ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਨ ਪੀਓ ਰੇ ਦਗਰਾ ॥੩॥੪॥
Rām rasā▫in pī▫o re ḏagrā. ||3||4||
Drink in the sublime elixir of the Lord, O deceitful one. ||3||4||

Aasaa:

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਿ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਸੀ ਆਸਾ ਤੇ ਭਾਵਸੀ
Pārbarahm jė cẖīnĥsī āsā ṯe na bẖāvsī.
One who recognizes the Supreme Lord God, dislikes other desires.

ਰਾਮਾ ਭਗਤਹ ਚੇਤੀਅਲੇ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖਸੀ ॥੧॥
Rāmā bẖagṯah cẖeṯī▫ale acẖinṯ man rākẖsī. ||1||
He focuses his consciousness on the Lord's devotional worship, and keeps his mind free of anxiety. ||1||

ਕੈਸੇ ਮਨ ਤਰਹਿਗਾ ਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬਿਖੈ ਕੋ ਬਨਾ
Kaise man ṯarhigā re sansār sāgar bikẖai ko banā.
O my mind, how will you cross over the world-ocean, if you are filled with the water of corruption?

ਝੂਠੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਭੂਲਾ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
Jẖūṯẖī mā▫i▫ā ḏekẖ kai bẖūlā re manā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Gazing upon the falseness of Maya, you have gone astray, O my mind. ||1||Pause||

ਛੀਪੇ ਕੇ ਘਰਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਦੈਲਾ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਭੈਲਾ
Cẖẖīpe ke gẖar janam ḏailā gur upḏes bẖailā.
You have given me birth in the house of a calico-printer, but I have found the Teachings of the Guru.

ਸੰਤਹ ਕੈ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਭੇਟੁਲਾ ॥੨॥੫॥
Sanṯėh kai parsāḏ nāmā har bẖetulā. ||2||5||
By the Grace of the Saint, Naam Dayv has met the Lord. ||2||5||

ਆਸਾ ਬਾਣੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀਉ ਕੀ

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਮੀਨ ਭ੍ਰਿੰਗ ਪਤੰਗ ਕੁੰਚਰ ਏਕ ਦੋਖ ਬਿਨਾਸ
Marig mīn bẖaring paṯang kuncẖar ek ḏokẖ binās.
The deer, the fish, the bumble bee, the moth and the elephant are destroyed, each for a single defect.

ਪੰਚ ਦੋਖ ਅਸਾਧ ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੇਤਕ ਆਸ ॥੧॥
Pancẖ ḏokẖ asāḏẖ jā mėh ṯā kī keṯak ās. ||1||
So the one who is filled with the five incurable vices - what hope is there for him? ||1||

ਮਾਧੋ ਅਬਿਦਿਆ ਹਿਤ ਕੀਨ
Māḏẖo abiḏi▫ā hiṯ kīn.
O Lord, he is in love with ignorance.

ਬਿਬੇਕ ਦੀਪ ਮਲੀਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
Bibek ḏīp malīn. ||1|| rahā▫o.
His lamp of clear wisdom has grown dim. ||1||Pause||

ਤ੍ਰਿਗਦ ਜੋਨਿ ਅਚੇਤ ਸੰਭਵ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਅਸੋਚ
Ŧarigaḏ jon acẖeṯ sambẖav punn pāp asocẖ.
The creeping creatures live thoughtless lives, and cannot discriminate between good and evil.

ਮਾਨੁਖਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਦੁਲਭ ਤਿਹੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪੋਚ ॥੨॥
Mānukẖā avṯār ḏulabẖ ṯihī sangaṯ pocẖ. ||2||
It is so difficult to obtain this human incarnation, and yet, they keep company with the low. ||2||

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਜਹਾ ਜਹਾ ਲਗੁ ਕਰਮ ਕੇ ਬਸਿ ਜਾਇ
Jī▫a janṯ jahā jahā lag karam ke bas jā▫e.
Wherever the beings and creatures are, they are born according to the karma of their past actions.

ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਅਬਧ ਲਾਗੇ ਕਛੁ ਚਲੈ ਉਪਾਇ ॥੩॥
Kāl fās abaḏẖ lāge kacẖẖ na cẖalai upā▫e. ||3||
The noose of death is unforgiving, and it shall catch them; it cannot be warded off. ||3||

ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਦਾਸ ਉਦਾਸ ਤਜੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਤਪਨ ਤਪੁ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ
Raviḏās ḏās uḏās ṯaj bẖaram ṯapan ṯap gur gi▫ān.
O servant Ravi Daas, dispel your sorrow and doubt, and know that Guru-given spiritual wisdom is the penance of penances.

ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਭੈ ਹਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ਕਰਹੁ ਨਿਦਾਨ ॥੪॥੧॥
Bẖagaṯ jan bẖai haran parmānanḏ karahu niḏān. ||4||1||
O Lord, Destroyer of the fears of Your humble devotees, make me supremely blissful in the end. ||4||1||

ਆਸਾ
Āsā.
Aasaa:

ਸੰਤ ਤੁਝੀ ਤਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ
Sanṯ ṯujẖī ṯan sangaṯ parān.
Your Saints are Your body, and their company is Your breath of life.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਸੰਤ ਦੇਵਾ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥
Saṯgur gi▫ān jānai sanṯ ḏevā ḏev. ||1||
By the True Guru-given spiritual wisdom, I know the Saints as the gods of gods. ||1||

ਸੰਤ ਚੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਤ ਕਥਾ ਰਸੁ
Sanṯ cẖī sangaṯ sanṯ kathā ras.
Grant me the Society of the Saints, the sublime essence of the Saints' conversation,

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਾਝੈ ਦੀਜੈ ਦੇਵਾ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
Sanṯ parem mājẖai ḏījai ḏevā ḏev. ||1|| rahā▫o.
and the Love of the Saints, O Lord, God of gods. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਤ ਆਚਰਣ ਸੰਤ ਚੋ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਸੰਤ ਓਲ੍ਹਗ ਓਲ੍ਹਗਣੀ ॥੨॥
Sanṯ ācẖraṇ sanṯ cẖo mārag sanṯ cẖa olahg olahgṇī. ||2||
The Character of the Saints, the lifestyle of the Saints, and the service of the servant of the Saints. ||2||

ਅਉਰ ਇਕ ਮਾਗਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਚਿੰਤਾਮਣਿ
A▫or ik māga▫o bẖagaṯ cẖinṯāmaṇ.
I ask for these, and for one thing more - devotional worship, which shall fulfill my desires.

ਜਣੀ ਲਖਾਵਹੁ ਅਸੰਤ ਪਾਪੀ ਸਣਿ ॥੩॥
Jaṇī likẖāvahu asanṯ pāpī saṇ. ||3||
Do not show me the wicked sinners. ||3||

ਰਵਿਦਾਸੁ ਭਣੈ ਜੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਸੋ ਜਾਣੁ
Raviḏās bẖaṇai jo jāṇai so jāṇ.
Says Ravi Daas, he alone is wise, who knows this:

ਸੰਤ ਅਨੰਤਹਿ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੪॥੨॥
Sanṯ anaʼnṯėh anṯar nāhī. ||4||2||
there is no difference between the Saints and the Infinite Lord. ||4||2||

ਆਸਾ

Aasaa:

ਤੁਮ ਚੰਦਨ ਹਮ ਇਰੰਡ ਬਾਪੁਰੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਬਾਸਾ
Ŧum cẖanḏan ham irand bāpure sang ṯumāre bāsā.
You are sandalwood, and I am the poor castor oil plant, dwelling close to you.

ਨੀਚ ਰੂਖ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਗੰਧ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ॥੧॥
Nīcẖ rūkẖ ṯe ūcẖ bẖa▫e hai ganḏẖ suganḏẖ nivāsā. ||1||
From a lowly tree, I have become exalted; Your fragrance, Your exquisite fragrance now permeates me. ||1||

ਮਾਧਉ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ
Māḏẖa▫o saṯsangaṯ saran ṯumĥārī.
O Lord, I seek the Sanctuary of the company of Your Saints;

ਹਮ ਅਉਗਨ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਉਪਕਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
Ham a▫ugan ṯumĥ upkārī. ||1|| rahā▫o.
I am worthless, and You are so benevolent. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮ ਮਖਤੂਲ ਸੁਪੇਦ ਸਪੀਅਲ ਹਮ ਬਪੁਰੇ ਜਸ ਕੀਰਾ
Ŧum makẖ▫ṯūl supeḏ sapī▫al ham bapure jas kīrā.
You are the white and yellow threads of silk, and I am like a poor worm.

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਮਾਧਉ ਜੈਸੇ ਮਧੁਪ ਮਖੀਰਾ ॥੨॥
Saṯsangaṯ mil rahī▫ai māḏẖa▫o jaise maḏẖup makẖīrā. ||2||
O Lord, I seek to live in the Company of the Saints, like the bee with its honey. ||2||

ਜਾਤੀ ਓਛਾ ਪਾਤੀ ਓਛਾ ਓਛਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ
Jāṯī ocẖẖā pāṯī ocẖẖā ocẖẖā janam hamārā.
My social status is low, my ancestry is low, and my birth is low as well.

ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਕੀਨੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਚਮਾਰਾ ॥੩॥੩॥
Rājā rām kī sev na kīnī kahi Raviḏās cẖamārā. ||3||3||
I have not performed the service of the Lord, the Lord, says Ravi Daas the cobbler. ||3||3||

ਆਸਾ
Āsā.
Aasaa:

ਕਹਾ ਭਇਓ ਜਉ ਤਨੁ ਭਇਓ ਛਿਨੁ ਛਿਨੁ
Kahā bẖa▫i▫o ja▫o ṯan bẖa▫i▫o cẖẖin cẖẖin.
What would it matter, if my body were cut into pieces?

ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਜਾਇ ਤਉ ਡਰਪੈ ਤੇਰੋ ਜਨੁ ॥੧॥
Parem jā▫e ṯa▫o darpai ṯero jan. ||1||
If I were to lose Your Love, Lord, then Your humble servant would be afraid. ||1||

ਤੁਝਹਿ ਚਰਨ ਅਰਬਿੰਦ ਭਵਨ ਮਨੁ
Ŧujẖėh cẖaran arbinḏ bẖavan man.
Your lotus feet are the home of my mind.

ਪਾਨ ਕਰਤ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਾਇਓ ਰਾਮਈਆ ਧਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
Pān karaṯ pā▫i▫o pā▫i▫o rām▫ī▫ā ḏẖan. ||1|| rahā▫o.
Drinking in Your Nectar, I have obtained the wealth of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਪਤਿ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਪਟਲ ਮਾਇਆ ਧਨੁ
Sampaṯ bipaṯ patal mā▫i▫ā ḏẖan.
Prosperity, adversity, property and wealth are just Maya.
