ਬਾਜੀਗਰੀ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਕਬੀਰਾ ਚੇਤਿ ਢਾਲਿ ਪਾਸਾ ॥੩॥੧॥੨੩॥
बाजीगरी संसारु कबीरा चेति ढालि पासा ॥३॥१॥२३॥
Bājīgarī sansār kabīrā cẖeṯ dẖāl pāsā. ||3||1||23||
The world is a game, O Kabeer, so throw the dice consciously. ||3||1||23||

ਆਸਾ

Aasaa:

ਤਨੁ ਰੈਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਪੁਨ ਰਪਿ ਕਰਿ ਹਉ ਪਾਚਉ ਤਤ ਬਰਾਤੀ
तनु रैनी मनु पुन रपि करि हउ पाचउ तत बराती ॥
Ŧan rainī man pun rap kar ha▫o pācẖa▫o ṯaṯ barāṯī.
I make my body the dying vat, and within it, I dye my mind. I make the five elements my marriage guests.

ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਸਿਉ ਭਾਵਰਿ ਲੈਹਉ ਆਤਮ ਤਿਹ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ॥੧॥
राम राइ सिउ भावरि लैहउ आतम तिह रंगि राती ॥१॥
Rām rā▫e si▫o bẖāvar laiha▫o āṯam ṯih rang rāṯī. ||1||
I take my marriage vows with the Lord, my King; my soul is imbued with His Love. ||1||

ਗਾਉ ਗਾਉ ਰੀ ਦੁਲਹਨੀ ਮੰਗਲਚਾਰਾ
गाउ गाउ री दुलहनी मंगलचारा ॥
Gā▫o gā▫o rī ḏulhanī mangalcẖārā.
Sing, sing, O brides of the Lord, the marriage songs of the Lord.

ਮੇਰੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਏ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਭਤਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
मेरे ग्रिह आए राजा राम भतारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Mere garih ā▫e rājā rām bẖaṯārā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
The Lord, my King, has come to my house as my Husband. ||1||Pause||

ਨਾਭਿ ਕਮਲ ਮਹਿ ਬੇਦੀ ਰਚਿ ਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨ ਉਚਾਰਾ
नाभि कमल महि बेदी रचि ले ब्रहम गिआन उचारा ॥
Nābẖ kamal mėh beḏī racẖ le barahm gi▫ān ucẖārā.
Within the lotus of my heart, I have made my bridal pavilion, and I have spoken the wisdom of God.

ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਸੋ ਦੂਲਹੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਅਸ ਬਡਭਾਗ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
राम राइ सो दूलहु पाइओ अस बडभाग हमारा ॥२॥
Rām rā▫e so ḏūlahu pā▫i▫o as badbẖāg hamārā. ||2||
I have obtained the Lord King as my Husband - such is my great good fortune. ||2||

ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਕਉਤਕ ਆਏ ਕੋਟਿ ਤੇਤੀਸ ਉਜਾਨਾਂ
सुरि नर मुनि जन कउतक आए कोटि तेतीस उजानां ॥
Sur nar mun jan ka▫uṯak ā▫e kot ṯeṯīs ujānāʼn.
The angles, holy men, silent sages, and the 330,000,000 deities have come in their heavenly chariots to see this spectacle.

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਿਆਹਿ ਚਲੇ ਹੈ ਪੁਰਖ ਏਕ ਭਗਵਾਨਾ ॥੩॥੨॥੨੪॥
कहि कबीर मोहि बिआहि चले है पुरख एक भगवाना ॥३॥२॥२४॥
Kahi Kabīr mohi bi▫āhi cẖale hai purakẖ ek bẖagvānā. ||3||2||24||
Says Kabeer, I have been taken in marriage by the One Supreme Being, the Lord God. ||3||2||24||

ਆਸਾ
आसा ॥
Āsā.
Aasaa:

ਸਾਸੁ ਕੀ ਦੁਖੀ ਸਸੁਰ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜੇਠ ਕੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਡਰਉ ਰੇ
सासु की दुखी ससुर की पिआरी जेठ के नामि डरउ रे ॥
Sās kī ḏukẖī sasur kī pi▫ārī jeṯẖ ke nām dara▫o re.
I am bothered by my mother-in-law, Maya, and loved by my father-in-law, the Lord. I fear even the name of my husband's elder brother, Death.

ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀ ਨਨਦ ਗਹੇਲੀ ਦੇਵਰ ਕੈ ਬਿਰਹਿ ਜਰਉ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
सखी सहेली ननद गहेली देवर कै बिरहि जरउ रे ॥१॥
Sakẖī sahelī nanaḏ gahelī ḏevar kai birėh jara▫o re. ||1||
O my mates and companions, my husband's sister, misunderstanding has seized me, and I am burning with the pain of separation from my husband's younger brother, divine knowledge. ||1||

ਮੇਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਬਉਰੀ ਮੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਓ ਕਿਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਰਹਨਿ ਰਹਉ ਰੇ
मेरी मति बउरी मै रामु बिसारिओ किन बिधि रहनि रहउ रे ॥
Merī maṯ ba▫urī mai rām bisāri▫o kin biḏẖ rahan raha▫o re.
My mind has gone insane, since I forgot the Lord. How can I lead a virtuous lifestyle?

ਸੇਜੈ ਰਮਤੁ ਨੈਨ ਨਹੀ ਪੇਖਉ ਇਹੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਾ ਸਉ ਕਹਉ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
सेजै रमतु नैन नही पेखउ इहु दुखु का सउ कहउ रे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sejai ramaṯ nain nahī pekẖa▫o ih ḏukẖ kā sa▫o kaha▫o re. ||1|| rahā▫o.
He rests in the bed of my mind, but I cannot see Him with my eyes. Unto whom should I tell my sufferings? ||1||Pause||

ਬਾਪੁ ਸਾਵਕਾ ਕਰੈ ਲਰਾਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਦ ਮਤਵਾਰੀ
बापु सावका करै लराई माइआ सद मतवारी ॥
Bāp sāvkā karai larā▫ī mā▫i▫ā saḏ maṯvārī.
My step-father, egotism, fights with me, and my mother, desire, is always intoxicated.

ਬਡੇ ਭਾਈ ਕੈ ਜਬ ਸੰਗਿ ਹੋਤੀ ਤਬ ਹਉ ਨਾਹ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੨॥
बडे भाई कै जब संगि होती तब हउ नाह पिआरी ॥२॥
Bade bẖā▫ī kai jab sang hoṯī ṯab ha▫o nāh pi▫ārī. ||2||
When I stayed with my elder brother, meditation, then I was loved by my Husband Lord. ||2||

ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਪੰਚ ਕੋ ਝਗਰਾ ਝਗਰਤ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ
कहत कबीर पंच को झगरा झगरत जनमु गवाइआ ॥
Kahaṯ Kabīr pancẖ ko jẖagrā jẖagraṯ janam gavā▫i▫ā.
Says Kabeer, the five passions argue with me, and in these arguments, my life is wasting away.

ਝੂਠੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਬਾਧਿਆ ਮੈ ਰਾਮ ਰਮਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥੩॥੨੫॥
झूठी माइआ सभु जगु बाधिआ मै राम रमत सुखु पाइआ ॥३॥३॥२५॥
Jẖūṯẖī mā▫i▫ā sabẖ jag bāḏẖi▫ā mai rām ramaṯ sukẖ pā▫i▫ā. ||3||3||25||
The false Maya has bound the whole world, but I have obtained peace, chanting the Name of the Lord. ||3||3||25||

ਆਸਾ
आसा ॥
Āsā.
Aasaa:

ਹਮ ਘਰਿ ਸੂਤੁ ਤਨਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਤਾਨਾ ਕੰਠਿ ਜਨੇਊ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ
हम घरि सूतु तनहि नित ताना कंठि जनेऊ तुमारे ॥
Ham gẖar sūṯ ṯanėh niṯ ṯānā kanṯẖ jane▫ū ṯumāre.
In my house, I constantly weave the thread, while you wear the thread around your neck, O Brahmin.

ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਤਉ ਬੇਦ ਪੜਹੁ ਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
तुम्ह तउ बेद पड़हु गाइत्री गोबिंदु रिदै हमारे ॥१॥
Ŧumĥ ṯa▫o beḏ paṛahu gā▫iṯarī gobinḏ riḏai hamāre. ||1||
You read the Vedas and sacred hymns, while I have enshrined the Lord of the Universe in my heart. ||1||

ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿਹਬਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਨੈਨ ਨਾਰਾਇਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਬਸਹਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਾ
मेरी जिहबा बिसनु नैन नाराइन हिरदै बसहि गोबिंदा ॥
Merī jihbā bisan nain nārā▫in hirḏai basėh gobinḏā.
Upon my tongue, within my eyes, and within my heart, abides the Lord, the Lord of the Universe.

ਜਮ ਦੁਆਰ ਜਬ ਪੂਛਸਿ ਬਵਰੇ ਤਬ ਕਿਆ ਕਹਸਿ ਮੁਕੰਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जम दुआर जब पूछसि बवरे तब किआ कहसि मुकंदा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jam ḏu▫ār jab pūcẖẖas bavre ṯab ki▫ā kahas mukanḏā. ||1|| rahā▫o.
When you are interrogated at Death's door, O mad-man, what will you say then? ||1||Pause||

ਹਮ ਗੋਰੂ ਤੁਮ ਗੁਆਰ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਰਖਵਾਰੇ
हम गोरू तुम गुआर गुसाई जनम जनम रखवारे ॥
Ham gorū ṯum gu▫ār gusā▫ī janam janam rakẖvāre.
I am a cow, and You are the herdsman, the Sustainer of the World. You are my Saving Grace, lifetime after lifetime.

ਕਬਹੂੰ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਿ ਚਰਾਇਹੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਖਸਮ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
कबहूं न पारि उतारि चराइहु कैसे खसम हमारे ॥२॥
Kabahūʼn na pār uṯār cẖarā▫ihu kaise kẖasam hamāre. ||2||
You have never taken me across to graze there - what sort of a herdsman are You? ||2||

ਤੂੰ ਬਾਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਨੁ ਮੈ ਕਾਸੀਕ ਜੁਲਹਾ ਬੂਝਹੁ ਮੋਰ ਗਿਆਨਾ
तूं बाम्हनु मै कासीक जुलहा बूझहु मोर गिआना ॥
Ŧūʼn bāmĥan mai kāsīk julhā būjẖhu mor gi▫ānā.
You are a Brahmin, and I am a weaver of Benares; can You understand my wisdom?

ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਤਉ ਜਾਚੇ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਉ ਮੋਰ ਧਿਆਨਾ ॥੩॥੪॥੨੬॥
तुम्ह तउ जाचे भूपति राजे हरि सउ मोर धिआना ॥३॥४॥२६॥
Ŧumĥ ṯa▫o jācẖe bẖūpaṯ rāje har sa▫o mor ḏẖi▫ānā. ||3||4||26||
You beg from emperors and kings, while I meditate on the Lord. ||3||4||26||

ਆਸਾ
आसा ॥
Āsā.
Aasaa:

ਜਗਿ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਐਸਾ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਜੈਸਾ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਸੁਪਨ ਸਮਾਨੰ
जगि जीवनु ऐसा सुपने जैसा जीवनु सुपन समानं ॥
Jag jīvan aisā supne jaisā jīvan supan samānaʼn.
The life of the world is only a dream; life is just a dream.

ਸਾਚੁ ਕਰਿ ਹਮ ਗਾਠਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਛੋਡਿ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੰ ॥੧॥
साचु करि हम गाठि दीनी छोडि परम निधानं ॥१॥
Sācẖ kar ham gāṯẖ ḏīnī cẖẖod param niḏẖānaʼn. ||1||
Believing it to be true, I grasped at it, and abandoned the supreme treasure. ||1||

ਬਾਬਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਹਿਤੁ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ
बाबा माइआ मोह हितु कीन्ह ॥
Bābā mā▫i▫ā moh hiṯ kīnĥ.
O Father, I have enshrined love and affection for Maya,

ਜਿਨਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਿਰਿ ਲੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ
जिनि गिआनु रतनु हिरि लीन्ह ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jin gi▫ān raṯan hir līnĥ. ||1|| rahā▫o.
which has taken the jewel of spiritual wisdom away from me. ||1||Pause||

ਨੈਨ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਤੰਗੁ ਉਰਝੈ ਪਸੁ ਦੇਖੈ ਆਗਿ
नैन देखि पतंगु उरझै पसु न देखै आगि ॥
Nain ḏekẖ paṯang urjẖai pas na ḏekẖai āg.
The moth sees with its eyes, but it still becomes entangled; the insect does not see the fire.

ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਚੇਤੈ ਕਨਿਕ ਕਾਮਿਨਿ ਲਾਗਿ ॥੨॥
काल फास न मुगधु चेतै कनिक कामिनि लागि ॥२॥
Kāl fās na mugaḏẖ cẖeṯai kanik kāmin lāg. ||2||
Attached to gold and woman, the fool does not think of the noose of Death. ||2||

ਕਰਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੁ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਸੋਇ
करि बिचारु बिकार परहरि तरन तारन सोइ ॥
Kar bicẖār bikār parhar ṯaran ṯāran so▫e.
Reflect upon this, and abandon sin; the Lord is a boat to carry you across.

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਐਸਾ ਦੁਤੀਅ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥੩॥੫॥੨੭॥
कहि कबीर जगजीवनु ऐसा दुतीअ नाही कोइ ॥३॥५॥२७॥
Kahi Kabīr jagjīvan aisā ḏuṯī▫a nāhī ko▫e. ||3||5||27||
Says Kabeer, such is the Lord, the Life of the World; there is no one equal to Him. ||3||5||27||

ਆਸਾ

Aasaa:

ਜਉ ਮੈ ਰੂਪ ਕੀਏ ਬਹੁਤੇਰੇ ਅਬ ਫੁਨਿ ਰੂਪੁ ਹੋਈ
जउ मै रूप कीए बहुतेरे अब फुनि रूपु न होई ॥
Ja▫o mai rūp kī▫e bahuṯere ab fun rūp na ho▫ī.
In the past, I have taken many forms, but I shall not take form again.
