ਕਰਿ ਮਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਨਾਸੁ ਮਨਾ
करि मजनु हरि सरे सभि किलबिख नासु मना ॥
Kar majan har sare sabẖ kilbikẖ nās manā.
Take your cleansing bath in the Ambrosial Pool of the Lord, and all of your sins shall be wiped away, O my soul.

ਕਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਜਨੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਜਨੁ ਦੁਖ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਨਾਸੇ
करि सदा मजनु गोबिंद सजनु दुख अंधेरा नासे ॥
Kar saḏā majan gobinḏ sajan ḏukẖ anḏẖerā nāse.
Take your cleansing ever in the Lord God, O friends, and the pain of darkness shall be dispelled.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਹੋਇ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਟੈ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਫਾਸੇ
जनम मरणु न होइ तिस कउ कटै जम के फासे ॥
Janam maraṇ na ho▫e ṯis ka▫o katai jam ke fāse.
Birth and death shall not touch you, and the noose of Death shall be cut away.

ਮਿਲੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗੇ ਤਹਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸੋ
मिलु साधसंगे नाम रंगे तहा पूरन आसो ॥
Mil sāḏẖsange nām range ṯahā pūran āso.
So join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and be imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord; there, your hopes shall be fulfilled.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਵਾਸੋ ॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक धारि किरपा हरि चरण कमल निवासो ॥१॥
Binvanṯ Nānak ḏẖār kirpā har cẖaraṇ kamal nivāso. ||1||
Prays Nanak, shower Your Mercy upon me, O Lord, that I might dwell at Your Lotus Feet. ||1||

ਤਹ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਹਦ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ
तह अनद बिनोद सदा अनहद झुणकारो राम ॥
Ŧah anaḏ binoḏ saḏā anhaḏ jẖuṇkāro rām.
There is bliss and ecstasy there always, and the unstruck celestial melody resounds there.

ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ
मिलि गावहि संत जना प्रभ का जैकारो राम ॥
Mil gāvahi sanṯ janā parabẖ kā jaikāro rām.
Meeting together, the Saints sing God's Praises, and celebrate His Victory.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਖਸਮ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਰੰਗਿ ਭਿੰਨੀਆ
मिलि संत गावहि खसम भावहि हरि प्रेम रस रंगि भिंनीआ ॥
Mil sanṯ gāvahi kẖasam bẖāvėh har parem ras rang bẖinnī▫ā.
Meeting together, the Saints sing the Praises of the Lord Master; they are pleasing to the Lord, and saturated with the sublime essence of His love and affection.

ਹਰਿ ਲਾਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ
हरि लाभु पाइआ आपु मिटाइआ मिले चिरी विछुंनिआ ॥
Har lābẖ pā▫i▫ā āp mitā▫i▫ā mile cẖirī vicẖẖunni▫ā.
They obtain the profit of the Lord, eliminate their self-conceit, and meet Him, from whom they were separated for so long.

ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਦਇਆ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏਕ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੋ
गहि भुजा लीने दइआ कीन्हे प्रभ एक अगम अपारो ॥
Gėh bẖujā līne ḏa▫i▫ā kīnĥe parabẖ ek agam apāro.
Taking them by the arm, He makes them His own; God, the One, inaccessible and infinite, bestows His kindness.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੋ ॥੨॥
बिनवंति नानक सदा निरमल सचु सबदु रुण झुणकारो ॥२॥
Binvanṯ Nānak saḏā nirmal sacẖ sabaḏ ruṇ jẖuṇkāro. ||2||
Prays Nanak, forever immaculate are those who sing the Praises of the True Word of the Shabad. ||2||

ਸੁਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ
सुणि वडभागीआ हरि अम्रित बाणी राम ॥
Suṇ vadbẖāgī▫ā har amriṯ baṇī rām.
Listen, O most fortunate ones, to the Ambrosial Bani of the Word of the Lord.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਰਮਿ ਲਿਖੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ
जिन कउ करमि लिखी तिसु रिदै समाणी राम ॥
Jin ka▫o karam likẖī ṯis riḏai samāṇī rām.
He alone, whose karma is so pre-ordained, has it enter into his heart.

ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਤਿਨੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ
अकथ कहाणी तिनी जाणी जिसु आपि प्रभु किरपा करे ॥
Akath kahāṇī ṯinī jāṇī jis āp parabẖ kirpā kare.
He alone knows the Unspoken Speech, unto whom God has shown His Mercy.

ਅਮਰੁ ਥੀਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਮੂਆ ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸਾ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ
अमरु थीआ फिरि न मूआ कलि कलेसा दुख हरे ॥
Amar thī▫ā fir na mū▫ā kal kalesā ḏukẖ hare.
He becomes immortal, and shall not die again; his troubles, disputes and pains are dispelled.

ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਾਈ ਤਜਿ ਜਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ
हरि सरणि पाई तजि न जाई प्रभ प्रीति मनि तनि भाणी ॥
Har saraṇ pā▫ī ṯaj na jā▫ī parabẖ parīṯ man ṯan bẖāṇī.
He finds the Sanctuary of the Lord; he does not forsake the Lord, and does not leave. God's Love is pleasing to his mind and body.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਈਐ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
बिनवंति नानक सदा गाईऐ पवित्र अम्रित बाणी ॥३॥
Binvanṯ Nānak saḏā gā▫ī▫ai paviṯar amriṯ baṇī. ||3||
Prays Nanak, sing forever the Sacred Ambrosial Bani of His Word. ||3||

ਮਨ ਤਨ ਗਲਤੁ ਭਏ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਜਾਈ ਰਾਮ
मन तन गलतु भए किछु कहणु न जाई राम ॥
Man ṯan galaṯ bẖa▫e kicẖẖ kahaṇ na jā▫ī rām.
My mind and body are intoxicated - this state cannot be described.

ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਅੜਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਲੀਆ ਸਮਾਈ ਰਾਮ
जिस ते उपजिअड़ा तिनि लीआ समाई राम ॥
Jis ṯe upji▫aṛā ṯin lī▫ā samā▫ī rām.
We originated from Him, and into Him we shall merge once again.

ਮਿਲਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋਤੀ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤੀ ਉਦਕੁ ਉਦਕਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ
मिलि ब्रहम जोती ओति पोती उदकु उदकि समाइआ ॥
Mil barahm joṯī oṯ poṯī uḏak uḏak samā▫i▫ā.
I merge into God's Light, through and through, like water merging into water.

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਏਕੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਨਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਇਆ
जलि थलि महीअलि एकु रविआ नह दूजा द्रिसटाइआ ॥
Jal thal mahī▫al ek ravi▫ā nah ḏūjā ḏaristā▫i▫ā.
The One Lord permeates the water, the land and the sky - I do not see any other.

ਬਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਜਾਈ
बणि त्रिणि त्रिभवणि पूरि पूरन कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥
Baṇ ṯariṇ ṯaribẖavaṇ pūr pūran kīmaṯ kahaṇ na jā▫ī.
He is totally permeating the woods, meadows and the three worlds. I cannot express His worth.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥
बिनवंति नानक आपि जाणै जिनि एह बणत बणाई ॥४॥२॥५॥
Binvanṯ Nānak āp jāṇai jin eh baṇaṯ baṇā▫ī. ||4||2||5||
Prays Nanak, He alone knows - He who created this creation. ||4||2||5||

ਬਿਹਾਗੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ
बिहागड़ा महला ५ ॥
Bihāgaṛā mėhlā 5.
Bihaagraa, Fifth Mehl:

ਖੋਜਤ ਸੰਤ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ
खोजत संत फिरहि प्रभ प्राण अधारे राम ॥
Kẖojaṯ sanṯ firėh parabẖ parāṇ aḏẖāre rām.
The Saints go around, searching for God, the support of their breath of life.

ਤਾਣੁ ਤਨੁ ਖੀਨ ਭਇਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਲਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ
ताणु तनु खीन भइआ बिनु मिलत पिआरे राम ॥
Ŧāṇ ṯan kẖīn bẖa▫i▫ā bin milaṯ pi▫āre rām.
They lose the strength of their bodies, if they do not merge with their Beloved Lord.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਇਆ ਧਾਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਲੀਜੀਐ
प्रभ मिलहु पिआरे मइआ धारे करि दइआ लड़ि लाइ लीजीऐ ॥
Parabẖ milhu pi▫āre ma▫i▫ā ḏẖāre kar ḏa▫i▫ā laṛ lā▫e lījī▫ai.
O God, my Beloved, please, bestow Your kindness upon me, that I may merge with You; by Your Mercy, attach me to the hem of Your robe.

ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਜਪਉ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸ ਪੇਖੇ ਜੀਜੀਐ
देहि नामु अपना जपउ सुआमी हरि दरस पेखे जीजीऐ ॥
Ḏėh nām apnā japa▫o su▫āmī har ḏaras pekẖe jījī▫ai.
Bless me with Your Name, that I may chant it, O Lord and Master; beholding the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I live.

ਸਮਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਊਚ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ
समरथ पूरन सदा निहचल ऊच अगम अपारे ॥
Samrath pūran saḏā nihcẖal ūcẖ agam apāre.
He is all-powerful, perfect, eternal and unchanging, exalted, unapproachable and infinite.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक धारि किरपा मिलहु प्रान पिआरे ॥१॥
Binvanṯ Nānak ḏẖār kirpā milhu parān pi▫āre. ||1||
Prays Nanak, bestow Your Mercy upon me, O Beloved of my soul, that I may merge with You. ||1||

ਜਪ ਤਪ ਬਰਤ ਕੀਨੇ ਪੇਖਨ ਕਉ ਚਰਣਾ ਰਾਮ
जप तप बरत कीने पेखन कउ चरणा राम ॥
Jap ṯap baraṯ kīne pekẖan ka▫o cẖarṇā rām.
I have practiced chanting, intensive meditation and fasting, to see Your Feet, O Lord.

ਤਪਤਿ ਕਤਹਿ ਬੁਝੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਣਾ ਰਾਮ
तपति न कतहि बुझै बिनु सुआमी सरणा राम ॥
Ŧapaṯ na kaṯėh bujẖai bin su▫āmī sarṇā rām.
But still, my burning is not quenched, without the Sanctuary of the Lord Master.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਾਟਿ ਬੇਰੀ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਾਰੀਐ
प्रभ सरणि तेरी काटि बेरी संसारु सागरु तारीऐ ॥
Parabẖ saraṇ ṯerī kāt berī sansār sāgar ṯārī▫ai.
I seek Your Sanctuary, God - please, cut away my bonds and carry me across the world-ocean.

ਅਨਾਥ ਨਿਰਗੁਨਿ ਕਛੁ ਜਾਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਉਗਣੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀਐ
अनाथ निरगुनि कछु न जाना मेरा गुणु अउगणु न बीचारीऐ ॥
Anāth nirgun kacẖẖ na jānā merā guṇ a▫ugaṇ na bīcẖārī▫ai.
I am masterless, worthless, and I know nothing; please do not count up my merits and demerits.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰਣਾ
दीन दइआल गोपाल प्रीतम समरथ कारण करणा ॥
Ḏīn ḏa▫i▫āl gopāl parīṯam samrath kāraṇ karṇā.
O Lord, Merciful to the meek, Sustainer of the world, O Beloved, Almighty Cause of causes.

ਨਾਨਕ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਬੂੰਦ ਮਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣਾ ॥੨॥
नानक चात्रिक हरि बूंद मागै जपि जीवा हरि हरि चरणा ॥२॥
Nānak cẖāṯrik har būnḏ māgai jap jīvā har har cẖarṇā. ||2||
Nanak, the song-bird, begs for the rain-drop of the Lord's Name; meditating on the Feet of the Lord, Har, Har, he lives. ||2||
