ਪਵਣੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਗਨਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹੇਸ ਅਕਾਰ
पवणु पाणी अगनि तिनि कीआ ब्रहमा बिसनु महेस अकार ॥
Pavaṇ pāṇī agan ṯin kī▫ā barahmā bisan mahes akār.
He created air, water and fire, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva - the whole creation.

ਸਰਬੇ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥੪॥
सरबे जाचिक तूं प्रभु दाता दाति करे अपुनै बीचार ॥४॥
Sarbe jācẖik ṯūʼn parabẖ ḏāṯā ḏāṯ kare apunai bīcẖār. ||4||
All are beggars; You alone are the Great Giver, God. You give Your gifts according to Your own considerations. ||4||

ਕੋਟਿ ਤੇਤੀਸ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਇਕ ਦੇਦੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਭੰਡਾਰ
कोटि तेतीस जाचहि प्रभ नाइक देदे तोटि नाही भंडार ॥
Kot ṯeṯīs jācẖėh parabẖ nā▫ik ḏeḏe ṯot nāhī bẖandār.
Three hundred thirty million gods beg of God the Master; even as He gives, His treasures are never exhausted.

ਊਂਧੈ ਭਾਂਡੈ ਕਛੁ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸੀਧੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਰੈ ਨਿਹਾਰ ॥੫॥
ऊंधै भांडै कछु न समावै सीधै अम्रितु परै निहार ॥५॥
Ūʼnḏẖai bẖāʼndai kacẖẖ na samāvai sīḏẖai amriṯ parai nihār. ||5||
Nothing can be contained in a vessel turned upside-down; Ambrosial Nectar pours into the upright one. ||5||

ਸਿਧ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਜਾਚਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਜੈਕਾਰ
सिध समाधी अंतरि जाचहि रिधि सिधि जाचि करहि जैकार ॥
Siḏẖ samāḏẖī anṯar jācẖėh riḏẖ siḏẖ jācẖ karahi jaikār.
The Siddhas in Samaadhi beg for wealth and miracles, and proclaim His victory.

ਜੈਸੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਹੋਇ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੈਸੋ ਜਲੁ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥੬॥
जैसी पिआस होइ मन अंतरि तैसो जलु देवहि परकार ॥६॥
Jaisī pi▫ās ho▫e man anṯar ṯaiso jal ḏevėh parkār. ||6||
As is the thirst within their minds, so is the water which You give to them. ||6||

ਬਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਭੇਦੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਮੁਰਾਰ
बडे भाग गुरु सेवहि अपुना भेदु नाही गुरदेव मुरार ॥
Bade bẖāg gur sevėh apunā bẖeḏ nāhī gurḏev murār.
The most fortunate ones serve their Guru; there is no difference between the Divine Guru and the Lord.

ਤਾ ਕਉ ਕਾਲੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮੁ ਜੋਹੈ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥੭॥
ता कउ कालु नाही जमु जोहै बूझहि अंतरि सबदु बीचार ॥७॥
Ŧā ka▫o kāl nāhī jam johai būjẖėh anṯar sabaḏ bīcẖār. ||7||
The Messenger of Death cannot see those who come to realize within their minds the contemplative meditation of the Word of the Shabad. ||7||

ਅਬ ਤਬ ਅਵਰੁ ਮਾਗਉ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਪਿਆਰਿ
अब तब अवरु न मागउ हरि पहि नामु निरंजन दीजै पिआरि ॥
Ab ṯab avar na māga▫o har pėh nām niranjan ḏījai pi▫ār.
I shall never ask anything else of the Lord; please, bless me with the Love of Your Immaculate Name.

ਨਾਨਕ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥੮॥੨॥
नानक चात्रिकु अम्रित जलु मागै हरि जसु दीजै किरपा धारि ॥८॥२॥
Nānak cẖāṯrik amriṯ jal māgai har jas ḏījai kirpā ḏẖār. ||8||2||
Nanak, the song-bird, begs for the Ambrosial Water; O Lord, shower Your Mercy upon him, and bless him with Your Praise. ||8||2||

ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ
गूजरी महला १ ॥
Gūjrī mėhlā 1.
Goojaree, First Mehl:

ਜੀ ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰੈ ਆਵੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਜਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਕਾਈ
ऐ जी जनमि मरै आवै फुनि जावै बिनु गुर गति नही काई ॥
Ai jī janam marai āvai fun jāvai bin gur gaṯ nahī kā▫ī.
O Dear One, he is born, and then dies; he continues coming and going; without the Guru, he is not emancipated.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਾਮੇ ਗਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥
गुरमुखि प्राणी नामे राते नामे गति पति पाई ॥१॥
Gurmukẖ parāṇī nāme rāṯe nāme gaṯ paṯ pā▫ī. ||1||
Those mortals who become Gurmukhs are attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord; through the Name, they obtain salvation and honor. ||1||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈ
भाई रे राम नामि चितु लाई ॥
Bẖā▫ī re rām nām cẖiṯ lā▫ī.
O Siblings of Destiny, focus your consciousness lovingly on the Lord's Name.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਚੇ ਐਸੀ ਨਾਮ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
गुर परसादी हरि प्रभ जाचे ऐसी नाम बडाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Gur parsādī har parabẖ jācẖe aisī nām badā▫ī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
By Guru's Grace, one begs of the Lord God; such is the glorious greatness of the Naam. ||1||Pause||

ਜੀ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਭੇਖ ਕਰਹਿ ਭਿਖਿਆ ਕਉ ਕੇਤੇ ਉਦਰੁ ਭਰਨ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ
ऐ जी बहुते भेख करहि भिखिआ कउ केते उदरु भरन कै ताई ॥
Ai jī bahuṯe bẖekẖ karahi bẖikẖi▫ā ka▫o keṯe uḏar bẖaran kai ṯā▫ī.
O Dear One, so many wear various religious robes, for begging and filling their bellies.

ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਗਰਬੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
बिनु हरि भगति नाही सुखु प्रानी बिनु गुर गरबु न जाई ॥२॥
Bin har bẖagaṯ nāhī sukẖ parānī bin gur garab na jā▫ī. ||2||
Without devotional worship to the Lord, O mortal, there can be no peace. Without the Guru, pride does not depart. ||2||

ਜੀ ਕਾਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਠਾਢੇ ਜਨਮਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਵੈਰਾਈ
ऐ जी कालु सदा सिर ऊपरि ठाढे जनमि जनमि वैराई ॥
Ai jī kāl saḏā sir ūpar ṯẖādẖe janam janam vairā▫ī.
O Dear One, death hangs constantly over his head. Incarnation after incarnation, it is his enemy.

ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਬਾਚੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੩॥
साचै सबदि रते से बाचे सतिगुर बूझ बुझाई ॥३॥
Sācẖai sabaḏ raṯe se bācẖe saṯgur būjẖ bujẖā▫ī. ||3||
Those who are attuned to the True Word of the Shabad are saved. The True Guru has imparted this understanding. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਜੋਹਿ ਸਾਕੈ ਦੂਤੁ ਸਕੈ ਸੰਤਾਈ
गुर सरणाई जोहि न साकै दूतु न सकै संताई ॥
Gur sarṇā▫ī johi na sākai ḏūṯ na sakai sanṯā▫ī.
In the Guru's Sanctuary, the Messenger of Death cannot see the mortal, or torture him.

ਅਵਿਗਤ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੪॥
अविगत नाथ निरंजनि राते निरभउ सिउ लिव लाई ॥४॥
Avigaṯ nāth niranjan rāṯe nirbẖa▫o si▫o liv lā▫ī. ||4||
I am imbued with the Imperishable and Immaculate Lord Master, and lovingly attached to the Fearless Lord. ||4||

ਜੀਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿੜਹੁ ਨਾਮੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਟੇਕ ਟਿਕਾਈ
ऐ जीउ नामु दिड़हु नामे लिव लावहु सतिगुर टेक टिकाई ॥
Ai jī▫o nām ḏiṛahu nāme liv lāvhu saṯgur tek tikā▫ī.
O Dear One, implant the Naam within me; lovingly attached to the Naam, I lean on the True Guru's Support.

ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਸੀ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਮੇਟਿਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੫॥
जो तिसु भावै सोई करसी किरतु न मेटिआ जाई ॥५॥
Jo ṯis bẖāvai so▫ī karsī kiraṯ na meti▫ā jā▫ī. ||5||
Whatever pleases Him, He does; no one can erase His actions. ||5||

ਜੀ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਮੈ ਅਵਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਭਾਈ
ऐ जी भागि परे गुर सरणि तुम्हारी मै अवर न दूजी भाई ॥
Ai jī bẖāg pare gur saraṇ ṯumĥārī mai avar na ḏūjī bẖā▫ī.
O Dear One, I have hurried to the Sanctuary of the Guru; I have no love for any other except You.

ਅਬ ਤਬ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਪੁਕਾਰਉ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੬॥
अब तब एको एकु पुकारउ आदि जुगादि सखाई ॥६॥
Ab ṯab eko ek pukāra▫o āḏ jugāḏ sakẖā▫ī. ||6||
I constantly call upon the One Lord; since the very beginning, and throughout the ages, He has been my help and support. ||6||

ਜੀ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਪੈਜ ਨਾਮ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ
ऐ जी राखहु पैज नाम अपुने की तुझ ही सिउ बनि आई ॥
Ai jī rākẖo paij nām apune kī ṯujẖ hī si▫o ban ā▫ī.
O Dear One, please preserve the Honor of Your Name; I am hand and glove with You.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸੁ ਦਿਖਾਵਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਈ ॥੭॥
करि किरपा गुर दरसु दिखावहु हउमै सबदि जलाई ॥७॥
Kar kirpā gur ḏaras ḏikẖāvhu ha▫umai sabaḏ jalā▫ī. ||7||
Bless me with Your Mercy, and reveal to me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Guru. Through the Word of the Shabad, I have burnt away my ego. ||7||

ਜੀ ਕਿਆ ਮਾਗਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਰਹੈ ਦੀਸੈ ਇਸੁ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ਜਾਈ
ऐ जी किआ मागउ किछु रहै न दीसै इसु जग महि आइआ जाई ॥
Ai jī ki▫ā māga▫o kicẖẖ rahai na ḏīsai is jag mėh ā▫i▫ā jā▫ī.
O Dear One, what should I ask of You? Nothing appears permanent; whoever comes into this world shall depart.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕੰਠਿ ਬਣਾਈ ॥੮॥੩॥
नानक नामु पदारथु दीजै हिरदै कंठि बणाई ॥८॥३॥
Nānak nām paḏārath ḏījai hirḏai kanṯẖ baṇā▫ī. ||8||3||
Bless Nanak with the wealth of the Naam, to adorn his heart and neck. ||8||3||

ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ
गूजरी महला १ ॥
Gūjrī mėhlā 1.
Goojaree, First Mehl:

ਜੀ ਨਾ ਹਮ ਉਤਮ ਨੀਚ ਮਧਿਮ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਗ
ऐ जी ना हम उतम नीच न मधिम हरि सरणागति हरि के लोग ॥
Ai jī nā ham uṯam nīcẖ na maḏẖim har sarṇāgaṯ har ke log.
O Dear One, I am not high or low or in the middle. I am the Lord's slave, and I seek the Lord's Sanctuary.

ਨਾਮ ਰਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਸੋਗ ਬਿਜੋਗ ਬਿਸਰਜਿਤ ਰੋਗ ॥੧॥
नाम रते केवल बैरागी सोग बिजोग बिसरजित रोग ॥१॥
Nām raṯe keval bairāgī sog bijog bisarjiṯ rog. ||1||
Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, I am detached from the world; I have forgotten sorrow, separation and disease. ||1||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੀ
भाई रे गुर किरपा ते भगति ठाकुर की ॥
Bẖā▫ī re gur kirpā ṯe bẖagaṯ ṯẖākur kī.
O Siblings of Destiny, by Guru's Grace, I perform devotional worship to my Lord and Master.
