ਬਿਖਮੋ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਅਖਾੜਾ ਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ
बिखमो बिखमु अखाड़ा मै गुर मिलि जीता राम ॥
Bikẖmo bikẖam akẖāṛā mai gur mil jīṯā rām.
Meeting the Guru, I have won the most arduous battle in the arena of life.

ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੀਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੂਟੀ ਭੀਤਾ ਭਰਮ ਗੜਾ
गुर मिलि जीता हरि हरि कीता तूटी भीता भरम गड़ा ॥
Gur mil jīṯā har har kīṯā ṯūtī bẖīṯā bẖaram gaṛā.
Meeting the Guru, I am victorious; praising the Lord, Har, Har, the walls of the fortress of doubt have been destroyed.

ਪਾਇਆ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ਸਾਣਥ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਪਿ ਖੜਾ
पाइआ खजाना बहुतु निधाना साणथ मेरी आपि खड़ा ॥
Pā▫i▫ā kẖajānā bahuṯ niḏẖānā sāṇath merī āp kẖaṛā.
I have obtained the wealth of so many treasures; the Lord Himself has stood by my side.

ਸੋਈ ਸੁਗਿਆਨਾ ਸੋ ਪਰਧਾਨਾ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ
सोई सुगिआना सो परधाना जो प्रभि अपना कीता ॥
So▫ī sugi▫ānā so parḏẖānā jo parabẖ apnā kīṯā.
He is the man of spiritual wisdom, and he is the leader, whom God has made His own.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਂ ਵਲਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਾ ਸਰਸੇ ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
कहु नानक जां वलि सुआमी ता सरसे भाई मीता ॥४॥१॥
Kaho Nānak jāʼn val su▫āmī ṯā sarse bẖā▫ī mīṯā. ||4||1||
Says Nanak, when the Lord and Master is on my side, then my brothers and friends rejoice. ||4||1||

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ
आसा महला ५ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 5.
Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਕਥਾ ਹਰਿ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਇ ਜਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ
अकथा हरि अकथ कथा किछु जाइ न जाणी राम ॥
Akthā har akath kathā kicẖẖ jā▫e na jāṇī rām.
Inexpressible is the sermon of the inexpressible Lord; it cannot be known at all.

ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਸਹਜਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ
सुरि नर सुरि नर मुनि जन सहजि वखाणी राम ॥
Sur nar sur nar mun jan sahj vakẖāṇī rām.
The demi-gods, mortal beings, angels and silent sages express it in their peaceful poise.

ਸਹਜੇ ਵਖਾਣੀ ਅਮਿਉ ਬਾਣੀ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਇਆ
सहजे वखाणी अमिउ बाणी चरण कमल रंगु लाइआ ॥
Sėhje vakẖāṇī ami▫o baṇī cẖaraṇ kamal rang lā▫i▫ā.
In their poise, they recite the Ambrosial Bani of the Lord's Word; they embrace love for the Lord's Lotus Feet.

ਜਪਿ ਏਕੁ ਅਲਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ
जपि एकु अलखु प्रभु निरंजनु मन चिंदिआ फलु पाइआ ॥
Jap ek alakẖ parabẖ niranjan man cẖinḏi▫ā fal pā▫i▫ā.
Meditating on the One incomprehensible and immaculate Lord, they obtain the fruits of their heart's desires.

ਤਜਿ ਮਾਨੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ
तजि मानु मोहु विकारु दूजा जोती जोति समाणी ॥
Ŧaj mān moh vikār ḏūjā joṯī joṯ samāṇī.
Renouncing self-conceit, emotional attachment, corruption and duality, their light merges into the Light.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀ ॥੧॥
बिनवंति नानक गुर प्रसादी सदा हरि रंगु माणी ॥१॥
Binvanṯ Nānak gur parsādī saḏā har rang māṇī. ||1||
Prays Nanak, by Guru's Grace, one enjoys the Lord's Love forever. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਸਜਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ਸਹਾਈ ਰਾਮ
हरि संता हरि संत सजन मेरे मीत सहाई राम ॥
Har sanṯā har sanṯ sajan mere mīṯ sahā▫ī rām.
The Lord's Saints - the Lord's Saints are my friends, my best friends and helpers.

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਰਾਮ
वडभागी वडभागी सतसंगति पाई राम ॥
vadbẖāgī vadbẖāgī saṯsangaṯ pā▫ī rām.
By great good fortune, by great good fortune, I have obtained the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਲਾਥੇ ਦੂਖ ਸੰਤਾਪੈ
वडभागी पाए नामु धिआए लाथे दूख संतापै ॥
vadbẖāgī pā▫e nām ḏẖi▫ā▫e lāthe ḏūkẖ sanṯāpai.
By great good fortune, I obtained it, and I meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; my pains and sufferings have been taken away.

ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਉ ਭਾਗੇ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਆਪੈ
गुर चरणी लागे भ्रम भउ भागे आपु मिटाइआ आपै ॥
Gur cẖarṇī lāge bẖaram bẖa▫o bẖāge āp mitā▫i▫ā āpai.
I have grasped the Guru's Feet, and my doubts and fears are gone. He Himself has erased my self-conceit.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਤਹਿ ਜਾਈ
करि किरपा मेले प्रभि अपुनै विछुड़ि कतहि न जाई ॥
Kar kirpā mele parabẖ apunai vicẖẖuṛ kaṯėh na jā▫ī.
Granting His Grace, God has united me with Himself; no longer do I suffer the pains of separation, and I shall not have to go anywhere.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੨॥
बिनवंति नानक दासु तेरा सदा हरि सरणाई ॥२॥
Binvanṯ Nānak ḏās ṯerā saḏā har sarṇā▫ī. ||2||
Prays Nanak, I am forever Your slave, Lord; I seek Your Sanctuary. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਦਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਸੋਹਨਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ
हरि दरे हरि दरि सोहनि तेरे भगत पिआरे राम ॥
Har ḏare har ḏar sohan ṯere bẖagaṯ pi▫āre rām.
The Lord's Gate - at the Lord's Gate, Your beloved devotees look beautiful.

ਵਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਜਾਵਾ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ
वारी तिन वारी जावा सद बलिहारे राम ॥
vārī ṯin vārī jāvā saḏ balihāre rām.
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, again and again a sacrifice to them.

ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੇ ਜਿਨ ਭੇਟਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ
सद बलिहारे करि नमसकारे जिन भेटत प्रभु जाता ॥
Saḏ balihāre kar namaskāre jin bẖetaṯ parabẖ jāṯā.
I am forever a sacrifice, and I humbly bow to them; meeting them, I know God.

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ
घटि घटि रवि रहिआ सभ थाई पूरन पुरखु बिधाता ॥
Gẖat gẖat rav rahi▫ā sabẖ thā▫ī pūran purakẖ biḏẖāṯā.
The Perfect and All-powerful Lord, the Architect of Destiny, is contained in each and every heart, everywhere.

ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਜੂਐ ਜਨਮੁ ਹਾਰੇ
गुरु पूरा पाइआ नामु धिआइआ जूऐ जनमु न हारे ॥
Gur pūrā pā▫i▫ā nām ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā jū▫ai janam na hāre.
Meeting the Perfect Guru, we meditate on the Naam, and do not lose this life in the gamble.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਾਖੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
बिनवंति नानक सरणि तेरी राखु किरपा धारे ॥३॥
Binvanṯ Nānak saraṇ ṯerī rākẖ kirpā ḏẖāre. ||3||
Prays Nanak, I seek Your Sanctuary; please, shower Your Mercy upon me, and protect me. ||3||

ਬੇਅੰਤਾ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੇਤਕ ਗਾਵਾ ਰਾਮ
बेअंता बेअंत गुण तेरे केतक गावा राम ॥
Be▫anṯā be▫anṯ guṇ ṯere keṯak gāvā rām.
Innumerable - innumerable are Your Glorious Virtues; how many of them can I sing?

ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਣਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਣ ਧੂੜਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਵਾ ਰਾਮ
तेरे चरणा तेरे चरण धूड़ि वडभागी पावा राम ॥
Ŧere cẖarṇā ṯere cẖaraṇ ḏẖūṛ vadbẖāgī pāvā rām.
The dust of Your feet, of Your feet, I have obtained, by great good fortune.

ਹਰਿ ਧੂੜੀ ਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਈਐ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਈਐ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖ ਲਾਥੇ
हरि धूड़ी न्हाईऐ मैलु गवाईऐ जनम मरण दुख लाथे ॥
Har ḏẖūṛī nĥā▫ī▫ai mail gavā▫ī▫ai janam maraṇ ḏukẖ lāthe.
Bathing in the Lord's dust, my filth has been washed away, and the pains of birth and death have departed.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਥੇ
अंतरि बाहरि सदा हदूरे परमेसरु प्रभु साथे ॥
Anṯar bāhar saḏā haḏūre parmesar parabẖ sāthe.
Inwardly and outwardly, the Transcendent Lord God is ever-present, always with us.

ਮਿਟੇ ਦੂਖ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਪਾਵਾ
मिटे दूख कलिआण कीरतन बहुड़ि जोनि न पावा ॥
Mite ḏūkẖ kali▫āṇ kīrṯan bahuṛ jon na pāvā.
Suffering departs, and there is peace; singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, one is not consigned to reincarnation again.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਿ ਤਰੀਐ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
बिनवंति नानक गुर सरणि तरीऐ आपणे प्रभ भावा ॥४॥२॥
Binvanṯ Nānak gur saraṇ ṯarī▫ai āpṇe parabẖ bẖāvā. ||4||2||
Prays Nanak, in the Guru's Sanctuary, one swims across, and is pleasing to God. ||4||2||

ਆਸਾ ਛੰਤ ਮਹਲਾ ਘਰੁ
आसा छंत महला ५ घरु ४
Āsā cẖẖanṯ mėhlā 5 gẖar 4
Aasaa, Chhant, Fifth Mehl, Fourth House:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਨ ਮੀਠਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ
हरि चरन कमल मनु बेधिआ किछु आन न मीठा राम राजे ॥
Har cẖaran kamal man beḏẖi▫ā kicẖẖ ān na mīṯẖā rām rāje.
My mind is pierced by the Lord's Lotus Feet; He alone is sweet to my mind, the Lord King.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਡੀਠਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ
मिलि संतसंगति आराधिआ हरि घटि घटे डीठा राम राजे ॥
Mil sanṯsangaṯ ārāḏẖi▫ā har gẖat gẖate dīṯẖā rām rāje.
Joining the Society of the Saints, I meditate on the Lord in adoration; I behold the Lord King in each and every heart.

ਹਰਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਡੀਠਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੋੁ ਵੂਠਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਠੇ
हरि घटि घटे डीठा अम्रितो वूठा जनम मरन दुख नाठे ॥
Har gẖat gẖate dīṯẖā amriṯo vūṯẖā janam maran ḏukẖ nāṯẖe.
I behold the Lord in each and every heart, and the Ambrosial Nectar rains down upon me; the pains of birth and death are gone.

ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਗਾਇਆ ਸਭ ਦੂਖ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਗਾਠੇ
गुण निधि गाइआ सभ दूख मिटाइआ हउमै बिनसी गाठे ॥
Guṇ niḏẖ gā▫i▫ā sabẖ ḏūkẖ mitā▫i▫ā ha▫umai binsī gāṯẖe.
Singing the Praises of the Lord, the treasure of virtue, all my pains are erased, and the knot of ego has been untied.
