ਸੁਣਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਧੂਰੀ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
सुणि मीता धूरी कउ बलि जाई ॥
Suṇ mīṯā ḏẖūrī ka▫o bal jā▫ī.
Hearken Thou O Friend, I am a sacrifice unto the dust of Thine feet.

ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
इहु मनु तेरा भाई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ih man ṯerā bẖā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
This soul of mine is Thine, O Brother. Pause.

ਪਾਵ ਮਲੋਵਾ ਮਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਧੋਵਾ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤੈ ਕੂ ਦੇਸਾ ॥
पाव मलोवा मलि मलि धोवा इहु मनु तै कू देसा ॥
Pāv malovā mal mal ḏẖovā ih man ṯai kū ḏesā.
I shampoo thine Feet, and thoroughly rub and wash them. I give this heart of mine to Thee, O my Master.

ਸੁਣਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਹਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਆਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਉ ਦੇਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸਾ ॥੨॥
सुणि मीता हउ तेरी सरणाई आइआ प्रभ मिलउ देहु उपदेसा ॥२॥
Suṇ mīṯā ha▫o ṯerī sarṇā▫ī ā▫i▫ā parabẖ mila▫o ḏeh upḏesā. ||2||
Hearken, O Lord, my Friend, I have sought Thine protection. Instruct me that I my meet with Thee.

ਮਾਨੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰੀਜੈ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਭਲਾ ਮਨਾਈਐ ॥
मानु न कीजै सरणि परीजै करै सु भला मनाईऐ ॥
Mān na kījai saraṇ parījai karai so bẖalā manā▫ī▫ai.
O man, take not pride, seek His refuge, and accept, as good, all that He does.

ਸੁਣਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪੀਜੈ ਇਉ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥
सुणि मीता जीउ पिंडु सभु तनु अरपीजै इउ दरसनु हरि जीउ पाईऐ ॥३॥
Suṇ mīṯā jī▫o pind sabẖ ṯan arpījai i▫o ḏarsan har jī▫o pā▫ī▫ai. ||3||
Hear thou, O my Friend, surrender thy soul, body and the whole self to Him; thus shalt thou be blessed with the vision of the sire Lord.

ਭਇਓ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹੈ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
भइओ अनुग्रहु प्रसादि संतन कै हरि नामा है मीठा ॥
Bẖa▫i▫o anūgrahu parsāḏ sanṯan kai har nāmā hai mīṯẖā.
By The saints grace, the Lord has extended His mercy to me and the God's name is sweet to me.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਭੁ ਅਕੁਲ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੨॥
जन नानक कउ गुरि किरपा धारी सभु अकुल निरंजनु डीठा ॥४॥१॥१२॥
Jan Nānak ka▫o gur kirpā ḏẖārī sabẖ akul niranjan dīṯẖā. ||4||1||12||
The Guru has showered benediction on slave Nanak, and he has seen the caste-less and mammon-free Lord, every where.

ਕੋਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਰੇ ॥
कोटि ब्रहमंड को ठाकुरु सुआमी सरब जीआ का दाता रे ॥
Kot barahmand ko ṯẖākur su▫āmī sarab jī▫ā kā ḏāṯā re.
The Lord is the Master of millions of universes and He is the Donor of all the creatures.

ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੈ ਇਕੁ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਮੂਰਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
प्रतिपालै नित सारि समालै इकु गुनु नही मूरखि जाता रे ॥१॥
Paraṯipālai niṯ sār samālai ik gun nahī mūrakẖ jāṯā re. ||1||
He ever cherishes, and takes care of all but the fool appreciates not even one goodness of His.
|
ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਰੇ ॥
हरि आराधि न जाना रे ॥
Har ārāḏẖ na jānā re.
I know not how to meditate on God.
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਰੇ ॥
हरि हरि गुरु गुरु करता रे ॥
Har har gur gur karṯā re.
I only repeat "God, God, Guru, Guru".
|
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਿਓ ਰਾਮਦਾਸੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि जीउ नामु परिओ रामदासु ॥ रहाउ ॥
Har jī▫o nām pari▫o Rāmḏās. Rahā▫o.
O Sir God, I go by the Name of Lord's slave. Pause.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸਰਬ ਘਟਾ ਭਰਪੂਰੀ ਰੇ ॥
दीन दइआल क्रिपाल सुख सागर सरब घटा भरपूरी रे ॥
Ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl kirpāl sukẖ sāgar sarab gẖatā bẖarpūrī re.
The Merciful Master is compassionate to the meek is like Ocean of peace and fills all the hearts.

ਪੇਖਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਗੇ ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਦੂਰੀ ਰੇ ॥੨॥
पेखत सुनत सदा है संगे मै मूरख जानिआ दूरी रे ॥२॥
Pekẖaṯ sunaṯ saḏā hai sange mai mūrakẖ jāni▫ā ḏūrī re. ||2||
He sees, hears, and is ever with me, but I, a fool, deem Him to be distant.

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਅੰਤੁ ਹਉ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਵਰਨਉ ਕਿਆ ਜਾਨਾ ਹੋਇ ਕੈਸੋ ਰੇ ॥
हरि बिअंतु हउ मिति करि वरनउ किआ जाना होइ कैसो रे ॥
Har bi▫anṯ ha▫o miṯ kar varna▫o ki▫ā jānā ho▫e kaiso re.
The Lord is limitless but I can only describe Him within limits. What do I know, as to what is He like.

ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੇਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸੋ ਰੇ ॥੩॥
करउ बेनती सतिगुर अपुने मै मूरख देहु उपदेसो रे ॥३॥
Kara▫o benṯī saṯgur apune mai mūrakẖ ḏeh upḏeso re. ||3||
I, supplicate to my True Guru, to instruct me, the stupid.

ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੀ ਕੇਤਕ ਬਾਤ ਹੈ ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਧੀ ਤਰਿਆ ਰੇ ॥
मै मूरख की केतक बात है कोटि पराधी तरिआ रे ॥
Mai mūrakẖ kī keṯak bāṯ hai kot parāḏẖī ṯari▫ā re.
What to say of a silly fellow like me, millions of sinners have been saved by Guru's instruction.

ਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਪੇਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਗਰਭਾਸਿ ਨ ਪਰਿਆ ਰੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੩॥
गुरु नानकु जिन सुणिआ पेखिआ से फिरि गरभासि न परिआ रे ॥४॥२॥१३॥
Gur Nānak jin suṇi▫ā pekẖi▫ā se fir garbẖās na pari▫ā re. ||4||2||13||
They, who have heard, and seen Guru Nanak, fall not, again, into the womb.

ਜਿਨਾ ਬਾਤ ਕੋ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅੰਦੇਸਰੋ ਤੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਗਇਆ ॥
जिना बात को बहुतु अंदेसरो ते मिटे सभि गइआ ॥
Jinā bāṯ ko bahuṯ anḏesro ṯe mite sabẖ ga▫i▫ā.
The things which ever caused me great anxiety, they all have now vanished.
|
ਸਹਜ ਸੈਨ ਅਰੁ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਨਾਰੀ ਊਧ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਸਇਆ ॥੧॥
सहज सैन अरु सुखमन नारी ऊध कमल बिगसइआ ॥१॥
Sahj sain ar sukẖman nārī ūḏẖ kamal bigsa▫i▫ā. ||1||
I now sleep in peace, abide in the supreme spiritual bliss and my inverted heart lotus has bloomed.

ਦੇਖਹੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
देखहु अचरजु भइआ ॥
Ḏekẖhu acẖraj bẖa▫i▫ā.
Lo, a wondrous thing has happened.
|
ਜਿਹ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਉ ਸੁਨਤ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਸੋ ਰਿਦੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਇਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जिह ठाकुर कउ सुनत अगाधि बोधि सो रिदै गुरि दइआ ॥ रहाउ ॥
Jih ṯẖākur ka▫o sunaṯ agāḏẖ boḏẖ so riḏai gur ḏa▫i▫ā. Rahā▫o.
The Lord, who's knowledge is spoken of as unfathomable, Hi, the Guru has enshrined within my mind. Pause.

ਜੋਇ ਦੂਤ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸੰਤਾਵਤ ਤੇ ਭਇਆਨਕ ਭਇਆ ॥
जोइ दूत मोहि बहुतु संतावत ते भइआनक भइआ ॥
Jo▫e ḏūṯ mohi bahuṯ sanṯāvaṯ ṯe bẖa▫i▫ānak bẖa▫i▫ā.
The demons, who greatly tortured me, have themselves become panic-stricken.

ਕਰਹਿ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਰਾਖੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੇ ਹਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨਇਆ ॥੨॥
करहि बेनती राखु ठाकुर ते हम तेरी सरनइआ ॥२॥
Karahi benṯī rākẖ ṯẖākur ṯe ham ṯerī sarna▫i▫ā. ||2||
Say they, "Pray, save us from thy Lord. We have sought thy protection".
|
ਜਹ ਭੰਡਾਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕਾ ਖੁਲਿਆ ਜਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਲਇਆ ॥
जह भंडारु गोबिंद का खुलिआ जिह प्रापति तिह लइआ ॥
Jah bẖandār gobinḏ kā kẖuli▫ā jih parāpaṯ ṯih la▫i▫ā.
Where the Lord of the world is treasure, opens, who-so-ever is destined to receive there from, he receives.

ਏਕੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਥਿਆ ॥੩॥
एकु रतनु मो कउ गुरि दीना मेरा मनु तनु सीतलु थिआ ॥३॥
Ėk raṯan mo ka▫o gur ḏīnā merā man ṯan sīṯal thi▫ā. ||3||
The one gem, the Guru has given me, and my mind and body have become calm.
|
ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਗੁਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਤਾ ਅਟਲੁ ਅਮਰੁ ਨ ਮੁਆ ॥
एक बूंद गुरि अम्रितु दीनो ता अटलु अमरु न मुआ ॥
Ėk būnḏ gur amriṯ ḏīno ṯā atal amar na mu▫ā.
The Guru has blessed me with one drop of Nectar, whereby having become immovable and immortal, I shall die not.

ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਸਉਪੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਲਇਆ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੪॥
भगति भंडार गुरि नानक कउ सउपे फिरि लेखा मूलि न लइआ ॥४॥३॥१४॥
Bẖagaṯ bẖandār gur Nānak ka▫o sa▫upe fir lekẖā mūl na la▫i▫ā. ||4||3||14||
The Lord entrusted Guru Nanak with the treasure of His devotional service, and then never took an account from him.

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਨਾ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਈ ॥
चरन कमल सिउ जा का मनु लीना से जन त्रिपति अघाई ॥
Cẖaran kamal si▫o jā kā man līnā se jan ṯaripaṯ agẖā▫ī.
They, within whose mind the priceless virtues abide not, those men remain thirsty of worldly desires.

ਗੁਣ ਅਮੋਲ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਨ ਵਸਿਆ ਤੇ ਨਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾਈ ॥੧॥
गुण अमोल जिसु रिदै न वसिआ ते नर त्रिसन त्रिखाई ॥१॥
Guṇ amol jis riḏai na vasi▫ā ṯe nar ṯarisan ṯarikẖā▫ī. ||1||
They within whose mind the priceless virtues abide not; those men remain thirsty of wordly desires.
|
ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਅਰੋਗ ਅਨਦਾਈ ॥
हरि आराधे अरोग अनदाई ॥
Har ārāḏẖe arog anḏā▫ī.
Remembering God, the man becomes disease-free, and happy.
|
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਸਨੇਹੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਲਾਖ ਬੇਦਨ ਜਣੁ ਆਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जिस नो विसरै मेरा राम सनेही तिसु लाख बेदन जणु आई ॥ रहाउ ॥
Jis no visrai merā rām sanehī ṯis lākẖ beḏan jaṇ ā▫ī. Rahā▫o.
He who forgets my dear Lord, deem him afflicted with lacs of ailments. Pause.
