ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਏਕੁ ਤਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਇਆ
चमतकार प्रगासु दह दिस एकु तह द्रिसटाइआ ॥
Cẖamaṯkār pargās ḏah ḏis ek ṯah ḏaristā▫i▫ā.
The brilliant flash of the One Lord is revealed to them - they behold Him in the ten directions.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਚਰਣ ਜੰਪੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਆਪਿ ਬਨਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੩॥੬॥
नानकु पइअम्पै चरण ज्मपै भगति वछलु हरि बिरदु आपि बनाइआ ॥४॥३॥६॥
Nānak pa▫i▫ampai cẖaraṇ jampai bẖagaṯ vacẖẖal har biraḏ āp banā▫i▫ā. ||4||3||6||
Prays Nanak, I meditate on the Lord's lotus feet; the Lord is the Lover of His devotees; this is His natural way. ||4||3||6||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਥਿਰੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਮਰੈ ਜਾਵਏ
थिरु संतन सोहागु मरै न जावए ॥
Thir sanṯan sohāg marai na jāv▫e.
The Husband Lord of the Saints is eternal; He does not die or go away.

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਹੁ ਸੁ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਰਾਵਏ
जा कै ग्रिहि हरि नाहु सु सद ही रावए ॥
Jā kai garihi har nāhu so saḏ hī rāv▫e.
She, whose home is blessed by her Husband Lord, enjoys Him forever.

ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਵਿਗਤੁ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਨਵਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ
अविनासी अविगतु सो प्रभु सदा नवतनु निरमला ॥
Avināsī avigaṯ so parabẖ saḏā navṯan nirmalā.
God is eternal and immortal, forever young and immaculately pure.

ਨਹ ਦੂਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਸਦ ਸਦਾ
नह दूरि सदा हदूरि ठाकुरु दह दिस पूरनु सद सदा ॥
Nah ḏūr saḏā haḏūr ṯẖākur ḏah ḏis pūran saḏ saḏā.
He is not far away, He is ever-present; the Lord and Master fills the ten directions, forever and ever.

ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਭਾਵਏ
प्रानपति गति मति जा ते प्रिअ प्रीति प्रीतमु भावए ॥
Parānpaṯ gaṯ maṯ jā ṯe pari▫a parīṯ parīṯam bẖāv▫e.
He is the Lord of souls, the source of salvation and wisdom. The Love of my Dear Beloved is pleasing to me.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਮਰੈ ਜਾਵਏ ॥੧॥
नानकु वखाणै गुर बचनि जाणै थिरु संतन सोहागु मरै न जावए ॥१॥
Nānak vakẖāṇai gur bacẖan jāṇai thir sanṯan sohāg marai na jāv▫e. ||1||
Nanak speaks what the Guru's Teachings have led him to know. The Husband Lord of the Saints is eternal; He does not die or go away. ||1||

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਰਾਮ ਭਤਾਰੁ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ
जा कउ राम भतारु ता कै अनदु घणा ॥
Jā ka▫o rām bẖaṯār ṯā kai anaḏ gẖaṇā.
One who has the Lord as her Husband enjoys great bliss.

ਸੁਖਵੰਤੀ ਸਾ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪੂਰਿ ਬਣਾ
सुखवंती सा नारि सोभा पूरि बणा ॥
Sukẖvanṯī sā nār sobẖā pūr baṇā.
That soul-bride is happy, and her glory is perfect.

ਮਾਣੁ ਮਹਤੁ ਕਲਿਆਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਰਜਨੁ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ
माणु महतु कलिआणु हरि जसु संगि सुरजनु सो प्रभू ॥
Māṇ mahaṯ kali▫āṇ har jas sang surjan so parabẖū.
She obtains honor, greatness and happiness, singing the Praise of the Lord. God, the Great Being, is always with her.

ਸਰਬ ਸਿਧਿ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਨਹੀ ਊਨਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਛੂ
सरब सिधि नव निधि तितु ग्रिहि नही ऊना सभु कछू ॥
Sarab siḏẖ nav niḏẖ ṯiṯ garihi nahī ūnā sabẖ kacẖẖū.
She attains total perfection and the nine treasures; her home lacks nothing. - everything is there.

ਮਧੁਰ ਬਾਨੀ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਬਣਾ
मधुर बानी पिरहि मानी थिरु सोहागु ता का बणा ॥
Maḏẖur bānī pirėh mānī thir sohāg ṯā kā baṇā.
Her speech is so sweet; she obeys her Beloved Lord; her marriage is permanent and everlasting.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਰਾਮੁ ਭਤਾਰੁ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ ॥੨॥
नानकु वखाणै गुर बचनि जाणै जा को रामु भतारु ता कै अनदु घणा ॥२॥
Nānak vakẖāṇai gur bacẖan jāṇai jā ko rām bẖaṯār ṯā kai anaḏ gẖaṇā. ||2||
Nanak chants what he knows through the Guru's Teachings: One who has the Lord as her Husband enjoys great bliss. ||2||

ਆਉ ਸਖੀ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਸਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਗੀਐ
आउ सखी संत पासि सेवा लागीऐ ॥
Ā▫o sakẖī sanṯ pās sevā lāgī▫ai.
Come, O my companions, let us dedicate ourselves to serving the Saints.

ਪੀਸਉ ਚਰਣ ਪਖਾਰਿ ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗੀਐ
पीसउ चरण पखारि आपु तिआगीऐ ॥
Pīsa▫o cẖaraṇ pakẖār āp ṯi▫āgī▫ai.
Let us grind their corn, wash their feet and so renounce our self-conceit.

ਤਜਿ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਟੈ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ਆਪੁ ਨਹ ਜਾਣਾਈਐ
तजि आपु मिटै संतापु आपु नह जाणाईऐ ॥
Ŧaj āp mitai sanṯāp āp nah jāṇā▫ī▫ai.
Let us shed our egos, and our troubles shall be removed; let us not display ourselves.

ਸਰਣਿ ਗਹੀਜੈ ਮਾਨਿ ਲੀਜੈ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ
सरणि गहीजै मानि लीजै करे सो सुखु पाईऐ ॥
Saraṇ gahījai mān lījai kare so sukẖ pā▫ī▫ai.
Let us take to His Sanctuary and obey Him, and be happy with whatever He does.

ਕਰਿ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸੀ ਤਜਿ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਜਾਗੀਐ
करि दास दासी तजि उदासी कर जोड़ि दिनु रैणि जागीऐ ॥
Kar ḏās ḏāsī ṯaj uḏāsī kar joṛ ḏin raiṇ jāgī▫ai.
Let us become the slaves of His slaves, and shed our sadness, and with our palms pressed together, remain wakeful day and night.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਉ ਸਖੀ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਸਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਗੀਐ ॥੩॥
नानकु वखाणै गुर बचनि जाणै आउ सखी संत पासि सेवा लागीऐ ॥३॥
Nānak vakẖāṇai gur bacẖan jāṇai ā▫o sakẖī sanṯ pās sevā lāgī▫ai. ||3||
Nanak chants what he knows through the Guru's Teachings; come, O my companions, let us dedicate ourselves to serving the Saints. ||3||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗ ਸਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇਆ
जा कै मसतकि भाग सि सेवा लाइआ ॥
Jā kai masṯak bẖāg sė sevā lā▫i▫ā.
One who has such good destiny written upon his forehead, dedicates himself to His service.

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਇਆ
ता की पूरन आस जिन्ह साधसंगु पाइआ ॥
Ŧā kī pūran ās jinĥ sāḏẖsang pā▫i▫ā.
One who attains the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, has his desires fulfilled.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਲਾਗਿਆ
साधसंगि हरि कै रंगि गोबिंद सिमरण लागिआ ॥
Sāḏẖsang har kai rang gobinḏ simraṇ lāgi▫ā.
In the Saadh Sangat, immerse yourself in the Love of the Lord; remember the Lord of the Universe in meditation.

ਭਰਮੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਤਿਆਗਿਆ
भरमु मोहु विकारु दूजा सगल तिनहि तिआगिआ ॥
Bẖaram moh vikār ḏūjā sagal ṯinėh ṯi▫āgi▫ā.
Doubt, emotional attachment, sin and duality - he renounces them all.

ਮਨਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵੂਠਾ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ
मनि सांति सहजु सुभाउ वूठा अनद मंगल गुण गाइआ ॥
Man sāʼnṯ sahj subẖā▫o vūṯẖā anaḏ mangal guṇ gā▫i▫ā.
Peace, poise and tranquility fill his mind, and he sings the Lord's Glorious Praises with joy and delight.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗ ਸਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੪॥੭॥
नानकु वखाणै गुर बचनि जाणै जा कै मसतकि भाग सि सेवा लाइआ ॥४॥४॥७॥
Nānak vakẖāṇai gur bacẖan jāṇai jā kai masṯak bẖāg sė sevā lā▫i▫ā. ||4||4||7||
Nanak chants what he knows through the Guru's Teachings: one who has such good destiny written upon his forehead, dedicates himself to His service. ||4||4||7||

ਸਲੋਕੁ
सलोकु ॥
Salok.
Shalok:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੰਤਿਆ ਕਛੁ ਕਹੈ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ
हरि हरि नामु जपंतिआ कछु न कहै जमकालु ॥
Har har nām japanṯi▫ā kacẖẖ na kahai jamkāl.
If you chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Messenger of Death will have nothing to say to you.

ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋਇ ਅੰਤੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ॥੧॥
नानक मनु तनु सुखी होइ अंते मिलै गोपालु ॥१॥
Nānak man ṯan sukẖī ho▫e anṯe milai gopāl. ||1||
O Nanak, the mind and body will be at peace, and in the end, you shall merge with the Lord of the world. ||1||

Chhant:

ਮਿਲਉ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਉਧਾਰਿ ਲੇਹੁ
मिलउ संतन कै संगि मोहि उधारि लेहु ॥
Mila▫o sanṯan kai sang mohi uḏẖār leho.
Let me join the Society of the Saints - save me, Lord!

ਬਿਨਉ ਕਰਉ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ
बिनउ करउ कर जोड़ि हरि हरि नामु देहु ॥
Bin▫o kara▫o kar joṛ har har nām ḏeh.
With my palms pressed together, I offer my prayer: give me Your Name, O Lord, Har, Har.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਾਗਉ ਚਰਣ ਲਾਗਉ ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਉ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਦਇਆ
हरि नामु मागउ चरण लागउ मानु तिआगउ तुम्ह दइआ ॥
Har nām māga▫o cẖaraṇ lāga▫o mān ṯi▫āga▫o ṯumĥ ḏa▫i▫ā.
I beg for the Lord's Name, and fall at His feet; I renounce my self-conceit, by Your kindness.

ਕਤਹੂੰ ਧਾਵਉ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਾਵਉ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਿ ਮਇਆ
कतहूं न धावउ सरणि पावउ करुणा मै प्रभ करि मइआ ॥
Kaṯahūʼn na ḏẖāva▫o saraṇ pāva▫o karuṇā mai parabẖ kar ma▫i▫ā.
I shall not wander anywhere else, but take to Your Sanctuary. O God, embodiment of mercy, have mercy on me.

ਸਮਰਥ ਅਗਥ ਅਪਾਰ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਿਨਉ ਏਹੁ
समरथ अगथ अपार निरमल सुणहु सुआमी बिनउ एहु ॥
Samrath agath apār nirmal suṇhu su▫āmī bin▫o ehu.
O all-powerful, indescribable, infinite and immaculate Lord Master, listen to this, my prayer.

ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥੧॥
कर जोड़ि नानक दानु मागै जनम मरण निवारि लेहु ॥१॥
Kar joṛ Nānak ḏān māgai janam maraṇ nivār leho. ||1||
With palms pressed together, Nanak begs for this blessing: O Lord, let my cycle of birth and death come to an end. ||1||
