ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵ ॥
Bʰaa▫ee ré saachee saṫgur sév.
O Siblings of Destiny, service to the True Guru alone is True.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੁਠੈ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Saṫgur ṫutʰæ paa▫ee▫æ pooran alakʰ abʰév. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
When the True Guru is pleased, we obtain the Perfect, Unseen, Unknowable Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਦਿਤਾ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ॥
Saṫgur vitahu vaari▫aa jin ḋiṫaa sach naa▫o.
I am a sacrifice to the True Guru, who has bestowed the True Name.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਲਾਹਣਾ ਸਚੇ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
An▫ḋin sach salaahṇaa saché ké guṇ gaa▫o.
Night and day, I praise the True One; I sing the Glorious Praises of the True One.

ਸਚੁ ਖਾਣਾ ਸਚੁ ਪੈਨਣਾ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੨॥
Sach kʰaaṇaa sach pænṇaa saché sachaa naa▫o. ||2||
True is the food, and true are the clothes of those who chant the True Name of the True One. ||2||
|
ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸਫਲੁ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
Saas giraas na visræ safal mooraṫ gur aap.
With each breath and morsel of food, do not forget the Guru, the Embodiment of Fulfillment.

ਗੁਰ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦਿਸਈ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
Gur jévad avar na ḋis▫ee aatʰ pahar ṫis jaap.
None is seen to be as great as the Guru. Meditate on Him twenty-four hours a day.

ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਿ ॥੩॥
Naḋar karé ṫaa paa▫ee▫æ sach naam guṇṫaas. ||3||
As He casts His Glance of Grace, we obtain the True Name, the Treasure of Excellence. ||3||

ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
Gur parmésar ék hæ sabʰ mėh rahi▫aa samaa▫é.
The Guru and the Transcendent Lord are one and the same, pervading and permeating amongst all.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
Jin ka▫o poorab likʰi▫aa sé▫ee naam ḋʰi▫aa▫é.
Those who have such preordained destiny, meditate on the Naam.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੧੦੦॥
Naanak gur sarṇaagaṫee maræ na aavæ jaa▫é. ||4||30||100||
Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Guru, who does not die, or come and go in reincarnation. ||4||30||100||

ਆਖਿ ਆਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਵਾਵਣਾ ਜਿਉ ਜਿਉ ਜਾਪੈ ਵਾਇ ॥
Aakʰ aakʰ man vaavṇaa ji▫o ji▫o jaapæ vaa▫é.
I speak and chant His Praises, vibrating the instrument of my mind. The more I know Him, the more I vibrate it.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਵਾਇ ਸੁਣਾਈਐ ਸੋ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਥਾਇ ॥
Jis no vaa▫é suṇaa▫ee▫æ so kévad kiṫ ṫʰaa▫é.
The One, unto whom we vibrate and sing-how great is He, and where is His Place?

ਆਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੇਤੜੇ ਸਭਿ ਆਖਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
Aakʰaṇ vaalé jéṫ▫ṛé sabʰ aakʰ rahé liv laa▫é. ||1||
Those who speak of Him and praise Him-they all continue speaking of Him with love. ||1||
|
ਬਾਬਾ ਅਲਹੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
Baabaa alhu agam apaar.
O Baba, the Lord Allah is Inaccessible and Infinite.

ਪਾਕੀ ਨਾਈ ਪਾਕ ਥਾਇ ਸਚਾ ਪਰਵਦਿਗਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Paakee naa▫ee paak ṫʰaa▫é sachaa paravḋigaar. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Sacred is His Name, and Sacred is His Place. He is the True Cherisher. ||1||Pause||

ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਪੀ ਕੇਤੜਾ ਲਿਖਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Ṫéraa hukam na jaapee kéṫ▫ṛaa likʰ na jaaṇæ ko▫é.
The extent of Your Command cannot be seen; no one knows how to write it.

ਜੇ ਸਉ ਸਾਇਰ ਮੇਲੀਅਹਿ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਪੁਜਾਵਹਿ ਰੋਇ ॥
Jé sa▫o saa▫ir mélee▫ah ṫil na pujaavėh ro▫é.
Even if a hundred poets met together, they could not describe even a tiny bit of it.

ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਈਆ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਆਖਹਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
Keemaṫ kinæ na paa▫ee▫aa sabʰ suṇ suṇ aakʰahi so▫é. ||2||
No one has found Your Value; they all merely write what they have heard again and again. ||2||

ਪੀਰ ਪੈਕਾਮਰ ਸਾਲਕ ਸਾਦਕ ਸੁਹਦੇ ਅਉਰੁ ਸਹੀਦ ॥
Peer pækaamar saalak saaḋak suhḋé a▫or saheeḋ.
The Pirs, the Prophets, the spiritual teachers, the faithful, the innocents and the martyrs,

ਸੇਖ ਮਸਾਇਕ ਕਾਜੀ ਮੁਲਾ ਦਰਿ ਦਰਵੇਸ ਰਸੀਦ ॥
Sékʰ masaa▫ik kaajee mulaa ḋar ḋarvés raseeḋ.
the Shaikhs, the mystics, the Qazis, the Mullahs and the Dervishes at His Door -

ਬਰਕਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਅਗਲੀ ਪੜਦੇ ਰਹਨਿ ਦਰੂਦ ॥੩॥
Barkaṫ ṫin ka▫o aglee paṛ▫ḋé rahan ḋarooḋ. ||3||
they are blessed all the more as they continue reading their prayers in praise to Him. ||3||
|
ਪੁਛਿ ਨ ਸਾਜੇ ਪੁਛਿ ਨ ਢਾਹੇ ਪੁਛਿ ਨ ਦੇਵੈ ਲੇਇ ॥
Puchʰ na saajé puchʰ na dʰaahé puchʰ na ḋévæ lé▫é.
He seeks no advice when He builds; He seeks no advice when He destroys. He seeks no advice while giving or taking.

ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੁ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
Aapṇee kuḋraṫ aapé jaaṇæ aapé karaṇ karé▫i.
He alone knows His Creative Power; He Himself does all deeds.

ਸਭਨਾ ਵੇਖੈ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਜੈ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੈ ਦੇਇ ॥੪॥
Sabʰnaa vékʰæ naḋar kar jæ bʰaavæ ṫæ ḋé▫é. ||4||
He beholds all in His Vision. He gives to those with whom He is pleased. ||4||
|
ਥਾਵਾ ਨਾਵ ਨ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ਨਾਵਾ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਨਾਉ ॥
Ṫʰaavaa naav na jaaṇee▫ahi naavaa kévad naa▫o.
His Place and His Name are not known, no one knows how great is His Name.

ਜਿਥੈ ਵਸੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਸੋ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਹੈ ਥਾਉ ॥
Jiṫʰæ vasæ méraa paaṫisaahu so kévad hæ ṫʰaa▫o.
How great is that place where my Sovereign Lord dwells?

ਅੰਬੜਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਕਈ ਹਉ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਪੁਛਣਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੫॥
Ambaṛ ko▫é na sak▫ee ha▫o kis no puchʰaṇ jaa▫o. ||5||
No one can reach it; whom shall I go and ask? ||5||
|
ਵਰਨਾ ਵਰਨ ਨ ਭਾਵਨੀ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੈ ਵਡਾ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
varnaa varan na bʰaavnee jé kisæ vadaa karé▫i.
One class of people does not like the other, when one has been made great.

ਵਡੇ ਹਥਿ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਜੈ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੈ ਦੇਇ ॥
vadé haṫʰ vaḋi▫aa▫ee▫aa jæ bʰaavæ ṫæ ḋé▫é.
Greatness is only in His Great Hands; He gives to those with whom He is pleased.

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੈ ਚਸਾ ਨ ਢਿਲ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੬॥
Hukam savaaré aapṇæ chasaa na dʰil karé▫i. ||6||
By the Hukam of His Command, He Himself regenerates, without a moment’s delay. ||6||
|
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਆਖੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਲੈਣੈ ਕੈ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
Sabʰ ko aakʰæ bahuṫ bahuṫ læṇæ kæ veechaar.
Everyone cries out, “More! More!”, with the idea of receiving.

ਕੇਵਡੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਦੇ ਕੈ ਰਹਿਆ ਸੁਮਾਰਿ ॥
Kévad ḋaaṫaa aakʰee▫æ ḋé kæ rahi▫aa sumaar.
How great should we call the Giver? His Gifts are beyond estimation.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਜੁਗਹ ਜੁਗਹ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥੭॥੧॥
Naanak ṫot na aavee ṫéré jugah jugah bʰandaar. ||7||1||
O Nanak! There is no deficiency; Your Storehouses are filled to overflowing, age after age. ||7||1||

Sabʰé kanṫ mahélee▫aa saglee▫aa karahi seegaar.
All are brides of the Husband Lord; all decorate themselves for Him.
