ਸਚੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਸਚੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
Sacẖe mere sāhibā sacẖī ṯerī vadi▫ā▫ī.
O My True Lord Master, True is Your glorious greatness.

ਤੂੰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
Ŧūʼn pārbarahm be▫anṯ su▫āmī ṯerī kuḏraṯ kahaṇ na jā▫ī.
You are the Supreme Lord God, the Infinite Lord and Master. Your creative power cannot be described.

ਸਚੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਤੁਧੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੇ ॥
Sacẖī ṯerī vadi▫ā▫ī jā ka▫o ṯuḏẖ man vasā▫ī saḏā ṯere guṇ gāvhe.
True is Your glorious greatness; when You enshrine it within the mind, one sings Your Glorious Praises forever.

ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਜਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਹੇ ॥
Ŧere guṇ gāvahi jā ṯuḏẖ bẖāvėh sacẖe si▫o cẖiṯ lāvhe.
He sings Your Glorious Praises, when it is pleasing to You, O True Lord; he centers his consciousness on You.

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਸੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਈ ॥
Jis no ṯūʼn āpe melėh so gurmukẖ rahai samā▫ī.
One whom You unite with Yourself, as Gurmukh, remains absorbed in You.

ਇਉ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਚੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਸਚੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੧੦॥੨॥੭॥੫॥੨॥੭॥
I▫o kahai Nānak sacẖe mere sāhibā sacẖī ṯerī vadi▫ā▫ī. ||10||2||7||5||2||7||

ਜੀਵਨੋ ਮੈ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Jīvno mai jīvan pā▫i▫ā gurmukẖ bẖā▫e rām.
Life - I have found real life, as Gurmukh, through His Love.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਮੇਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Har nāmo har nām ḏevai merai parān vasā▫e rām.
The Lord's Name - He has given me the Lord's Name, and enshrined it within my breath of life.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਸਭੁ ਸੰਸਾ ਦੂਖੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
Har har nām merai parān vasā▫e sabẖ sansā ḏūkẖ gavā▫i▫ā.
He has enshrined the Name of the Lord, Har, Har within my breath of life, and all my doubts and sorrows have departed.

ਅਦਿਸਟੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Aḏisat agocẖar gur bacẖan ḏẖi▫ā▫i▫ā paviṯar param paḏ pā▫i▫ā.
I have meditated on the invisible and unapproachable Lord, through the Guru's Word, and I have obtained the pure, supreme status.

ਅਨਹਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਵਾਜੇ ਗਾਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
Anhaḏ ḏẖun vājėh niṯ vāje gā▫ī saṯgur baṇī.
The unstruck melody resounds, and the instruments ever vibrate, singing the Bani of the True Guru.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦਾਤੈ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥੧॥
Nānak ḏāṯ karī parabẖ ḏāṯai joṯī joṯ samāṇī. ||1||
O Nanak, God the Great Giver has given me a gift; He has blended my light into the Light. ||1||

ਮਨਮੁਖਾ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਮੁਏ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
Manmukẖā manmukẖ mu▫e merī kar mā▫i▫ā rām.
The self-willed manmukhs die in their self-willed stubbornness, declaring that the wealth of Maya is theirs.

ਖਿਨੁ ਆਵੈ ਖਿਨੁ ਜਾਵੈ ਦੁਰਗੰਧ ਮੜੈ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
Kẖin āvai kẖin jāvai ḏurganḏẖ maṛai cẖiṯ lā▫i▫ā rām.
They attach their consciousness to the foul-smelling pile of filth, which comes for a moment, and departs in an instant.

ਲਾਇਆ ਦੁਰਗੰਧ ਮੜੈ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਜਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਕਸੁੰਭ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
Lā▫i▫ā ḏurganḏẖ maṛai cẖiṯ lāgā ji▫o rang kasumbẖ ḏikẖā▫i▫ā.
They attach their consciousness to the foul-smelling pile of filth, which is transitory, like the fading color of the safflower.

ਖਿਨੁ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਖਿਨੁ ਪਛਮਿ ਛਾਏ ਜਿਉ ਚਕੁ ਕੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਿਆਰਿ ਭਵਾਇਆ ॥
Kẖin pūrab kẖin pacẖẖam cẖẖā▫e ji▫o cẖak kumĥi▫ār bẖavā▫i▫ā.
One moment, they are facing east, and the next instant, they are facing west; they continue spinning around, like the potter's wheel.

ਦੁਖੁ ਖਾਵਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੰਚਹਿ ਭੋਗਹਿ ਦੁਖ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਧਿ ਵਧਾਈ ॥
Ḏukẖ kẖāvėh ḏukẖ saʼncẖėh bẖogėh ḏukẖ kī biraḏẖ vaḏẖā▫ī.
In sorrow, they eat, and in sorrow, they gather things and try to enjoy them, but they only increase their stores of sorrow.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਤਰੀਐ ਜਾ ਆਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੨॥
Nānak bikẖam suhelā ṯarī▫ai jā āvai gur sarṇā▫ī. ||2||
O Nanak, one easily crosses over the terrifying world-ocean, when he comes to the Sanctuary of the Guru. ||2||

ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਨੀਕਾ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Merā ṯẖākuro ṯẖākur nīkā agam athāhā rām.
My Lord, my Lord Master is sublime, unapproachable and unfathomable.

ਹਰਿ ਪੂਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਜੀ ਚਾਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Har pūjī har pūjī cẖāhī mere saṯgur sāhā rām.
The wealth of the Lord - I seek the wealth of the Lord, from my True Guru, the Divine Banker.

ਹਰਿ ਪੂਜੀ ਚਾਹੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਸਾਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਗੁਣ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
Har pūjī cẖāhī nām bisāhī guṇ gāvai guṇ bẖāvai.
I seek the wealth of the Lord, to purchase the Naam; I sing and love the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਨੀਦ ਭੂਖ ਸਭ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਸੁੰਨੇ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥
Nīḏ bẖūkẖ sabẖ parhar ṯi▫āgī sunne sunn samāvai.
I have totally renounced sleep and hunger, and through deep meditation, I am absorbed into the Absolute Lord.

ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਇਕ ਭਾਤੀ ਆਵਹਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈ ਜਾਹੇ ॥
vaṇjāre ik bẖāṯī āvahi lāhā har nām lai jāhe.
The traders of one kind come and take away the Name of the Lord as their profit.

ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
Nānak man ṯan arap gur āgai jis parāpaṯ so pā▫e. ||3||
O Nanak, dedicate your mind and body to the Guru; one who is so destined, attains it. ||3||

ਰਤਨਾ ਰਤਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬਹੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਭਰਿਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
Raṯnā raṯan paḏārath baho sāgar bẖari▫ā rām.
The great ocean is full of the treasures of jewels upon jewels.

ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਹਥਿ ਚੜਿਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
Baṇī gurbāṇī lāge ṯinĥ hath cẖaṛi▫ā rām.
Those who are committed to the Word of the Guru's Bani, see them come into their hands.

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਹਥਿ ਚੜਿਆ ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
Gurbāṇī lāge ṯinĥ hath cẖaṛi▫ā nirmolak raṯan apārā.
This priceless, incomparable jewel comes into the hands of those who are committed to the Word of the Guru's Bani.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਤੋਲਕੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥
Har har nām aṯolak pā▫i▫ā ṯerī bẖagaṯ bẖare bẖandārā.
They obtain the immeasurable Name of the Lord, Har, Har; their treasure is overflowing with devotional worship.

ਸਮੁੰਦੁ ਵਿਰੋਲਿ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਹਮ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਇਕ ਵਸਤੁ ਅਨੂਪ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥
Samunḏ virol sarīr ham ḏekẖi▫ā ik vasaṯ anūp ḏikẖā▫ī.
I have churned the ocean of the body, and I have seen the incomparable thing come into view.

ਗੁਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਗੋੁਵਿੰਦੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੇਦੁ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥੮॥
Gur govinḏ govinḏ gurū hai Nānak bẖeḏ na bẖā▫ī. ||4||1||8||
The Guru is God, and God is the Guru, O Nanak; there is no difference between the two, O Siblings of Destiny. ||4||1||8||

ਝਿਮਿ ਝਿਮੇ ਝਿਮਿ ਝਿਮਿ ਵਰਸੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਧਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Jẖim jẖime jẖim jẖim varsai amriṯ ḏẖārā rām.
Slowly, slowly, slowly, very slowly, the drops of Ambrosial Nectar trickle down.
