ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਵਚਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
जा हरि प्रभ भावै ता गुरमुखि मेले जिन्ह वचन गुरू सतिगुर मनि भाइआ ॥
Jā har parabẖ bẖāvai ṯā gurmukẖ mele jinĥ vacẖan gurū saṯgur man bẖā▫i▫ā.
When it pleases the Lord Master, He then, causes man to meet the Guru-wards, to whose soul the hymn of the great Satguru are sweet.

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
वडभागी गुर के सिख पिआरे हरि निरबाणी निरबाण पदु पाइआ ॥२॥
vadbẖāgī gur ke sikẖ pi▫āre har nirbāṇī nirbāṇ paḏ pā▫i▫ā. ||2||
Very fortunate are the dear Sikhs of the Guru, who through the immaculate Lord, attain the status of salvation.

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
सतसंगति गुर की हरि पिआरी जिन हरि हरि नामु मीठा मनि भाइआ ॥
Saṯsangaṯ gur kī har pi▫ārī jin har har nām mīṯẖā man bẖā▫i▫ā.
The Guru congregation of the Guru is dear to God, as to the Guru's mind Lord God's Name is sweet and pleasing.

ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਪਾਪੀ ਜਮਿ ਖਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
जिन सतिगुर संगति संगु न पाइआ से भागहीण पापी जमि खाइआ ॥३॥
Jin saṯgur sangaṯ sang na pā▫i▫ā se bẖāghīṇ pāpī jam kẖā▫i▫ā. ||3||
He, who obtains not the society and association of the True Guru, him, the unfortunate sinful death's courier eats up.

ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
आपि क्रिपालु क्रिपा प्रभु धारे हरि आपे गुरमुखि मिलै मिलाइआ ॥
Āp kirpāl kirpā parabẖ ḏẖāre har āpe gurmukẖ milai milā▫i▫ā.
If the kind Master Himself shows mercy, then assisted by the Supreme Guru, God Himself meets the mortal.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥
जनु नानकु बोले गुण बाणी गुरबाणी हरि नामि समाइआ ॥४॥५॥
Jan Nānak bole guṇ baṇī gurbāṇī har nām samā▫i▫ā. ||4||5||
Attendant Nanak utters the begin hymns, the man is absorbed in God's Name.

ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥
जिन सतिगुरु पुरखु जिनि हरि प्रभु पाइआ मो कउ करि उपदेसु हरि मीठ लगावै ॥
Jin saṯgur purakẖ jin har parabẖ pā▫i▫ā mo ka▫o kar upḏes har mīṯẖ lagāvai.
He, whoever, through the Divine True Guru, has obtained the Lord God, has made God dear unto me by his instruction.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਭ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
मनु तनु सीतलु सभ हरिआ होआ वडभागी हरि नामु धिआवै ॥१॥
Man ṯan sīṯal sabẖ hari▫ā ho▫ā vadbẖāgī har nām ḏẖi▫āvai. ||1||
My soul and body are all cooled and reverdured, and by the greatest good fortune I meditate on God's Name.

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ॥
भाई रे मो कउ कोई आइ मिलै हरि नामु द्रिड़ावै ॥
Bẖā▫ī re mo ka▫o ko▫ī ā▫e milai har nām ḏariṛ▫āvai.
O my brother, let some one, who may implant God's Name in me, come and meets me.

ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
मेरे प्रीतम प्रान मनु तनु सभु देवा मेरे हरि प्रभ की हरि कथा सुनावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Mere parīṯam parān man ṯan sabẖ ḏevā mere har parabẖ kī har kathā sunāvai. ||1|| rahā▫o.
My life, soul and body, all I give to my beloved, who narrates to me the Divine discourse of my Lord God. Pause.

ਧੀਰਜੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
धीरजु धरमु गुरमति हरि पाइआ नित हरि नामै हरि सिउ चितु लावै ॥
Ḏẖīraj ḏẖaram gurmaṯ har pā▫i▫ā niṯ har nāmai har si▫o cẖiṯ lāvai.
From the Guru's instruction, I have obtained fortitude, faith and God. The God The Guru ever, keeps my mind attached to God's Name and God.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
अम्रित बचन सतिगुर की बाणी जो बोलै सो मुखि अम्रितु पावै ॥२॥
Amriṯ bacẖan saṯgur kī baṇī jo bolai so mukẖ amriṯ pāvai. ||2||
Ambrosial words are the hymns of the True Guru and the Nectar trickles into the mouth of him who utters them.

ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
निरमलु नामु जितु मैलु न लागै गुरमति नामु जपै लिव लावै ॥
Nirmal nām jiṯ mail na lāgai gurmaṯ nām japai liv lāvai.
Immaculate is God's Name, to which filth attaches not. Through Guru's instruction, he repeats it with love.

ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਮੁਏ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
नामु पदारथु जिन नर नही पाइआ से भागहीण मुए मरि जावै ॥३॥
Nām paḏārath jin nar nahī pā▫i▫ā se bẖāghīṇ mu▫e mar jāvai. ||3||
The man, who has not received the wealth of God's Name, he is unfortunate and dies again and again.

ਆਨਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
आनद मूलु जगजीवन दाता सभ जन कउ अनदु करहु हरि धिआवै ॥
Ānaḏ mūl jagjīvan ḏāṯā sabẖ jan ka▫o anaḏ karahu har ḏẖi▫āvai.
God, the Bestower is the source of joy and the life of the world. He makes happy all the humans, who meditate on him.

ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੬॥
तूं दाता जीअ सभि तेरे जन नानक गुरमुखि बखसि मिलावै ॥४॥६॥
Ŧūʼn ḏāṯā jī▫a sabẖ ṯere jan Nānak gurmukẖ bakẖas milāvai. ||4||6||
Thou art the Giver, all the beings are Thine Says slave Nanak, Thou pardonest the pious persons and blendest them with Thyself.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
There is but one God. By True Guru's grace He is obtained.
|
ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਘਰੁ ੩ ॥
गूजरी महला ४ घरु ३ ॥
Gūjrī mėhlā 4 gẖar 3.

ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ॥
माई बाप पुत्र सभि हरि के कीए ॥
Mā▫ī bāp puṯar sabẖ har ke kī▫e.
The mother, father and son are all made by God
|
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਨਬੰਧੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਏ ॥੧॥
सभना कउ सनबंधु हरि करि दीए ॥१॥
Sabẖnā ka▫o san▫banḏẖ har kar ḏī▫e. ||1||
and the relation ships of all are established by God.
|
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੀਰ ॥
हमरा जोरु सभु रहिओ मेरे बीर ॥
Hamrā jor sabẖ rahi▫o mere bīr.
All my strength is an nothing, O my brother.
|
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि का तनु मनु सभु हरि कै वसि है सरीर ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har kā ṯan man sabẖ har kai vas hai sarīr. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The body and soul belong to God and the entire human frame is in His power. Pause.
|
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਰਧਾ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਈ ॥
भगत जना कउ सरधा आपि हरि लाई ॥
Bẖagaṯ janā ka▫o sarḏẖā āp har lā▫ī.
Within His saintly persons God Himself infuses His devotion.
|
ਵਿਚੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਸਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੨॥
विचे ग्रिसत उदास रहाई ॥२॥
vicẖe garisaṯ uḏās rahā▫ī. ||2||
In family life they remain unattached.
|
ਜਬ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
जब अंतरि प्रीति हरि सिउ बनि आई ॥
Jab anṯar parīṯ har si▫o ban ā▫ī.
When hearty love is established with God,
|
ਤਬ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥
तब जो किछु करे सु मेरे हरि प्रभ भाई ॥३॥
Ŧab jo kicẖẖ kare so mere har parabẖ bẖā▫ī. ||3||
then whatever the man does that is pleasing to my Lord God.
|
ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਰੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
जितु कारै कमि हम हरि लाए ॥
Jiṯ kārai kamm ham har lā▫e.
I do the deed and work to which God has yoked me,
|
ਸੋ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੪॥
सो हम करह जु आपि कराए ॥४॥
So ham karah jo āp karā▫e. ||4||
and I do that which He Himself makes me to do,
|
ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥
जिन की भगति मेरे प्रभ भाई ॥
Jin kī bẖagaṯ mere parabẖ bẖā▫ī.
They, whose devotional service is pleasing to my Lord,
|
ਤੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥੧੬॥
ते जन नानक राम नाम लिव लाई ॥५॥१॥७॥१६॥
Ŧe jan Nānak rām nām liv lā▫ī. ||5||1||7||16||
those persons fix their attention on the Lord's Name, O Nanak.
