẖaṯ fal mile acẖinṯā pūran ho▫e kāmā. ||2||
He effortlessly awards the fruits of the mind's desire, and all works are brought to perfection. ||2||

ਈਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਆਗੈ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੇ
ईहा सुखु आगै मुख ऊजल मिटि गए आवण जाणे ॥
Īhā sukẖ āgai mukẖ ūjal mit ga▫e āvaṇ jāṇe.
He finds peace in this world, and his face is radiant in the world hereafter; his comings and goings are finished.

ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
निरभउ भए हिरदै नामु वसिआ अपुने सतिगुर कै मनि भाणे ॥३॥
Nirbẖa▫o bẖa▫e hirḏai nām vasi▫ā apune saṯgur kai man bẖāṇe. ||3||
He becomes fearless, and his heart is filled with the Naam, the Name of the Lord; his mind is pleasing to the True Guru. ||3||

ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਾਗਾ
ऊठत बैठत हरि गुण गावै दूखु दरदु भ्रमु भागा ॥
Ūṯẖaṯ baiṯẖaṯ har guṇ gāvai ḏūkẖ ḏaraḏ bẖaram bẖāgā.
Standing up and sitting down, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord; his pain, sorrow and doubt are dispelled.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੨੧॥
कहु नानक ता के पूर करमा जा का गुर चरनी मनु लागा ॥४॥१०॥२१॥
Kaho Nānak ṯā ke pūr karammā jā kā gur cẖarnī man lāgā. ||4||10||21||
Says Nanak, his karma is perfect; his mind is attached to the Guru's feet. ||4||10||21||

Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਰਤਨੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਕਉਡੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਕਛੂ ਪਾਈਐ
रतनु छाडि कउडी संगि लागे जा ते कछू न पाईऐ ॥
Raṯan cẖẖād ka▫udī sang lāge jā ṯe kacẖẖū na pā▫ī▫ai.
Forsaking the jewel, he is attached to the shell; nothing will come of it.
