ਓਹੁ ਜੇਵ ਸਾਇਰ ਦੇਇ ਲਹਰੀ ਬਿਜੁਲ ਜਿਵੈ ਚਮਕਏ
ओहु जेव साइर देइ लहरी बिजुल जिवै चमकए ॥
Oh jev sā▫ir ḏe▫e lahrī bijul jivai cẖamka▫e.
It is temporary, like the waves on the sea, and the flash of lightning.

ਹਰਿ ਬਾਝੁ ਰਾਖਾ ਕੋਇ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੋਇ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਆ
हरि बाझु राखा कोइ नाही सोइ तुझहि बिसारिआ ॥
Har bājẖ rākẖā ko▫e nāhī so▫e ṯujẖėh bisāri▫ā.
Without the Lord, there is no other protector, but you have forgotten Him.

ਸਚੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਚੇਤਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਰਹਿ ਹਰਣਾ ਕਾਲਿਆ ॥੧॥
सचु कहै नानकु चेति रे मन मरहि हरणा कालिआ ॥१॥
Sacẖ kahai Nānak cẖeṯ re man marėh harṇā kāli▫ā. ||1||
Nanak speaks the Truth. Reflect upon it, O mind; you shall die, O black deer. ||1||

ਭਵਰਾ ਫੂਲਿ ਭਵੰਤਿਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ
भवरा फूलि भवंतिआ दुखु अति भारी राम ॥
Bẖavrā fūl bẖavanṯi▫ā ḏukẖ aṯ bẖārī rām.
O bumble bee, you wander among the flowers, but terrible pain awaits you.

ਮੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਛਿਆ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ
मै गुरु पूछिआ आपणा साचा बीचारी राम ॥
Mai gur pūcẖẖi▫ā āpṇā sācẖā bīcẖārī rām.
I have asked my Guru for true understanding.

ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੁਝੈ ਪੂਛਿਆ ਭਵਰੁ ਬੇਲੀ ਰਾਤਓ
बीचारि सतिगुरु मुझै पूछिआ भवरु बेली रातओ ॥
Bīcẖār saṯgur mujẖai pūcẖẖi▫ā bẖavar belī rāṯa▫o.
I have asked my True Guru for understanding about the bumble bee, who is so involved with the flowers of the garden.

ਸੂਰਜੁ ਚੜਿਆ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਪੜਿਆ ਤੇਲੁ ਤਾਵਣਿ ਤਾਤਓ
सूरजु चड़िआ पिंडु पड़िआ तेलु तावणि तातओ ॥
Sūraj cẖaṛi▫ā pind paṛi▫ā ṯel ṯāvaṇ ṯāṯa▫o.
When the sun rises, the body will fall, and it will be cooked in hot oil.

ਜਮ ਮਗਿ ਬਾਧਾ ਖਾਹਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਸਬਦ ਬਿਨੁ ਬੇਤਾਲਿਆ
जम मगि बाधा खाहि चोटा सबद बिनु बेतालिआ ॥
Jam mag bāḏẖā kẖāhi cẖotā sabaḏ bin beṯāli▫ā.
You shall be bound and beaten on the road of Death, without the Word of the Shabad, O madman.

ਸਚੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਚੇਤਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਰਹਿ ਭਵਰਾ ਕਾਲਿਆ ॥੨॥
सचु कहै नानकु चेति रे मन मरहि भवरा कालिआ ॥२॥
Sacẖ kahai Nānak cẖeṯ re man marėh bẖavrā kāli▫ā. ||2||
Nanak speaks the Truth. Reflect upon it, O mind; you shall die, O bumble bee. ||2||

ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਅੜਿਆ ਪਰਦੇਸੀਆ ਕਿਤੁ ਪਵਹਿ ਜੰਜਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ
मेरे जीअड़िआ परदेसीआ कितु पवहि जंजाले राम ॥
Mere jī▫aṛi▫ā parḏesī▫ā kiṯ pavėh janjāle rām.
O my stranger soul, why do you fall into entanglements?

ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਕੀ ਫਾਸਹਿ ਜਮ ਜਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ
साचा साहिबु मनि वसै की फासहि जम जाले राम ॥
Sācẖā sāhib man vasai kī fāsėh jam jāle rām.
The True Lord abides within your mind; why are you trapped by the noose of Death?

ਮਛੁਲੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੀ ਨੈਣ ਰੁੰਨੀ ਜਾਲੁ ਬਧਿਕਿ ਪਾਇਆ
मछुली विछुंनी नैण रुंनी जालु बधिकि पाइआ ॥
Macẖẖulī vicẖẖunnī naiṇ runnī jāl baḏẖik pā▫i▫ā.
The fish leaves the water with tearful eyes, when the fisherman casts his net.

ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਅੰਤਿ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ
संसारु माइआ मोहु मीठा अंति भरमु चुकाइआ ॥
Sansār mā▫i▫ā moh mīṯẖā anṯ bẖaram cẖukā▫i▫ā.
The love of Maya is sweet to the world, but in the end, this delusion is dispelled.

ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਛੋਡਿ ਮਨਹੁ ਅੰਦੇਸਿਆ
भगति करि चितु लाइ हरि सिउ छोडि मनहु अंदेसिआ ॥
Bẖagaṯ kar cẖiṯ lā▫e har si▫o cẖẖod manhu anḏesi▫ā.
So perform devotional worship, link your consciousness to the Lord, and dispel anxiety from your mind.

ਸਚੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਚੇਤਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਜੀਅੜਿਆ ਪਰਦੇਸੀਆ ॥੩॥
सचु कहै नानकु चेति रे मन जीअड़िआ परदेसीआ ॥३॥
Sacẖ kahai Nānak cẖeṯ re man jī▫aṛi▫ā parḏesī▫ā. ||3||
Nanak speaks the Truth; focus your consciousness on the Lord, O my stranger soul. ||3||

ਨਦੀਆ ਵਾਹ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ਮੇਲਾ ਸੰਜੋਗੀ ਰਾਮ
नदीआ वाह विछुंनिआ मेला संजोगी राम ॥
Naḏī▫ā vāh vicẖẖunni▫ā melā sanjogī rām.
The rivers and streams which separate may sometime be united again.

ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਵਿਸੁ ਭਰੇ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਰਾਮ
जुगु जुगु मीठा विसु भरे को जाणै जोगी राम ॥
Jug jug mīṯẖā vis bẖare ko jāṇai jogī rām.
In age after age, that which is sweet, is full of poison; how rare is the Yogi who understands this.

ਕੋਈ ਸਹਜਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਨਿ ਚੇਤਿਆ
कोई सहजि जाणै हरि पछाणै सतिगुरू जिनि चेतिआ ॥
Ko▫ī sahj jāṇai har pacẖẖāṇai saṯgurū jin cẖeṯi▫ā.
That rare person who centers his consciousness on the True Guru, knows intuitively and realizes the Lord.

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਮ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਪਚਹਿ ਮੁਗਧ ਅਚੇਤਿਆ
बिनु नाम हरि के भरमि भूले पचहि मुगध अचेतिआ ॥
Bin nām har ke bẖaram bẖūle pacẖėh mugaḏẖ acẖeṯi▫ā.
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the thoughtless fools wander in doubt, and are ruined.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੇ ਅੰਤਿ ਧਾਹੀ ਰੁੰਨਿਆ
हरि नामु भगति न रिदै साचा से अंति धाही रुंनिआ ॥
Har nām bẖagaṯ na riḏai sācẖā se anṯ ḏẖāhī runni▫ā.
Those whose hearts are not touched by devotional worship and the Name of the True Lord, shall weep and wail loudly in the end.

ਸਚੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਮੇਲਿ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥੫॥
सचु कहै नानकु सबदि साचै मेलि चिरी विछुंनिआ ॥४॥१॥५॥
Sacẖ kahai Nānak sabaḏ sācẖai mel cẖirī vicẖẖunni▫ā. ||4||1||5||
Nanak speaks the Truth; through the True Word of the Shabad, those long separated from the Lord, are united once again. ||4||1||5||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaʼnkār saṯgur parsāḏ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ਛੰਤ ਘਰੁ
आसा महला ३ छंत घरु १ ॥
Āsā mėhlā 3 cẖẖanṯ gẖar 1.
Aasaa, Third Mehl, Chhant, First House:

ਹਮ ਘਰੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ
हम घरे साचा सोहिला साचै सबदि सुहाइआ राम ॥
Ham gẖare sācẖā sohilā sācẖai sabaḏ suhā▫i▫ā rām.
Within my home, the true wedding songs of rejoicing are sung; my home is adorned with the True Word of the Shabad.

ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਮੇਲੁ ਭਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ
धन पिर मेलु भइआ प्रभि आपि मिलाइआ राम ॥
Ḏẖan pir mel bẖa▫i▫ā parabẖ āp milā▫i▫ā rām.
The soul-bride has met her Husband Lord; God Himself has consummated this union.

ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਸਚੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਸਹਜੇ ਮਾਤੀ
प्रभि आपि मिलाइआ सचु मंनि वसाइआ कामणि सहजे माती ॥
Parabẖ āp milā▫i▫ā sacẖ man vasā▫i▫ā kāmaṇ sėhje māṯī.
God Himself has consummated this union; the soul-bride enshrines Truth within her mind, intoxicated with peaceful poise.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ਸਚਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਰਾਵੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ
गुर सबदि सीगारी सचि सवारी सदा रावे रंगि राती ॥
Gur sabaḏ sīgārī sacẖ savārī saḏā rāve rang rāṯī.
Embellished with the Word of the Guru's Shabad, and beautified with Truth, she enjoys her Beloved forever, imbued with His Love.

ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ
आपु गवाए हरि वरु पाए ता हरि रसु मंनि वसाइआ ॥
Āp gavā▫e har var pā▫e ṯā har ras man vasā▫i▫ā.
Eradicating her ego, she obtains her Husband Lord, and then, the sublime essence of the Lord dwells within her mind.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਸਫਲਿਉ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
कहु नानक गुर सबदि सवारी सफलिउ जनमु सबाइआ ॥१॥
Kaho Nānak gur sabaḏ savārī safli▫o janam sabā▫i▫ā. ||1||
Says Nanak, fruitful and prosperous is her entire life; she is embellished with the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||1||

ਦੂਜੜੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ
दूजड़ै कामणि भरमि भुली हरि वरु न पाए राम ॥
Ḏūjṛai kāmaṇ bẖaram bẖulī har var na pā▫e rām.
The soul-bride who has been led astray by duality and doubt, does not attain her Husband Lord.

ਕਾਮਣਿ ਗੁਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਰਾਮ
कामणि गुणु नाही बिरथा जनमु गवाए राम ॥
Kāmaṇ guṇ nāhī birthā janam gavā▫e rām.
That soul-bride has no virtue, and she wastes her life in vain.

ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਇਆਣੀ ਅਉਗਣਵੰਤੀ ਝੂਰੇ
बिरथा जनमु गवाए मनमुखि इआणी अउगणवंती झूरे ॥
Birthā janam gavā▫e manmukẖ i▫āṇī a▫ugaṇvanṯī jẖūre.
The self-willed, ignorant and disgraceful manmukh wastes her life in vain, and in the end, she comes to grief.

ਆਪਣਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਦੂਰੇ
आपणा सतिगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ ता पिरु मिलिआ हदूरे ॥
Āpṇā saṯgur sev saḏā sukẖ pā▫i▫ā ṯā pir mili▫ā haḏūre.
But when she serves her True Guru, she obtains peace, and then she meets her Husband Lord, face to face.

ਦੇਖਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਵਿਗਸੀ ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਸਰਸੀ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ
देखि पिरु विगसी अंदरहु सरसी सचै सबदि सुभाए ॥
Ḏekẖ pir vigsī anḏrahu sarsī sacẖai sabaḏ subẖā▫e.
Beholding her Husband Lord, she blossoms forth; her heart is delighted, and she is beautified by the True Word of the Shabad.

ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਣੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੨॥
नानक विणु नावै कामणि भरमि भुलाणी मिलि प्रीतम सुखु पाए ॥२॥
Nānak viṇ nāvai kāmaṇ bẖaram bẖulāṇī mil parīṯam sukẖ pā▫e. ||2||
O Nanak, without the Name, the soul-bride wanders around, deluded by doubt. Meeting her Beloved, she obtains peace. ||2||
